The Bagel Hole opened last week, June 22nd. They specialize in NY style bagels. Can't tell you how excited I am that they're FINALLY open! I have driven past the shopping center they're located in hundreds of times in the past few months, and each time hoped they were open.
Hubs and I decided to check them out Saturday afternoon. We were greeted as soon as we entered. The place was busy, but the line moved quickly. The shop is small, but has ample seating indoor and a few tables outdoor. The dining room is currently closed, and social distancing is encouraged. The staff wore masks and gloves. Hand sanitizer was readily available.
Their menu offers bagels, cream cheese schmear, sandwiches, salads, pastries, and drinks. At the time of our visit, their credit card machine wasn't working and were only taking cash.
We ordered the following:
Lox on a wheat bagel
Cinnamon raisin with chocolate chip cream cheese
Onion bagel with chive/scallion cream cheese
French toast bagel
We probably would have ordered more food if I had more cash. Everything looked so good! We took our food outside and ate at one of the tables. The lox sandwich was loaded with smoked salmon, cream cheese, red onions, and capers. It was excellent. The wheat bagel was also excellent. Great texture. I had a few bites of the cinnamon raisin bagel with chocolate chip cream cheese, and it was like eating a breakfast dessert. Yum! Hubs enjoyed his onion bagel. We brought the rest of the cinnamon raisin bagel and the french toast bagel home to my son who devoured both.
As soon as we left, one of the staff members came out and cleaned the table and chairs we used. It's nice to see them take Covid-19 guidelines seriously. I look forward to trying more items on the menu, especially the rainbow bagels! We will be back soon.
