The 13 Best Restaurants In Borough Market - London - The Infatuation

"Grab a big pile of napkins after ordering at The Black Pig. The doorstop-sized ciabatta sandwiches from the perma-busy stall are generously stuffed with juicy, tender, slow-roasted pork shoulder, and will drip sauce and spill slaw no matter how anaconda-like your jaw is. Get the Salsa Verde sandwich with tangy, fresh apple, fennel slaw, creamy aioli, and herby salsa verde." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, daisy meager, sinead cranna, rianne shlebak

The 24 Best Sandwiches In London - London - The Infatuation

"Every sandwich from The Black Pig contains a mound of juicy, tender, slow-roasted pork shoulder between springy bread. The doorstop-sized ciabatta sandwiches from the perma-busy Borough Market stall are a dry cleaner’s dream, but there’s balance to these creations. Our favourite extra fillings are in the Salsa Verde—the tangy, fresh apple and fennel slaw, creamy aioli, and herby salsa verde cut through the rich meat." - jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna

The 10 Best Christmas Sandwiches In London - London - The Infatuation

"The Borough Market stall creation, The Sleigher, layers slow-roast pork shoulder with slices of smoked turkey, adds some moisture via gravy mayonnaise and a smear of cranberry sauce, before piling on red cabbage, pecan onion and sage crumble, and a cheesy leek béchamel for good measure. The bread to try and hold this beastly creation? Ciabatta. It's available from 9-24 December." - jake missing

The Black Pig Borough Market - Review - London Bridge - London - The Infatuation

"Grab a big pile of napkins after ordering at The Black Pig—you’ll need more than you think. The doorstop-sized ciabatta sandwiches from the perma-busy Borough Market stall are generously stuffed, and will drip sauce and spill slaw no matter how anaconda-like you can stretch your jaw. These sandwiches are worth any accidental stains, though. Each one contains a small mound of juicy, tender, slow-roasted pork shoulder between springy bread. Our favourite extra fillings are in the Salsa Verde—the tangy, fresh apple and fennel slaw, creamy aioli, and herby salsa verde cut through the rich meat. photo credit: Koray Firat photo credit: Koray Firat photo credit: Koray Firat Pause Unmute" - Daisy Meager

I'm going to voice an unpopular opinion but I didnt rate this sandwich at all. I travelled just over an hour into london today just to try this sandwich as I'd seen numerous reviews and videos all over tik tok about how amazing it was. I found it really bland! The bread was thick but also really chewy so it was hard to bite into without the filling spilling out. The truffle mayo was nice and the coleslaw was okay but not very flavourful. The pulled pork itself, although cooked well with a generous portion, it had no flavour at all and was quite watery. The parmesan on top is so finely grated that you dont get much of a cheese taste from that either. Overall, this sandwich was really lacking in any sort of flavour, was quite watery/soggy and was just an "okay" sarnie. I dont actually understand why its viral when there are so many other nice food places in borough market. The lady serving me was very polite though! I came to try "the best sandwich in london" and was thoroughly disappointed. You've been warned.

There was a queue but it moved very fast and I was served in less than 5 minutes. The staff was nice and efficient. The sandwich in itself was just okay truthfully. I wanted to try it out because there was a lot of hype around it but it’s really not worth queueing more than 5min. Not bad by all means, but not great either.

I eat at Borough Market with caution as I have been let down by the quality of food a couple times now, but I tried The Black Pig for the first time today and ordered the Honey Truffle Parm! It was so delicious & definitely filling. The sweetness of the apple cuts through the richness of the truffle & pork, making it a balanced sandwhich - I'd recommend giving it a try, especially for lunch. The queue was long, but the service was super efficient, so I really didn't wait too long. Can't wait to try it again!

Really good job guys. I absolutely enjoyed my sandwiche was "the best one". Great quality nice quantity. Fresh ingredients and full of flavour. The pulled pork? OMG!!!! I could easily have the whole tray. Definitely I'll go again and again and I highly recommend this place to everyone

Google
I'd go as far as to say this is the only place in Borough Market worth eating. The team are incredibly efficient and even with a huddle of about 20 people waiting, it was only a 5 minute wait for my sandwich. Absolutely stunning flavours, perfect balance and the crackling is well worth it. Phenomenal.

Absolutely worth the hype. A really tasty sandwich, a bit spicy, but even for someone like me who doesn’t usually like spicy food, it was perfect. When I come back to London, I’m definitely coming back. The line moves very quickly, and it's worth waiting a bit. We waited less than 5 minutes because their organization is excellent.

Located in the Borough Market. Get there early because lines will be LONG! The options are limited but the sandwiches are SO GOOD! Its hard to find a place to eat so I highly recommend someone saving a spot and another buying... Do not miss this if you go to the market. Also go during the week.

Incredible sandwich! I landed in London and one of the first things I did was visit The Black Pig at Borough Market. "The best one" lives up to its name. They were so efficient with the line, so don't get scared off by how long it can be (there's a reason it's long, it moves very fast, and it's worth it). This was enough sandwich for two people! I'm back in the U.S. now and wish I could have one today.
