The Ainsworth - Chelsea

Decent food, frustrating experience. Mac & Cheese burger - - looked amazing, tasted good. Korean short rib tacos - - bland, could be they were too cold from sitting out, as elaborated below. Weekday 9pm. The only way to order food was through the two bartenders. Waited at the bar 10 min before I could place my order. Told it would be served at the bar where I ordered it. That area was too crowded for my friend, so we sat at the nearest table with direct line of sight to the bar, us facing the bar and constantly monitoring it for signs of food, and occasionally walking to the bar just in case it was hidden behind people at the bar. After waiting 50 min, I asked a bartender the status of my order. He shrugged and went back to taking drink orders. I then got the original bartender's attention, she said it had been waiting unclaimed for 20 minutes so she put it in the back. Which didn't quite make sense, given the constant monitoring. Brought it outside to eat, since it was too loud for chatting indoors. I don't blame the bartenders, I'm sure they were doing their best given how understaffed the restaurant was. But the restaurant was painfully ill-equipped to handle food orders.

The food was amazing! If you have time to wait and just have time to chat with friends, family or a love one then definitely come here. I wish I read the reviews before I dined here. One thing is for sure you will be WAITING for your food and to be serviced. When you tell the waiter to give you a few more minutes they are definitely a bit too generous. The only reason I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the wait time. I am thankful our waiter checked on us to ask us if we were okay but the waiting time for the food was a long wait. However, I rather wait and know my food was cooked properly then not. It was worth the wait because the food was up to par and it certainly gave this sports bar a different element. This place definitely gives you more of a “lounge” vibe than a “sports bar” The rosé sangria was really refreshing it kinda gave me a bit of Bellini vibe without the bubbles. Our waiter recommended anything other than the garlic Parmesan wings Im not sure if it’s because it was her personal preference or customers didn’t really enjoy them. I did order the Thai Chili wings and they were amazing. It was subtle but not bland. Mac and cheese burger was very filling I only ate half. It is a bit a messy so be ready to get your hands dirty. ( don’t worry it’s worth it) Mac and Cheese Bites had the perfect consistency all around.

Saw a picture of the gold dusted wings about a year ago and decided I wanted them the next time I was in New York. Got the venue, get seated and my friend and I each order 10 wings at $45 per order. We ask the waitress if we can get all drums and flats as we each had a preference. She told us we could only get flats.... I ask a staff member and he was as perplexed as I was. He then assured me we would get an even number of both, ok. We then asked for some Grand Marnier...same waitress said they didn't serve that there... again another staff member corrected her and then she proceeded to ask how we wanted it. Our wings arrive, I'm excited as I've waited for a year to try them...ate one and the disappointment that washed over my face was apparent. Same for my friend who ate 2 and then stopped to say "these really aren't good". Management removed one order from our bill as I couldn't eat them and even the smell started to bother me. Ordered the fried mac and cheese burger instead...it was bland, ate about half of it and pushed it away.. And I had to constantly ask our waitress for things throughout the time we were there that we'd asked for from the beginning because she'd forget then disappear for 15 mins at a time. This experience was unfortunately a bad one for us. But if you want some social media pics, it may be worth it to some.

I went for my birthday for the infamous 24k gold wings, and they did not disappoint. Fun atmosphere and music. The mac and cheese burger was delicious as well. Fair prices, and good service staff. Great experience.

A couple of days prior to my reservation on 04/22 I received a call from ainsworth staff stating they will be having a drag show they stated that we could either move you to another section of the place or you can watch I stated my party will watch. When we arrived at the restaurant at 131 and it was empty. They seated us almost in the back of the restaurant and slowly other people began to come in. We noticed they started to section off an area ( as seen in the picture ). We were then segregated from everyone else in the restaurant no one told us that would happen. The host told us we would be able to see the show from our seats. She never told us that we would separated from everyone in the back area. Our waiter was not attentive we often saw her record or looking at the show. The music was very catered to the people who were attending the show. After they left the music changed and I felt that this was all racial motivated. Being that the women who attended the show were all Caucasian and we were the only African Americans in the restaurant. When I googled the restaurant to see if it was a separate event it in fact was and the restaurant showed closed. Never did they tell us that it would be closed if I was given that option I would have never gone to the restaurant. I tried to speak with the manager on duty but she was very dismissive of my feelings. I left her know that I was not looking for a discount but I was just letting her know how it felt to be the only African Americans in the restaurant seated in the place while causcian women were seated separate from us. Had we been told that it was a closed event we would have never came there. To see the music switch and the staff put the seating back to normal we felt very slighted and not listen to by the staff. I wish the manager could have been more understanding when we spoke to her instead she brushed us off and our concerns and but said sorry as we walked out the door. If anyone was in our position and segregated from the other people in the restaurant they would feel the same way we do right now. Even the food was not up to par I ordered a medium rare steak and it was medium over done very dry and chewy. This was a very unpleasant experience and I will not be returning to any establishment associated with the ainsworth name.

The food was very good. I order a side of Buffalo wings and the famous Mac and Cheese burger. Both were very good. The only thing I did not like was that my friends and I had to sit on bar stools facing a wall. We had very little room to move. It just felt uncomfortable. The place was not busy and there were empty tables. So when I asked the hostess why we could not be seated at one of the tables she said they were reserved for a party. She said it with an attitude, like I'm bothering her. So I finished my food and probably stayed an extra 25min ordering more drinks. When we left I noticed the reserved tables were still empty and I asked the other hostess about the reserved tables for the party and she looked at me confused and said she was unaware about a party. Again the food deserves 5 STARS but the attitude from the first hostess made my first experience at The Ainsworth uncomfortable. My friends and I will not be returning to The Ainsworth.

I'll start by saying that I came here during the slow time between lunch and dinner. We were seated right away and our waitress was attentive to the table and helpful. We came for the Mac and Cheeseburger and it didn't disappoint. The burger had good flavor and it was a good mac and cheese. The fries were also good and the pickle was a nice touch.

The vibe at the Ainsworth is fun. It is more like a sports club, akin to Bounce, than a typical sports bar. Ainsworth has all the TVs to show all the NFL games on Sundays. The music is fun and there are separate bottle service areas. Why three stars? The service is awful. I have been there a few times hoping it was better before posting this review but it's consistently bad. The bartenders often lose their place in the rotation and are rude. Lastly, there is next to no floor service outside of the bottle service area although there are tables. Ainsworth has a long way to go before customers will feel valued.

Extremely slow on a non sports day. Came here for a business lunch and besides 3 people at the bar and 1 other table, we were the only ones in the place. All of us ordered burgers (either classic or Chelsea) as you which everyone was very happy with their orders... when they finally came out. Seemed odd that with an empty restaurant there was such a lag of service (25 min from order to table). I anticipate happy hour to be a lot more lively, but all in all, great burgers!!

Drinks/service/atmosphere were great! Very hip place with a little photo shoot area for the gram. I'm sad I got there too late to try the food but it looks bomb from the pictures. Will definitely return :)

The staff here are either scammers or completely incompetent. They tried to scam not 1 but 2 credit cards away from my boyfriend by claiming they did not have them behind the bar and that my boyfriend had them.. The bartender said they had no cards under his last name. We saw his name TWICE on the computer screen. We had to demand these bartenders look for a card with his last name. By some magic, they found one of the cards because a kind man next to us told us to have them check the drawer where they keep the cards... they looked and finally found a card. What a wild idea, to check the drawer where y'all keep the cards to maybe find a customers card! That must not be something they teach you in bartending classes. YIKES. Next we are looking for his American Express which they tried to claim I had... which I truly did not because I don't ever hold our credit cards because tbh, I would lose them. But anyways, another magic trick coming up here y'all, the bartender found the card and brought it over! Impressed they could look at find 2 cards after really claiming for about a half an hour that they had neither card. This was some Harry Potter level magic that they conjured up two credit cards that they never had! If it weren't for this Dustin Poirier event, I would have never came here because honestly the Yelp reviews just aren't good. The staff is wildly incompetent and the manager acted like they had no idea what a credit card even was. Stay away.

I don't understand what this place is trying to be. Went here on a Sunday afternoon to watch football. They first red flag was that they had a bouncer ... for brunch. I watched them make other patrons dump their water bottles before entering and myself was required to throw out a freshly purchased tea. On top of that, the prices were above average for NYC brunch without any deals for Sunday football. Food was fine but nothing to write home about.

My friends and I got called racial slurs here and the manager said they had no power to reprimand said clientele. During Halloweekened, we were verbally accosted by patrons of Ainsworth Chelsea, but management said that because they had paid for a table, there wasn't anything the restaurant can do. It's unacceptable, frankly, that an establishment would turn such a blind eye to racism and tolerate such repugnant behavior.

College Gameday did me a favor 2 years ago by having their show in Times Square. They let me know that there is a restaurant/bar where Alabama alumni gather to watch Alabama games. That place is The Ainsworth on 26th. When I entered, the first employee gave me a Roll Tide since I was wearing a Bama hat. Now that's service I love! Haha I love the decor because there are approximately 35 TVs throughout the restaurant. This would be an excellent spot for me or any Alabama fan to watch any sporting event. The hostess did say that the wildest time in the restaurant is when an Alabama football game is on haha. As for food, I chose the Mac and Cheese burger with a side of Ainsworth sauce. The burger came with fries. First of all, the mac and cheese was phenomenal! It was definitely homemade and I am guessing was made with cheddar cheese. It was simply some of the best I have had. That was one of the main reasons I chose the Mac and Cheese burger so I could end up with 2 sides instead of 1. The burger was loaded with mac and cheese and had a fried mac and cheese patty. It was also massive! I couldn't attack it without removing the patty. I enjoyed the Ainsworth sauce as it is a type of mayo-ketchup mix. My burger was cooked the way I like it and had a fresh, chargrilled taste to it. However, the fries were disappointing. I hate to say but they were McDonald's fries. They were hot, fresh, and crisp though. I would expect better fries from a place like The Ainsworth. You could upgrade your fries to I think Garlic Parmesan. I would recommend me that unless you enjoy fast foos fries. I love the fact that they gave me a whole glass bottle of water. The Ainsworth does have steaks and other entrees. They were just a little bit out of my budget. But if you are looking for a place to watch sports with phenomenal mac and cheese and a solid burger, try The Ainsworth. And make sure you come on Alabama gameday and yell "Roll Tide"!

Used to get dragged here by coworkers. This sports bar has a very loungey vibe; it's basically a sports bar for obnoxious yuppies who are desperate for everything to feel 'upscale'. Crowd has been borderline unbearable each time I've gone and they absolutely trash the place. The staff is friendly enough which saves it from 1 star. Music is loud as hell to the point that it's hard to hear others, let alone follow games. Drinks are pricey for what this place is (including $8 for a generic mass produced lager, let alone mixed drinks) and the food is just ok. There's obviously a market for this given how they pack out, but count me as a hater. I find it horrid. My coworker met Cuba Gooding Junior here and gave him a creepy hug. Other than that, nothing else worth noting about the place.

Went here with a work colleague to have a few beers. Diana behind the bar was a superstar! Very respectful, attentive, and with a great and funny personality. She definitely livened up the joint on a empty holiday-weekend Saturday night. I think it was only her first week but she knew exactly what she was doing and didn't dally around or fall behind on tasks. Great job, Diana!

Hey y'all, let me tell you about my experience at The Ainsworth in Chelsea - it was a total train wreck! So, we arrived on time for our reservation, and were informed that there was a drag show happening that evening and asked if we wanted to move to another area. We thought, why not? It could be fun! But, the reality was far from it. We were seated in a completely empty restaurant (other than a few people at the bar), and the menu was completely different from what we had expected. And the brunch platter that I had promised my friend was nowhere to be found! To top it off, the drag show was for a private party, so we were the only ones there other than the private guests. The food was nasty, and to add insult to injury, we were served our mimosas in plastic champagne flutes and had to make them ourselves! The drag show was a total flop, but maybe it just wasn't our cup of tea. Our waiter was more interested in the show than checking in on us, and to make matters worse, the music was outdated 60s and 70s tunes that didn't really resonate with us. We complained to the manager, not looking for freebies or discounts, just hoping they would understand our experience. But instead, we were told that the drag show was for a private party and they accommodated us by letting us eat there. Seriously? We were left isolated in a half-empty restaurant with a poor menu and terrible entertainment. It's such a shame because I had such high hopes, especially after the great experience I had at The Ainsworth in Rockville Center. I would say the salad that came with my steak was good, that's it. I got White Castle right after!

Place is insanely loud. Think standing in front of a wall of speakers at a stadium concert of Metallica.

I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars but upping it to 4 because of their famous Mac and Cheese Burger. Ambiance - Bro-bar but an upscale bro bar with plenty of televisions on for sports. I thought about it quite a bit. But this is like where that guy from college was pounding back 40s of Olde English and slamming his head against the wall and then suddenly you accidentally see him ten years later and he's miraculously succeeded in life and is now loaded and drinking away and eating cheeseburgers at The Ainsworth. Maybe I have way too vivid of an imagination. Maybe I hit it dead on the nail. But it didn't stop me from visiting the place and checking out their menu. For my drink I went with a maple old fashioned. It was a little too sweet than I particularly like for old fashioneds but I still drank it and I wasn't planning on getting drunk for the evening anyway. They do have a nice happy hour though until 7pm of $1 oysters, $5 draft beers, and half off wines. Appetizers - We split both an order of oysters and the Hanger Steak Flatbread. The oysters were oysters. Nice presentation but I can never eat too many of these guys. The flatbread was one of my favorite parts of the evening. Steak was flavorful and chopped up with a great sauce and liberally sprinkled with gorgonzola cheese. For our meals we split the mac and cheese burger and the porterhouse steak. The burger is impressive. It's definitely shareable. It was juicy and cooked right, the mac on it is tasty and definitely not dry and there's some kind of deep fried mac layer as well. One thing it could have used that's random is a sauce base to cut the carb on carb on carb action. Maybe a chipotle aioli or a hot sauce to cut it but something. Or even pickles on the side. But it was good. The steak on the other hand wasn't so good and so not good that it almost made this review 3 stars worthy. It was just a really poor cut of meat and not worth the price tag. Half the steak was ribboned with thick layers of fat in between. I took half of it to go with me and even the next day, it was barely edible. The chimichurri sauce that its also served with is incredibly oily. Like 90 percent oil, 10 percent cilantro and fresh herbs ratio kind of chimichurri. Service was outstanding however and makes this place pleasant to dine in. I learned about the burger challenge. Brace yourself. But if you finish three mac and cheese burgers stacked on top of each other (mind you I was only able to eat half of this sucker) with a side of fries and a pickle spear you get the meal for free and $500 in cash. They only note that professional food competition eaters are not able to participate for the cash prize. But hey, remember my first paragraph? I bet that guy can finish the burger challenge.

Very convenient to watch New England Patriot football games when we are in New York and the game is not on Prime Time! Especially when we are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn on 33rd & Park Avenue Lots of TVs: 23! So multiple TVs show the game you want! Very comfortable & relaxing! Good bar food: mac & cheese, fries, truffle fries and lots if burgers! Service is good but music & noise level too loud for me.

A "sports bar" with only one game on the 20 TV's they have there! The server could have cared less that we were there. Bloody Mary with old, sour tomato juice and a vodka tonic with bad tonic. Not much else to say!

Really cool vibe and a huge space! Fun Friday evening hanging out with families. The place was loud so we asked to sit by the window near the entrance. Service was quick as the waitress took our order promptly and the food came out in 15 mins. Appetizers: Wings: we ordered mild and it definitely had a kick to it. There were 8 pieces per order and they were gone in a minute! Flatbread: it wasn't bad but I liked it when the crust was crispy. It was a bit soft on the edge. Guacamole: chips were so good and guacamole was very fresh!! We literally took the very last tiny bit before the waiter took the tray away. Beef sliders: yum! Main dishes: well, everyone ordered the burger except I ordered the apple poppy which was awesome!! Loved having some fruit and raisins and pecan in my salad. Portion was generous. So going back to the burgers. Each one came with lots of fries and you can ask for truffle fries instead of regular ones. Both were good. The hanger and classic burger were juicy. The Mac & Cheese burger looked very messy and it was very messy to eat! We had lots of fries left as we were all in food coma.

Great music, my waiter wasn't the best. Had to keep calling her over as she stood and held conversation with other coworkers. The food was great. I had the Mac and cheese burger and my wife had the hanger steak burger. The burgers were cooked ass ordered. Vibe 100/100, waiter 20/100, music 100/100(hip-hop/r&b), food 90/100.

Thank you, Facebook. For when I can't find local food places via activity on Yelp, I turn to those that post pics and videos and links of foodish adventures. That's basically how I got word of The Ainsworth. The name is fine and the place looked great from this "Insider" video, but what grabbed my tastebuds and eventually led me here was the mac & cheese burger. Words won't do justice. Go to the pics. Hey wait! Before you leave you might as well read the rest of the review as to why The Ainsworth received four Yelp-filled stars. I mean pictures are a little better than my writing, but trust me when I say The A had a prestigious and chic vibe that crossed over nicely with the best attributes of a sports bar (the bar and the sports, of course). Our waitress was a friendly gal and did well in keeping up with our demands (not like my mother and I are that demanding...well, at least I'm not). We ordered drinks, an app, and a few entrees (one you already know). The beer menu wasn't super vast but they did have Ommegang's Witbier to start things off. Mi madre had her wine. Our appetizer would actually be considered a "small plate" under The Ainsworth's medium-sized menu, though it means little to me as long as the food is good. And our sweet & spicy tri-color cauliflower did the trick with a more tangy than hot sauce along with tender veggies. Main course time! Starting with the item you don't know, mama got steak tacos complete with guac, chipotle adobo, and lime. I took a bite and was pleased (but more importantly so was she). If you're still with me it's finally time for the burger unveiling. Of course I went for the mac & cheese style and it came pretty close to my expectations. Gooey macaroni with cheese oozing out from all over the patty. Speaking of patty, there was a fried mac & cheese patty loaded onto the burger as well. Speaking even further about the patty, it was a bit on the small side. But the juicy, cheesy flavor was there. Fries and a pickle rounded out my rectangular platter. Overall, The Ainsworth is worthy of its burger credentials and warrants a visit even with its Manhattan prices. Consider it next time you find yourself strolling the city, if for no other reason then as a way to say "I've been there!" when you see the social media video.

Came here afterwork with my colleague to meet up with my other colleague and his friends. Shoot it was super packed...jeez christ barely any walking room. My other colleague was sitting towards the back of the house by the bar. I got the green beer and took me awhile to drink it then sadly the beer got warm and bitter so my colleague drank it to not waste it lol. The music was pretty good with a mixture of old and new. The minus is the bathroom was on the other side where there was a mob of people in the path.

Super courteous and attentive staff here. I waited to meet the guys before a concert at The Garden and was seated with a bottle of Perrier. It was on a Sunday at 5pm so the dining area was midfull. I had the Goose Island IPA (India Pale Ale) which was light and crisp and went well with appys and the entree. We shared 3 apps. The wings were average. Calamari was great, neither overdone nor soggy and seasoned well. The sliders tasted great, not overdone. My bud had the Mac n Cheese which was cooked medium. He stated the sliders were better because it was way too dry. I had the same burger medium rare which was juicy and perfect. I cut it in half and was able to handle all that cheese, mac n lettuce tomato. I really should have stopped after 1/2. Friend's friend had Chicken BLT which has avocado and garlic which he enjoyed. The bar was full of patrons watching the Kentucky Wichita State game. I had a great experience. Would go back for drinks at the bar. Advise to anyone getting a burger, order it medium rare or rare.

Came here for a college football game. TVs everywhere, any spot is a good spot. Staff is excellent, very attentive even with a huge crowd. Grayce is great and took great care of us. Atmosphere and music was great, has a club feel. All in all a great experience and would recommend.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. The food was atrocious, service staff was unprofessional, slow and rude, and our food took 3 HOURS to get to our table. Felt nauseous the next day if that says anything.

We came to The Ainsworth to celebrate our good friend's birthday on a Saturday night. It wasn't too busy at around 9:30pm. The Food: 3.5/5. The 24K gold wings were certainly a sight to see, but nothing special and lacked flavor. The mac and cheese burger was ENORMOUS. The patty was under seasoned, but the mac and cheese was AMAZING. The Service: 3.5/5. The hostess wasn't very welcoming or friendly, but our server was nice and very accommodating. If you're looking to snap some great pics for the 'gram, this is definitely one of the top spots to go. The music is fun and ambiance is pretty chill overall. We'd come here to watch a game or just hang out, and perhaps just stick to an order of mac and cheese to snack on.

The bar is spacious with multiple flat screen TVs in every corner of the room and 2 large screens opposite of the bar. It's a sports bar, but the decor is more chic' and modern with an upscale feel to it. I've been here twice to watch the GOT episodes. The first time was the Winterfell battle and they were understaffed for the event. They had 1 waiter and 2 bartenders to take the orders and a few bus personnel to serve the food and handle the tables. I give the staff a lot of credit handling the situation and managed to serve us and other patrons. The second time, there were plenty of staff at the bar, but no wait staff. We ordered our food at the bar, and then the food was served to us via number system. We had to take the initiative to get a bottle of water and condiments because there was no wait staff. The staff was attentive and served as much as a good to handle the load of patrons. I had low expectations of the food since it has so so yelp reviews. The food was actually delicious. The prices are on the higher side, but to be expected of the area. The hanger steak flatbread to start was outstanding. My friend ordered it during the battle of Winterfell and we opted to order it again for the Bells, and it was as good as the first try. The apple poppy salad was top notch with all those amazing ingredients: cranberries, apple, frisee, roasted pecans and the yummiest vinagrette. The sandwiches were decent; we had the macaroni burger and it was as greasy as expected, but I still enjoyed picking at the macaroni oozing out of the burger. The short rib grilled cheese I would skip because the bread didn't hold up and it was soggy at the end. The beers on draft were delicious.

We loved it! We literally had the whole place to ourselves on a Friday at happy hour. Perfect. A few of us sat at the bar and caught up. Food was delicious and more than reasonably price. The drinks were too because it was happy hour. The place is beautiful compared to so many other venues and the perfect start to our evening. We weren't there on a game day so had an entirely different experience than most every other reviewer in here.

Be careful about booking with this location. We made a booking on a Tuesday and they confirmed via opentable, took our credit card information and all. And then the next day called us to let us know they are cancelling the reservation because they had a party. Just poor customer service.

I had an amazing time at The Ainsworth! I made reservations (not always needed) and was greeted by the host who was ready to seat my party. Everything was delicious! I had the famous Mac and cheese burger which is fried Mac & cheese, with a patty and cheesy macaroni spilling out. OMG the most guilty pleasure for a cheat day haha. I also tried their 24k golden wings which were really good! Taste a little like buffalo wings but really good and saucy. The thought of it being "gold" is mental lol. The candied bacon was something by tastebuds we're excited about. It made me want to go home and attempt to recreate it lol. Also tried the Brussels sprouts with bacon, a ribeye sandwich, the side of macaroni and a few drinks. Top notch everything in my opinion. The chefs took their time with my table to perfect every dish! The only downside was that I was not informed that they would close early. Apparently they close early when it is not busy. They said they lose more money. They were scheduled to close at 1 am and closed at about 11 pm. With that being said I was not notified that the kitchen would close early. As a dessert lover and connoisseur, I was eager to try their desert. I was sadly disappointed. Other than that everything was fantastic! I would give 4.5 stars but half stars are not an option lol. High recommend! I posted the menu because items slightly differ online and each location =]

Do you wear business casual or better to work? Is the cheering of Yankee fan finance bros your preferred soundtrack? Are you fond of long waits for drinks you pay too entirely too much for? Well, have I got a place for you. (I'm talking about The Ainsworth, if that wasn't clear. It should've been, since you're reading reviews of The Ainsworth.) This is ostensibly a sports bar, and the flatscreens, burger-driven menu, and rowdy crowd would tend to agree. However, the selectively enforced dress code, the $16 cocktails, and the weak pours of beer are understandably confusing. Thankfully, they also offer friendly service with a smile (although it is strangely slow, even when the bar is not packed), a passable selection of beer, and a convenient and fairly comfortable place to gather...especially if you need a few cocktails/beers before eating entirely too much meat at Wolfgang's next door.

The bar is really spacious which is unusual for the area so it is fine if you are just going for drinks. However, the food is definitely a miss. The Mac and Cheese and the guac were both fine. Got suckered into the instagramable gold wings and while they definitely looked cool, they tasted terrible. Won't be coming back here unless it is for drinks only.

$40 a cocktail!! Cocktails in New York are around $20-$25. $40 a cocktail is trying to take advantage of people that are there for their friends birthday celebration. Needles to say we are not going to return to the place and recommend you try a different place as well.

Wont be around long. Can't read the menu In 9 font. Food bad. All brought out at wrong times. Burgers overdone. Skirt steak cold. Waitress bitched that she only had 2 hours. Worst meal ever in NYC. Don't come here. Also, poor beer selection.

Ainsworth-it, as my wife said. Way, Way, Way overpriced $8 bud light drafts and $13 for a shot (half shot was poured) of Jameson. Stopped in here for a quick drink on a Sunday night and although they have a ton of tvs to watch the game, an unmanned dj booth was blaring (it was nightclub loud) top 40 to an empty dance floor. The layout of the place makes no sense. It looks like the owners bought a sports bar and desperately wanted a nightclub.

The Ainsworth is a great spot to hang out after work for happy hour. It always has a great crowd and customer service is very good. They have great drinks and the prices are reasonable. Hands down the best mac and cheese burger I've had so far. If you come here, I recommend it.

It's a mixed bag of 5 star and 1 star experiences for me at The Ainsworth, so ratings wise it naturally falls somewhere in the middle. When they're at the top of their game, I'd be hard pressed to suggest a better sports bar in the hood. When things are going sour, they're no different than any other mediocre experience. Solely based on venue alone, The Ainsworth delivers. The modern and spacious interior isn't just pleasing to the eye, but really showcases the space's versatility. It is part lounge, part sports bar and with plenty of TVs and a killer audio system to boot. For the non sports fans, this doubles as a solid restaurant where one can order an array of edibles that would hardly be considered as bar food. There is no shortage of variety when it comes to this place. For crowds, it can be everything from herds of college football alumni to DBag city within a few hours. Then there is the work crowd for the lunch or early dinner hour which may or may not include a lively happy hour. The place may not seem like a place to score cheap hordes of food and that's about right. While the smoked chicken quesadilla is a decent starter, it certainly doesn't feel like a $14 appetizer. Same goes for a bowl of standard hummus, which is a pricey $12 on its own. I do remember enjoying a Mexican burger ($16) once, but I also remember being incredibly disappointed with their AINS 26 ($15) burger, which was undercooked and under seasoned. Not feeling like a burger? Perhaps a grilled sandwich or lobster sliders? Together they're only a whopping $30. No biggie. What usually trumps a good time here isn't so much the crowd, but the service. I've had a fair share of awesome bartenders and apathetic wait staff. Some cop a little attitude sometimes, but considering their unruly crowds at times, few could blame them for being less of a stickler to detail.

Food was spectacular and tons of TVs here to watch football. Our server Grayce was very attentive and made sure we got the game we wanted to watch right in front of us.

If your not specifically looking for this place you may walk right by it, there isn't a ton of signage outside and it's nestled toward the middle of 26th street. Once you get inside though the decor is great, plenty of chandeliers hanging and simple wood decor. Now getting to the part we all want to hear about... the food. Naturally I ordered the mac and cheese burger and my father ordered the French onion burger. We had also ordered chips and guacamole to split which were pretty subpar, not really worth mentioning but I did. The mac and cheese burger far exceeded my expectations and was a culinary treat, definitely too much for me to finish but I appreciate the size. My fathers burger however was quite mediocre and not even that big. He was able to finish it no problem and wound up having a couple bites of mine. Service was also subpar for it not being very busy our waiter wasn't very attentive. Overall: if your coming for the mac and cheese burger you won't be disappointed, if your coming for anything else well then at least I warned you.

Had to chase down a server for a food order. Then again for a second round of drinks. Been an hour since we got here and still no food. Don't bother unless you have the patience of a saint.

This restaurant has a great vibe. Our waitress Grayce Orser was polite and very accommodating. Fun place for drinks, fun food and to watch a game!

Football game day vibes are off the charts! When Alabama football is playing, do not go anywhere else in the city. Yellow hammers, crowd cheering together, Dixieland Delight, Rammer Jammer. Packed college crowd was perfect.

Let's just start off with the fact that this is my second time coming here. My first time I ordered a Mac and cheese burger. The burger was made to my liking and was absolutely delicious. I was a little thirsty haha. So I tried The Roosevelt and the Crooked Knife. Excellent drinks made strong actually. I am a blue label straight up so yea I enjoy strong drinks. Yesterday my girlfriend told me about these 24k gold wings @foodgod had posted on Instagram. I guess it's some collaboration he's got with them. Anyways. They were absolutely delicious. Just like the menu said. "It's instagram worthy" well put! I posted it on my story minutes later. Haha. I really don't have anything bad to say about it as per why I gave it 5 stars. Food, drinks, music, and Yankee baseball on the tv? Yankees won of course What more can I say. Great night! #LetsGoYankees

Best bar in Manhattan. TVs everywhere. Massive booths. Bomb food. DJs. Roll ride ! GO PATS

This is one of the main Alabama bars in Manhattan so I am only reviewing it from that standpoint. I haven't been here at a time when Alabama isn't playing. It is bananas during a game. I feel lucky that I'm a dude because the ladies have to wait for the restroom. The nice thing is that there is a "concierge" who prevents the ladies from going into the men's room and taking over the place. The place is huge, the beer is mediocre but the service is surprisingly great. For a Bama game, expect it to be crowded, loud and very drunken. Not sure how it is other times, but they manage it pretty well.

The Ainsworth has been a wonderful atmosphere for friends, fun and food. We had multiple drinks off the signature menu and were pleased by all. Raul was the perfect server with personality and skill. He made our visit everything we could have wanted and more. We tasted everything from the Mac and cheese bites to the nachos (we substituted pita chips-I'm allergic to corn), and the Brussels. They were so accommodating. Made sure we were satisfied, enjoying our visit as well as thoroughly having a good time. We good not have been more thankful. The drinks are strong! We had our drink are tried to pace ourselves but we're pretty tipsy trying to eat. We ordered sliders, nachos (which they allowed they pita again- amazing) as well as the fries. Everything was not to order like ha ha hot. Shots were perfect management checked in. Nothing could have gone better. We will be back!!

If anyone is looking for the definition of hospitality just look up JC in the dictionary. There is nothing better than walking into an establishment for the first time and feeling like the most important person in the room and JC delivered that tonight. Great place and great service 10/10

Overpriced food, weak drinks, full of bros in their 20s, and music way too loud. Will be avoiding this place in the future. Went on a Sunday afternoon to watch football and celebrate a friend's bday. Cocktails are $16 and really weak. Burgers $16 and just ok (5 Guys is better). Place was playing music so loud we couldn't even talk, and there's no dance floor. Why do that?
