Urban winery offering Texas-grown natural wines & cheese boards

"Located at The Yard in South Austin, The Austin Winery specializes in natural and low-intervention wine, so you’ll typically find some interesting stuff on any given day. It’s all set in a surprisingly cozy two-story industrial warehouse, filled with lots of tables and barrels, plus a bunch of plants to liven up the space. Pop in for a glass of something orange and funky, or grab a bottle—they don’t charge a corkage fee, making it one of the more affordable options for natural wine in town. If you get hungry, there are a handful of good food trucks parked right outside, including Nixtamal, Reem's Falafel, and Knuckle Sandwich. photo credit: Nicolai McCrary" - Nicolai McCrary

"I was craving New York-style halal carts and this food truck at Austin Winery delivered: the beef and lamb shawarma plate featured thin, supple, flavorful cuts, pickled cucumbers and onions cut into sticks for easy layering in pita, filling rice, and complimentary hummus that was practically drinkable — I need to go back for the falafel ASAP." - Nadia Chaudhury

"A South Austin spot that will host Golden Castle’s next pop-up on Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11 starting at noon each day; the burger canon—which didn’t appear at the last pop-up—should return for this event." - Nadia Chaudhury
