On the Grid : BeltLine Eastside Trail

"Get out and experience Atlanta from a totally different angle. This swath of paradise is the best way to avoid all the traffic and enjoy a little time with mother nature, right in the heart of the city. A great place for a bike, run, or to just walk off a great meal. Take a stroll after dinner to see some of the best sunsets the city has to offer." - Polar Notion

"The best thing to hit this city since indoor plumbing! Think High Line, less the elevation. This brilliant use of space transforms an existing rail corridor to connect 45 intown neighborhoods with trails, green space, and public art. It’s also lined with plenty of great pit stops. Now get out there and walk, drink, jog, eat, ride, shop and be merry!" - Brand Bird

Everything You Need To Eat In Atlanta This Summer - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"An evening walk sounds great in theory, until you realize you'd rather sip a boozy slushie than break a sweat. Head to ASW Distillery on the Westside Trail at Lee + White, relax on the patio, and get into flavors like mango, piña colada, and cherry that all pack a punch." - nina reeder, juli horsford, jacinta howard, juli horsford, juli horsford, jacinta howard, juli horsford, jacinta howard, juli horsford, juli horsford, juli horsford, nina reeder, jacinta howard, juli horsford, jacinta howard, jacinta howard, jacinta howard, jacinta howard

The best thing to do when you’re in Atlanta. A designated pathway for people to walk, run, scooter and bike. The diversity of the people and their pets is incredible. As you walk you come upon different neighborhoods with each having its own vibe, and offerings of shopping and food. A truly unique experience. A must do if you’re in Atlanta, just make sure you bring comfortable walking shoes.

Favorite part of the Beltline. Cool street art & graffiti along the path especially near Krog St. You have delicious food stops & bars along the way. Scooters & bikes available if unable to walk the 8 mile stretch. Love how it connects the communities & Railroads. Capitalism at it's finest! Welcome to Atlanta.

A gorgeous, cool, natural oasis on the middle of the city. Walk around. Bike. Ride your electric scooter. Sit down. Lay down. Run. Play and more. In your coming from outside to visit the city of Atlanta. Make a stop here. You'd enjoy it.

In Atlanta there are various "Beltline Trails". This one focuses on the hits of midtown. From the start of Piedmont all the way to Krog, you can take the trail safety while exploring various restaurants. About 3 miles out, the land is paved and relatively new. The story goes that the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail was thought up from 1999 from a Georgia Tech student who then saw it to fruition 13 years later. When walking you hear people explaining the history of the park along the walk. You can rent out scooters if you wish. There is some construction along the way as they continue to build new businesses, condos and apartments, but its great for roller staters, bikers, and joggers. Its about 3.5 miles long of flat land but you can extend out if time permits. Feels safe at all times. Great things: -many restaurants -restroom breaks along the way -links to Piedmont park -the sides have various artwork from the locals in the area

Nice paved trail. Great for running, biking, walking, etc. As a non-ATL local, it was a great way to get exercise and tour the city without getting lost. The trail access was very close to my hotel and easy to find. Fun time! I explored about 5mi to the south of my hotel past Piedmont Park, Midtown and Ormewood Park. Worth my time for sure and a great 10mi run too!
