The Argyle is a sensational spot located downstairs of the Markette restaurant. @chrisrft12 is the bar director and you can taste and feel the effort, love and care put into all of the cocktails on the menu. I had the pleasure of being guided through the experience by the brilliant and charming brother @vtotheill
Here's what I had:
Emerald City - Whiskey infused with pandan and coconut π₯₯. Mix with black lime, matcha and egg white. This was delicate and mysterious. I know the pandan is probably going to stand out for most people but the black lime is think is the star of the show. ππΎππΎππΎππΎ
Pinky Swear - What a fruity candy flavor. Tequila, golden berry, pineapple, nectarine, lime. This is one of those drinks that is a great introduction to tequila. There's just enough agave flavor mixed within the fruit flavors. ππΎππΎππΎ
Sodo Mojo - This taste just like i want. Orangey and delicious. The brown sugar adds and extra element of roundness. I don't want to hear any more nonsense about how orange isn't supposed to go in cocktails. If done right it's amazing. This is amazing ππΎ ππΎππΎππΎ
Martini Tropical- A slighty spicy martini thats bone dry with a nice fruit notes in the back drop. This is a drink for James Bond while he's on vacation. ππΎππΎππΎ
Champs-ΓlysΓ©es - An absolute classic from the 1930sππΏ Don't question the classics
PB & J Sazerac - What an incredible mouth feel. I never really liked Sazerac but this is so much more. The peanut butter is there in almost like a distilled form. It's not absurdly sweet but just enough concord grape to create a beautiful balance. ππΎππΎππΎππΎ
Creamsicle Fizz - The happiest combination of sauternes, orange soda, and a creamsicle foam. This drink does a lot of things I love. It's clear, it's fizzy, it has a delicious foam, and importantly it puts orange in a cocktail and its amazing. ππΎππΎππΎππΎ
Vieux carre - classic cocktail ππΏDon't question the classics
Espresso Martini (tequila based)ππΏ Don't question the classics.
