The 16 Best Restaurants & Pubs In The Cotswolds - Cotswolds - The Infatuation

"You could play country pub bingo at The Bell Inn and quickly have a full card. Mounted animal heads? Two. Stone fireplace with Berghaus fleece-wearers sipping pinot noir? Check. Beams? Chunky and plentiful. But your first bite of bone marrow-smeared flatbread tells you that this isn’t your average Cotswolds boozer. Groups celebrate birthdays with near-perfect Sunday roasts and outside, cyclists stop by for charred anchovy pizzas and pints. Book ahead, this Langford pub is rightly very popular." - sinead cranna

The Bell Inn, Langford - Review - Langford - Cotswolds - The Infatuation

"You could play country pub bingo at The Bell Inn and quickly have a full card. Mounted animal heads? Two. Stone fireplace with Berghaus fleece-wearers sipping pinot noir? Check. Beams? Chunky and plentiful. But your first bite of bone marrow-smeared flatbread and one glance at the chic gallery wall tells you that this isn’t your average Cotswolds boozer. Groups celebrate birthdays while next to them a couple celebrates not having to cook with a near-perfect Sunday roast. Outside, with garden table seating, it’s more casual, with cyclists stopping by for seasonal pub classics, charred anchovy and caper pizzas, and pints. Book ahead because this Langford pub is rightly very popular—with locals and visitors alike. video credit: Sinéad Cranna photo credit: Sinéad Cranna photo credit: Sinéad Cranna photo credit: Sinéad Cranna photo credit: Sinéad Cranna Pause Unmute" - Sinéad Cranna

Homely Restaurants

"With its 16th century origins, this rustic charmer is hard to resist, with stone floors, exposed beams and an impressive inglenook fireplace that make it look like something straight out of a Country Living magazine. The good value menu is a roll-call of well-executed pubby classics that follow the seasons, and the flat breads and pizzas are cooked in a wood-burning oven; bedrooms are furnished to a high standard." - The MICHELIN Guide UK Editorial Team

'Bibs’ with Bedrooms

"This remotely set inn dates from the 16C and its rustic charm is hard to resist with stone floors, exposed beams and an impressive inglenook fireplace. The seasonal menu is a roll call of the classics and there’s a wood-burning oven for pizzas and flatbreads too. Dishes have distinct, honest flavours and it’s clear that the chef knows his fish from his faggots. Pleasingly furnished bedrooms are housed in a series of outbuildings." - The MICHELIN Guide UK Editorial Team

Well off the beaten track, but what a great find for us. A delightful 16th century public house and Inn. Cost, warm, welcoming and picture perfect.||The service was brilliant and the prices, for what we had, was very fair. The quality of the food was exceptional.||I had calves liver on a bed of mash with bacon and onion gravy with green beans and hispi cabbage. It was quite possibly the best I've ever had.||My wife had the fish and chips with mushy peas. The fish, I'm told, was beautifully cooked. The batter wasn't greasy, but was crisp and light and fish was really moist. The peas had been cooked and crushed fresh as had the twice cooked chips, the Mayonnaise and the tartar sauce.||This is a hidden gem and even though over 100 miles from home, we will make an effort to go again and stay a night, as the rooms look great too.||Well recommend a visit.

We had an Excellent lunch with the family. Enjoyed some top quality food with lots of original menu options to choose from. The service we received was great and there were lots choices of local beers and non alcoholic options too. I would highly recommend this restaurant the staff and the area to all.

Amazing and inventive food. Be bold and just tapas yourself up! Get a ton of small plates to share and relish the variety, quality of both cooking and ingredients. Great pint of beer too!

Our third time eating at and second time staying here, and as excellent as ever. Room, food, atmosphere, beer, everything is wonderful, but what really stood out was the service from barman/waiter, he was so polite and attentive, and really deserves a mention!
