"The Alchemist made me realize that all breakfast sandwiches should come with avocado and a mason jar of iced coffee. Grabbing a quick bite to eat can easily turn into sitting on their porch for an hour and a half. It's a small, local coffee shop that has everything going for it." - Nick Rourke

"We blame the many mall food court crap-eries for diminishing the status of the crêpe, which is why we almost skipped this restaurant entirely. But Voo La Voo truly respects the crêpe and its heartier savory cousin, the galette. The menu follows the rules: sweet fillings get stuffed into a delicate white flour crêpe, while savory fillings get wrapped in a chewier buckwheat galette. You can take your food to go, but it’s hard to walk past the charming covered patio and not take a seat. Just know that Voo La Voo is only open for breakfast and lunch." - carlos c olaechea

"The Alchemist is a coffee shop in Wilton Manors that also serves breakfast and lunch. They have a selection of tartines they call slicers, but most of the food here is kind of lackluster. The Alchemist specializes in percolator coffee and is one of the few coffee shops in South Florida still making coffee using this old-school technique. They also have a few unique, non-percolated coffee drinks like a very sweet iced coffee made with cold brew, condensed milk, and brown sugar that tastes like liquid coffee ice cream. The best part about this place isn’t the food or coffee, though—it’s the lovely patio where you can catch up with friends or people watch on the weekends, when this place gets a little too busy." - Carlos C Olaechea

Stumbled upon this cute cafe after our cruise docked on Ft Lauderdale. They were the only ones open early and had a patio large enough to house our luggage. The outdoor space is so lush and beautiful it was so calm and relaxing The food was absolutely delicious and the waffles were so incredibly fluffy! Highly recommend this location for brunch!

I’ve been here many times and it never disappoints. The Chef Breakfast was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the Alchemist iced coffee was next level delicious. Great vibes and friendly service every time!

The vibes were amazing especially outside! They had cats and a roaster outside with couple of big lizards. The plants and the tables make you feel like you're sitting in your own patio. The food was good and the service .

I had a girl and guy help me, both were nice. This place has plenty of parking and it’s beautiful here. Additionally, I was surprised to see a chicken and cat chilling together when I was there. I got a toast with a vanilla latte and while they were both good, I will say it was pretty expensive. The latte was great, probably one of the best ones I’ve ever had. It came with coffee ice cubes so it never watered down. I would definitely come back.

I just had to share my recent visit to The Alchemist! I was there for a business meeting and hadn’t been back in quite some time. I was immediately impressed by the overall aesthetics and layout—it has truly been enhanced since my last visit. I had previously avoided dining here due to food allergies, assuming they couldn’t accommodate. I initially ordered an herbal tea and planned to skip the food, but the person I was meeting encouraged me to ask about their options—and I’m so glad I did! To my surprise, they offer gluten-friendly breads as well as vegan and vegetarian options. I was extremely impressed—not only was the gluten-free bread delicious, but they also didn’t overcharge for it, which is rare. I also had a small mix-up with my payment, accidentally using the wrong credit card. Even though they weren’t accustomed to processing a return and recharging a different card, Mauricio, Tekhi, and Elaine quickly problem-solved and made it happen seamlessly. The customer service here is outstanding, and the entire experience left me beyond satisfied. If you’re looking to support a local business that truly values its customers, provides a welcoming atmosphere, and offers great gluten-friendly options, The Alchemist is the place to go! Highly recommend!

This is a fantastic place to start your weekend. We enjoyed a breakfast crossiant and two delicious coffees in their beautiful garden. Indoor seating is also available. The employees are very friendly, and you listen to relaxing music while you enjoy your breakfast.

Google
The chef’s breakfast special and their alchemist coffee. They might be named The Alchemist but there’s definitely sorcery with the food and drinks bec of how good they were. We were greeted with “welcome home” which was a nice touch and the place has a very relaxing atmosphere!

Yelp
A friend of mine recommended this restaurant, so my wife decided to take me on a little brunch date. Entering Alchemist, you immediately see this huge menu board, which I thought was a great idea, know what you want before you order. I loved how open the space was; it felt very chill and free. The person at the counter had a very nice and bubbly personality and was super patient with me since it was my first time. I ended up ordering the chicken and waffle (which I'm a huge sucker for) with a side of eggs and açaí iced tea, and my wife ordered the chef's breakfast. I did notice this restaurant was very environmentally conscious, from the plates to the biodegradable cutlery, so if you're the kind of person that appreciates that, then this is a plus. The chicken and waffles were good. I did see on the menu that the chicken is air-fried, which, for being air-fried, was tender, juicy, and well-seasoned. 9/10 The açaí iced tea tasted fresh. It was not overloaded with sugar and had just the right kind of sweetness. 9/10 I tried the chef's breakfast, which is a hash brown waffle with eggs, guacamole, bacon bits, and cilantro. Mannn, this was sooo sooo good. 10/10 recommend. Overall: Alchemist, with its beautiful scenery and commitment to the environment, delivers a great experience without compromising on the quality of food. I will definitely come back.

Yelp
We went to the Alchemist based on its great reviews. They have a really cute outdoor seating area that feels like a garden. It is dog-friendly, too. There is a rooster or chicken roaming around, so keep that in mind if your dog will try to bark at it. You order at the counter, and they bring the food and drinks out to you. We found the service was lacking. We ordered dine-in, and they brought 3 of our 4 meals out and completely forgot about the 4th, so everyone was waiting for me to finally get my sandwich (that we had to remind them about). We ordered a second time to get a to-go sandwich, and they also forgot about our second order. It was a little chaotic, and we ended up waiting a long time. The food itself was good. I had the croissant breakfast sandwich with egg and avocado. The waffle hash brown was probably the highlight! It was delicious and crispy. I also got the Alchemist iced coffee and got it half-sweet, and that was very good! Loved the iced coffee. We had an apple cookie that was yummy. We thought it was very funny that they said they could cut it into 4 pieces for us to split, and they cut it like strips of cookie instead of 4 equal pieces. Still tasted delish! I think it's worth checking out the Alchemist for the food and the environment!

Yelp
I was looking for a place to grab a quick bite and/or maybe coffee with a friend to tell her all about my adventures in the DR and randomly found this place. Nestled behind a few other buildings is this cute little coffee shop right next to a Mexican restaurant. The parking is a little limited but you can park where it says parking for the Mexican restaurant as well. Upon entering, you will see a large menu with a QR code to see the menu with pictures. We love a menu with pictures! The weather was perfect to eat outside! We were greeted with the cutest, nicest man ever as he persuaded us to try the chefs waffle. This place is known for their potato waffle (basically a hash brown in the shape of a waffle). Plus, I had to try the iced coffee with coffee ice cubes! The food came out pretty quick. They even gave us extra bacon! I would recommend adding hot sauce. Perfect touch! The waffle came loaded with protein. Lots of avocado. Eggs. Bacon. Loved it! My waffle was really crispy and almost wish it was a little less. The coffee kept me going through the afternoon! Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!

Yelp
This is a great brunch spot due to their aesthetic outdoor atmosphere and hippie vibe! They have plenty of seating outdoors but it was packed since it was a Saturday afternoon. You need to order inside at their counter. It's a tight area so there's a line of people waiting outside the door. There were also some tables that were empty but had dirty cups and dishes on them. Eventually, someone went around to clear the tables. I tried their golden latte and Caprese slider. The drink was interestingly good and wasn't too sweet. Warning - don't get this drink iced because there's ghee in it so it will rise up when you add ice. Luckily, one of the team members mentioned this to us when she brought us our food. The Caprese was pretty ordinary to me and wasn't anything special. I tried my friend's hash brown waffle which was great and unique.

Yelp
Always a treat dining on lovely cool fall morning (South Fl standards) Absolutely delish...I def added guac to amplify the goodness that the meal offers. I also had an awesome cold house coffee. The brew was

Yelp
An icon of brunching in Fort Lauderdale, firmly seated in the top spot on a rotating list of the many brunch options in the area. The vibe is just perfect, lovely outdoor and indoor seating options, with cute small covered tables and plants all around to make you feel like you're truly in paradise. Almost always get the chef's breakfast - great textures and flavors, ultimate form of a hashbrown/tater tot. Also sometimes get the smoked salmon, and usually drink the Lemonana. Can get a bit windy but it's all good with a hat. And if you're lucky, there are a couple outdoor cats that curl up at your feet once in a while. Service is good for the volume of customers this place gets.

Yelp
Food is Amazing... I can't remember the owners name... but super nice guy... the veggie lasagna was delicious and there drinks should be bottled

Yelp
First time coming to this location and it did not disappoint. I came in on a Sunday at about 11 o'clock and I was expecting them to be packed. When I came in, there was plenty of parking and pretty much no line to order. There is a lot of availability for sitting inside or outside. This restaurant is beautiful. It's like eating inside of a garden. The order counter was a little uncomfortable as is very close to the entrance so not a lot of space to make a line or move around while at the counter so that was the only thing that I did not like about this. Now, when we left, it was absolutely packed and very long line to order. For breakfast, we had the breakfast croissant and the breakfast platter with the tater tot waffle . Both dishes were very good. I really enjoyed the breakfast plate with the tater tot waffle which was very crispy and lots of bacon, avocado, and eggs on top. For the breakfast croissant I really liked it, but I would like maybe bacon or sub the turkey for bacon to add more flavor to it. For drinking, I had a Nutella cappuccino, which was very good and needed a little bit of sugar which I added after. We also tried the berry lemonade which was very yummy as well. overall, I really enjoyed this location. They do not have a lot of breakfast items so it's more of a brunch location so I look forward to come in a little bit later and try some of the other items in the menu.

Yelp
bless my heart, I just had the most delightful time at The Alchemist Cafe, and I simply had to share with you, dear! Not only was the food absolutely scrumptious. each bite was like a little taste of heaven. but what truly warmed my heart was that they welcome dogs! You know, I can't stand to leave my sweet little Daisy at home, and she was treated like royalty there! The staff were so kind to her, offering her a little water bowl and even giving her some gentle pets.

Amanda A.

Yelp
Always a great spot for a wonderful brunch enjoyed with a refreshing drink in a very aesthetic atmosphere. I love to dedicate some extra time when I go here to just sit in the outdoor seating area and simply enjoy the ambiance around me. You order inside at the counter which adds to the relaxed vibe of the place. If you are looking for a beautiful brunch spot in the area that I highly recommend.

Jonathan T.

Yelp
The food was very pleasant for brunch. Went down very nice and didn't make you feel bloated. The ambiance is incredible it's as if you're immersed in a nature get away. The service is great!

Doug R.

Yelp
07/21/2024 Sunday 2pm . The reason for the 3 stars is the prices, but besides that the service and food were very good. I've been here before but I do not remember some of the prices being this outrageous. We will come back, but definitely won't make it our first choice. We had: 1. Chef's Breakfast - $19.95 good but not worth the price. 2. Nutella slicer - $13.95 very good, but it's just 1 slice of bread with Nutella, strawberries, and banana. Not worth the price. VERY VERY VERY EXPENSIVE!! . a. Target 1Lb package of Strawberries $2.59 b. SAMS Club 3lb of Bananas $1.47 c. Target Tuscan bread $4.89 d. Target Nutella $2.69 = 12 Slices $11.64 3. Alchemist Iced Coffee - $7.95 very good 4. Hot chocolate - $6.95 basic flavor, nothing great and small glass, VERY VERY VERY EXPENSIVE.

Yelp
Returened again and teied a new dish and found a great location that would draw in an artist & craft vige couples with a weekly band and a constatn location to buy fresh locally grown vegatables. Walk to the back and see after you finish eathing.

Abbi G.

Yelp
The menu here is so creative and the food is amazing. It is on the more expensive side, but so is everything else in the area. The shop itself is pretty small and gets super busy on the weekends but the service is still good!

Kathryn P.

Yelp
Wow! What feels like a hidden gem had some very delicious breakfast food. With constantly changing seasonal items the menu is definitely big enough for everyone. They have outdoor and indoor seating and the food came out very quick but tasting so hot and fresh. I really enjoyed my morning here!

Yelp
Nestled amidst lush greenery, The Alchemist offers a serene retreat for brunch aficionados seeking a delightful culinary experience. With its beautifully decorated interior and picturesque outdoor seating area adorned with trees and flowers, this spot exudes charm and tranquility from the moment you arrive. From classic brunch staples to innovative creations, each item is crafted with care and attention to detail. However, what truly steals the show is the tumeric coffee--a delightful fusion of bold flavors that tantalizes the senses with every sip. It's a must-try for anyone looking to elevate their brunch experience. The service is exemplary. Despite the bustling ambiance, the staff ensures that every guest is attended to promptly and courteously, enhancing the overall dining experience. While parking may be limited, it's not hard to find a spot nearby. As I left, I couldn't help but think about my next return. The combination of delicious food, charming ambiance, and efficient service has left a lasting impression, and I eagerly anticipate my next visit.

Yelp
Great food, drinks & service! Quaint hidden location! Great outdoor seating surrounded by eclectic decorations & plants!! Got the recommended Chef's breakfast, melted Brie slicer, the alchemist's cold brew & a Christmas Bellini!

Yelp
excellent food! a hidden jem. the staff is friendly and know there menus perfectly. if you have not tried the place. your gonna get sprung. the vibe was perfect and chill, great food good vibes and dog friendly

Yelp
Cleanliness needs to improve. Caprese pizza terrible, skip the pizza here. Captain breakfast was OK. Chicken and waffle looked bad and was by far the worst I ever had. Iced coffee good but not $8 good. Service was good.

S B.

Yelp
Customer service - outstanding Location - dreamy Food - fantastic Coffee -top notch Came here two days in a row. Highly recommend.

Jeremy W.

Yelp
In my opinion the Alchemist is the best breakfast place in Fort Lauderdale. They have great coffee, great breakfast dishes with the freshest ingredients. Don't forget to order the Açaí bowl for light treat after!

Sam E.

Yelp
I am incredibly picky regarding restaurants, especially here in Fort Lauderdale. But I must admit that this is a rare occasion. I would give it five stars, but this place is worth it. It has a rustic, unique feeling about the decor inside and out. The food is original, and the service is impeccable. The ambiance makes you want to stay and relax and feel like you are not in Fort Lauderdale/Wilton Manors for a short time. It is incredible how they can make food taste so good. I recommend this place

Renee K.

Yelp
One of my go to breakfast sours in Fort Lauderdale. I'm going to be so sad when they have to relocate because I like the chill outdoor/backyard setting.

Avani P.

Yelp
Randomly found this spot / closest place open early on Sunday! It was perfect! Cute outdoor seating surrounded by plants, very quiet and tranquil, great for a nice Sunday brunch. You order and pay at the counter and then sit anywhere, food is brought to you. Service was fast, we got there right at open at 8am, food was fast to come out and delicious, loved that the iced latte came with coffee ice cubes! Would definitely recommend!

Bob C.

Yelp
Great boutique coffee shop in a funky off the beaten path setting in Wilton Manors The food is all custom creations with thought given to a nutritious serving with a creative flair Service is always excellent, super friendly and accommodating Lots a custom coffee selections....even Bulletproof Coffee and Iced Coffees

Harold R.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful layout and we had great service the entire time. The sandwich was good minus the avocados were so chunky in my sandwich when I took bites... they just kept falling out the sandwich. Ice coffee was great with the ice coffee cubes.

Kaleigh W.

Yelp
Cute hidden cafe on the outskirts of Fort Lauderdale. We got an alchemist iced coffee to go--cold brew with sweetened condensed milk and brown sugar. While it was a good coffee, I was a bit floored when it rang up at $8 (before tip!) Old photos of the menu show it cost $4.50 in 2019. Now I get why there's no prices listed anywhere. There weren't many customers when we visited but it took over 10 minutes to get one coffee to go. Eventually a manager noticed us waiting around near the counter and went back and picked it up off a shelf. So I guess someone made it, put it down without saying anything, and continued making other items. The atmosphere was boho cozy, would be a nice place to sit indoors or outdoors. The food looked delicious--given how expensive one coffee was, I'd probably only eat here if someone else suggested it for a special occasion. You have to get a bit crafty with parking (it's free) but beware of flooding roads and sidewalks on rainy days.

Kittykittybowwow R.

Yelp
Love love the ice coffee and always had a wonderful meal.. Great service with the sweetest folks waiting on you.. Do go by and have a nice snack and enjoy the out door seating..

Bradford B.

Yelp
A big pricey but a fun place with excellent food. Avocado toast was among the best ever. Hope to return soon.

Laura G.

Yelp
I got the Alchemist cold brew, I love how they use coffee ice cubes so that it doesn't get watered down as they melt. Perfect amount of sweetness. The chefs breakfast was delicious! It's a lot of food too. The waffle with fruit was amazing as well. A little pricey but for as fresh as everything is, it's justified. I love the mint infused water they have available as well, very nice touch.

Sarah H.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this little garden cafe for our Easter breakfast! We stopped by on our last morning in Fort Lauderdale and had a great experience. First, everyone working was SO friendly and I love that they greet everyone with a "Welcome home!" That really set the bar for our experience. We decided to try a CBD-infused coffee and their house "Alchemist" iced coffee was delicious and not too overly sweet. (I also love that they use coffee in their ice cubes, so your coffee doesn't get watered down.) For food, we split the chefs breakfast and a chocolate cake doughnut, and by golly if it didn't hit the spot!!! Absolutely loved both items and they were a perfect size that left us full but not overly stuffed. The chefs breakfast is an incredible breakfast concoction featuring a hash brown waffle, fried eggs, bacon, topped with avocado, cilantro, and pico de gallo. I'm also not a huge fan of cake doughnuts but theirs was incredible. Still thinking about that chocolate icing!!! The Alchemist is also located next to two other spots with a lot of gorgeous outdoor seating and even a cornhole area--great for families! Easy free parking too. Absolutely recommend this cute little spot for your next breakfast in Fort Lauderdale.

Chantel S.

Yelp
Came yesterday for the first time, LOVED it and we're back again today to do more computer work. Solid WiFi and the best coffee! The best part of this place is the nature like atmosphere, helllooo Mr. Lizard. Outdoor seating is beautiful and they have fans everywhere to keep you cool. Very friendly staff!

Elizabeth P.

Yelp
Sitting outside in the garden at the Alchemist on a Sunday is one of my favorite things ever. Their brunch their service the ambience everything is amazing. Definitely recommend it!

Alex M.

Yelp
Love everything about it, maybe just a bad batch of coffee. Everyone raves about this place. Im in love with the area and the food it good, hoping for a better cup of brew my next visit

Christania P.

Yelp
Terrible customer service this time. There was a long line so I used the sign they had displayed by the register to place my order online. I sat by the water cooler to wait for my order. The rush died down. Servers and the person who looked like the manager walked by me countless of times and no greetings. No check ins. No "are you waiting on an order? "Picking up?" "Can I help you with something" After 20 mins, I saw the COOK speaking to one of the servers and maneuvering towards me. I'm thinking he probably asked the server to see what I was waiting on. They then realized that I was waiting on an order and ask if I ordered online. Guess what? "Oh the online orders take 30 mins". So why is that sign displayed by the register? I would think it's to help your cashier during your busier times? No customer wants to wait 30 mins on their food. And how does that excuse the lack of customer service? Ugh. Now I'm just venting. I asked for a refund. Got my money, and left. There was no attempt on their part to make this right. In my opinion, having that online order sign right next to the register defeats the purpose. It didn't help today in getting the food out quickly and/or keeping a customer happy. It's already overpriced. I just wanted to treat myself on this beautiful Saturday lol. Fail. I won't be back.

Kathy K.

Yelp
Enjoyed a beverage in the afternoon at this very eclectic spot in the Wilton Manors area of Ft. Lauderdale. The artsy atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating is open from 8am to 4pm for breakfast and lunch. The passion fruit tea was very good but at $7.76 plus tip, it is quite pricey.

Steve S.

Yelp
A charming cafe with a vast menu offering everything from standard brunch fair (egg sandwiches, açaí bowls, Belgian waffles, avocado toast) to pizzas and homemade breads. Love the dog friendly outdoor patio and attentive staff.

Christina M.

Yelp
Favorite coffee place in fort lauderdale! Coffee is great and food options are fresh and stand out from other business in terms of quality

Yelp
An incredible hidden gem. Delicious food, great service, wonderful ambience. The ice cubes in my iced coffee were made of coffee! Three parts Bohemian vibe, one part Secret Garden. Next time I'll bring a novel and soak it in a little bit more.

Nathalie B.

Yelp
If You're Looking For A Chill Vibe Then This Is The Place For You. No Need To Dress Up, Just Come As You Are & Enjoy Yourself. The Food Is Decent & You'll Get To Enjoy Eating Outside Amongst The Plants & Nature

Taylor S.

Yelp
Although it can be a bit pricey, the food is well worth it! I've been going here since prior to 2016 and it's 2024 and i still love it, their menu and restaurant have just expanded over the years. The ambiance is cute and outdoorsy and i've even had a cat come greet me during brunch outside. Their iced coffee is uniquely made and one of the best I ever had, I would highly recommend it.

Christina J.

Yelp
Delicious brunch! The food was very fresh and the coffee was on POINT! Everyone was very nice and the ambiance was wonderful!! I look forward to coming back!

Andres L.

Yelp
I've been to Wilton plenty of times and have never heard of this place until now (Thank you Yelp Maps!) There is street parking and an additional parking lot to the right of the restaurant. Upon entering this world I was amazed at all the beautiful tropical vibes it has. the guy began with "Welcome home" before placing my order. That's exactly how I felt at the moment! I ordered the chefs special, and the fruit waffles, and their famous iced coffee! Everything was so delicious. The flavors in the chefs special blend well together. I've never had a waffle made out of tater tot's and it was my favorite! after our meal we walked around and took pictures with the art, Doris the turtle, and checked out the vintage thrift pop up store. I look forward to coming back!

Bishop B.

Yelp
Great coffee, great food, decent service, tasty flavored water. Be ready to see little birds and lizards running about as well as some healthy iguanas climbing the trees. The ambiance is amazing - I love the decor!

Mecca B.

Yelp
What a cute. Neighborhood spot. So many seats inside and out. The decor reminds me of hanging out at a family's backyard. The drink and food options are yummy! Order the alchemist coffee drink, grab a seat, and enjoy the yumminess of the environment.

Torey P.

Yelp
I 1,000% recommend this place. The coffee here is amazing and they have coffee ice cubes that when they melt, make your coffee stronger. The guy at the front (I forgot his name) is super cool too.

Nick R.

Yelp
Not the best experience. Stopped here to get some work done. I have to admit the coffee was very good . What really turned me off was the slurs graffitied in the bathroom. It was very offensive. You could tell that these had been here for sometime. The staff could have absolutely painted over it

May E.

Yelp
I would have really loved to give this place more of a better review, but I have to be honest. It is a very nice setting, definitely great, especially for this weather with the outdoor seating. However, the food was very disappointing. I have gotten the waffle dish previously and it was much better. This time around, it was extremely dry and difficult to cut. The eggs were unflavored, and the only thing that was good about my food, was the guacamole. We did not even touch the coffee because it did not have any taste, and it wasn't what we wanted. A little disappointed in this place, and I hope others can find this review helpful .
