First time staying at this hotel, and definitely won’t be my last. Super friendly service- Kat and Jeremy recommended their signature cocktails which were absolutely delicious. Drinking it as I type this, highly recommend the “too much happiness” martini. Thank you Short Stories for the hospitality!!

Recently this restaurant reopened under new management. And the food is exceptional! Very tasty and well prepared. I love the service and the staff were friendly with the guests. They worked like a team. It is apparent that the chef takes care to offer the best quality. I had the Arugula and Yuzu Salad with Grilled Salmon... the arugula was tossed generously with figs, pine nuts, and yuzu dressing... a delicious blend. The salmon was perfectly grilled, definitely NOT overcooked. My sweetie enjoyed the grilled cheeseburger and shoestring fries. He said that both were cooked perfectly. My other friend had the fettuccine with a creamy mushroom and black truffles sauce. He gave a thumbs up too. Our two appetizers were calamari and broccolini... again so tasty and perfectly cooked. It is on Fairfax, across from the upscale Grove Mall... though they have good restaurants there, I'm coming back to Short Stories restaurant!

Came for a happy hour with friends and got great service from the bartender and staff. Drinks were made really well and prices for happy hour were ideal

Yelp
Great place for a drinks and a snack (dinner is probably great too). Had a couple of gimlet's and enjoyed the courtyard with all the lovely plants and vibe music while I finished my book. I love vacation...sigh...

Yelp
The food was mediocre, service was mediocre- Everything was mediocre. When we asked for appetizer recommendations the waiter suggested the crudités (if that says anything about the dishes). Our entrees were under seasoned and took forever to come out even though the restaurant maybe had 5 tables sat. The only saving grace was the cocktails.

Yelp
We were staying at the Short Stories hotel and were tired after a long drive and decided to eat at the hotel's restaurant. The restaurant is comfortable and romantic with dim lighting and a fireplace in the outside space. It was a little cold on the December evening we were there so we opted to sit inside but they also have a beautiful outdoor space with heaters. We started with the Kofta appetizer, a lamb and beef meatball with carnalized onions and currants with a tomato sauce and house made pita. The meatballs and pitas were a good size with robust flavor. For dinner I had the chicken tagine that came with a slaw, pita, and two good size pieces of chicken. The dish was well balanced with fresh and comforting elements. My husband had the short rib and we both agreed it's one of the best short ribs we've ever had! It literally melts in your mouth. We were both very impressed with our meal here and would recommend to anyone in the Hollywood area.

Yelp
To enter Short Stories restaurant, use the entrance to Short Stories Hotel on Fairfax. Parking is a challenge; there are limited metered street spots or you can park at the farmers market parking lot across the street for a fee. Short Stories is the among the new additions to the Beverly Grove area. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, reservations preferred but not required and the dress code is casual chic. Service was cordial, nice and attentive. Both the hostess and waitress on the few times I been here were friendly to Me and my furbabe Fendi. The menu offers a take on California cuisine with Peruvian touches with options from light, medium and larger portions to satiate your appetite. Ordered from all sections of the menu: grilled octopus, Mediterranean Whipped cumin Labneh, Peruvian baba ganoush, media Luna filled with Tiger Prawn and yuzu koshu marinate and the French Cala Rosé all were delightful and perfect for this setting. Because the restaurant is affiliated with Short Stories Hotel, an automatic service charge 20% is gratuitously added to the check. The service from the waitress Bethany was attentive and I was cool with this charge. The lush outdoor patio was the real draw, surrounded with enough verdant trees, blooming florals and a flowing fountain all seemed like an oasis in this part of town. I've only visited during non peak dining times, sans crowds, just the sound of the fountain water and the soft music made dining experience quite nice. Recommend.

Yelp
I hate that my first time at Short Stories was so rough because I could not have had a different experience this time around. After our service mishaps, Jennifer the manager was kind enough to invite us back for a second go. I absolutely saw this time what all of the positive reviews were about. Everything about our trip this time was great. To start, our server was really helpful about portion sizes and gave us honest, on point recommendations for what to expect from each dish. We got two shrimp tacos and the labneh for our starters from the happy hour menu. Ordering fancy tacos in LA is always a risk because of the plethora of options, but the prawns were heavenly. It was worth it! The labneh comes with pillowy pita which we demolished immediately, and we were both eating the dip with a fork because it was too good to waste! Also from the happy hour menu were the cantaloupe margaritas made with mezcal (yes please!!) and basil. They were light and refreshing with the right amount of kick. We were able to get two each before happy hour ended which set the right mood for the rest of our meal. To finish out our meal, we got the lomo saltado which was sooooo good! It doesn't come with rice but that doesn't matter because everything was delectable. The potatoes! The tomatoes! The perfectly cooked steak! The egg! The sauce! Do yourself a favor and order this please! All in all, I feel bad that my last experience was sour because this could not have been a better evening. I hope to be back and thanks again to the Short Stories team for going above and beyond to have us back!

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Short Stories Restaurant, it's such a cute vibe & perfect spot to have date night on a Friday night. Here's all you need to know! Arrival: When you arrive park your car in valet which is $15 and you don't need cash but you'll need to download an app. Street parking is an option depending on what time you get there. We got there in the evening and there was no street parking available. Seating: We were about 15 minutes late to our reservation due to us trying to figure out the parking situation. Luckily, Tray at the hostess post was polite, professional and accommodating. We had the choice of sitting inside where there was a hip-hop DJ or outside where there was Flamingo live music happening. We love a good hip-hop DJ set and the DJ sounded great, but we decided to enjoy the soothing sounds of the flamingo music. Ambiance: The ambiance was romantic & classy. The flamingo music just took everything to the next level. The lighting was at a perfect dim & the atmosphere was intimate. Service: Jessica the amazing manager showed us so much love and hospitality. She was well versed in the menu and suggested the best dishes to us which did not disappoint! I truly appreciated the hospitality from Jessica and Tray! Food: The food was really good. When you go try some of the appetizers. We had the shrimp, octopus, tomato spinach bread, and burrata and grilled peaches. All very pleasing to the palate and full of flavor. All of the veggies and fruit tasted freshhhhh! For our entrees we ordered the red snapper and jadori chicken. Both were really good. If you order the red snapper and you're hungry add a side of rice . Overall: It was a great date night we enjoyed every bit of our night! Thank you to everyone who made our experience one to remember.

Yelp
This is my new favorite local spot for Happy Hour!! I'm also really excited about coming back for Sunday Brunch! For happy hour, I was given suggestions by the lovely Trae. She knew exactly what I'd like! I would highly recommend the Wild Flower cocktail if you like Bourbon (awesome twist with floral flavors), Media Luna Tacos, Parmesan Truffle Fries, and Grilled Octopus!!!!!!! There were other great items too. Everything taste so fresh! I'm posting this at my second visit, and I must give credit where credit is due! The ambience is still great with good music, good food, and good energy from the entire staff. But Trae is the MVP! Because of her exceptional customer service, I came back. She really set the tone for a great experience. I am happy to refer this spot to many good friends and clients.

Yelp
Super cute spot for brunch or dinner. I came for dinner on a weeknight with a girlfriend. Fairly quiet, but super cute outdoor/ indoor dining space. Loved the TUNA TOSTADA, CEVICHE CLASSICO, and the FARMER'S MARKET CRUDITE. Did also get a chance to try the ARROZ CON POLLO, but it needed a sauce or something. Overall - experience was great, food was good, and I'll definitely be back to try other dishes. ENJOY! Parking is meter or valet for $15 (I think.)

Yelp
Lomo saltado - meat was very dry and tough. The dish was very bland gambas shrimp - it was just ok mussels - decent flavor and the bread was perfectly toasted and chewy for dipping octopus - also just ok quinotto - this was surprisingly my fave dish of the night. The flavor and texture was on point. We didn't feel heavy afterwards because it was quinoa instead of rice ceviche - they charged us $25 and we never got it The waitress took my order of hot tea and ended up bringing out different ones because she openly admitted she forgot what I ordered. She also gave us tap when we specifically ordered still water. Valet is $15 They automatically charge 20% tip included in the bill The vibe and decor of the place is super cute though.

Yelp
Fresh, imaginative food in a beautiful courtyard. Great service. Fun cocktails. All around a perfect Friday night dinner. Fun enough for groups and romantic for couples. Everything we had was delicious. Artichokes - surprisingly tender and delicious Octopus - perfect taste & texture Sea bass ceviche - great flavor without being overly tart, I ate it like a wrap Truffle quinotto - my fav of the night! Featuring the most succulent mushrooms and truffle oil. Loved that they used quinoa to reduce the hit to my waistline... Blue mussels - wow I hope they add some dessert options. Easy to reserve on OpenTable. I ubered but my friend found street parking closer toward the farmers market/grove.

Yelp
I am a big fan of Chef Ricardo Zarate going all the way back to his Mo-chica days. As expected, the food here was a great representation of how great he is creating beautiful and super flavorful Peruvian influenced dishes. Our favorites were the fish tacos (great flavor and spice), the tiradito (fav of the night...perfectly balanced flavors and heat), ceviche, and the olive babaganoush flatbread. I would pass on the kale Caesar (too dry and lacked umami) and the popped artichokes (which tasted similar to what you get from a jar). Unfortunately, service was such a mess that it ruined our experience. We were seated for a 7:30 reservation and ordered a few apps and drinks pretty quickly. It took about 30 minutes to get our drinks and by 8:35 (more than 1 hour after being seated), only 1 of our 3 apps hit the table and our waiter never came back to try to explain the dealy or take the rest of our order. Our waiter was nowhere to be found and we had to ask people to try to find him. We also had to flag someone down for water refills. We finally got the waiter and it was unclear whether he forgot to put in the other apps or forgot to put in the order. Making matters worse, by the time we ordered, they were sold out of the only fish on the main menu and we weirdly got our kale salad last (after all the fish dishes). Even more weird is that when we asked about what was in the XO sauce for the scallops, the waiter explained that Chef is has Jewish roots and doesn't serve pork and his restaurants and I am quite certain that is incorrect as I have had pork in the paella at Rosaline. The drinks were tasty and well balanced, but of course we didn't get asked if we wanted another round until so late in our meal that it was too late to get another. The waiter apologized for the service failures stating that the kitchen got unexpectedly overwhelmed, but we joked around among us that this seemed weird since the restaurant looked to be at only about 50% capacity. Given all the issues, we surprised to not see any gesture of good will from the kitchen (like a comped dish or dessert or a discount on the bill). This is not a cheap restaurant and service (or lack thereof) really ruined the experience. Hopefully they figure out their service because I root for Chef Zarate's places and I love the food and relaxed but hip vibe they've created here.

Yelp
What a new hidden gem! From the outside, the hotel looks rather blase, but once you enter it, you'll be blown away by the interior courtyard, pool area, and restaurant. It truly looks like a quintessential California escape. I was interested to eat here as I'd passed the previous hotel many times and never made it to the restaurant. With the new remodel, I became more curious to check it out and finally had the opportunity to dine here. Service was great from start to finish - you can tell the staff is really trying to make a great impression! I can't recall what appetizers we ordered, but the mussels were excellent, as well as the lamb chops. Not a bad thing to say about either! The drinks were also delicious - I had the spicy mezcal based one! Go here - you'll be surprised by this place!

Yelp
This place is so cute and the vibes are on point. It's to the left of the Short Stories Hotel and they are connected. When you walk in the restaurant the walls are pink with cute decor which then opens into an outdoor courtyard area. The setup outside has a lot of greenery and there were lamps hung onto a large tree. If you're into the Insta pics, this is a spot. There was also live music! It was my sister's birthday and he played happy birthday. Drinks- they had bottomless mimosas, bloody Mary's, etc. Shakshuka - not sure if I spelled that right. It was very delicious and healthy. The perfect amount for me. It came with 2 pieces of toasted sourdough and 2 poached eggs with kristy kale. Ceviche - delicious! I couldn't get enough of it. The fish was seasoned perfectly with avocado and corn. Parking could be difficult since it's all street parking.

Yelp
It was a cute location. The tile and greenery gave it privacy with light music. The service wasn't bad but our waiter seemed ready to go. We got the bottomless mimosas and they weren't bad for the price. We all enjoyed our food and would go back.

Yelp
I felt posh just stepping in to the space. We were quickly sat in the alfresco dining area right under a tree and it really made for a magical dinner experience. Staff was extremely gracious, friendly and relaxed in a way that made the dining feel very approachable for such an upscale space. I would say this is a fun place to grab a few things and share. There were a few vegetarian options in each section for dinner. We tried quite a few items on the menu but some stand outs were the olive choclo flatbread and quinoa sesame salad. For the meat eaters they had a hard time deciding if they liked the media luna tacos or the arroz con pollo tacos best. We came to a mutual agreement that the cheesecake was an absolute star too! If you are in the area I truly feel like it is worth the stop at least for a cocktail and a light bite. I hope to be by again soon!

Yelp
Short stories is a beautiful restaurant! If you're looking for delicious unique dishes & great drink pairings this is your place! Also, the cheesecake dessert was delicious!!! The service from the staff was wonderful! 0 complaints

Yelp
We went to an event at the restaurant and it was great. We didn't get to try the whole menu which only gives us another reason to come back. We had the Hamachi to start which was great and a little spicy. That was one of the best parts, each dish had a little bit of heat which is always something I like. While it had heat, it was never too spicy. Outside of the food, the setting speaks for itself. The urban oasis feel is very unique to their part of the LA. We went when it was dark and the trees with the ornaments were great. I can't recommend this place enough and can't wait to go back.

Yelp
The vibe was amazing as was their quality of OJ and champagne for bottomless mimosas. I thought the food was was just ok but I will definitely be back!

Yelp
My boyfriend took me here for a bottomless mimosa brunch for my birthday back in December! I was pleasantly surprised with the food and great prices. This restaurant is nestled away in the courtyard of the Short Stories hotel and is such a lovely atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. I just wish the menu had a few more options on it!

Yelp
I was lucky enough to dine at this restaurant before it was open to the public, and it was AMAZING. For starters, I am allergic to both eggs and nuts, so sometimes it is hard to navigate restaurant cuisine. At Short Stories Restaurant, this was not the case. The server and chef were able to make accommodations so that I was able to enjoy everything I desired to try. The Hamachi & Ceviche were perfectly made, and good as starters before the main course. I tried the Branzino and the Arroz con Pollo as the large dishes and both were great. The Branzino was very light, seasoned well, and paired with some well-flavored beans. The Arroz con Pollo was my favorite! It came out on a sizzling hot plate, and was really tender and juicy. The rice was soft, but also crunchy from being fried and they were both perfectly seasoned. The portions for both made it shareable between two people. I also have to make note of the alcoholic beverages. The red wine was very smooth and high quality, and the drink with the mezcal and tequila was strong, yet flavored perfectly. This restaurant is perfect for a nice dinner with friends, or even date night. Special shout-out to Jessica, the manager. She is very professional and accommodating. I plan to come back again very soon!

Yelp
Had the pleasure of dining here last weekend and I have to say the food was phenomenal! Every dish that came out was exquisite. The presentation and taste were on point. The Older Fashion (not pictured) had to have been one of the best old fashions I've had in a while. The pollo on the dinner menu was DELICIOUS! The rice on that dish made the entire meal that much better. The service was great, along with the vibe and atmosphere. They were a perfect match. Definitely a great date night spot right across from the grove and farmers market. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Chef Ricardo Zarate made this place a destination to go in Los Angeles. Romantic, classic, and delicious! I tried the new dishes and they are mind-blowing! The grilled octopus, the ceviche (which you can never go wrong coming from chef Zarate), the quinoto, the tiradito, the artichoke, and the tacos were absolutely amazing! Everything was perfectly cooked and I can just imagine myself bringing my special one to eat there over and over again!!!

Yelp
Love coming here. Cute little bar top area with super friendly staff and fantastic cocktails. Food is also delicious. Definitely stop in if you pass by.

Yelp
Short Stories Restaurant is the absolute definition of a "magical hidden gem"!!! The beautiful attention to detail made for an incredible and memorable dining experience! I enjoyed the most cozy dinner beside a fireplace and under lanterns hanging from the trees in the outdoor courtyard. Now that's my idea of a perfect night!!! The food was outstanding and I can't wait to return to try the rest of the menu! Highlights were the octopus, popped artichokes, and the quinoa salad! Everything was so fresh and sourced right from the farmers market across the street. You can really taste and appreciate the quality! They do vegetables justice!!! To top off the amazing experience, the entire staff was so gracious and accommodating! Everyone was so passionate about their place of work and driven to create an amazing experience for every guest!

Yelp
Service for our Sunday brunch reservation was terrible. The host didn't acknowledge us, she was drinking a coffee and reading a script, we had to get her attention for her to so much as look at us. We are pretty low maintenance, but we actually ended up leaving to go elsewhere because our server was so rude and made it clear he didn't care to even be remotely pleasant (maybe because 20% gratuity is automatically included?). Note: the restaurant was completely dead, so being stressed/busy wasn't a factor. Bummer, but won't be back.

Emily W.

Yelp
We had a delightful experience at the bar with our wonderful bartender, Kat! The drinks were beautiful and made with skill. We enjoyed a bar snack of fries (highly recommend) and closed out with some cookies and Short Stories' take on an espresso martini (a must try on the menu!). From the black and white floors to the pink bar, you couldn't ask for a more aesthetic spot to relax and enjoy a cocktail. Hopefully you're lucky and also have Kat make your drinks!

Kelly S.

Yelp
This experience will transport you back to the glory days of Hollywood. Food and drinks are elevated seasonal dishes. Stayed in LA 4 nights and went there twice! The Sunday brunch was delicious, even featured live music! Friday night dinner a great eclectic vibe with attentive staff and perfect lighting to set the mood. :) Kelly

Yelp
I had the opportunity to come to this restaurant for a tasting ahead of it's opening and it was amazing! The ambiance is so cute and perfect for a cute girls night out dinner and intimate enough for a cute date night. The service was great all around. I went with a friend of mine who has allergies to eggs and nuts and they were very diligent about making sure that all of her items were safe to eat. They even voluntarily made a few swaps with ingredients so that she could enjoy the foods that contained allergens. The servers were attentive and even the manager came by a few times to check on us. It was great! Now onto the drinks! They were strong but tasted great and had cute presentations. I'm a sucker for a cute and tasty cocktail! tried their take on a whisky sour and their gin/sparkling wine cocktail. I believe it was called It takes Thyme? The food!!! I tried a few appetizers and all were great but my fav was their take on Hamachi! It was soooo good. For the main course we tried both the Branzino and the arroz con pollo. Both were great but my fav was the arroz con pollo. It came out on a hot skillet and was just so juicy and flavorful and the crispy rice added a unique texture to the dish. Def coming back again for that! The arroz con pollo cones with a half chicken so portion size is def good. The chicken stole my heart but the beans that were served with the Branzino deserve an honorable mention! For dessert we had a deliciously creamy cheesecake! I cannot wait to come back once it's fully open!

Yelp
I am amazed by this new spot. I saw this place driving on Fairfax. The staff is simply amazing. The food is so tasteful, it is so refreshing there was so many flavors at the same time to explore. I can't wait to go back and especially have the dish with quinoa and mushroom and the hamachi appetizer. A must go!

Yelp
Amazing New Restaurant and bar opening at Short Stories Hotel in West Hollywood. Classy and quaint with a flavor to remember. Incredible food and drinks, great ambiance, friendly staff, a step away from the beautiful short stories hotel located in the heart of LA.

Yelp
Had a beautiful evening at the charming oasis right in the center of West Hollywood. Must try the tequila mezcal cocktail along with the hamachi appetizer and mushroom quinoa. Make sure to finish with the cheesecake, it is to die for.

Yelp
Opened earlier this year and was part of the hot/new restaurants to try. I remember when this was Farmer's Daughter; The newly renovated hotel and restaurant is so chic, fun, of the now. Great location set right across from Farmers market and The Grove. I went on a Tuesday night at 7:00pm, a group of four. It was quite empty, only maybe four other tables dining but it made for a peaceful and enjoyable environment. I suggest dining outside under the large trees, it feels like you're on vacation. The interiors, decor, vibe, and ambiance is aesthetically pleasing and 'LA'. The staff was friendly and respectful. All the dishes we ordered were shareable, nicely seasoned, fresh and super delicious. There wasn't a dish we disliked. Overall, I truly enjoyed my dining experience and would recommend!

Yelp
Was staying at the hotel and we had dinner hear one night. Had a great cocktail and a burger. My partner had the salmon. We both enjoyed our meals. Great food and service. They have both inside and outside tables and the atmosphere is festive and fun without being too loud.

I had the Arugula and Yuzu Salad with Grilled Salmon... the arugula was tossed generously with figs, pine nuts, and yuzu dressing... a delicious blend. Yelp
Excellent bar bistro food across from the Grove on Fairfax avenue. I had the medium rare burger with white cheddar, romesco aioli and beautiful buns after sampling the perfectly cooked calamari with dipping sauces and the broccolini, grilled and coated with garlic bread crumbs. The bowl of seasoned frites was dauntingly large but I managed to finish every last one! My sweetie had seared salmon over an arugula, goat cheese, pine nut salad with yuzo dressing which she loved. The salmon was generous and perfectly cooked--moist and pink. The finale were two desserts we shared--a rich and luxurious dark chocolate lava cake with strawberries that oozed with flavor and a bread pudding with amazing carmelized bananas, vanilla ice cream and a rum sauce to pour over the square of pudding and ice cream. We paired our food with lively herbaceous mock tails that were a blend of tonic and complex flavors, with a sprig of rosemary. They were excellent and a great stand in for higher octane drinks. Lastly, the inside and outside seatings are beautiful. Loved the open ceiling but sat inside on a cool night. From the bartender Jeremy to the table host Cat, the service was warm, personable, and knowledgeable about the offerings, attentive but not cloying or upselling. I am from the sf Bay Area and accustomed to excellent food, drink and service at a high level. Short Stories hits the mark.

Yelp
I came here for an evening with friends. And let me tell ya, everything slapped. The food was good and the drinks were even better. Most bars don't know how to ration well but the folks here know how to keep a party going. Props to whoever was on the aux. Before I sign off, I have to shoutout Trae. She was the highlight of the evening and ensured that we were well taken care of by the servers and staff. Looking forward to coming back!

Dino M.

Yelp
Great place for lunch, it is quintessential LA and I had a great time hosting a business lunch with colleagues. The space is well thought out with a lot of privacy provided. Would be an even better place for reception or events, can't wait to go back!

Tamy C.

Yelp
This place was great. The vibe was nice and our server was Bethany. She wa super sweet. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because I think they were pretty understaffed. The food took over an hour to come out, the valet had one guy and took close to 45min. to park the car and also took another 25min. to get the car when leaving. Even upon arrival it took about 20min to be greeted and then another 10min to be seated. Then another 20min to get our water once we were seated. However, the host Trae was super super kind and her energy was infectious! I was very grateful that she was able to accommodate moving us to a table inside that was not in the Sun. You can tell she loves what she does because she was smiling the entire time and greeted each guest with such positive energy. The food was just okay and the menu options are pretty limited and they ran out of a few things like bread for the burger but this was their first week opening so I'm sure as they have this event more often and bring on more staff it will only continue to get better! Also would be super good if they had more than two bathroom stalls because the lines for the bathroom were pretty long.

Aurora Da C.

Yelp
Awesome place! We had our office Holiday Party here and it could not have been at a better place. Such a cozy atmosphere. The drinks, food, dessert were amazing. The staff as well. Made sure we were well taken care of. Loved the tree the was in the middle of where our team was sitting at. Overall it was an awesome experience. Would definitely recommend. PS the cantaloupe margarita - Sheesh BOMB! -YV
google avatar

Valentina R.

Yelp
I came with a friend and we shared the peach burrata and the roast chicken with a few drinks. The place had an amazing atmosphere and great decor -very Art Deco modern LA vibe. Food portions were small and good but not worth it for the price. I got the cantaloupe margarita and it was filled with ice which is why I deducted to 4 stars. You pay for the vibe, the good music, and for amazing and friendly service (and to get a good photo for Instagram loll). I would definitely come back for the vibes.

Yelp
Had a perfect evening here. It's hard to find a place in LA with a good vibe and good food - and well, we've finally hit the jackpot. Between the a wood burning fireplace and olive trees in the garden it's really magical - and ample space heaters is a bonus for a cold LA night. The spicy babaganoush was epic served w toasted pita. Mmmmmmmmm. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Atmosphere: This place is super cute!!I felt like I was in a scene from "midnight in Paris". The music was complimentary and the service was extremely friendly. Drinks: impeccable! I don't usually like martini esque drinks but this place got it right! Food: everything tasted amazing. You wouldn't think a quinoa salad with veggies would be anything to boast about but OMG it really was amazing. Everything we ordered was truly exceptional except for the tomahawk. I wouldn't recommend that but it didn't matter because everything else from service to drink to food to atmosphere was 100%. It's good for date night or friends night. It's got an adorable courtyard you can sit in or indoors.

Yelp
Wowaweewa this place is incredible. Came in during the soft opening and couldn't have been more surprised. Usually, when places are this beautiful the food is lacking, which couldn't be further from the truth at Short Stories restaurant. The food is honestly a10/10. Fresh, healthy, flavorful and different than every other restaurant. I loved the Crispy Ceviche, Tiradito, and Arroz Con Poyo to name a few but every dish was really good. Even the tots were excellent. I will definitely come back for drinks with friends or a great dinner out. Can't wait until they open for weekend brunch!!

Yelp
The food was so good I highly recommend anyone in the area coming in to short stories restaurant. The service was great our waitress was well informed about the menu and recommended a number of items to us. I loved the vibe it was so nice to grab a bite around such great scenery.

Yelp
Ate dinner here last night with a couple girlfriends. Sat on the beautiful patio. I brought my small dog and Trae was so nice and brought her a little doggie bed, a water bowl and even some dog treats! It was so nice. Food was good - the flavors of every dish were great. Shared 5-6 starters between 3 of us. Would definitely return.

Yelp
Came here for dinner on Friday night, and the place was dead. I was shocked actually. The space is adorable, the garden seating is romantic and quaint. There's dim lighting and well manicured trees, and a DJ Spinning mellow pool tunes. The food is spotty. We had octopus that was great, and grilled artichokes that were great. We also had fish, lamb chops, and peach-burrata salad that were meh. We also had a pistol sour and a tyme-gin cocktail that were good. Would I come back here again, probably not. Do I think you should, yes, it's acute place, why not.

Yelp
Monthly girls' brunch with former colleagues, led us to this little gem. I haven't been here since it was Farmers' Daughter and what a welcome change. Our server, Jacoby was on it. He accommodated our multiple rounds of bottomless mimosas and the food meant we didn't leave feeling drunk. Love this place. Will be back again soon.
