Bangkok Village is hands-down one of the most charming and delicious spots we’ve been to! From the moment we walked in, we felt a welcoming, cozy atmosphere with warm lighting, tasteful décor, and a calm, relaxing vibe that made it easy to settle in and enjoy the experience. The staff here is outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to guide you through the menu. They didn’t just take our order; they took time to answer questions, make recommendations, and ensure everything came out exactly as we hoped. It felt like they truly cared about our dining experience. Now, the food—this is where Bangkok Village really shines. Every dish was fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with authentic flavor. You can taste the quality in every bite, from the vibrant herbs to the perfectly balanced spices. The Pad Thai was a perfect mix of sweet, savory, and tangy, with just the right amount of crunch from the peanuts. The Green Curry was rich and creamy, with tender vegetables and a depth of flavor that made us slow down just to savor every spoonful. And the Drunken Noodles? Absolutely addictive—bold, spicy, and satisfying. One of the highlights for us was how family-friendly the restaurant is. The environment was relaxed enough that we could enjoy a meal without worrying about feeling rushed, and the staff was so kind to the kids, even bringing them extra rice and recommending milder dishes they would enjoy. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are very fair for the quality you receive. Everything tasted fresh and made to order, and the presentation made each dish look like something out of a magazine. We left completely satisfied, with leftovers in hand, and already talking about what we’re going to try on our next visit. Bangkok Village is the kind of place where you can come for a casual weeknight dinner, a special occasion, or even just to pick up some amazing takeout—and know it’s going to be a great experience every time. If you’re craving authentic Thai food that’s cooked with love, served with care, and enjoyed in a welcoming atmosphere, Bangkok Village is the place to be. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves great flavors and great hospitality!

I heard lots of good things about this place but I’m very disappointed. I ordered delivery and both items came in a very strange state. I ordered fresh spring rolls and the spicy basil noodles with beef that I paid extra for. The appetizer came raw. I thought maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be and I didn’t want to judge, but I tried a piece and it was in fact raw. The noodles also came without any beef. Incredibly disappointed I don’t think I’ll be eating here again.

I've been a loyal customer of Bangkok Village for over 10 years, and it never disappoints! The food is consistently authentic and bursting with flavor, transporting me straight to Thailand every time I visit. Whether it’s the rich curries, perfectly spiced stir-fries, or their mouthwatering pad Thai, everything is made with care and the freshest ingredients. The ambiance of the restaurant adds to the experience, making it feel like a true escape into Thai culture. It's no wonder I keep coming back – the quality and authenticity have remained top-notch for over a decade. If you're craving real Thai food, Bangkok Village is the place to go!

I have traveled to Thailand and THIS is authentic Thai food. I have been coming here over 20 years now. I LOVE the Massaman dish, yummy peanut sauce veggies and chicken and the Satay chicken as well (pictured below). Tom Yum soup is fabulous as well! The food is piping hot, always served in a timely manner, we love going there as a special night out. We were just there (1/11/25) to celebrate my sons 31 birthday. He chose his birthday dinner place. He's been coming here 20 years as well. Reservations are strongly recommended, it is an intimate space.

Food was FANTASTIC! True to the Thailand ethnicity. Atmosphere was quaint and made you feel like you were in their country. Clean restaurant. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. But I really can't say enough about the delicious food. Oh and the prices were very affordable. Especially with today's inflation.

Google
I used to go here all the time when I lived close by. Just came back for a visit and went here twice. I love the food, the decor and friendly staff. I love the spicy basil noodles. The curry is also good. I get it spicy 🤌🏻

I have dined with my family several times at Bangkok Village. The food is authentic and delicious. The service is excellent. Such a welcoming restaurant. If you haven’t been, the new menu is worth the trip.

Insane good. All the dishes we ordered and shared were really good. Definitely will come back to try more they have to offer. Priced well.

Yelp
Had a phenomenal dinner at Bangkok with my friend! Highly recommend this yummy place for Thai food. Service was impeccable as well! Ambiance of the place is dim lit and it's a clean place.

Yelp
We only heard of this place via Uber Eats, and of course checked Yelp before ordering. Being lovers of authentic Thai food, even just Bangkok street food, I must say our orders were seriously lacking in flavors. The packaging was neatly done, but the portions were small. For the prices of entrees, I'd recommend increasing the portions. The Uber Eats service was great. Our first experience!

Yelp
We visited this place over the weekend with family. We went on Saturday around 745-8 pm for dinner. The place is kind of small for seating and dining in. However there weee two empty tables that would have accommodated party of 5. I had a 3 year old with me, still we were asked to wait for 15 min for no reason. After seating, the service was extremely poor, the server messed up our order and we waited for almost 35 min after placing the order. When we received the order the server told us the kitchen is closing in 5 min so we kind of had to rush if we wanted more food or any dessert. It was extremely disappointing. Food quality was decent. Service: 2/10 Food: 6/10 Ambience: 6/10

Yelp
Just ate here for lunch (no lunch specials anymore) and had pad see ew and a Thai iced tea. $25 including tip was a bit steep for lunch, but it was good. The first Thai I have ordered in a long time that didn't make mush out of the noodles. Well seasoned and hot spice level was just right. Nice atmosphere clean and well maintained for a restaurant that has been here before Naperville became insanely expensive.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite go to places for delicious and savory well prepared food. Our favorite server Rose always anticipates our needs and service is fast and dishes look beautiful when served

Alex V.

Yelp
Food is delicious & service is great. Ambiance is good too ! We always enjoy our servers especially Rose. Been going over 10 years , my favorite Thai place ever.

Yelp
Been awhile since we visited. We made last minute reservations over the phone with a very nice young man. The place is small... 11-12 tables that can sit 2-4 people. Not good for big groups. Quaint. Nicely decorated. SERVICE: Service was friendly but we felt a little rushed. I also noticed they wouldn't sit a party of two who walked in because there were no tables for just two available. But there were tables for 4 open. I didn't think that was appropriate. FOOD: Ordered dumplings, shrimp Pad Thai, pepper steak, and basil chicken. First 3 dishes - 5 stars. Delicious, especially the Pad Thai. Basil Chicken - 4 stars. I thought the presentation of the food was also quite nice. Overall, my rating for this visit is a 4. Would recommend and will be back!

Yelp
Bangkok Village has some pretty great Thai food! The restaurant itself is on the smaller end, so getting seating is a bit difficult if you go at peak hours. My favorite options are the Pad Thai and the spicy basil noodles! I'd recommend going during their lunch special:)

Ann S.

Yelp
Food is very good . We had the pad Thai and seafood fried rice, wonton soup is very good also . The seating room is tiny , Friday evening is cramped. Go a different day if you can. Will visit again. There was only 2 waitstaff but they managed to serve and keep things moving.

Yelp
PadThai noodles taste great ! Would definitely recommend . Good service and always ontime for pickup orders

Yelp
Searching for a dine in Asian restaurant brought us here. Thank you Yelp! The inside is small and clean. We were seated quickly and brought menus. The shrimp coconut soup prepared spicy had a good flavor. I was hoping for more shrimp but I would order it again just on the flavor of the broth. Delicious The larb also had a great flavor. Not overly sauced but not dry, it was a great balance. Ordered medium it had a nice little kick. It had a lot of red onion in it. I finished by ordering the Bangkok style shrimp fried rice ordered one step below Thai spicy. It delivered in the heat department!!! So tasty and full of genuine Thai flavor. This also had kernels of corn in it which was a nice textural surprise. I would definitely recommend this dish and this restaurant. Fairly priced for what you get and attentive service. Parking was a little difficult. We wound up in the free parking deck across the street.

Yelp
Food was fantastic. Yellow curry was perfect. I've eaten that dish all of the country. Top 2 for sure. Service was wonderful. Attentive and gave opinion.

Yelp
Service is always friendly and food is delicious! A true Naperville staple. Ambiance is great for a date night or family outing.

Yelp
I just discovered this restaurant in downtown Naperville. I had the Bangkok Village Pepper Steak and it was delicious! It was also a nice portion. I returned four days later for more.

Ryan E.

Yelp
Fantastic food, amazing service, and an incredible environment. Perfect for a post downtown dinner and some great Thai food

Saurabh G.

Yelp
Good ambience, slow music, and pleasant decor. I did not particularly found the food remarkable. I have spent some time in Thailand, so I did not feel the authenticity. Perhaps it's just an attempt to make it more suitable for the American palette. They are nice people, and the service is good. The food felt a little expensive for the quantity and ambience of the place, but overall a pleasant dining experience.

Yelp
One so easy to give this place 5 stars. First of all, ITS RUN BY REAL THAI (not Chinese. not Vietnamese) who greet you in the native Thai language. I would have enjoyed my meal more if I was not arguing with the person with whom I decided to dine, but the food was so amazing that I didn't care about the abrasive nature of my company. The point is that if you're going to have an argument, this restaurant is not "discretion friendly" because people are seated so close to each other. Pad Kee Mow was not only perfect, but they were generous in omitting ingredients I prefer not to be in my drunken noodle dish.

Yelp
Very friendly staff. Good location in Naperville. Parking garage across the street. There is also a smaller parking lot with the other stores nearby. I had the pad see ew with chicken. It was really good. The portion size was great. I like this dish because it's not spicy at all. Good meat quality. My husband had the pad Thai with chicken. He enjoyed it. He ordered it with medium spice which was pretty spicy. It was about $30 total for both dishes, so a little pricey but restaurants are struggling right now so I get it.

Yelp
Well my friend from Galesburg Illinois is not working here for the next week and a half in Naperville Illinois. I wanted to take them to some place exotic since he always eats everyday foods that we know. And this was opportunity for him to try something different or unique. It was also my first time dining at Thai restaurant here and I've had Thai food before but this was his first time and I have to say everything was delicious over here and not too expensive than most Thai restaurants. I myself had just discovered this in Naperville and would most likely come back here again. The Thai iced tea was sweet and delicious the cucumber salad was fresh as well as the chicken satay and the pad thai that was beef was delicious as well as the spicy chicken Paradise which I normally do not order since it's not traditional but never the less delicious. Anyways do come here.
google avatar

Grace L.

Yelp
Some of the better pad thai in Naperville--it's sweet, tangy and you can choose from so many spice levels! The thinner noodles soak the delicious sauce really well, and it's paired with a lot of egg. The inside is small but it's never too busy. A little pricey, at around $15 for chicken pad thai and $18 for shrimp.
google avatar

Van B.

Yelp
The service was very good, however the chicken dish I had was way to salty, as well as flavorvaly not that good. There was a potent taste to it which wasn't that good.

Kristen D.

Yelp
Went seeking some Thai food in Naperville with a friend and found this place. Stopped in around 2:20PM not realizing they close for an hour and a half at 2:30, but the staff graciously served us anyway. And I'm glad they did. I ordered my "usual" Chicken Pad Thai and it was very good - made with a tamarind sauce which is just the way I like it. My friend ordered a curry dish and was quite satisfied with it as well. Oh, and did I mention we selected tod mun (fish cakes) for appetizers? About a dozen or so of them perfectly cooked (so many places fry them too long). Glad we picked this spot - left the place feeling full and very satisfied.

Yelp
So all these reviewed talked about the $13 Spicy Chicken Paradise, which doesn't sound very Thai to me, but that quickly became irrelevant after the first bite because it was just pure joy to have in my mouth. The chicken pieces deep fried in light batter were crispy and flavorful. Oh ya, there were also pea pods and bell peppers. It came with rice, but could have used more. I would definitely order it again! Chicken Pad Thai $11 - Well made and the noodles were not over cooked. Tom Mun/Fish Cakes $9 - This mini fish cakes were good and fun to eat. Thai Iced Tea $3.50 - Good flavor and sweetness level. Thai Custard $4 - Served warm and was a nice way to end the meal. They were out of mango with sticky rice. Parking can be difficult during prime hours, even with the parking lot across the street. There are street parking available that's still close by if the lots are full. ....| \ _ , , , - - , , _ , .../ , ` . - ' ` ' . _ \ - ; ; ; , _ ..| , a - ) ) _ . ; . Yelp
We'd eaten here multiple times over the years. We were in the mood for Thai food and headed to Bangkok Village. Ordered crispy tofu and Satay chicken appetizers. Both were delicious. The peanut sauce was perfect as was the sauce with the crispy tofu. For entree's I ordered the Panang curry with chicken amd it, too, was exactly how I remember a good Panang curry should taste. She ordered tofu Pad Thai. It seemed a little too sweet for our tastes, but some may love it. Service was attentive, courteous, prompt, and efficient. Definitely glad we made the trip. Convenient parking right across the street too.

Yelp
In a city that has turned into chain restaurants and commercialized food there is this gem. The restaurant is smaller but the food packs amazing flavors. The staff members are kind, hospitable and there to ensure a wonderful experience. My girlfriend is gluten free, they had a great selection and were willing to make other dishes gluten free. The food is spicy and a 4 is Thai spicy. I love this because most Thai restaurants do not make their dishes spicy enough. They asked were I wanted my spice level and ensured it was perfect. They take great pride in their food and serve each dish with love. It was a great experience and I'm excited to come back. Thank you!

Yelp
This place is probably the best Thai food around! I have come here many times over the years with both family and friends, and the food has always consistently substantive and flavorful! The restaurant has some beautiful decor when you first walk in, and I've often sat at the big table by the window. They tend to get bustling and loud around dinnertime, so if you don't mind the noise, this is a great place to go for date night too! There is plenty of free parking in the lot right next door. What I love about them are their extensive vegetarian menu and offerings. I've always felt comfortable ordering from them as they are very upfront about which sauces and dishes are vegetarian and which are not (some businesses are not as upfront about no oyster sauce, fish oil, no meat, no egg/yolks in anything, etc.). When I come here, I usually am very happy with their cashew entree, udon noodles, and their red and green curries. All the food I've tried from them is super delicious, and they definitely don't skimp on portion size. Their flavor profile is also extensive, so if you are craving something sweet but also super spicy, they are able to take it there with spice if you ask! The next time I'm here, I would love to order the vegetarian spring rolls, they look and seem like they'd be great! Overall, even though I have not yet ordered takeout, I seriously recommend trying Bangkok Village! Prices are right, the food is delicious, and staff is very friendly to patrons and respectful of COVID guidelines. Definitely a favorite!

Yelp
The waitress was so thoughtful! We had meat eaters and vegetarians, and she asked very thoughtful questions to make sure our vegetarian was taken care of. Food was delicious, decor was interesting - will definitely be back!

Yelp
Ended up here accidentally but nicely surprised. Delicious food and great services. Headed to Naperville downtown with hubby on Monday night. Was aiming for a Vietnamese place but closed on Monday. Then found this place nearby. The place was decorated pretty nicely and comfortable seating. Much fancier comparing to outside looking. We ordered typical our Thai go-to food - Pad Thai and Green curry. Also tried the appetizers. Both were pretty tasty. Pah Thai was cooked right with a good balance between sweetness and Soy sauce. Green curry with Tofu has very nice creamy sauce for rice and perfect cooked tofu. I liked the Thai eggroll a lot. Not so much on poststickers. Services were pretty good and price were a bit expensive.

Yelp
Picked up carry out on a Friday night. First Thai in Naperville & it's a solid one. Fresh ingredients, noodles were perfectly tender & sauces were tasty. Nothing was overly salty or greasy which I've experienced a lot elsewhere. Their curry was much milder than I expected, so although I prefer more heat, this is a good spot for those who are averse to very spicy dishes. My only gripe is that the chicken was dry. We'll be back again sometime in the near future!

Yelp
I have no idea how I've never known this place was here all this time. So happy I found it! Ordering over the phone for takeaway was simple, and there was minimal contact when I picked up my food. Staff had their masks on, and there was a big bottle of hand sanitizer at the door that you could use. I split three dishes with my family: pad Thai with beef, green curry with chicken, and the classic noodle salad. The pad Thai was slightly sweeter than what I'm used to, but it was great nonetheless. The classic noddle salad was something new for me. Not sure how tarte it's supposed to taste, but it was TARTE. Tons of vinegar at the bottom of the container, enough to fill half of a rice bowl. If it weren't for that, I think it would've tasted even better. Staff was friendly when I picked up my order, but whoever it was I spoke to on the phone when I couldn't find the restaurant (yeah, I got a little lost thinking it was physically in the plaza) was kind of rude and not very helpful until the very end. She kept saying "We're in the strip mall, but outside of it. Do you understand?" No, I did not quite understand and was rather a little hangry, still lost, and getting confused. I tried to explain where I was and wanted to ask for directions but she just kept repeating the same thing. Figured it out, eventually, but I wish she could've been a little more patient about it. Overall I'd recommend this place, especially the green curry (great for mild spicy lovers). Just make sure you know how to find them! (If you're in the plaza, face north so you're looking at Chicago, turn right so you're walking on Chicago, and it's 2 or 3 doors down from Smoothie King. Told you I figured it out!)

Yelp
Red curry with tofu is one of my very favorite foods, so I was happy to try this place! Went with my sister, brother, and his girlfriend and we were all pleased! This place was cute and small, kind of a hidden gem, I didn't even know it was there until we found it on yelp. The ambiance was nice and relaxed. One small complaint was that it was like super hot in there. I took off my jacket and was still hot in a t shirt but then I'd freeze whenever someone opened the door haha. But the food was delicious! We got egg rolls to start, they were little but quite tasty. My red curry was delicious, creamy and perfectly prepared tofu, yum! I thought the carrots shaped like flowers were a nice touch as well. My sister really liked her vegetable fried rice. My brothers fried tofu was good too, but I liked my meal the best. I'd totally come back here for my next visit to Naperville!
google avatar

Hira H.

Yelp
The food was mediocre at best. For all it's great reviews, the Tom Kha was overly sour, and had a fishy smell. We all got something different, but none of it seemed incredibly appetizing, at least to me. The fish cakes were the only thing that had any redeeming quality to them. That and their decor is the only reason why they're getting the 3 stars. Our server was really sweet, but there was certainly some attitude we palpated amongst the other servers. All in all, no good reason to ever really want to return.

Yelp
You have to pick a good time to go. This place is packed . But the food is so worth the wait. Service was good !

Yelp
I have lived in Chiang Mai, Thailand and spent time in Bangkok. I am familiar with authentic Thai food and Bangkok Village is "on point." The recipes are straight from Thailand. The atmosphere is Thailand, the food is remarkable. The beauty at this restaurant is that you can get the spicier Thai flavor just by asking. They will know what you mean. Service is excellent and the portions are generous. Bangkok Village is a great value. I have never been disappointed.

Yelp
Some of the best Thai food we have had in a really long time! Quaint local spot downtown Naperville, plenty of free public parking across the street. Authentic Thai food, beautiful presentation, gorgeous decor, amazing staff. Great for lunch or dinner.
google avatar

Nadia S.

Yelp
If you have never had authentic Thai food before then this will be a great place. But, if you have had authentic Thai food before, you will be deeply disappointed. Not the ambience, not the food quality, not the service... It's just not worth it. The one star is for for the food presentation, which I thought wasn't half bad.

Yelp
Love this amazing small Thai restaurant. The food is fresh and prepared to order. We often order to pick up. The employees are very friendly as well. DELICIOUS!

Yelp
Good food, took order to go. Wish I could give it 5 stars but I had better Thai then this and cannot really go there now. Will go back soon, maybe to dine in

Yelp
After ravings from other family members, we decided to try this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon. While the restaurant itself is small and may not seat more than 30 people on average, the decor inside is beautiful and the seating style is unique. When it came time to ordering, we explained that we were vegetarian and our server immediately knew what needed to be eliminated from our food (i.e., oyster sauce, fish oil, all meats, etc.), which in my book was a major A+ for this restaurant. We ordered spring roles and egg roles as appetizers, of which I much preferred the egg roles. The spring roles weren't bad, but lacked some flavor for my taste - adding the side spices helped though! We then ordered our entrees, of which my favorites were the panang curry and the basil noodles. The jasmine rice had been shaped into hearts for presentation, and our server was nice enough to get us another serving of jasmine rice upon request. Overall, the food was seasoned well and I felt comfortable knowing that the restaurant was able to accommodate vegetarians well. I will definitely be back when I have a craving for some delicious Thai food!

Yelp
The dishes are in very Small portion and pricey food they even charge extra $2 for each rice

Yelp
On a whim my family and I walked in around 7pm and was seated immediately. The service was prompt and quick. The food was really good and I felt it was very authentic for the area. The sauces were flavorful and fresh. I was pleasantly surprised at how great all the dishes were.

Yelp
We have lived in 5 different cities include 5 years in NYC and this is among the best Thai food we've had. I only wish they were open Sundays.

Yelp
The pad Thai is absolutely delicious!! Quaint restaurant with excellent service. A definite 5 star!

Yelp
Been here twice and the food has been great and so has the service! They are very accommodating to vegans and vegetarians and have always been super nice. Both big and small orders alike have been prepared quick and on-time. I'll be back!

Nicole L.

Yelp
We love dining here! The food is consistently fresh, hot and flavorful. My husband and I usually order the fried wontons to start and the spicy chicken paradise for entrées. I ask for mine with no breading on the chicken and it's never a problem, they always accommodate. They will also make it as spicy as you want and I mean really spicy if you ask for it!

Jen L.

Yelp
Authentic, yes. Overpriced? By far. The portions are very skimpy for the prices. The egg rolls are so skinny with virtually nothing inside them. It was all wrapper. The seafood dumplings were sized for dolls and tasted very fishy and mushy. I'm going to search around for a cheaper place. The garnishes were also super skimpy--I'd recommend bringing your own ground peanuts, limes, shredded carrots and cabbage.
google avatar

Nicole G.

Yelp
The best pad Thai I have had yet!! My husband and I are constantly on the search for great local places for pad Thai and I think we found it here at Bangkok Village. Their employee was very helpful with suggesting portion sizes when we were ordering take out. We each got the biggest pad Thai with chicken. I got mine a normal spicy level and my husband got his extra spicy. The thing we both agree we loved the most was the sauce. It was creamy and you could really taste the peanut. The crushed peanuts on top added the perfect amount of crunch. The chicken was cooked perfectly and mine had the right amount of spice. My husband said his could have been hotter but his taste buds might be a little numb by now :'D We'll definitely be back to snuggle up by the unique variety of seating inside and get a photo because we definitely inhaled ours.

Yelp
Very small place tucked in the corner of downtown Naperville. I've come here several times and love this place. The food is great, the staff is very friendly. I'd recommend if you're looking for some good Thai food.
