Best ribs I've had in Seattle. They're moist and juicy. They put the sauce on the side. The first time I went there the owner said I'll be back, and he was right.

Ribs, pulled pork and mac&cheese to die for. Never expected to find real southern comfort flavor in Seattle. 5 stars land short of my rating.

when you try a new restaurant, you want it to be good right ? unfortunately this place fell woefully short on several levels. person at window acted like it was an inconvenience to take our order. more over bbq was just not very good, neither ribs nor brisket had much flavor and they were out of pork so who would know about that. sauce was also very bland. sorry to say this was our one and only trip here.

Got the chopped brisket sandwich. the sauce was kinda tomato-ey but it worked really well. best brisket I’ve had in Seattle so far (I’m not an expert, grain of salt, etc) the baked beans were rich in brown sugar, I enjoyed every last bite. they were out of mac n cheese which was my first choice. guess I’ll have to come back. the owner and the young woman working there were both very friendly and I will certainly recommend to everyone I know.

One of my all time favorite BBQ place, very lovely people (Pookey is really fun), and mouth watering, melt in your mouth ribs... the whole slab gives you the best bang for your buck ($27 including tax) if you have 2-3 people or more, it’s got a lot of ribs and tips. Cash only.

"Best Ribs in Seattle!" - I anxiously and happily make the drive -- some 140 miles from Vancouver, BC to Seattle Washington -- to have Pookey's delicious mouth watering, wood-fired, slowly smoked ribs with lots of barbeque sauce at the Barbeque Pit. The collard greens are simply delicious. And, I love the beans! I even bring back ribs back for friends at home. I can't say enough about the food and the quality of human being that he is. When I met him about 6 years ago, his main concern was giving back to the community and not charging so much that people in the community would not have access to an affordable, quality meal. I find this admirable, especially, in a world of big box stores and impersonal fast food chains. Thank you Pookey for your craft and art!
