My friend recommend this one to me....and, Wow. I was simply blown away. We went around lunchtime and was given a lunch menu, after looking over the menu I admit I was slightly disappointed. I flagged down our awesome waiter and asked if they did a dinner menu all day and he said yes! This is where everything changed. Everything on the menu looked delicious it was super hard to choose. After weighing my options (literally every choice sounded amazing) I settled on the Cajun Snapper. And a 3 dollar unchanged for a bowl of Gumbo OH My god! It was one of the best snappers I've ever tasted the Cajun sauce with baby scallops and gumbo were seasoned to perfection and the food portion size was more than enough. I highly recommend this place to anyone! 10/10 will eat here again.

Amazing dinner for one in Corpus! I love this quaint and fantastic restaurant. The waiter recommend the crab stuffed drum and I tried it. It was delicious and sensational. If you are ever in Corpus Christi. You need to try this place out!

This place was not what I thought when looking on the outside in a strip mall. It took this strip mall area and made it feel like a bright calm place to have supper. It was not a dressy up place. Come as you are, shorts and shirts were fine. The waiter wore a shirt from the restaurant and nice pants. His name was Derek. Great service!! He was triple sat and ran the tables as if we were the only table he had. He was busting his booty! We lacked for NOTHING!! We started with bacon wrapped shrimp. 4 were included in the order. The jalapeño was a nice spice, but didnt kick, they took the seeds out! I has the 4 chicken breast meal. The mashed potatoes were creamy and tasted super fresh. A couple of lungs so you knew it was fresh not boxed! Loved that! The chicken was nice and crispy, juicy and the 4 cheese topping was just salty enough I didnt need to add any salt to the plate. The star was the lemon ber blanc (sorry if misspelled) it was so yummy and crispy!! The serving was so much I had enough to take home for tomorrow at lunch! Hubby had fried shrimp. With rice pilaf and veggies. The shrimp were so big, like half dollar size! Approx 6 shrimp filled him up! They were moist and juicy and very tasty. We absolute have no problems coming back here. We did not get drinks from the bar, but it appeared to be a very busy bar and the bar tender was making drinks the whole time we were there. We will be back in fro. San Antonio again!

Enjoyed celebrating my sister's birthday here so much that I had to share this place with our friends for our anniversary dinner a week later. Great experience for both occasions. Fabulous food absolutely delicious dishes served by friendly people in a surprisingly comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommend giving these guys a try when you want to level up your dinner.

The food was amazing! 1st time here and definitely can't wait to go back ! Got there around 5:30pm.on a Saturday. It was perfect because around 6pm it started getting packed. The appetizers were so good. Our main dishes had a sauce that was sooooo delicious!!!

Sweet Staff Simple Menu!!! We enjoyed an inconceivably romantic outing. Whole afternoon was wonderfully woven together, with DAVE as our server. He is so attentive, just the most courteous, jovial Gentleman. Such delicious veggies! Perfect compliment on the special Valentine's Day! Our great aunt is their regular, and you should be too! They always remember and cater to her specific personality! Very beautiful restaurant.

Google
My first time eating here and it was a big disappointment. My Caesar salad was soaked in dressing couldn’t even eat or enjoy my salad. They only serve Instant Coffee which is unbelievable! My dad and brothers enjoyed the Oysters. The crab balls should become crab cakes. They still needed cooking no one cared for the crab balls. The ceviche was okay. My sweet tea was good. The fish tacos and the shrimp platter were good. My pecan snapper was dry and disappointing I didn’t care for the tangy white sauce served over a hard avocado slices. My sister enjoyed her Salmon except for the olives that came with her dish. Our server was amazing, sweet and friendly. Overall, I’m glad my family enjoyed The Blue Clove, however, I personally will not be coming back. Do note this is my personal opinion. I have no doubt this place is a favourite to many locals. I’ve yet to find a good fish restaurant.

Yelp
My family and I are visiting from out of town, and my sons and husband absolutely love oysters Rockefeller. Well, I saw that Blue Clove has them on the menu, so I suggested it for dinner. My family also loves seafood in general, and I do NOT. Blue Clove has plenty of men items for those who are less than willing to eat fish or any other sea-dwelling menu item. First, the service was fast, and GENUINELY friendly. Our server, Lauren, was fantastic. She was five stars on her own. Second, the food was PHENOMENAL. My family not only loved their Oysters Rockefeller, but rated them in the top 3 they've had in our many travels. Also, the oysters were HUGE. I ordered the cheese crostini appetizer, and it was delicious. I had cheese crostini at a different place for lunch, and Blue Clove's was by far the best. Made my taste buds to a happy dance. I ordered the chicken piccata just because 1- it sounded good and 2- I had a disappointing Italian meal for lunch. The problem is, I'm super picky about chicken piccata since I make a really good one and all the ones I order in restaurants just aren't as good or as lemony. Still, I ordered the piccata and I was NOT disappointed. It was absolutely delicious with the perfect lemon balance. I loved my dish. First time in years I've found a chicken piccata in a restaurant I genuinely liked. My husband enjoyed his fried fish and shrimp and my sons both loved their fish dishes, even discovering a new love for mahi mahi. The Blue Clove is now officially added to my family's list of restaurants we have to go to anytime we visit Corpus Christi.

Yelp
No reservation, Saturday night party of two And we were seated pretty quickly. We chose this restaurant because they had snapper menu items. We started with the crab balls our waitress mentioned that they were similar to crab cake just in a deep fried ball. I'm not a fan of fried food but I gave them a try. They were okay. The house salad was underwhelming. It had onions on it and I cannot have onions. The snapper tacos were good and had a lot of fish on them. My favorite part of the meal was the sauteed vegetables, They were really good. Our waitress was friendly but a bit busy. I did not know we waited to pay our check with her so we walked up to the reception stand. The receptionist got our waitress so we could pay our bill.

Yelp
Wanted some seafood and had the pleasure of comming to this restaurant. One thing in the menu that stood out is they'll cook your catch which i thought was awesome and maybe will try that next time. The interior was had a large shark painted on the wall that was kinda cool. In my table we ordered the crab balls app. Bacon wrapped shrimp app the blackened chicken ceasar salad and the seafood pasta. We ate family style so we were able to try everything. All the food tasted fresh amd well seasoned. I think our waiters ne was Derek he was very attentive and was working very hard. He made drinks served tables and cleaned up afterwards. Wonderful establishment, would love to visit again.

Yelp
I had the pecan snapper...delicious!! Crispy and juicy at the same time the vegetables were excellent it's served with rice and a salad. Best sweet tea around! Highly recommend!

Yelp
It was good, but only average food. Service was slow, but they were very busy ..., I will go back and give them another chance. Slightly disappointed but the shrimp were good.

Yelp
Everything was great except my photo. They cooked up a whole redfish fillet. I wanted it on the shell, but they skinned it. Touche'. Food was plain, but perfect for the fish. Drinks were served by the waiter. I will return. I felt like I was the King. Maybe not the way I always want it, but it was fun.

Bill F.

Yelp
The food AND service were both excellent! I could eat there every day if I could. It is a top rate restaurant.

Yelp
Clean and tidy place hidden in a small strip mall off the beaten path. Just recently started opening for lunch. Very helpful staff, full bar. Generous portions. We went at lunch but you can also order off the dinner menu. They will cook your own catch as well, and they have creative daily specials. I like that the kitchen is flexible. You can swap out rice for pasta, order fried shrimp separately by the piece to add to your app or entree, etc. The oysters on the half shell were very fresh and much appreciated by the oyster eaters at the table (ie not me lol). Lots of "oh this good" type yummy noises coming from them. I recommend the aguachile appetizer. Very fresh, great flavors, big chunks of octopus and avocado and cucumber with a complex green sauce, accompanied by chips. The panko fried shrimp was everything you could hope for in big crispy fresh gulf butterflied shrimp. The potato crab bisque is surprisingly light and worth ordering. One of us ordered a special with blackened snapper and pesto lump crab on top. Oh my. Order it if it's available. I ordered pecan crusted snapper with a money lemon buerre blanc. Just wish I had more sauce to bathe my angel hair pasta. Food for the gods. The etouffe flounder was a perfectly prepared fish and a gently spiced sauce. Highly recommended. I don't know the back of house staff here but from the execution to the menu choices, I have to believe this chef has considerable experience in a variety of fine dining restaurants. New Orleans? Houston? San Antonio? I love that they offer sublime Mexican seafood classics (cevichealong with a curry (who did Chef get that recipe from?) to southern and creole icons.

Yelp
Tried a different seafood restaurant with my family this evening. The Blue Cove has a cozy and relaxed vibe to it. It is great for parties of all sizes. Depending on how busy it is you may seat yourself or wait to be seated. The staff is great! They are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. My party was served by Jeremiah. He was knowledgeable about the drink and dinner menus. I went with a his drink and food recommendations. I started off with a margarita on the rocks. For dinner I had a salad to start and then I devoured the local stuffed drum with rice and veggies that he recommended. The crab mixture the drum was stuffed with was okay but the drum was seasoned and cooked to perfection! The veggies were a carrot, squash and zucchini medley cooked with the right amount if garlic. For dessert we all shared a bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Chef's kiss! I highly recommend this establishment. I would rate this in my top three restaurants to patron in CCTX for seafood!

Joshua T.

Yelp
David is goated. Great service and recommendations for things to do in corpus. Not a touristy area and not busy for lunch. Fish tacos were a special experience.

Yelp
They have the best drinks & of course seafood. I went there for an appetizer & drinks with a friend & I ended up going back to have dinner. I loved everything about this place clean eating area cute bar area & clean restrooms. The service was great as well never had to look for a waitress for help.

Yelp
I have been here before for dinner it was great. Had some work getting done on my vehicle on this cold dreary February day, so I wandered up here for a quick bite. Settled on the seafood gumbo, and it did not disappoint, came out piping hot and fresh. No skimping here and it warmed and filled me up. Service was great also. Keep it up guys! You knocked it out of the park today.

Yelp
Local stuffed drum, chicken fried chicken, bread pudding, etc are just some of the thing we ordered. The food was excellent. Jeremiah, the waiter, was excellent. We will return to sit in his section. The bar area reminds me of Cheers!

Yelp
Mmmmmhmmm. Delish! Not just great food but really good martinis. I had the fish tacos. They were sooo amazing. We were with family that lives around the corner and are neighbors with the chef. He came out and introduced himself. Very clean and everyone's food was fantastic. We will be back!!

Yelp
Public Service Message! There is nothing gourmet about a stick of butter in one meal. Ordered chicken Marsala. I asked what is the yellow liquid on my plate..."it's butter, maam." "Do you serve this much butter in all your dishes?" "Yes, maam, we do." To put this amount of fat (the sauce immediately separated into mostly butter) in the food you serve, at least label your menu that it has lots of butter (not mentioned at all). We all know butter makes everything taste better but using heavy amounts of butter as the foundation of almost everything you make is very unhealthy especially at the very high levels you use. Even the vegetables on the side had oil residue coating and the plate had a layer of grease as well. The plate pictured with the fork has about 1/4" of butter. Even ordering sauce on the side... everything is coated with fat first so your noodles, meat and veggies will already be highly fatty without the sauce. Try some healthier options please. Olive oil on the veggies and noodles? How about pasta with evoo and garlic? Great restaurant but this is a heart unhealthy place. I will try your veggie pasta next time...the only unfried non creamy item except spaghetti marinara. Olive oil is preferable to butter but fat swimming on a plate is entirely unattractive and unappealing. I have made Marsala sauce: for a family meal it uses 2/3 c cream and 3T butter. There was much more than this in my single serving. I truly hope you improve the health quality of what you are serving so those of us who care about our bodies and health can still dine there. Last request: love the avocado salad...could you please consider a lettuce other than iceberg? Thank you and best wishes for your continued success.

Yelp
Came to The Blue Clove Seafood Bar & Grill for lunch and enjoyed the meal. We were seated right away. All the dishes ordered were generously proportioned. The waitress was exceptionally friendly and efficient. Overall the atmosphere, location, and experience was good. However; while we waited for our beverages I went to wash my hands and when I was in the restroom I noticed one of the toilets leaked water in a container when flushed. So for this issue; which I hope gets resolved soon, I rated the place a 4 star. Enjoy! :)

Yelp
Went this past weekend while on vacation. This was a nice surprise. Small and comfy. I had the fried shrimp which were not overdone but tasted just right. Hubby had chicken fried steak which he said was pretty great. CFS is not often done right, this one was. The batter was exceptional. The steak inside was tender. The gravy was sausage gravy and made it wonderful. Service was very good. We had a very relaxing enjoyable meal. We will be back.

Rosalie C.

Yelp
We ordered some grilled pecan fish and it was great. The lobster soup was also very good! Amazing staff. The service was also fast.
google avatar

Alisa C.

Yelp
I got the salmon and my husband got some fried shrimp and other things. We both enjoyed our dinner thoroughly. Oh and the crème brûlée was yummy. We did have a hard time identifying the front door. The sign from the road is big, but the sign for the door in the shopping center is less eye catching. We got there at prime senior dinner dining time haha. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food delicious. And the space comfortable. Sorry no food pics...I just ate the food bc I was hungry and it was tasty.

Yelp
The Blue Cobve. Never disappoints. The food is amazing. I usually have ceviche THE salad and drum dish. Had the chicken Diablo shrimp pasta and it was amazing. I love the variety of their menu . The staff is excellent. Hats off to the chef and owner!

R B.

Yelp
This is a family owned restaurant cooking up some delicious seafood dishes. Atmosphere is nice too. Love this place, keep up the excellent work!
google avatar

Yelp
The dish i had was average, with little flavor, the drum with capers and asparagus, capers and artichokes in a butter sauce, i was expecting more zip and savoriness. The fish fillet was very generous portion served piping hot. The garlic bread was on point. The bacon wrapped shrimp was nicely fried and crispy on the outside, however the jalapeño slice inside was more like a pimento flavor. The bread pudding dessert was off the charts, kudos! The vibe: average diner, with excellent meal on some walls. The temperature was frigid.

Rossana V.

Yelp
I'm still in shock at the poor quality of shrimp we had! It was bland and dry , worse than frozen store bought shrimp Service was great as was the atmosphere

Becky M.

Yelp
Fabulous food, atmosphere, and service. We have been there several times and not one bad meal. Would love to eat there every day.

Sylvia K.

Yelp
Their seafood is great of course, but my favorite is their pasta Alfredo with grilled shrimp and blackened chicken. They are very generous with the sauce and the protein is always cooked perfect.

Laurie V.

Yelp
Dear Manager: I was very disappointed on Apr 8 with my dinner. I sent my plate back bc the rice n veg was cold and pecan snapper was very over done. Then ordered appetizers. The crab balls were under cooked inside and the bacon wrapped shrimp were overcooked and chewy but I ate some of it. Also my niece had a fried shrimp and fish plate. She settled with that but her rice and veg were cold as well. When I got the bill, I was charged $21 for a shrimp plate and she only got 2 shrimp. Then also I was charged additional $7 for the fish. Ridiculous!! I should not have paid. Now I realize I need a refund! Very disappointing experience. Never again.
google avatar

Yelp
We came here because it had good reviews. I have to say when I first walked in it had me second guessing my choice. The place was clean staff was friendly. I just felt like the ambiance was lacking. Putting that aside. The food was absolutely amazing. Tony's drum was top notch. My was blown away by the fish tacos. Service was incredible as well. Great place. Maybe think about putting in some booths.
google avatar

Raquel P.

Yelp
This restaurant stays open till 10pm, which is convenient. The waitress was very friendly and prompt. Ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp for an appetizer. It came with 4 shrimp and was delicious. Then I shared the pecan crusted snapper with a friend. They split the plate for us ahead of time so we wouldn't have to do it ourselves, again very convenient. It was such a large portion that I'm happy we split it. The veggie medley was good, the rice pilaf was okay, nothing special. The potato crab bisque was "comforting". Not chunky, smooth with a little kick. We had absolutely no room for dessert. Definitely would recommend this place!
google avatar

Scott R.

Yelp
The service was very good and the food was above average. The place advertised a mixologist and I first learned about them when looking for a place specializing in hip drinks. Both drinks ordered were only $9. The Old Fashioned was weak. It touted 4-Roses but tasted watered down. The margarita was good. I had the pecan snapper. It was decent but the problem was that the crust wasn't light but thickened from being in the fryer versus pan fried. They had the best tortilla soup though.

Yelp
It was our first night in Corpus Cristi and we wanted some good seafood.!! My girlfriends daughter said this place was good so we decided to give it a try . It was packed with medium to large groups so the good took a little while to come out but we were not disappointed!! Everything was fresh and delicious along with some nice cocktails to wash it down . We enjoyed our meal and will try this place again when we visit CC next .

Paul O.

Yelp
Best and freshest seafood I've had in a long time. Flavors on everything were excellent, even down to the rice pilaf. Only nit to pick is that the wait to be seated was about an hour. We called in the afternoon, and were told they weren't taking any more reservations, since it was Valentine's Day.
google avatar

Aart M.

Yelp
Nice cozy place. Mid price. Good service. Tasty seafood. I wouldn't mind returning! Good variety
google avatar

Jacy B.

Yelp
I had the ceviche as an appetizer and it was wonderful. Super fresh! My entree was the Cajun snapper... I've never had a seafood plate so good. Everyone in my group had different dishes and said they were exceptional. The location is unbecoming, but I highly recommend stopping in and giving this place a try. If I find myself back in Corpus Christi, this will be a must stop. The server was great! And the restaurant was quaint and clean.

Carr H.

Yelp
Have visited before was just OK so decided to try again. We ordered the gumbo for starters. Very good & tasty slight kick to it. . I ordered the picatta chicken and added shrimp. The lemon sauce was different. Not great, odd taste tho. I ate about a quarter of it, packed it up to go. My husband had the rib eye surf n turf with shrimp. It was very good. They don't have a really good tartar sauce. Was hoping they had a version of two George's tartar sauce..they don't . We ordered garlic bread as a side order. We ordered the cheesecake to go. Was very very good. May try it again won't order the piccatta dish again. Service was good. Took a bit to get waited on, once we did, was great
google avatar

Alena R.

Yelp
Quaint place with large portions, good food and great friendly staff. Lots of options to choose from. Recommend seafood dishes
google avatar

Yelp
Arguably one of the best restaurants in Corpus, IMO. Great seafood, steaks, entrees, appetizers, etc. Friendly professional staff that listen well. You can see, experience and taste the consideration Tony has instilled in this endeavor.
google avatar

Zohair C.

Yelp
The reviews don't lie! Amby waited on us and it was a fantastic experience. The food was delicious. Played expertly, and seasoned very well. We ordered several dishes and everything tasted amazing. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Food 5 Stars| Service 5 Stars| Atmosphere 5 Stars drinks 10 stars kudos to Derrick

Yelp
What a great little local place in a strip mall that both tourists and locals flock to. Definitely gets busy during the summer, so call ahead! Blue Clove also takes large parties. Large portions of fresh local seafood cooked up with satisfying sauces. Nothing is complicated, it's just good. Both the red snapper and drum were fantastic, and will be back next time in CC! A wonderful local business I support any time.

Barbara B.

Yelp
Delicious and unique! A friend invited me once after her discharge from the hospital (this is what she was craving) but it was too early and they weren't open for lunch. Went back with son who loves seafood and he can't wait to go again! Great value, superb service and it was not crowded. We did not sample the desserts (I am sure they are delicious) but we were too full and got a dessert to go at the bakery next door. Last time I ate in this building was maybe 20 years ago. Much improved! This was a far superior dining experience than any chain restaurant.

Thomas D.

Yelp
Very good food with wide fish menu (drum) selections. Little heavy on rice and sauces. Excellent help, reasonable drink prices. Good place will return.

D G.

Yelp
I had dinner here while in town for work. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The dining area is cozy, but the tables are not too close together. Recommend the crab balls and blackened drum.

Robert M.

Yelp
Another amazing meal blue Cove restaurant if you haven't eaten here what are you waiting for seafood in corpus?

Katrece C.

Yelp
Looked up the most reviews and highly rated seafood spots in Corpus Christi and stumbled across this. The photos are what made me stop by. Took a while for me to be greeted and seated Once seated i waited about 5 minutes until the bar tender came over. He was very pleasant and professional. I got the potato soup (came with the entree) and shrimp as an appetizer It was okay For the entree i got the Cajun snapper and subbed the snapper for salmon. Ehhhhh not my favorite meal. It was very salty. Don't think i will return

Moses C.

Yelp
The seafood selection and the service are great. My wife loves the salmon chief dishes.

Dennis L.

Yelp
Man I have to tell you, The wife and I were in Corpus for a doctors appointment and we finally got to go to the Blue Clove. I've been eating shell fish since the 50's, my Granddad was an oysterman on the Chesapeake Bay, and that was the Best Oyster Rockefeller I have ever ate. Also the soft shell crab sandwich was excellent. I also don't know what they put on the fresh cut fries but they were also excellent!. My wife got the crab salad and we were expecting a small serving. What she got was a huge plate with a super crab salad and avocados, cucumbers and other vegetables. The restaurant and rest rooms were super clean also. Really enjoyed it and will be back!!! Can not forget the waiter. Can't remember his name but he was right on top of everything. I also noticed that as soon as a table was empty, the wait staff were right on cleaning the table. Great service!!!

Yelp
I was visiting with family and we decided to grab some dinner at the Blue Clove. We did call ahead since there was a large group of us, we were able to get a reservation for an hour later, it helped because when we walked in there was a 45-1 hr wait for no reservations. We ordered the ceviche, crab cake balls as appetizers, both were really good! I had the 3 Cheese Snapper with angel pasta, fish tacos were the best! We all were able to have our fish that we caught earlier that day cooked there for $12 per plate. We had Shark and Spade fish which was cooked really well with options to have it grilled, cajun style, seared or fried. The food was delicious and portions are huge, enough to share one plate between two people. The fries were amazing and overall the service was good. I do think the cooks were a bit behind as we did end up waiting for our food to come out for about 25 mins which was the only reason I didn't give the full 5 stars.

Don H.

Yelp
We had a really nice dinner. Good portions and very fair prices on our meals and drinks. Our waiter was very friendly and made our day.

Yelp
I'm just going to put it right up front so no one misses it: trendy downtown seafood places may get a lot of attention, but the best food and dining experience is found here-near Everhart and Holly, not off the beaten path, but definitely a little harder to get to than downtown hotspots. Five stars for everything: food, drinks, service-a stellar dining experience! Chef Tony has created a menu of incredible dishes-so many choices it was hard to choose but Mediterranean Salmon won out and I can't believe how good it was! Salmon, tomatoes, capers, feta cheese and a lemon beurre sauce that will live in infamy. We started the night with crab potato soup and bacon jalapeño shrimp and finished with the best creme brulee ever! So crunchy and beautifully caramelized on top, so smooth and creamy underneath. A mouthful of luxury in every bite. The portions are plus size. Keep that in mind if the menu prices give you sticker shock. We enjoyed leftovers at the beach the next day, tastiest picnic ever. We lived for many years in Corpus but now live out of state. We knew firsthand both the old popular spots and hole in the wall finds, but the Blue Clove was new to us. After raving about it later to all our local friends, we discovered everyone else loves it too.
