Step into the Baccarat Hotel's bar for a luxe cocktail experience amid dazzling decor, sumptuous snacks, and a warm, welcoming vibe.
"Yes, it’s the same Baccarat known for making fine French crystal and yes, there are more than a few extravagant chandeliers in this place. It’s a great spot to hang out in this part of Midtown, especially if you’re using an expense account. The cheapest cocktails are around $30, but they come with generous servings of spiced nuts and olives." - bryan kim, molly fitzpatrick, will hartman, sonal shah, tiffany yannetta
"Whereas Sex and the City saw Carrie and co going to an adventurous array of watering holes to pick up men—who remembers the fireman calendar contest on Staten Island?—And Just Like That… shows Seema, Nya, and Carrie going to the bar five-star Baccarat Hotel."
"The next time you want to pretend you’re a royal entertaining someone in your extravagant salon, get dessert at Baccarat Bar. The palatial space boasts two enormous Baccarat crystal chandeliers and an art collection worthy of the museum across the street. Drinks start at $30, but they do come with silver dishes of very good olives and spiced nuts, so it’s kind of a deal if you think about it. For dessert, we recommend the île flottante and a scoop or two of whatever ice cream or sorbet is on offer." - carina finn koeppicus
"For a post-show drink, I prefer the hotels. My favorites are The Bar at the Baccarat Hotel." - ByAli Francis
"If sparkly things give you an instant endorphin rush, you should go to the bar at Baccarat Hotel at least once. Yes, it’s the same Baccarat known for making fine French crystal, and yes, there are more than a few extravagant chandeliers in this place. The bar opens at 4pm every day, and it’s a great place to hang out in this part of Midtown, especially if you’re using an expense account. The cheapest cocktails are around $30, but they come with generous servings of spiced nuts and olives—so if you do the math, it’s kind of a deal? The room is stunning, the drinks are showy and delicious, and you can also order elevated bar food (a $68 plate of Iberico, but also $16 fries) and excellent desserts. We recently had a chocolate and pistachio ile flottante here that reminded us why this old-school dessert became a classic in the first place. It came with fresh berries covered in edible gold, because of course it did." - Carina Finn
