The Baked Bear Will Open in the Colony With Massive Frozen Desserts - Eater Dallas

"SoCal-born sweets chain The Baked Bear debuts its gigantic ice cream sandwiches at The Colony next month. The inaugural Dallas location — and fifth in Texas — is scheduled to arrive mid-March in the massive mixed-used Grandscape development (5752 Grandscape Boulevard). The shop specializes in custom ice cream sandwiches, built with freshly-baked cookies and brownies and rolled through offbeat toppings like Fruity Pebbles and Oreo crumble. Other core offerings include hand-churned scoops in flavors like Blackberry Crumble and Toasted S’mores and a rotating cookie of the month. Founders Rob Robbins and Shane Stanger grew up together in San Diego with a childhood pact to open a restaurant one day, and the brand has ballooned to 25 locations coast to coast in seven years. The latest 1,100-square-foot location in Dallas will be operated by local owner Shaila Kabani." - Tierney Plumb

Went for a treat here after go karting. The ice cream was creamy and average, the cookies were even below average but the disappointment was the fly hanging around in the cookie section having a feast. I had to let the team know, didn’t stay back to see if the cookie was removed. A nice concept, on creating your own ice cream sandwich, not sure if it’s worth it though.

Came for dessert before go karting with my family. It was a big hit. First time here, the staff was really friendly and helped us figure out what we wanted and gave us samples to try. Everyone loved it. Would definitely come back.

cute & so many yummy cookie options! great service as well :) full ice cream sandwich portion size was a bit too sugary & big for me though so might only get it with one cookie next time also, was told s’mores ice cream has gelatin so giving a heads up in case you’re muslim, vegetarian, or just generally avoid pork!

The Baked Bear is a must-visit dessert spot! Their Bear Bowl is awesome - a warm, gooey brownie smothered in cold ice cream is pure bliss. The service was top-notch, friendly and attentive, and I love that it's open late. Can't wait to go back and try more flavors!

Probably the best brownie sandwich we’ve ever had! The portion size was just right, making it both satisfying and shareable. The brownie itself had an excellent texture—soft, chewy, and full of flavor with every bite. A perfect treat all around!

If you want a sugar rush, look no further. They have limited flavor options for their ice cream (my kids want basic) Make sure you get the cookie warmed up, makes a big difference. The helpings are big and can be shared easily.

I was excited to try this place because I love ice cream sandwiches but I was pretty disappointed. I tried 6 different cookies and 1 ice and it all tasted the same. The cookies tasted like they had been sitting in crisco and had zero flavor other than that. The ice cream also lacked flavor. The employees were friendly but that’s really the only positive I have.

Not to toot my own horn or anything, but Baked Bear Food Truck +team just made me the COOLEST mom/host ever. Hah I booked BB food truck for my son's SUPER 5th birthday party in the park-- it was a huge yummy hit! I decided to ditch the traditional cake and went for Baked Bears incredibly delicious ice cream Sammies! Stick a candle in and done. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a person that'll spend a fortune on birthday parties either. Surprisedly, having BB food truck come out was actually affordable--AND YOU should've seen my kids face the entire time. Totally worth EVERY penny. Samir and team were great with communication and punctuation. I'll be booking again for sure!

AMAZING STUFF! Booked this truck for my corporate event and everyone fell in loveee. They even warm up the cookie sandwiches and somehow doesn't melt the ice cream! HIGHLY recommend to anyone needing a food truck for their next special event!
