"The Botanicale (with an emphasis on “ale”) is a new beer tasting room and plant store just below Fremont boutique the Uncommon Cottage, and it’s certainly more than just the sum of its parts. Partners and co-founders Jo Huang and Scott Bianchi designed the Botanicale as part rain forest and part thoughtfully-curated speakeasy. While sipping exceptional offerings from small batch brewers in the Pacific Northwest like Atwood Farm, Kings & Daughters, Lowercase Brewing, and Good Society, visitors can also admire — and shop for — birds of paradise, calatheas, whale fins, and other tropical plants. The Botanicale is a perfect melding of Huang and Bianchi’s interests. Over the pandemic, “Jo started a plant business and really fell in love with plants,” said Bianchi. “I’ve been involved with the beer and craft beer industry for eight years as a consumer. I know a lot about that world and her vision was to combine our passions.” The Botanicale also offers an atmosphere of experimentation and discovery. Bianchi pointed out that in addition to beer, the tasting room also carries beverages from Artivem Mead Co., Timber City Ginger Beer, and Greenwood Cider Co. “Have you ever heard someone say something like, ‘I don’t eat onions, or I don’t like IPAs, or I don’t like peaches?’” Huang asked. “We all know someone like that. My mission was to reach that person ... [I want] our visitors to be open minded enough to try everything at least once.” Since mid-May, the Botanicale has hosted soft openings from Thursday through Sunday. Its grand opening will take place on June 3, and booking for tasting experiences open on June 16. Huang and Bianchi also plan on hosting special tastings and events in the adjacent outdoor space. Stay up-to-date on the Botanicale via Instagram." - Mark Van Streefkerk

Best Wine Tasting in Seattle Stopped by here a while ago and had an amazing tasting on the outdoor patio, inside is adorned with tropical plants for sale, they have a fantastic selection of wine, beer, and cider. I grabbed a bottle to go, will be a return customer.

I love this place. There are bunnies outside sometimes, there’s great local beer and wine, and wonderful plants for purchase. What’s not to love? I got a super healthy Red Maranta from there and it’s doing very well at home. Also Jo and Scott are about some of the nicest people I’ve met! Scott is super knowledgeable about all the local brews they sell and Jo has a great knowledge of the plants they offer, they are a super cute team. I can’t wait for the weather to warm up a tad and enjoy the outside seating more too!

Hands down THE most thoughtful place to try a curated selection of wines and brews and browse through some rare plants to glam up the home. New patio space is epic and incredibly pet friendly. The owners are the most down to earth couple who love what they do and care deeply about their relationships with artisans and patrons alike, bridging the gap between the two in a beautiful way. Immaculate vibes. Drop whatever you’re doing, cancel your plans, run do not walk to the botanicale.

Came for their Sip n Snuggle event with adoptable kittens. Had my favorite things all in one place: cats, alcohol and plants! The other customers were also friendly and chatted about cats. Great vibes!

Awesome new spot in Fremont! Plants and beer? What more could you ask for! They have indoor seating next to all the grow lights, which will be amazing for winter time. And during summer, they provide mats and picnic blankets to chill on their lawn.

Yelp
Came here for the sip and snuggle event and it was the happiest experience - what could be better than adorable kittens and booze?! The rescue coordinator did such a great job of letting everyone get equal snuggle time. 4 tastings for $25 could have had some heavier pours, but the staff was so kind and friendly.

Yelp
I stopped by the botanicale for a wine + kitten event and it was such a cute experience! We made reservations online, but I also noticed some walk-ins. I ordered a blackberry cider ($10) which was pretty good! They had a decent selection of ciders, beers, and wines (flights too). The space itself is pretty small, and not the most ideal for group gatherings. I was also expecting the kittens to be able to roam around freely, but they were kept in their cages until someone asked to hold them. The workers here are really friendly and welcomed questions about fostering and adopting. It's a cute place to pop by if you're in the fremont area :)

Yelp
I enjoy buying plants but you know what's missing? Booze. I need booze to become a proper horticulturalist. Botanicale is part plant shop, part bottle shop, part brewery/cidery/whatevery. It's homey, quaint and comfortable with friendly service and they offer a pleasant array of alcoholic offerings to help you figure out just how black your thumb is and whether or not it's worth the risk youre about to take after slamming back 4 canned ciders. Good drinks, good people, good times.

Yelp
I wandered in here the other day and had a lovely wine tasting flight, which I got to enjoy in their outdoor seating area with a nice book. The indoor space is super cool, though, with beautiful plants everywhere! No kittens/cats available for adoption at the time, but I love that they do that at all. Really felt like a special place that's worth revisiting, esp on a warmer day to enjoy the seating area! Scott also gave some local recommendations for restaurants in the area!

Yelp
OHhh My Gooodnessssssss! Dogs + Craft Beer+ Friends + Plants = Bliss Stopped in at the highest recommendation of my friends. We were immediately in awe of the decor and were warmly greeted by Scott who was very enthusiastic to go over the menu with us. It's a small indoor space, but wait til you see the outdoor space ;) Holy bajeesus this is the place to be. Literally an outdoor paradise! Looking forward to our next visit.

Yelp
This place is perfect for a casual get together with a couple of friends on a Sunday. The atmosphere is very enjoyable if you enjoy plants and a drink. During the summer you are even able to enjoy your beverages on the grass with mats provided. Drinks include beer, ciders, seltzers, mead, wine by bottle and wine pour of the month. All beverages are sourced locally and the place is locally owned. Not good for large groups unless you want to rent the space. Ambiance 10/10 (I love plants and certain beers)
