"Housed in a space that was once an actual beauty shop frequented by Priscilla Presley, this eatery from celebrated Memphis restaurateur Karen Carrier has maintained some of the aesthetics from its former life. Booths are tucked into salon stations, with seating beneath hooded Belvedere hair dryers. Beyond the vibes, the food is worth a visit too. Check out the Watermelon and Wings: chicken wings dipped in white Sichuan pepper and sweet chile lime juice, dusted with sugar, and then deep-fried, served with a side of fresh watermelon and sprinkled with toasted cashews." - Andy Meek, Jackie Gutierrez-Jones

Wow! Brunch did not disappoint! Bacon eggs Benedict and the (lots of letters I don't remember 🙃) BLT with arugula, avocado, fried green tomato - fantastic! Packed half of my sandwich so I could have dessert. The chocolate meringue pie was out of this world with a chocolate base that the rich consistency of fudge. We will definitely be back!!

The decor is quite nice - like a 1960's beauty shop with glass walls between the booths. The menu is unique and intriguing. The portions are small and so I recommend you select an appetizer as well as the entree. They may have a children's menu but we did not need nor ask for one. I would not bring young children here based on the price alone. We had the Peach and Pork, Cucumber salad and dessert. There was a lot of time between ordering and food delivery I suspect because the food required more extensive preparation. We passed the time with the Monkey Bread appetizer for the table. The desserts were good and topped off the meal nicely.

Came here for lunch break with a friend. The weather was perfect to sit on their patio. Food was amazing and service was great! The pears were so yummy and the size of the BLT was enough to bring 1/2 home for later. Ended with the red velvet cake that’s to die for! All was delicious and our server was so attentive and very friendly. Much needed break from a hectic work day.

My husband and loooveeeddd this Valentine's Day menu. I had fish. My husband had pasta. Now, as a woman, after eating my food, I had to taste his food. My food was great, but his was perfect. The pasta was so good you could taste every herb. Chef kiss. The way the Lime and Cilantro hit my palette was perfect. The Beauty Shop is now in my top 5. Thank you for a great night.

We had a really nice brunch here. Both the chicken and waffles and the shrimp and grits were terrific. Prompt and friendly service. Highly recommend.

The eggplant appetizer is so delicious with pomegranate seeds and 2 sauces. The corn that came with the duck was the best corn ever. Cocktails are great.

I genuinely enjoyed my time in this restaurant. We were late arriving at 9.30pm but everyone made us welcome and didn't rush us. The food was delicious, the staff were warm, the venue is fun, I'd happily go back.

We came for lunch on a Friday for my wife’s birthday. Everything was perfect and our server Joy was phenomenal. Lunch prices are so not bad at all. We had the warm salad and the BLFGT&A sandwich, the Beautini drink, and nutella gelato and all was delicious. Awesome atmosphere. Our first time here and we will be returning. Definitely make a reservation.

Yelp
The Beauty Shop Restaurant is a local Memphis, Tennessee favorite and the brain child of Memphis-native Karen Blockman Carrier. Of course, no simple décor would suit as the backdrop for her creative cuisine. This hip restaurant is located in the heart of the Cooper-Young Entertainment District in a former 1940s-style beauty shop. The original hair dryers add to the ambiance and the glass-bricked booths give fun and funky seating for groups of 4-6. "Look Good. Eat Good." are the words emblazoned on the front windows at the Beauty Shop One of the best parts of eating at Beauty Shop is that you're eating in a building that used to be an actual beauty shop - Priscilla Presley used to have her beehive hairdos here and was her curl-and-dye spot. It's a camp wonderland where the façade is Jetsons-era Vitrolite, and choice seating is offered beneath hooded Belvedere hair dryers (there is an actual week out waiting list for this choice seating . There are all kinds of cool salon details - the hair-washing sinks at the bar, the hairdryer chairs, the booths tucked into the old salon stations, the huge curved mirror that the daily specials are written on. The other best part is the absolutely delicious food! The Beauty Shop has an eclectic menu, filled with interpretations of classic dishes influenced by international cuisine. And they serve a brunch, dinner, and an underrated lunch. The menu has a down home American stance with world-beat tints and edges. While the atmosphere and swanky vibe always draw me in, it's this creative food that has The Beauty Shop is on every best-of, bucket list, must-visit list in town, including my own personal list of Memphis restaurant favorites.

Yelp
Came in for dinner right at 5pm, so the place was totally empty, but the vibe is very cool. Service was absolutely perfect, fast and very friendly. I opted for the Please Plz Plz and then the Beautini. Both were good and not too sweet, but fairly simple. It feels like they're missing just a dash of creativity to take the drinks to the next level. For food, the grilled peaches are unbelievable. The blue cheese and balsamic??? Perfection. The eggplant was also excellent, no notes. The only one that didn't quite hit right was the carnitas. The meat was tender but also very very crispy (on the verge of burnt) and a bit sweet, which is not what I think of for carnitas. And then the sauce was just sweet on sweet... It just didn't all work for me. Not bad, just meh. That being said, I'll come back and try some more of the menu for sure! There were so many things that looked good.

Terry J.

Yelp
I had a hard time deciding whether I wanted to rate this as a 3 star or a 4. But once I started considering everything, I went with 4. The service was wonderful. That is the part of your dining experience that can make or break it all. It was all pleasing to the eye as well. Very pretty and lots of light. I'm not one that cares for a dark dining experience. The cocktails were yummy. Enough to make me try 2 different ones. But not amazing to me. They had some good options tho and I always appreciate that. I'm just not big on sweet and that's hard to find a cocktail when they're mostly all sweet. The prices were a bit high for me for the portions. We didn't leave hungry but felt like we could have eaten a bit more. I do love their effort in matching different flavors that most would never think would work. But I do feel some of it was hit or miss. Not that they didn't pair well, but more like, I could have had MORE sauce or more of something. The absolute best dish to me were the grilled peaches. I would go again, to meet with girlfriends... but I don't see myself choosing this place when I'm hungry. It's more of a drinking, grazing, beautiful place.

Jessica F.

Yelp
I've been here twice, and I have not been disappointed yet. I will say that for brunch, if you don't have a reservation, you might get a seat at the bar. It is not the fastest service, but that's what we get for not making a reservation. If you are from Cali or been in SoCal for a while you know chilaquiles are life, and these are very similar to what you get in San Diego. I will be back for more drinks and food.

Alison M.

Yelp
Wow! I found this on a "Must Try" list and I'm so glad we came. Not only is the menu excellent with some delicious Asian-inspired fare, but the service was top-notch and the ambiance is amazing. True to the name, it has a beauty shop theme in the back with three or four cute tables with a vintage hair dryer you can sit under. I snagged the last open one and was so happy! This is a chic place with a great menu and friendly and helpful servers. I started with a Thai iced coffee - yum! We tried the fried Thai-style dumplings and there were four of them, good sized for an appetizer, they were fresh and warm and had a delicious sauce on top (not too much, just a drizzle). Hubs loves pizza and grilled cheese so when he saw they have a grilled cheese of the day he ordered that with their house-made chips. His grilled cheese had bacon and a fruit jam and was perfectly salty and sweet. The house chips were crisp and yummy. I had the grain bowl with loads of veggies, mango, slaw, avocado, egg, cilantro, etc. I added jerk chicken. Yum! It was filling and delish. Hubs saw the Jewish side of the menu with the rye bread and had to have the Oy Vey fries with cheese, scallions and pastrami. These were very good but very filling as they're large streak fries. Super heavy. I had a matcha pistachio gelato before we left and it was SO good. Loaded to the brim is pistachio, probably too many, but flavorful and great texture. They had a huge menu for dessert. I loved this spot. In a cute part of town with other shops on a two-three block walk, parallel parking or pay parking lots where you can use and app and plenty to see and do. They have breakfast, lunch and dinner. A real gem.

Yelp
As cute as this restaurant is, and as nice as the servers are, the food is even better! Fresh, beautifully served, would definitely recommend!

Nisha L.

Yelp
I love the decor and the theme. Everything about this spot is eye catching and feels like you've stepped into a Time Machine. The food was good and service was quick & friendly. The jerk Jamaican fish sandwich was really good and unique & I had fruit as the side. I loved that they had watermelon and in abundance & berries. My auntie had the chicken sandwich & did say she'd have preferred to have more meat than arugula so it was a little unfulfilling. Also had the beignets and they were delicious with the strawberry jam/syrup. Would definitely be back and a great place to take a friend

Jen C.

Yelp
Cute place with really interesting food that unfortunately tasted boring. The dishes all had the vibe of trying to do too much, and ending up doing nothing well.

Maridyth N.

Yelp
I was here for dinner with a large group of co-workers and had a great experience! This used to be a beauty shop back in the day, and Priscilla Presley herself used to frequent it. The hair dryers are still there! It's super cute and cozy. We were greeted by our super friendly server once we were seated. For my meal, I ordered the Steak Frites which is bacon wrapped filet mignon and served with house-cut fries. The food came out pretty quickly, was presented well, and was so flavorful! For dessert, I had to order the Coconut Cake. I'm so glad I did, because it was so yummy! Overall, this is a great place! The food is good, our server was amazing, the ambiance is the coolest thing ever, and there's a couple of parking lots nearby. I'd definitely visit again!

Megan J.

Yelp
The grilled romaine salad with shrimp is THE BEST salad I have ever tasted in my life! I was visting from out of town and didn't know what to expect or where to go. This place was a short walk from where I was staying and now I go every single time I'm back! I would love to try the rest of the menu but the salad is too good to walk away from!

Deborah J.

Yelp
The food was awesome kind of pricey place was small no parking for this restaurant. You had to find a parking space out on the street service was great. Had to wait a minute to get a table but when we got it, we got a booth of six or number of items, soup of the day ball soup Was delicious. Taste like chicken noodle soup without the noodles the Wagyu beef truffle fries and potato chips. Some ordered the market grill with asparagus squash, peppers, corn, and another one with the sliced steak. Food was right. Very tasty. The ambience was very amazing when you walk into the restaurant, they have a wet bar beautiful got the dryers that you can sit up under very exciting experience lunch time we went was about one and they close at two and open back at five .

Natasha M.

Yelp
The Galentine's Dinner menu was quite exquisite. My 16 friends had a wonderful time and there was enough diversity to suit our vegan friends and those seeking other options. The servers were very attentive by anticipating our needs. The food was very flavorful and each bite was delicious.

Carolina S.

Yelp
A little taste of Memphis heaven! This is one of my absolute favorites in Memphis, so I knew I had to make a reservation in advance. The food here is fantastic, the presentation is on point and the staff are rockstars (not literally but maybe literally, it is a music town). I loved the hair salon elements of course, I am a girly girl who adores the kitsch. If that's you, inside or out...this it your place. My boyfriend likes it when I am happy so we are all happy. So he was more than happy to come with and stuff our faces. We have embraced the rich life here with our taste buds and love for the fried goodies. I most definitely wanted to try the corn fritters and we also did the manchego, parmesan and ricotta dumplings. A decadent way to start the meal. The menu here is always fun with some seasonal and local elements. We also went similar routes with coffee cocktails. Nick got the the frozen Irish coffee and I went for the Rancho Espresso Martini, 1400 migos reposado, kahlua and cold brew. Both were absolutely a treat, strong and got the job done. My bf got the burger with all the add on's, gruyere, avocado, grilled onions and an egg! They should just make the burger option of "the Works". He loved it. The tin cup of fries was "giving". I stole a fair amount that did not have burger juices (I'm pescatarian). I ordered the Shrimp and Grits. Oh mama! I love southern food and the intense flavors that you just can't find anywhere else. A perfect dish! Shrimp with the cheesy grits and the juice was stick your ribs goodness. And even though our belts were struggling, we still ordered beignets. They came with cute little sugar skull plates. I would have wanted these fluffier but it was still good. I was definitely done after that last bite. There was a credit card mix up but our waitress chased us down and we were able to clear it up. Somehow they returned the wrong card to me. Thankfully it was sorted and I left with my card. Looooove this place so much. Word on the street is Priscilla used to get her hair done here. And that it the epitome of cool and also gets us in the mood for the upcoming film.

César C.

Yelp
Definitely a must visit! The food was amazing, the Chicken & Waffles were delicious. The service was fast and super friendly. We took our dogs and were able to sit outside which was nice. Even if you sit outside it's worth going inside even if briefly to check out the "beauty shop" themed seating, it looks really cool and unique.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this spot in Memphis while I was in town for the day and wow was it a great experience! The concept of this restaurant is super cool and unique and it's a great spot to bring friends for dinner/brunch or if you just wanna have a few drinks at the bar! I came in with a friend during the late afternoon with a friend to grab a quick drink and we quickly sat down at the bar and were greeted warmly by the bartender. She provided great service and answered any questions we had! I settled on getting the New Orleans Special cocktail since I am a fan of gin & tequila and it was refreshing and strong! It was a delicious drink that I would order again for sure! My friend also enjoyed his drink and he got the Bittersweet Sunset and he said he would order it when he stops by again! Looking at their food menu, everything sounds unique and delicious as they have a variety of fusion dishes to choose from. I am for sure gonna order some food the next time I drop by as it looked quite good as the servers brought out food to the bar area. The décor of this restaurant is super unique and I found out that the space was a salon before it got turned into a restaurant so all the overall design takes notes from that and the general vibe was uplifting and fun! At night, I'm sure it gets packed and I can't wait to come back again in the future to try the food! Give this spot a try if you are in Memphis! It's a great restaurant to check out if you want to get away from the Downtown Memphis area and want to check out something unique!

Yelp
In the decade I have been visiting this restaurant, I've never had bad food ever. I've never had bad service ever. I only had one cocktail made wrong, and they fixed it immediately. I love the decor, the intimate size of the restaurant, and the servers are second to none. The menu rotates with local and seasonal fare as well as their favorites. Think Frenchish immigrant rockabilly farmer and that's what you're getting. Portions, styling, quality of meats and produce, etc. Of course the beauty shop is deemed such because it was a beauty shop, and you will see the blue hair dryer in the center of the restaurant and that is supposedly the one that Priscilla Presley used. I don't know if it's true, but it's cute. I will say the booths are very narrow for seating. If you're tall or not especially slender I would suggest a table and chair. The location is great, and there are a couple of parking lots nearby. There is one next door that suggests paying $5 or you will be towed. Apparently they don't tow anyone, so don't take my word for it and park at your own risk.

Jesined C.

Yelp
This spot in Memphis, Tennessee is a must go to! The concept of the restaurant revolves around a beauty shop, due to the fact that the restaurant used to be a salon. Super cute if you're looking to brunch with friends! To drink I recommend the shake baby shake, which is a frozen Irish coffee with Jameson and almond milk. To eat I had originally ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes but unfortunately they were out. So I went for the challah cinnamon French toast which was coated with a cinnamon sugar dust. My husband had the steak and eggs which I obviously had to have a bite of. The steak was cooked medium just how he requested. It was seasoned perfectly. The best part was the truffled Parmesan fries. I ate every single one without hesitation, even though I was stuffed. Overall the service was great, our server was extremely attentive and kind. I highly suggest you check this restaurant out. There are a couple of bars walking distance where you can hop around after brunch here. Very convenient!!

Jim S.

Yelp
Food is top notch as per usual Service was on point as per usual Ambiance is always lovely

Dederick A.

Yelp
Food was great! The restaurant is so fun and eclectic! Drinks are smooth but strong. Service was nice, be sure to be patient with your server because they make sure the food is perfect!

Ben F.

Yelp
It was good. The sauce and crab were even sweeter than I expected. Good as a salad, but you need a main course too.

Sherman W.

Yelp
This place is fun and the food is delicious. If you have friends coming in from out of town you should definitely take them here. The brunch menu is great but any day you go will be just as good.

Deanna S.

Yelp
I loved the nostalgia of the old hair dryers and the seating was intimate enough for a small group to be able to carry on conversation. The food was really flavorful, my only complaint is I wish they served bigger portions. I would definitely come back. Jacob our waiter was amazing as well.

Ty M.

Yelp
Last night was my second visit to this establishment. I wish I could say it was fantastic, especially for $120+, but I just can't. The atmosphere is fun, even if the bar area makes absolutely no sense. Service is a tad bit haughty, especially at the hostess stand. Our waitress spoke so softly that we strained to hear her. We started with the Hawaiian Tuna Agua Chile. It is the tiniest portion ever. I took one small bite and it was way too fishy tasting. This is ALWAYS a bad sign. We also ordered the Romanesca Cauliflower, which was good. Much of the rest of what we ordered suffered from lack of seasoning. My husband liked his crispy duck, but he said the sides were virtually tasteless. What saved this entire experience for us was dessert. My husband had the chocolate meringue pie, which was a feast for the eyes, as well as the tastebuds. I adore coconut cake, and the Beauty Shops' rendition may well be the only reason I would return. The frosting on this cake is Italian meringue, which elevates this already delicious cake to downright heavenly. Now, on to that added gratuity. This is just insulting, especially for a party of two. I typically refuse to support establishments that do this. Our service was efficient, just not overly friendly. Even at that, my husband usually tips at least 25%, so it was their loss. Would I return? Possibly, it just doesn't go on my list of favorites.

Steve C.

Yelp
It's been a while since I've been here, still a cool place to have a great meal. I sat at the bar and service, fr the bartender was excellent. For this lunch, I had the Jamaican jerk fish sandwich, and in one word... Outstanding! Lots of flavors going on in the sandwich, all of them good! The only thing I would change about the sandwich is that the bread it's served on was ever so slightly toasted - it almost resembled and tasted like stale bread. I would suggest butter the bread and put it on the flat top in order to get a good grill on the bread. I also ordered a side of fries, and they were very good although I would prefer them a little thicker. Warning: they do charge a 20% service/gratuity fee on everything no matter the size of your party. I was not told this, but noticed it on the menu prior to ordering. I would've tipped 20% for the service I received today anyway, but I don't like being forced to pay a 20% tip.

William R.

Yelp
Beauty Shop has wonderfully delicious food an drink as well as decor! Our waitress, Melanie was very attentive and courteous!!! She made my wife feel so good on her birthday! Would recommend to all that want a classy meal at a decent price!

Bobby P.

Yelp
We recently visited The Beauty Shop for lunch and enjoyed the eclectic atmosphere so much! The menu is full of your favorites...with a twist! There's a great bar with cocktails ...and mocktails so you can return to work without the risk of losing your job! The Jamaican fish sandwich was delicious, but loved the chicken and biscuits even more! Yum!!

Francie S.

Yelp
One of the best meals I've ever had! The soup was delicious and homemade. The shrimp tempura was light and tasty. Atmosphere is fun and has a great vibe. Our waiter was attentive. Just a great over all evening.

Jeannie M.

Yelp
Enjoy a fabulous brunch and Bloody Mary! Definitely will return anytime we are in the area.

Ellie F.

Yelp
You must come here for Sunday brunch! I had the best steak of my life here, with the steak and eggs. I also recommend the pork & peach eggs Benedict, the Jamaican fish club sandwich, and the sesame chicken biscuit sandwiches. Their drinks are also unique and delicious. Make a reservation a couple weeks ahead of time, or else you may have a long wait!

Caitlin B.

Yelp
Long wait on food , but everyone loved it once it finally came out . Service was good , server was very friendly and accommodating! Steak was a little over cooked for my liking but not enough to send back ... next time I will ask for it rare instead of medium rare. Overall a good experience!

Jen B.

Yelp
I so wanted to love this more than I did, but that's partially our fault. We went for some chicken and waffles that we saw photos of and had no idea it's a totallllllllly different menu for dinner. Just know that going in. Dinner is much, much fancier and that's okay. We just didn't know. This place is cute and has a fun vibe. I like how upscale it is at night as well. We got the brussel sprouts and a few drinks and they were yummy.

Chelsea S.

Yelp
SO good! this place is more than it's innovative design. a transformed beauty salon turned restaurant with delicious food, how could we not looove it? first, we shared so many appetizers from the mushrooms which were prepared in such a unique way with a meatier texture and wonderful flavor to the monkey bread which was really fluffy and buttery. the table also shared the adult lunchables and shrimp, and by the looks of the empty plates at the end, they loved it all. i ordered the lamb chops which were so divine. they were prepared with their own sweet and aromatic sauce over a bed of potatoes and goat cheese (i believe) it was SO yummy! the sweet and spicy fries were also a treat but i could have done without if i realized the lamb came with so many potatoes. the cake was also tasty! our server was cool and attentive. she also assured me that i was making the right food choices, which is nice when you're at a new restaurant. i'm obsessed with the decor in this place! they have actual hair dryer seats as dining chair options and chandeliers that are exquisite!

Sandi D.

Yelp
Delicious and great service! Loved the vibe! Can't wait to return someday. :) made a memorable trip...

Rebecca H.

Yelp
This place is fantastic! From the decor to the service to the food! It's all just so impressive! It's an eclectic cozy environment. Super cool staff who were extremely attentive! I was in town for a show and found this place here on Yelp. It looked fun and interesting and it did not disappoint! Even though it was a Sunday and they were slammed we didn't wait to be seated at all. Our server was funny and kept us in water until our food arrived. It was a longer than normal wait on the food but it was totally worth it! They served some of the best breakfast food I've had in quite a long time! If ever in Memphis definitely stop in and enjoy!

natasha d.

Yelp
The atmosphere is so cool here! The food was great, and the service was too notch! Highly recommend

Holly W.

Yelp
While delving into my Memphis trip I stumbled upon Beauty Shop information. I read that Priscilla Presley used to have her hair done here and about the interesting left over beauty shop interior that adds to an interesting eating experience. True or not it made it to my list of places to eat while in town and I checked it off the list! Beauty shop has a great concept! The rear of the shop is a slightly modern touch to a reclaimed beauty shop from the earlier days. Hair dryers, glass boxes, mirrors, etc... I absolutely love this idea. The front of the restaurant though has a bit of an identity crisis with some African decor, think safari esqu type items that made me just ponder what is happening here? We were seated at an old hairdressers station, we were a party of 4 adults, one child. It is a little snug in these tables. I can share the drinks are over priced and the menu is not for everyone. It's a little fancy, even with the staples like a grilled cheese has a twist, they added fig! My step-father and daughter struggled with menu choices. I immediately knew I wanted the steak salad! I was not disappointed! What's inside: avocado, tzatziki, bulgarian feta, za'atar, candied garlic chips & warm pita. Something in this just made my taste buds rejoice! I still think about how delicious this salad was. FYI- I am not a salad connoisseur but this salad was just memorable. My 10 year old had a grilled cheese, the cheese was not gooey but hard. I did have my mother's fig grilled cheese and it was DELICIOUS!! Where else does Beauty Shop not hit the beauty mark? Our waitress was not top notch. It took her forever to take our order and I felt like we were talking different languages. It was a long wait for our food and the place was not packed. Food rating: 4 stars

Nicole D.

Yelp
We were worried about being rude coming in so close to closing time but Leanna didn't bat an eye! She was extremely friendly our drinks were tasty too! We got the corn fritters AMAZE-BALLS they should call them they were really great! We split the roasted beef sandwich and had the truffle fries. We were not very impressed. Loved the vibe of h this funky little place. When I come back to Memphis, will definitely go back!!

Yelp
FATHER's DAY DISAPPOINTMENT: The Beauty Shop has been our Fathers Day tradition for the past 8 years. Today will probably be our last. Made reservations for 7 people so we sat at the long table in the bar in early afternoon so not extremely busy. 1. The service was terrible. We had to ask our server for everything and she did not come check on us once. She seemed put off when we did ask her for basic things like water refills, ice etc. The food portions were small. 2. The shrimp tacos (16$) included one shrimp per taco. We understand that food costs and are happy to pay for quality food but 2 shrimp, 2 corn tortillas for 16$. Really? 3. Another of us ordered Huevos Rancheros and the tacos were wrong and the listed ingredients were not in there. When we asked the server we were told that these were now included in a "smear" of vegetables on the plate. Having been here numerous times we can see the contrast. 4. Food took about 45-60 minutes to come, fries were soggy and on the counter for a while (we saw them sitting there but no server). To end it all had to pay a mandatory gratuity of 20%. For what I am not sure. Our server could not have been less interested in serving us. A real disappointment and significant decline in our experiences in the past. Will think twice, and so should you, about setting up our next family meal there with so many good choices in Memphis

Yelp
Loved the little outside pods we were able to use during the age of covid (even though it was a bit rainy and chilly outside). And the food here was pretty tasty and different (and we love different)! First, to get it out of the way, the shrimp dish we had wasn't great. But take away that minor negative, everything else we had was excellent. My faves were the cauliflower and the carnitas. And don't sleep on those chicken wings either... Great weekday meal...

Kabrina Luckett ..

Yelp
The food was great & i loved the scenery. I like the fact that they also have the place split up into two separate buildings almost. The first one with the bar was packed & I got nervous. The other side was more calm like and up my speed.

Monica O.

Yelp
Beautifuly considered space, broad menu and wonderful service. The food was delicious - apple salad, shrimp tempura, would be hard to name them all - and whatever you do don't sip dessert!

This wasn't our favorite restaurant in Memphis but it was good. I believe it's owned by a woman. The decor is cute and reminds you of a salon which is cool. The menu items are curated nicely and push you to try something new while enjoying something familiar. The fried oysters were so so good! I also really enjoyed the lamb chops. Wouldn't recommend on a busy night like Valentine's Day. Street parking available.

Yelp
I was on a trip to Memphis and my gf decided to choose this place for our dinner! We scheduled ahead of time so once we got in, we were immediately seated. It's a unique design considering its using antiques and even hairdressers from a beauty salon as decor. Drinks: She had a White sangria. I had a cocktail that was comprised of Whiskey, Watermelon cilantro cordial, honey, and basil. They both were delicious. Food: These foods were a tad pricey but it was for the experience. We had monkey bread, Wings & Watermelon, Fingerling potatoes with goat cheese, and Brussels sprouts. I also got the fish of the day special (tried to be adventurous). All the food was good. The monkey bread was ok. Nothing special, but the other food caught us off guard. The wings had a cashew sweet chili sauce that was coated on there. The fish and veggies were cooked and seasoned well. I was doubtful of the portion size, but it's just enough to satisfy me. I enjoyed my experience.

Yelp
Great vibes in the restaurant. Staff is very friendly and welcoming! Food has good flavors with decent attention to detail. However, food did not blow my mind away. Thai chicken was seasoned very well but i wish there was more chutney and yogurt. The yogurt is particular was delicious! Tuna was very good with great depth in flavor and attention to detail Grilled chicken was cooked very well and paired very well with the mashed potatoes. Would recommend this dish! The lamb salad had complex flavor and was a fairly big salad. The lamb itself was a tad overcooked but seasoned well.

Yelp
Beauty shop never fails for a consistent great meal. I have been with big groups and date lunches and the service and speed is always exceptional. We always start with the guacamole, I always order watermelon and wings and my wife has tried several things. Don't leave without dessert.

Yelp
Definitely a hidden gem in Midtown!! What an eclectic place to eat,!! Love the decor through the restaurant. We had no reservations but were able to seat at the bar. Refreshing drinks, and salads too. My hubby ordered the lamb dinner and I the carnitas (small plate, but satisfying for my appetite) All in all??? Great experience And real good food!!

Yelp
We had a lovely dinner before a concert in town. Excellent service. Funky atmosphere. So many unique menu choices we had a hard time deciding. Cocktails and dessert are a must.

Yelp
Man, I love this place. From the street, it looks like a burger joint, nothing wrong with that but the menu is so good and so varied that it is hard to believe. Karen Carrier, the chef and owner hits it out of the park and I just don't know how she does it. Get a fantastic meal and a great drink at a good price in a hip and genuine atmosphere. Great for a date, friends or family.

Yelp
This is a must stop in Memphis!! The ambiance is art itself. I always ask for recommendations from the waitstaff in regard to their favorites and most popular. I ordered the BLFGT&A and added an egg. It was delicious. I also recommend the Matzo Ball Soup. My boyfriend loved it! O
