Great spot for dancing on a Saturday evening! It was busy but still had plenty of space to move and enjoy the music. Thankfully, our friend in the hospitality industry helped us with the reservation, as the doormen seemed quite strict. The music was solid, and our server made it easy to order drinks all night. Table service was definitely a plus. We’d absolutely come back to dance again!

This place is ridiculous, my group and I had a reservation for 5 people. They seated us at a 3 person table so we obviously did not fit nor did we feel comfortable. We then asked if we could move to a larger table, and we were moved across from where we were. Not even 20 minutes later we got kicked out of the table back to our original table for a group of not even joking THREE people who were seated at a 5+ table. We asked why and management said that specific table was reserved so we asked how could a specific table be reserved? And they had no answer… pretty disappointing experience given the price point. Not worth it. Horrendous customer service and zero respect. Atmosphere is nice and has a lot of potential but clearly this place needs to work on better management and how to correctly seat people. Do not recommend.

Bouncers let us wait.. saying there was a wait list. We were a group of four people and the only ones in line. They were rude, unaccommodating. Eventually we left and went to a bar around the corner. For the business owner- no need to be rude! Don’t got there unless you want to deal with nasty attitude! Go to Beyond the Pale bar instead!

Absolutely Disgusting Racist Behavior – Avoid This Place at All Costs! If I could give zero stars, I would. The Mulberry is blatantly racist. My friends and I ( people of color) were denied entry despite having tickets and knowing someone inside. Meanwhile, white people were being let in with no issues, no questions asked. We were given no reason for being turned away. None. Just a rude dismissal and an obvious look that said it all. The bouncer (see photo) was unapologetically discriminatory and made it very clear who they did and didn’t want inside. This isn’t just bad service. This is overt racism, and it’s unacceptable. We will be filing a formal report. No one should support a venue that practices this kind of disgusting gatekeeping in 2025. Do better , or better yet, shut down. Bouncer said his name was Eddie FYI.

Told my sneakers weren’t acceptable (despite being clean and appropriate) even though security guard was wearing black converse. Honestly don’t know what the hype is about considering it’s giving the energy of a typical LA bar. Definitely better bars around the area with similar ambiance and way less elitist atmosphere. Maybe that’s your thing but for anyone visiting NYC, make sure you wear the appropriate shoes!

Waited in line an hour. Some guy came up tried to cut the line and then got in a physical fight with the other patrons. Ran away. The bouncer pretended he was a different person when he returned and welcomed him in. Super sketchy place don’t go.

Cute venue but disappointing experience. The night began with a bizarre comment from the bouncer who, after letting me in, told me “don’t wear that next time.” For reference, I was wearing an outfit that was entirely appropriate and on par with the other guests. Still hoping to enjoy myself, I headed downstairs for a drink with a friend. I asked the bartender for a recommendation. He scoffed, “I only drink martinis,” as though that somehow made him incapable of helping. I ordered a cocktail anyway — “Not that one,” he responded. The drink I ended up with? Made incorrectly. And it cost $30. The whole place feels like it’s trying very hard to be cool, but instead comes off as cold, performative, and unwelcoming. I left quickly. There are too many great bars in this city to waste your time (or your money) here.

No line to get in. We were told to wait . We waited 20 min. Then a couple got in before us Just because the bouncer felt like it. Regardless, if you want to avoid nasty attitude on the way in. Avoid this place.

Drinks were good but I think the price point was high for what we got. The space was cute but didn't feel as elevated as pictures made it look. If I went again I'd go later in the night, probably after 11 pm.

Great place to grab drinks and sit cozy with your friends and family. Glad to bring my family here. It does get loud when busy of course since it is a small and intimate place, but that did not stop me from enjoying the experience. I went here for drinks before dinner, so I would say that is the best time.

Cute cocktail bar with disco vibes. The interior is decorated nicely with colorful cushions and fun wallpaper. The drinks were great and bartenders were friendly. Around 10 a DJ comes and the dance party begins. It doesn't really matter what day of the week you come, it's bound to be a vibe.

So loud, just so loud. Too many people, big backs elbowing you every second . DJ's transitions were inspired by Helen Keller. Drinks are $30 and only ice. Go here if you want to be miserable and overstimulated. It's a great place to punish an enemy. - +1 star for chill bouncer

Pretentious. As we walked up, two guys were being turned away. They were asked if they had a reservation, they said no and were turned away by the guy working the "magic red rope". We walked up just as they were leaving - we were also asked if we had reservations - we didn't. The guy working the door said, "just two"? That we were... the bouncer checked our ID's and off we went down the stairs. We walked into a nice but average looking space with a bar to the right and small, 2-seater tables to the left. In the back, there is a small room with a handful more tables, some a little larger. If they let you in without a reservation, you will be standing. Even if there are empty tables. Next up, the drinks. Overpriced for average crafted cocktails. We ordered a New York Sour which was pretty good, but absolutely not worth a $23 price tag. We also ordered a Negroni Bianco. I'm still trying to figure out what ingredients the bartender used. One thing I can say is, there's absolutely no chance he used the correct ingredients for this cocktail, or ingredients that even go into a cocktail. So bad, between two of us, we drank about 1/3rd of the cocktail and left. The cocktail at the least, should have been drinkable - it was not. With that, trust your gut (and mine) - go to Bar Pisellino if you want a Negroni Bianco. The Mulberry is trying extra hard, but it's not going very far. They can't even pass it off that you're paying for the view. There are no windows - you're in a basement.

Great bar - awesome ambiance and OK service. Hard to discern from the outside, but loved the chic interior. Ordered the martini and loved it. Definitely come with a reservation.

I've never been to a place that blatantly was so bad. I feel bad to tell my kids racism still exits but that's what we experienced. The door man was such a cold hearted human that I have no words for. I only hope he finds happiness.

Bartenders with big attitudes and they had the nerve to select their own tip amount. The drinks were mediocre to say the least. The vibe was pretentious and most people tried to be so cool. Never again !!!!!

No shorts dress code in 95 degree humidity, yeah you're not that special and this isn't the 1950s anymore people

Richard the manager with short man syndrome was a complete a-hole to my friends and I. He looked like an angry little toddler that got his candy taken away. What a freak. Doorman also examined my very real ID for uncomfortably long then gave me a nasty look as I entered. Never coming back here again. Strongly advise you to never try this place out.

Abusive doormen. Physically handled; complete disrespect. I went out to support a friend. The venue is in a basement accessed by an outdoor staircase. It was a rainy, windy, cold night and no one but the bouncer at the door to tell me to wait in the rain. He aggressed with the point that he had to wait in the rain, too. After 5 minutes (no line whatsoever), the doorman finally came up and told me I was causing problems (I did no more than have an adult conversation), and the bouncer then physically handled me. More gaslighting, then denied entry by the doorman. I did not fight that decision. I left. I was not able to support my friend at the event to which I was invited. Do not go.

the door man were the rudest most racist people I have ever met . they let countless friends and ignored us even after we waited 30 min. I don't know if it because we were Canadian or Indian , none the less it was not right and it's unfortunate as tourist we were so excited to go out in NYC

Reservations are only good for an hour and 15 minutes. Staff was very rude. They gave us another $30 cocktail with 15 minutes to drink it before rushing us out. Very expensive, staff is rude, and they overbook the space.

Service was terrible. Go somewhere else. My friends and I went there in a group of 6 and it took 45 mins for our first round of drinks.

Richard (which is apparently short for D*CK) the manager. SHORT, just like this mans height, though unfortunately he had an ego much taller than himself. Came for some drinks and it took 15 minutes to order and 10 more to receive. The Mulberry has a lot of potential, with a great ambiance and solid music, but unfortunately, our experience was tainted by poor customer service. The manager was rude, unaccompanied by any other staff to support his behavior, and made it clear he had no interest in accommodating us. Despite the fact that a party nearby was more than happy to welcome us to some available seats, he refused to let us sit there and went as far as to remove the chair from the table entirely. When we asked for an explanation, his response was simply, "I'm the manager, and I run the place," as if that somehow justified his rude actions. The atmosphere was nice, but the negative energy and lack of hospitality completely overshadowed it. If you're into bad attitudes and feeling unwelcome, this is the place for you. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would

The worst experience I've ever had at an NYC bar and that's just from waiting outside. The bouncers are ridiculous. We waited for an hour and left after they pulled two girls from the back of the line with no reservation, after being strict and denying walk ups for an hour. Wish I could give this place a 0.

Ambiance is incredible. DJ set was superb. But I felt second-hand embarrassment watching the bartenders and management; I've never seen a team so DESPERATE to maintain an air of exclusivity..it's kind of adorable actually

My friends love being here because it's new in our neighborhood. But that door person named Cindy doesn't belong there Unless you want a frowning, unwelcoming and totally rude person greeting your local costumers. I don't care going back there, I'll meet everyone at Sant Ambreous this summer. Find someone who's actually pretty and nice at the door. You'll lose costumers with this kind of behavior. The negative vibes gives it a dive bar feel rather than an it spot in soho.

Wow what a terrible bar. To start, extremely elementary choice of cocktails/spirits/wine. Very little creativity in their cocktails and they really only carry big mainstream brands. Worst part of this experience was the bartenders..... extremely rude and pretentious as if he knew everything about wine. Best part of this visit? The bouncer was friendly lol

Went here for drinks tonight. Order 3 drinks, and it was 99$. They give you the bill on a keypad and don't show you the breakdown - so I could not see that they already included the tip. I watched the bar tender set the tip to 22% and then changed it to 20%. After seeing the total on my credit card bill I saw that they included tip before I even got to add gratuity. This place is a gross basement. And fuck the establishment for taking advantage of the customers. Trash

I was told by the dj to move because he said my friend and I were uninspiring. His playlist was bland to say the least, whatever he was playing did not need much inspiration. It was like unseasoned chicken, much like him.

The Mulberry is a really cool bar with a speakeasy vibe. Be prepared to be asked for your reservation if you try to just walk in. Took a while for the bartender to recognize that my friend and me had been waiting to order for 10+ min. The drinks were great.
