Where To Day Drink In Winter - New York - The Infatuation

"The Black Swan is the rare sort of NYC pub that isn’t tacky, doesn’t smell bad, and serves a lot of food that you actually want to eat. So if you have the day off in or around Bed-Stuy, and you don’t want to sit at home because your radiator is making sounds like a xenomorph from Aliens, just come get a drink here. There’s a TV above the bar up front, and a big room in the back (where it feels more like a restaurant)." - bryan kim, matt tervooren

Late Night Delivery That Isn’t Just Pizza - New York - The Infatuation

"When’s the last time you got home at 11pm and thought, “I could really go for some English food right now.” Never? Interesting. You should eat at The Black Swan more often. This Bed-Stuy spot serves some very good English pub food, and you can get it delivered until 1:30am on weekends. So order some fish and chips, bangers and mash, or a fried chicken sandwich. You can also get 40 wings delivered, if you’ve decided to throw an after-party in your home." - bryan kim, matt tervooren

First time here to this place and it won’t be our last. We really really love and enjoyed it especially our bartender Reggie S. He was very very nice, kind and attentive with us the whole night. He will be the reason we will be coming back. He is a professional bartender and it really showed tonight. Thank you 🙏. Love love this place , thanks to our bartender. He really made the difference to our experience here tonight then all the other places we have visited. We did not want to leave because of him. But good things had to come to an end. Till next time.

The Black Swan has a ton of potential and I do mean a ton, located in the basement of The Omni Hotel - Houston the layout and underground concept truly added to the mystic of this venue! We went on a Saturday evening and there was no crowd none what so ever. Lol. Greeted by what I assumed to be an off duty cop who asked for IDs prior to entering; I noticed a few cowboys and a couple dancing on the dance floor to some early 2000’ hits after quickly noticing that and I do mean quickly I immediately headed to the bar to get a drink; where we were greeted quickly and with a smile! There were plenty of bartenders around just not many patrons! If am not mistaken this location recently did some renovations and just reopened which is why I wanted to check it out. This much older crowd gravitated to the the left side of the room; which was unquie! Being the rebel in the room I decided to go to the left - the layout was spacious and very modern! Decided to dip after the one drink! Again, this was located in a hotel and we couldn’t have been in there for more than an hour we charged $20 for valet and the car hadn’t even moved far - this is picky and since there was no cover no big deal; just noted. If you want to host an event here or have a big group of friends and I do mean big with no real plans or place to go check this place out! It has a ton of potential and us millennials can make this place the next big thing; although it is secluded and around the corner from what I thought would be a axe murder standing in the drive way! It could be a win. Oh one #CoolFact that I noticed the drink menu lights up when you open it - very nice touch! Check it out. Cheers,

I was not impressed with the overall experience. There were two armed security guards blocking the entrance that required everyone, including seventy plus year old people in our group to show their ID's. This gives the impression that bad people are trying to enter the place. I had been to the place a while back, and there were barstools at the bar but this time there were none. It appeared a wedding party was there after a wedding and there were only two bartenders for the entire crowd. It was just not a classy, friendly feeling place. I will choose somewhere else next time.

We had our wedding at the Omni (The hotel itself was amazing). The bar manager Erika Lawson confronted me at the end of the night about an almost $800 tab she thought one of my guests had, which I ended up paying. Once I brought it up to my guest that Erika said opened it, they immediately told me they didn't make this tab. The original tab was also opened over an hour before my wedding ended (which included an open bar), the guest was my maid of honor and none of my guests were at the Black Swan at this point because why would anyone go pay for drinks when they can get them for free???? After trying to get this resolved the day after while I was still at the hotel, I was handed off to multiple other people, and then written off by Ms. Lawson. Even after I had proof that the guest wasn't the one who opened that tab, Ms. Lawson would not reply to multiple emails about this situation and effectively ghosted me. DO NOT come here unless you're paying in cash and ready to deal with this shady operation, it was a huge stain on the night having to deal with something that management roped me into.

Oh mya gosh! This spot was awesome. First time out in a long time and it was more than I could ask for. Staff was friendly and the food was great! I would highly recommend.

TL;DR Black Lives Don't Matter at the Black Swan NightClub and believe the police officer station in the parking garage was ready to pull a gun on me. I went to The Black Swan Nightclub for a group event with one of my black friends (I'm also black). The actual nightclub was nothing special but we still had a good time. My friend and I walked back to the parking garage (that we both paid $10 separately to park inside of) and started to chat about the night out before we parted ways. The white police officer in the jacket that said "Sherriff" approached us very aggressively mid-way through our conversation and said "What do you have going on here?" We explained we were just talking before heading home after going to the the Black Swan. He said also very aggressively "You two need to leave right now. You don't belong in this parking garage." But, we DID belong there as we had just paid for the parking and our cars were there. Knowing the situation we left without a fuss. As the police officer walked away I wanted to know the time so I reached in my pocket to check my phone. The police officer then looked back and reached for his belt. Also knowing the situation, I never checked the time and drove out as quickly as possible. Please do not visit this place. And if you're non-white do not take my warning lightly. The police officer approached us already in the mindset that we were going to start an altercation and was ready to take swift, violent action when we were just talking in a public space.

Worst dj ever. He is not diverse in music. Asked him many times to play certain music and would not play it. Only plays 80s or Indian music. Worst club ever. All i did was sit because no good music to dance to. I would not even it a single star but had to in order to post my review. And this place is newly renovated but forgot to upgrade the dj.
