The Bean Café is a cornerstone of the Las Cruces coffee and café scene, celebrated for its relaxed atmosphere and thoughtful vegan options. With locally roasted beans and a menu that highlights both classic and inventive plant-based fare (think breakfast burritos with vegan sausage and house-made pastries), it’s a go-to for those seeking a laid-back brunch or lunch. The café’s strong ties to the local arts community are evident in its rotating gallery exhibits and collaborative events. Multiple sources, including Condé Nast Traveler and NM Magazine, highlight The Bean as a must-visit for vegans and vegetarians, with particular praise for its community-driven ethos and reliably delicious menu.
Darling little coffee shop in central Las Cruces, NM. Excellent tasting coffee and tea and a nice selection of breakfast foods to get the day started. Friendly staff, chill vibes, nice place. Highly recommended.

This cafe is the CUTEST! we were passing through on a road trip from ATX to CA and finding this place was like finding gold. This will forever be one of our permanent stops when passing through Las Cruces. The coffee was great, the vibe was amazing and it’s just what we needed ♥️

Spent ten weeks on the road throughout the southwest and this is probably my favorite coffee shop from the whole trip. Their toast is delicious, the yogurt and granola is a bounty, and the oatchata latte is fantastic. Can't recommend this place enough.

Beautiful little coffee shop, great energy. The blueberry muffin was so good and filled with whole blueberries. I'd recommend the honey lavender coffee!! Inside the café was nice and cozy. They had a nice patio area where there was shade early AM. They have good parking and bike racks. Must go!

I visited last year while on vacation in New Mexico. This was a quant coffee shop. I loved the atmosphere - with all the stained glass it was bright and airy in here. I had an iced latte that was very good.

Very accessible to bikes- large bike community. It was very crowded, which slowed down the morning. But they were aware it took longer and offered accommodation which was very kind. No indoor ac, plenty outdoor seating. Strong wifi.

I am not a coffee connoisseur, so this is a biased review.
Food is good but expensive.
I just get house coffee.
Very nice and relaxed atmosphere.
I've always thought service was slow, but staff is very pleasant.

I stopped because it looked like just my kind of place… and it was! I got the specialty latte made with oat milk and a gluten-free scone. The scone was giant and tasty and the latte was super delicious, creamy, and very satisfying for a beautiful fall day. i’ll definitely make this part of my regular routine while visiting my folks in Mesilla every time now :-)
