Seattle’s Hottest New Bars, Fall 2024

"Most bar grand openings don’t involve a massive crowd and a bagpipe band, but most bars aren’t Atlantic Crossing. After shuttering its old Roosevelt location earlier this year, the bar has re-emerged invigorated, and swiftly built a new following in its new Greenlake home. The food is as satisfying as pub food gets (try to Hot Link and Shrimp Po’Boy for a fiery twist), but atmosphere is the draw. This lively neighborhood tavern is the place for sports, community, mixed drinks, and a solid selection of local and European beers. Kronenbourg 1664, anyone?" - Brianna Gunter

Seattle’s New Restaurant Openings

"Soccer fans, rejoice—The Atlantic Crossing has reopened in Green Lake after moving from Roosevelt. You can catch a Premier League match on one of their many TVs with a pint, while snacking on Dungeness crab cakes or gravy-topped poutine. Plus, they do a daily late-night happy hour from 10pm-11:30 pm that involves mozzarella sticks. " - kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo

Best Sports Bars to Watch the Sounders in the MLS Cup Final This Sunday | Eater Seattle

"Since Roosevelt’s official Sounders bar gets crowded for regular season games, it’s pretty much a given that the British-flavored pub will be standing room only for the big game Sunday. All TVs will be tuned to the game with house sound, and chants will absolutely break out behind pint orders. There’s a big Liverpool-Manchester City game at 8:30 a.m.), so those who want a good view should might want to get there super early and order an Impossible burger breakfast sandwich." - Gabe Guarente

Where to Watch Super Bowl LII in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"While this English-style public house in Roosevelt normally focuses on the “football” that Americans call soccer, it makes an exception for the Super Bowl. A Guinness or 12-year-old Redbreast is a nice sipper at this neighborhood haunt." - Eater Staff

Google
Their wings are the best I’ve had in Seattle and I try a lot of places. Hot is HOT, but so good & wings are great! The soda is mid & the service is slow but highly recommend this place.

Sports bar we go for Trivia on Tuesdays. It is fun after a walk around the lake. Bar food is bar food, but the burgers are good. Servers are friendly and trivia is entertaining.

This place is amazing! If you love sports there is a TV at every angle and the crowd is lively! The booths are pretty rooming and the longer bench tables in the center can fit plenty of people. The service is outstanding, some of the best service I have had in Seattle. Christopher and Katelyn were very friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding and after talking to the table next to us they said “they never miss” on any of their food items. I will definitely be coming back!

We came to watch Arsenal a day early (we totally goofed that up). Decided to quench our hangriness so she had the moules frites and I had the fish and chips with the sausage roll. Everything was delicious and Rissa the bar tender was so friendly and helpful!

Worst dining experience I've ever had. WORM IN BURGER: I went to Atlantic Crossing with my friend on Saturday, 6/21/25. We both ordered the AC Burger. For $20, you’d expect at least a halfway decent presentation — but the burger looked like it had been smashed under a cinder block. As we started eating, my friend noticed a LONG THICK HAIR embedded in her burger. I looked and saw it too. When we glanced over at the kitchen, we realized that none of the cooks were wearing hairnets or any kind of hair covering. We called the waitress over and pointed it out. She claimed she couldn’t see it but offered to replace the burger. A fresh plate came out, but after just one bite, my friend gasped again. This time, she saw another hair — but it was moving. We covered it to block airflow, thinking maybe it was just moving from a draft — but it kept moving. After getting a closer look, we realized it was possibly a WORM in the burger meat. We called the waitress back over. She gave us the fakest smile and insisted she couldn’t see anything, all while trying to pull the plate out of my friend’s hands. We managed to snap a photo — it’s blurry, but you can still see it. Even though they comped our meals, we left immediately. I will never set foot in that place again. Who knows if they’re using old meat or not properly washing their produce? Absolutely revolting.

Google
Visited this place on Saturday March 22nd and have to say I was really disappointed with the lack of staff. The gal working did an amazing job, but the place was filling up as time went on and it was just her. It was clear she was overwhelmed and needed extra help. She was great tho!!!!! Good was good, and was there to watch the basketball games. Loved the different seating options and how many options were on the menu.

Google
I’m really surprised this place has so many five star reviews. Maybe we just went on a bad day but everything was a miss. The fish pate and it was watering and vinegary. We ended up just eating the crackers. Then I got the Irish chicken curry in a bag and it was a total miss. The chicken was not fried; it was rubbery. The fries were ok but the curry sauce tasted burnt. I ended up just dipping it in the ranch dressing that came with my sister’s meal. And the Ruben my sister ordered was meh. We had a lot of food left on the plate and the server didn’t even ask about it. The beer was good and so was the service, but I likely wouldn’t eat there again.

Yelp
A pub that has it all: delicious food, plenty of TVs to watch sporting events, and strong boozy drinks! The fish and chips were perfectly crispy and the Reuben sandwich was so melty and delicious as well.

Yelp
Came on a Monday night. No more than 6 people were in there. There was a dude there being creepy and belligerent. The last bartender was dope and handled it perfectly. She was super apologetic to the other patrons who were made uncomfortable from him and their convo. Wished I had her name. She deserves a raise. Only had drinks here. No food. I got a couple of tastes before deciding on a beer. As I sipped my beer I got to watch several sporting events to watch since there's a ton of TVs available. Seating is plentiful and looked like it was all wiped down and clean. Bathrooms were the same. Mid level lighting. Felt and smelt like a sports bar for sure. I could see myself coming here for a mariners game during the week, not so much during the weekends. It was a solid spot. A solid 3 stars. Nothing stood out tho. You basically get what you see. It's at the corner and parking is tough since it's located in a bustling neighborhood.

Yelp
Service was impeccable. We missed running into the owner as we had been accustomed to so many Mona's years ago. We wish he would come to Colorado and see us in Aspen!! The new digs are dreamy, the food is perfect..... we miss the strongbow for black velvets. We also know that G would ridicule us to high heaven for asking for one. The Alley girl

Yelp
Loved this spot. Quick service and good food. Husband and i both got the happy hour fish and chips - both the fish and fries were great quality, quantity and taste, and I consider myself pretty picky!

Yelp
I miss the old one on Roosevelt. It's a Saturday, and I ask for Rye Manhattan and select the Rye. In a minute or two, he comes back, and days he only has their bourbon. I choose another. A minute later, he comes back and says he's out of vermouth! "How is that possible?", I ask. " I ran out yesterday and forgot." Part of Friday night and all day Saturday. Lazy and just doesn't care.

Yelp
Cool bar, awesome service, and really nice staff. Also really new. I recommend the fries they are really good! Also, so many TVs! Nice Sonos systems!

Yelp
The first location was awful, I'm not sure how they managed this new location. It's very meh. Food is as crappy as it was before (frozen stuff that's reheated or fried). That staff is absolutely the worst (miserable, inattentive and just lazy). For a new location that just opened, it's very dirty, like how does that happen so quickly? Hmm. I'd love to see the day this place finally goes away for good. With this new location and the cost to keep it running; I'm sure it won't stay open long. Enjoy the overpriced beers!

Yelp
I'm quickly becoming a regular here. The service and staff are just amazing everytime!! Drinks are great, and you have to try the Reuben !

Yelp
After our soccer game, some members of my adult soccer team came here for food and drinks. This was my first time here and I figured it would be a good place to go being a soccer pub. One of our team members didn't have her ID but had pictures of both her ID and passport on our phone. But the bartender/server (guy with backwards blue and white cap) didn't accept it. Not only she couldn't be served but she wasn't allowed to be in the bar at all. Most bars I've been to seem to accept phone copies and show leniency in this regard. After we ordered our drinks he served all the other tables but he never came back to take our food order and we eventually had to flag him down. He didn't charge me for my beer which I did appreciate. Otherwise a nice sports bar with a good vibe, so I hope to come back eventually and try it again.

Yelp
This experience may be influenced by the loss of the Roosevelt homey, casual, darker space. I am sure the beer list will expand and the fries will be delivered hot sooner than later. The staff continues to be friendly, efficient and charming. The space and vibe is such a change. The chairs and tables seem ungainly and awkward for both the servers and guests. I think it will definitely attract more Greenlake family guests. We stopped at the iconic Little Red Hen on the way home for a little breath of nostalgia. I hope they do well, but it might not be my favorite go to...however, the staff will bring me back

Yelp
I was excited to try this new Greenlake restaurant as it was mentioned in the Times as a place to check out-My friend and I had a beer and dinner. It was not busy so we got great service from our very attentive waitress 4 stars rather than 5 as my meal (bacon chicken avocado salad)-was not good. The chicken was supposedly "grilled"-it was thick and rubbery-(my guess was it was taken out of the freezer and zapped in a microwave)-pretty gross. I did eat just some of it and told the waitress when she cleared the plates-and she took off the beer cost from the tab. I could have argued to take the meal off but appreciated the effort to fix it somewhat.

Yelp
Really excited about this new add in greenlake. Had a beer and an old fashioned and both were top notch. Jared took good care. Will be back! Great environment was busy on Thursday

Yelp
I had been a regular patron of the old Roosevelt location for more than 10 years, but I won't spend much time comparing the new Greenlake location, as they are really two different beasts. For me, there really is no comparison, as the new location is vastly superior. Now that it has been open for about 3 months, a few kinks have been ironed out and the new AC is settling in to a new identity in a new 'hood. The kitchen is really the biggest change. This is now a restaurant with a full bar, not a dive bar where the food was more of an afterthought. New items keep being added to the menu, including a limited kid's menu now that it is all ages (until 8 PM). They have dropped a few menu items as the chef figures out what works, but have added others, including a new happy hour menu weekdays afternoons and weekend late nights. The staff, both new and old, are friendly and attentive. The number of beers on tab recently doubled, and they have added a specialty cocktail list as well. I usually go there in the afternoon and on nice days, the large windows along the street side are open, giving both fresh air and abundant light. The tables by the windows feel like a sidewalk cafe, but without the wind and excess traffic noise of actually dining on the sidewalk. I'm not a fan of huge crowds, so I tend to skip going during soccer games, which the AC is especially known for. But if you want to catch Arsenal or Sounders games, etc. the joint will be hopping, so get there early!

Yelp
Went mid-day over the weekend. Service was okay. Food not so much. Wings were tiny and way overcooked. It was the 2nd weekend being open so it might be due to lack of quality food. Will be coming back again to give them another chance, as I hope it could end up being my neighborhood watering hole!

Doug W.

Yelp
The new location is fantastic and the food is amazing. This isn't a soccer bar, it's a top shelf place with a soccer theme.

Robert S.

Yelp
Came here last night (a Saturday) to watch the Sounders. Place was very busy and seating was at a premium. Great energy and the ambiance is really nice. It's a true departure from the old Atlantic Crossing with an attempt to elevate the product but the execution is not there yet. I will start with the good. First, truly a really fun place to watch the match as the energy is there and really fun. Second, the staff were attentive and very friendly. They made it feel not busy, I never had to wait on a drink and ordering food was easy. Also the fries were quite good. Now for the not so good. The prices for what they offer is insane. A quick look at the menu should tell you what you're in for. At these prices I would anticipate elevated bar food. I ordered the Bavarian pretzel and it was horrible. The best comparison I can give is it was like eating a giant rold gold. I believe the price was 14 dollars and what was delivered was a hard, barely salted, frozen turbo chef made rip off. Next was the chicken sandwich. It was generally devoid of flavor and something was just not right about it. The next bit is on me for finishing it but it's on them for serving it. Now for the worst, I was up throughout the night with stomach pains and I believe it was due to that chicken sandwich. This was not normal and that sandwich was the only thing I ate that did not come from my kitchen. I really want to like this place but for what they charge the quality should be there. It's a fun place to watch a game and maybe grab a drink. The food is like a 3.4/10, seriously skip it or at least don't get the pretzel or the chicken.

Yelp
My lunch at the Atlantic Crossing was amazing! I was served quickly and the server was very welcoming. I had Kilkenny beer (on tap) for the first time and it was fantastic! My cheeseburger was likely the best burger I've ever had, so I'll be sure to visit again. Across the board, the Atlantic Crossing is now my favorite go-to pub! Will definitely be back!

Laura B.

Yelp
great place to watch a game. my husband and I shared a sausage roll and a steak sandwich and the food was great. Solid beer selection and excellent service. 4 stars only for the generic sports bar vibe, but they can't really control that; it's a new place. we'll be back! (No idea why this review is saying I'm from SF; I'm local Seattle!)

Nathan L.

Yelp
Great addition to the area! Lots of TVs for sports viewing, delicious food and ice cold pitchers of beer. Staff is wonderful! Good vibes all around!

Joseph S.

Yelp
Great food, great atmosphere, great drinks, great service. Awesome addition to the Green Lake neighborhood.
