The Austin Winery - Review - South Austin - Austin - The Infatuation

"Located at The Yard in South Austin, The Austin Winery specializes in natural and low-intervention wine, so you’ll typically find some interesting stuff on any given day. It’s all set in a surprisingly cozy two-story industrial warehouse, filled with lots of tables and barrels, plus a bunch of plants to liven up the space. Pop in for a glass of something orange and funky, or grab a bottle—they don’t charge a corkage fee, making it one of the more affordable options for natural wine in town. If you get hungry, there are a handful of good food trucks parked right outside, including Nixtamal, Reem's Falafel, and Knuckle Sandwich. photo credit: Nicolai McCrary" - Nicolai McCrary

Best New Austin Restaurant Recommendations From Eater Editors | Eater Austin

"I was craving New York-style halal carts and this food truck at Austin Winery delivered: the beef and lamb shawarma plate featured thin, supple, flavorful cuts, pickled cucumbers and onions cut into sticks for easy layering in pita, filling rice, and complimentary hummus that was practically drinkable — I need to go back for the falafel ASAP." - Nadia Chaudhury

Texas-Indian Supper Club Puli-Ra Finds Permanent Home in South Austin - Eater Austin

"Puli-Ra has found a permanent home as part of East Congress spot The Austin Winery. The collaborative themed dinners, known as Supper Club SZN, take place every three to four weeks at the winery, focusing on South Indian fare mixed with various international cuisines, all paired with natural wines. The collaboration between Shridhar and Austin Winery CEO Ross McLauchlan made sense because they bonded over taking creative risks." - Nadia Chaudhury

The Austin winery provides an excellent education about 100% Texas wine, done sustainably with low intervention methods, served in an incredibly soothing and relaxed atmosphere. The aesthetic of the tasting room design is inviting/comfortable, and not too formal/sterile/industrial/cold (like others near by.) This tasting room creates the perfect gathering spot for a social group gathering, or an intimate date night getaway, or for a large private event. Great food truck options are nearby, and the winery has an incredibly awesome staff. Cooper is such a great wealth of knowledge about the TX wine scene and Ryan is so caring and attentive to his guests. Check out their classes and events, and consider joining the wine club and becoming a part of the family like I did!

The location itself is cute and cozy. The guy manning the bar was phenomenal. Amazing and friendly server who knew a lot about wine. The wine itself (for me) was a let down, especially considering the price. They only serve natural wine. If you’re not used to it, the flavor is completely different than regular wine. Everything tasted a bit vinegary to me. It wasn’t undrinkable, but I would not come back here for the wine alone.

The Austin Winery offers a unique and unconventional setting, housed in what appears to be a repurposed warehouse or industrial space - almost like a hangar. The high ceilings and multiple seating areas create an open and inviting atmosphere, making it an interesting place to explore. One of the standout features is that the wine barrels and fermentation tanks are located right inside the space. Judging by the tubing and sensors attached to them, these aren’t just for show - they’re actively part of the winemaking process, adding authenticity to the experience. There are numerous barrels throughout, as well as different seating areas, including a mezzanine level above the main space. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, happy to guide you through their selection of locally made Texas wines. They offer a mix of reds, whites, and rosés, along with a tasting option. I personally tried the Spaghetti Blend - a dry, acidic red that felt perfect for a hot day. The white wine was also impressive, and generally, Texas whites tend to stand out more than the reds. Outside, there’s a terrace with two food trucks, making it easy to pair your wine tasting with a casual lunch. The combination of great wine, an industrial-chic atmosphere, and a laid-back setting makes The Austin Winery a great spot for both wine lovers and those just looking for a relaxed experience. Highly recommended!

Google
Rating: 3.1/5 We tried The Austin Winery on two different occasions, and both times their wine was just okay or not good. The first time was a wine flight we had catered at our apartment, while the second time, we visited in person with a group of friends. Honestly, the wines we buy from Costco taste better. We did the $20 wine tasting flight where you get to choose 3 from the menu. The pros are that it's cheap and they give generous pours, but the con is that the wines don't taste good. Thank goodness I shared with my husband because I wouldn’t have been able to finish it myself. 1. Picpoul Blanc: One Elm Vineyards – High Plains white wine with notes of lemongrass, pink lemonade, and raspberry. It was okay. 2. Aqua Pazza – High Plains/High Country orange wine with notes of apricot, candied lemon, and orange zest. It tasted like a bitter citrus wine and was our least favorite of the wines we tried. 3. GSM: Salt Lick Vineyards – Hill Country chilled red wine with notes of mint berry crunch and herbal. I think we prefer non-chilled red wine, since the tannins were super muted, but the cold temperature does make it more enjoyable on a hot day. Lavender Haze ($15): This is a wine cocktail made with Ocho, lemon, lavender simple syrup, topped with Rambler, and garnished with a lemon wheel. Ocho is a Salt Lick Vineyards – Hill Country white wine with soft lychee, beeswax, and freshly minted bills. It’s a light and bright wine cocktail that’s great for an afternoon drink. Bread With Oil & Balsamic Reduction ($6): You definitely need to dip the bread in the balsamic reduction; otherwise, the bread is just so bland by itself. Recommend getting the shareables instead, since the bread doesn’t really add anything to the wine tasting. Our friends got the charcuterie, and the meat, cheese, and fig really helped us get through the wine flight.

Google
I cannot rate this place high enough!! It was perfect for an event we hosted last night for roughly 100 people. Such a great location with parking, appetizers, lots of drink selections, a food truck out front, and such cute aesthetic. Will definitely be back!

Google
Hello. More like a 3.5 wine, (we did 2 Estate wine tastings and one regular red) we found a few of them quite sour.. just not my favorite reds.. but we did enjoy a small charcuterie.. it was different. Generally a strong cheese like a blue won't be found on one because it's pungent. I ate a little of it and my husband ate none. The cheddar and Parmesan were good: the bread was very delicious on it. And the meat was as well.. I'd say the charcuterie board kicked the experience to a 4... nice ambiance.. a tad too much AC though.

We had a great time here. We did a sampling of the wines. The three that were suggested were all very good. The owners Cooper and Matt were so friendly and gave us great options for food in Austin during our visit. We wish they could ship to Wisconsin but understand why they don't. We definitely would have shipped some home. It was great to meet them and see this very unique winery. I would recommend you check it out.

Google
My favorite business in Austin and go-to place to take out of town visitors. Their wines are dry and unique. The attention to detail in everything they do makes the experience special. They go above and beyond with things like the decor, custom art from a local artist for every wine label, frequent fun events, pop up markets, and more. You can tell that all the staff love the business and care about your experience. They drop new wines all the time and they’re somehow always better than the last. I recommend the wine club membership. It comes with great deals.

Yelp
Came in for a fundraiser. It's always a lovely experience visiting the Austin winery. The staff is very kind, professional and knowledgeable about all the wine selections. I love supporting local businesses and this is just that. They have a nice laid back atmosphere with a selection of yummy small bites on the menu. There's also a food truck available if you want a bigger meal. The hardest part about visiting is making the selection of wine bc there are so many great options. A local business who fundraising with local charities in the area is always going to be top tier! Thanks for helping the community and serving up yummy wine.

Yelp
Texas wineries are booming in Austin/Dripping Springs. The Austin Winery is located in St. Elmos and reisdes on the opposite end of St elmos Brewry, but I would recommend skipping this one... the drinks here are too acidi lcacking in flavor and very watery. and too many fruit flies are here. I've had a flight with the cheese board and just bleh. Truly did not enhoy my time here. Would suggest skipping this one. cute vibe, perfect for a relaxed date night or a girls night to yap. If you're looking for deeper, richer flavored wine, I would go somewhere else. Love they are dogfriendly and the ample spacing The atmosphere is lively with board games and great decor inside, and a food truck and lots of picnic tables outside for large groups. Texas wineries are thriiiiving in the Austin/Dripping Springs area. The Austin Winery, located in St. Elmo's, is situated at the opposite end of St. Elmo's Brewery. If you're familiar with this commercial area, you're no stranger to the amount of alcoholic options on this strip. I love it-- it's like halloween for adults. The Austin Winery's ambiance is cute and perfect for a relaxed date night or a casual girls' yap session. The venue is dog-friendly with ample space, which is a plus. However, that's about all The Austin Winery has to offer... I ordered a flight, which comes with 3 of their wines (your pick) for $20 along with a small charcuterie board ($15). The wines I ordered all had a common theme of being overly acidic and lacking in depth/complexity. There were fruit flies everywhere and constantly falling in my glass, which made me think this may also be the reason why the wines tasted the way they did... fruit flies can spoil the wine and make the it dull... the charcuterie board was overpriced and underwhelming. if you're seeking deeper, richer-flavored wines, you might want to explore other options or any of the other alcoholic stops on the strip.

Yelp
Had a nice experience here when meeting for an informal networking event. They are true wine enthusiasts and have lots of knowledge to share with anyone who is interested. Turner talked us through a brief tasting and was extremely welcoming! I loved learning that all of their wines are Natural Wines. I really enjoyed the Ocho, which is one of the 3 white wines I tried. All we're very good; the Ocho was just right for the moment. I'm usually not too impressed with Texas wines but all that I tasted were good! The indoor area was nice and cool during the hot evening and had a good amount of seating. There were picnic tables and a food truck outside. I didn't try the food but the sandwich looked great and was a huge serving! Overall I really like this place and look forward to coming back!

Yelp
This is in an industrial area and this winery is so beautifully put together! Their barrels & tanks are inside and a small bar with nice glasses and pouring area. I meet Cooper, he told me a bit about their wines and they had a launch this afternoon for their new Merlot. I tried a glass was very good, not too sweet and all natural fermentation. Next to their space is Reem's which we stopped by to get a pita. Enjoyed meeting one of the guys and loved learning he knows some Maryland wineries like Rocklands Farm in Poolesville Md. So worth stopping by and enjoying a glass!

Ireland H.

Yelp
Walked in here for a quick glass and met Turner and Ryan at the bar! Felt so welcome here and the wine is AMAZING! Some of the most knowledgeable people I've met about wines here! Will be back!

Yelp
Loved the modern and bright vibe this winery had! We stumbled upon it while exploring the area so we decided to go inside. It was fun to talk to the wine-makers and get an idea for which to try. There isn't a super wide selection, but they will help you find something. Only thing I was a little disappointed about was that all the white wines were orange wines. I shared a Rose called Once Upon a Time in Texas with the girls and it was delicious and full, without being super sweet. We also ordered the large Cheese & Charcuterie board which was very delicious and larger than it looks. My only suggestion would be to label the cheeses/what's on the board - because it's not on the menu either. We loved all the fixings on the board, and I'm still thinking about the soft cheese!

Yelp
This quiet little spot is perfect for you if you're looking for a wine flight and a good charcuterie board. We were given so much information about the wines we tried and then were given space to really enjoy them. We're coming back here next time we visit Austin!

Yelp
Parking - free parking lot Service - friendly and knowledgeable Options - many wine choices that are good quality and some fun blends. Food - usually a food truck around the corner. Seating - mix of high tops, some lounge couches, and low tables for different sized parties. Ambiance - upscale casual; great music choices a blend of new and old school they isn't too loud (conversations are easy to hold).

Yelp
It was my first time there and the staff were super friendly, they gave me recommendations and made me feel so welcomed. I ordered a wine flight and got to try out 3 of their wines, I also got a small charcuterie board which was more than enough to share with my friend. All 3 wines were delicious and the items on the board as well. Definitely a great experience!
google avatar

Bhagyashree B.

Yelp
Loved the chill vibe and authentic feel of this winery. You can try three different wines in each flight. Most of their wines are on the bitter side, and I particularly liked the reds. The bartender was quite knowledgeable so the tastings turned out to be fun. Only drawback is that they close at 9 which is kinda early for a Friday night.
google avatar

Alan H.

Yelp
A winery that is in an industrial area that had some natural Texas wine and some decent tasting wine! There wasn't any particular wine that stood out during our second visit. Although all the wines were palatable. We were kind of bummed because the first time we visited there was a red wine that we really enjoyed. It turns out their batches are very limited. We will keep coming hoping that we find another wine we really enjoy here but will make sure we buy a case.
google avatar

Stephanie J.

Yelp
I like the friendly service, unfortunately the wines that I tried were just okay. I had a wine flight, you get 3 half-glass pours for $20. I selected the Pet-Nat, Roussanne and Violet Crown. There were only six wines to chose from when I visited but it looks like they make more than that. This winery is in a good location to hit up a few different spots for drinks.
google avatar

Kita H.

Yelp
Had a wonderful time and the staff were amazing. This is a great place for date night to or social gathering. The variety of wine of wine to choose from. Will definitely visit again.

Yelp
My fiancé and I were exploring this area and stopped by this place because we were looking for a place to talk and chill. This place was spacious with tables and couches surrounded by wine barrels. I thought the service was friendly and knowledgable. I'm not a wine drinker and they had great recommendations for my lack of a wine palate. They have some fruit forward wines which were delicious! I recommend the Red Nat. Just like the write in the little card, it's lightly sweet and delicious! The wine flight was $20 and I shared it with my fiancé and definitely felt like it was worth it. I love the vibes of this place and recommend this for a group hangout or a date night. Grab a glass or a flight, bring a game or a book, and have a good time!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite spots down south and always take friends from out of town to visit when we aren't feeling the drive the Hill Country. Honestly this is a great spot as always. Went this past weekend for their collab with SXSE's chef where he was pairing seafood dishes with their petnat. Those dishes and wine paired so well together. I really enjoyed the red petnat and got the residual sweetness from the apples. Everyone was friendly and it was busy and they even had a DJ playing some good music. Perks: it's dog friendly! So me and my dogs will be visiting again soon

Nora N.

Yelp
We were driving around looking for a winery and then... we ran into this location! Great service and tasty wines.

Yelp
My friends generously gave me a gift card here so I decided to try it out, and I'm so glad I did!! Vibes here are immaculate. The staff were all so friendly, and I loved talking to the other customers at the bar area. We got a white and red wine (Work Horse), and I especially loved the red -- it was so deep in flavor without causing a burning sensation in your throat afterwards. Charcuterie board was also pretty neat! If I'm ever in the area again, I'd love to come back and try the wine tasting for $20/person!
google avatar

Marina G.

Yelp
Quick stop here after stopping at St. Elmo's Brewery since they're so close. Really enjoyed sitting outside at the picnic tables. Staff were friendly and answered a few questions we have. We went on a Wednesday evening and it wasn't very busy. Would be a cute spot for a little party or get together.
google avatar

Yelp
Always a good time coming to Austin Winery. They have a good selection of wines and you can get a flight for 20$. The wines were not sweet in the selection but fruit forward and tasted great. The vibe of the winery is chill and great place to hangout and chat. Service was great, the staff has fantastic recommendations if you are new to wine

Katie B.

Yelp
I love the Austin winery! Amazing wines and amazing service. I love the vibe and highly recommend

Yelp
We happened into this neck of the woods because the red M3P that we've been waiting on from Tesla for a millennium is finally being delivered this week, so we're on the hunt for an excellent Tesla service center (the one next to us up north leaves a bit to be desired), which we have now most definitely found here on St. Elmo (shout out to Sadie and Kyle)! Luckily, it also happens to be right next to this absolute gem of a winery! #winning Travis, our wine journey guide, was the sweetest, most knowledgeable, and most approachable human being on earth, and we thoroughly enjoyed our Saturday afternoon stop! The bright and airy space, the pitch perfect music, the yummy wine (we had both the Work Horse Red Blend and the Violet Crown Tempranillo. Deliciously dry reds!), and Travis all collaborated to make this a most excellent pit stop! Thanks, Austin Winery! Thanks, Travis!

Yelp
Definitely one of the best kept secrets in Austin! The Austin Winery and I have been vibing for the last 6 months or so since my first visit. It's a perfect spot located in The Yard off St. Elmo in South Austin. This is an urban winery so don't expect to see a vineyard, but you will find a chill, welcoming and relaxing environment with a friendly staff. They offer all colors of wine so there is surely something for every wine drinker. They also have a tasting for $20. If you leave with 3 bottles your tasting is waived. My favorite is the Red Nat - I can drink this over and over again. I actually decided to join their Wine Club too which is quarterly. They offer a variety of options on the types of wine you want in your subscription at a great price. Plus every time I come in as a member my first glass is free and I get 15% off. Like I already said... I love this place! If you are looking for me you'll definitely catch me here at minimum once a quarter, but it's already panning out to be more often. By the way The Austin Winery just celebrated their 9th birthday last weekend! Congrats to them and I wish them many more!
google avatar

Steve H.

Yelp
My wife and I stumbled in here on a day date and had a awesome experience. We did a tasting and all the wines were excellent. My wife is a big fan of the Red Nat. We went in to become wine club members and have been back several and just really love the atmosphere!
google avatar

Yelp
I will simply start off by stating I am very new to the wine game. So this was a first experience for me and my husband! I went for my birthday, now the place is adorable and very cute, type of cozy vibe. You can dress up or dress casual either way seemed to be very acceptable! We did a wine tasting, and personally wasn't a huge fan of the wines but they weren't bad, truthfully probably just need a few more years, none the less the food was also not really up to my expectation, it was pretty basic cheese boards, olives, all of it was super minimal, which clearly didn't go there for the food. Now the customer service was excellent so I will add that, the staff was sweet, helpful, and really up to standard which I appreciated that very much! Overall the experience was vey new and it was still pretty fun. We stayed for about an hour with some friends and had a great time!
google avatar

Yelp
Great place, very knowledgeable about local grapes and wines. Well set to hang out or just taste wines.
google avatar

Adrienne A.

Yelp
Urban winery located 15 minutes south of downtown Austin. Huge space surrounded by tanks, barrels and amphorea. The tasting room staff is fun energetic and provides great service answering any questions. 100% Texas Grown fruit made in a low intervention style. They have an array of wines from single varietals, blends, sparkling, orange, light to full reds. If you want to try Texas wine I highly suggest The Austin Winery.
google avatar

Babatunde A.

Yelp
Love this place for many reasons but mainly because of the service and the personality of each staff member they aren't snobby about wine and are really chill about including others especially with questions and the wine is quite delicious it's unique and impressive the flavors they can emulate through their work. I would recommend getting the sampler and chillin out and asking questions, but staying open minded!
google avatar

Stefany W.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday afternoon and it was just a nice place to relax, drink some wine and read a book which is exactly what I did. I came with a friend and we enjoyed trying all the various wine they had to offer. They also apparently had a monthly oyster pop up which was fun. I ended up ordering some and they were delicious! Highly recommend this place.
google avatar

Aditi P.

Yelp
10/10 holistically on this place. Everything from wine, environment and experience were on point. We had a group of girls in for a bachelorette and the service did not disappoint. The owners have an amazing story telling ability when it comes to their wine. The ambiance of interiors down to the charcuterie presentation is all thoughtful.
google avatar

Diana G.

Yelp
Ok so I accompanied my boyfriend to the brewery and distillery nearby, so of course we had to stop for the obligatory glass of wine for me. I was not going to get any snacks, but their cheese and charcuterie board was calling my name. We both got the tasting. Each of us got different wines. Our favs were the Tempranillo, Grenache and spaghetti western. You can get all your wines at once or one at a time. I suggest getting them all at once because staff can get busy. The cheese and charcuterie board paired well with our wines and it was definitely the perfect snack. Loved the cheese selection. The bread sprinkled with olive oil made my day cause who doesn't love bread They have inside and outside seating available. Parking is onsite, but shared with other businesses.

Yelp
Went to Austin for a short solo trip and what a nice surprise. This place was so cool and chill. The service was great, the tables were well spread out, the flight and snacks did not disappoint. I had the: Friends with Benefits Opening Ceremony Gerwuz Vermentino All a selection of whites and sweets. I would highly recommend this place to get a taste of Austin and also enjoy a quiet spot.

Yelp
Me and my husband went to Austin for my birthday. We loved our experience and the vibe of the place was really chill and laid back. The employees were nice and welcoming. We will be back for sure.

Yelp
I've been to the Austin Winery many of times. Honestly, I've often gotten too drunk to remember how I've felt or how much I like the wine. So, I have never had an opinion one way or another. It was my birthday and my partner and I were trying to decide if we'd want to trek all the way to Fredericksburg. To save ourselves a 3 hour drive, we ended up heading to the Austin winery. I'm so glad we decided to head here instead! For four people, we ended up getting two bottles: the spaghetti western and the pet-nat. Both of which I really enjoyed, though, the spaghetti western is my fave of the day. I saw a lot of reviews complaining about the cost of the wine and I thought for $36 a bottle - the cost was extremely reasonable and fair considering the wine is produced in-house. Afterwards, we went hopping to other venues in the Yard - It's a cool place! I'll be back.
google avatar

Diana M.

Yelp
Great selection of wines and a wonderful place to get "away" for an afternoon. A friend and I visited Austin last weekend and found this winery located about 10-15 minutes from downtown. In a area that looks redeveloped from warehouse bays the selection and space is super cute! Would return next time I'm in town!
google avatar

Shania R.

Yelp
I love this place! It's so cute! You can sample about 3 wines for $20. Me and my date decided to try all 6! We purchased our favorite for about $35-$40 a bottle after. Such a cute and romantic date night that definitely set the vibes. Service here is exceptional and all the wine is naturally made on location. Must check out

Yelp
Thank you for a fun tasting! We had a great time! Thanks also for the recommendation to Terry Black's! Best brisket I've ever had!

Yelp
Star service and a non-judgmental space. I dig you, Austin Winery! We decided on Austin Winery after we had plans to go to Spokesman next door for some beers. Unfortunately, Spokesman had an event going on that looked a little noisy and full for our study date, hence the change in venues. The winery was very spacious and lofty--I love that in an industrial winery! We asked if we could move a table (to plug in to their only one outlet--score!) and do some computer work with their wifi. The gal at the tasting room was fantastically wonderful. She gave us a large smile and told us to do whatever we wanted. Wonderful service alone will get me to come back. That's for sure. We each got a flight of wine to try, and got down to it until they closed. They have a good selection of whites, rose's and reds, so fret not friends. All is provided. They also have some light bites like cheeses and charcuteries, so you can definitely go with that if you're hungry. The tastings were a little pricey compared to what you might get at a wine tasting out in the vineyards (I used to work in the industry), but you're paying for the convenience of being in South Austin and lots of space to hold conversations, play board games and just be with your groups. They have loads of seating and an upstairs area (that a Bachelorette party was using). Restrooms are clean and wifi is strong. We also walked home with some Brose (a hilarious take on rose especially because it was a women-lead winery effort). Clean, classy and airy space.

Yelp
I had the best time at the Austin Winery---such a great find! I took the gamble and waived the wine tasting option and just ordered a glass! The staff at the winery was able to helped me pick the best natural wine based off of the bare minimum profile I gave them and now I'm in love! This is the perfect place to connect with in an intimate setting!! Kat and Ashlyn we're my favorites!

Yelp
Great wines selection to try from, all gluten free. Friendly service and highly recommend the charcuterie and cheese - great presentation Clean and well kept Must try

Yelp
This was a very unique spot. They served their wine and a few food items in the warehouse where they make and store their wine. We got two flights and a glass each. Unique and fun atmosphere! It's by a lot of other neat, local spots just like this. I highly recommend!

Yelp
Wine varieties are a great value. Nice quality charcuterie boards. You get to see the various stages for wine production. A nice little gem in Austin

Yelp
I stopped here to enjoy some new wine and some pizza from Lil Nonna's. I made reservations on the way there. During the 'rona, it is recommended to ensure you can get a spot. My hubby and I did a wine flight a piece. We tried all the reds, the rose, and white wine (Vermentino). We ended up buying a bottle of Malbec to take home which we both had enjoyed. Note, the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. I really like the atmosphere of the winery as it is inside a warehouse where they make their own wine and buy their grapes. The winery has a few things to eat or you can buy pizza from Lil Nonna's. The pizza takes awhile but you can always purchase online and set a date. If you are done at the winery you can also bar hope in the area for beer, cocktails, and whiskey.

Yelp
My partner and I first found their wine at Travis Heights Wine & Spirits and fell in love w the malbec, so we decided to visit the winery. The first time we came here, they had a private event going on so that was sad. The second time, we got here a few hours early so they hadn't opened - that's our fault. Finally, our third attempt was fruitful! The service here is super chill and on top of things. We 2 flights so we got to taste a good variety of samples. Great pours. We ended up leaving w one of their best bottles and now we're saving it for a special occasion. We got (ranked from 'pour me another' to meh): *Violet Crown *Tempranillo Nuevo *Vermentino *Red-Nat *Picpoul *Piquette - this seems to be a star here but we personally hated it - tasted a bit like dilute pickle juice A bottle we had before coming to this place was their Hill Country Rosso and that's still my favorite. As far as COVID safety goes, the tables are super spread out, the staff wears masks at all times, and everything seems clean. This place is super cool and what seems to be a hidden gem.

Yelp
I'd give this place 5 stars for the interior and overall vibe, but only 3 stars because we were a bit disappointed with the wine itself. The atmosphere is lively with board games and great decor inside, and a food truck and lots of picnic tables outside for large groups. However, my group ordered 2 different red wines and 1 sparkling white wine and felt that the wines were lacking in flavor and very watery. Maybe this is how Austin wine is, but if you're looking for deeper, richer flavored wine, I would go somewhere else.

Yelp
Pretty laid back spot. A nice spot to grab a quick glass of wine with a friend or 2. For a locally ran winery, I'd say it's worth going for sure. The menu selection for cheese variations are subpar. We did try some octopus and squid, which was an interesting discussion over some glasses of wine. You can only imagine how these convos went lol! All in all, I highly recommend stopping in for an interesting glass or two. Cheers to more wine!

Yelp
Several bumps but I still loved the venue! Great wine! Great venue and great friends! My wife and I had our 10 year anniversary here and we enjoyed every bit of it! There were a few bumps in getting set up and the space and communication ... but honestly they did not detract from the pure fun we had here! Fantastic wine! You have to try the "friends with benefits" one of the best white wines I have ever had... and the port... lord the port! A great venue that has people after people coming in.. nonstop! They are making wine right there too.. young owners and they are making it happen! Be sure to take the tour... it is informative! I really liked everything... the space... the people and of course the wine... but the best part was our company.. Mr and Mrs Texas came... how great is that! True royalty joined us. Then Nickie and Rawhide...some of the best people I know... kings and queens in their own right! Tisha... awesome lady... so glad you came, And a good friend. Then last but certainly not least... Tiffany, a friend that is one of our best (and a beautiful woman in general)! I appreciate them all! You all are true friends! Best friends! Back to the venue... I suggest trying it... the wine is great! The people good, and the space fun! Seriously... a great place to hang out!

Yelp
Very cute tasting room within an industrial area. You would not think there would be a place like this there. The Yard is the location and they have several business including this winery, a distillery, a brewery, and a few other places. The wine was good and the cheese and charcuterie board was a good size. I'd like to give 5 stars, but we had to ask for napkins, no plates given either. It was also a bit messy inside. Not sure if they were re-organizing or what. But friendly staff, good wine, and cute space! I recommend a stop in!

Yelp
It's simple, if you're not pretentious and you like natural wine, you'll enjoy this place. Industrial spot located in the Yard, great natural lighting and some benches outside for the big groups. A truly gorgeous selection with some fantastic small plates as well- tinned seafood, quality cheeses and bread, etc. Always an enjoyable time.

Yelp
Love, love, LOVE the Austin Winery. It must been the cutest, quaint little winery I have ever been to. Went here while visiting Austin for my friend's bachelorette party and we had such a great time! We went on a Saturday afternoon, and it was pretty busy (so plan accordingly!). We went around 1 PM and it started to get really busy around 3 PM! I tried the tastings of four different wines and let me tell you, they were all WONDERFUL. I like Cabernet Sauvignon and they had some delicious choices. They also have AMAZING meat and cheese boards. Their cheese was probably the best cheese I have ever had. Writing about it makes me crave their food right now! They are an amazing, local spot and I highly recommend it. Also the staff is very friendly and helpful!
