The Botanist Columbus Dispensary

They had an item listed on sale on their website. I ordered it online and drove 20 minutes to go pick it up on my day off. I drove past several other dispensaries that I would have been more than happy to go to but came here expecting a good deal I found online. I get to checkout and they show me a completely different item. I tried to show the budtender what I ordered online but she didn't care at all. Basically told me tough luck and I can get the original items I ordered at full price. I probably won't ever come back here specifcally because of this. There are just too many other dispos to go to in Columbus. Update: I spoke with a gentleman over the phone who claimed they would honor their mistake of the mislisting online. I came back to the store to be told by a manager that this isn't their problem and I should have been able to read the description of the item. I kindly informed her there are tons of people in Columbus who might not be able to read well (poor eyesight, lack of education, etc) or have English as a second language so what about those people. The manager said "Doesn't matter they should be able to read." Highly disappointed in The Botanist for pulling me back and forth. Then ultimately telling me that a problem they created is now my problem. And if I want to order at full price I can.

Awesome little place! Highly recommend if you’re traveling through the area, the staff is so friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable. I appreciate the lovely goth lady (I didn’t get her name but she was so nice!) helping me pick out my stuff and Jillian I think was the other girls name but she got our stuff together for us and explained everything really thoroughly at check out. Everything was so streamlined and professional and still laid back. 10/10 I will be back if I’m ever in the Columbus area again.

This has been my loyal place since they opened. The actual staff have been helpful and kind. However, they allow their head of security to be rude and very intimidating. This is not the first time with person. I am 63, 5'4" female and don't feel I am threatening at all. I spoke to the manager before I left. Then as I was left and looked into the entrance, there they all were having a good laugh. I think it's time to move on.

The service is always amazing and the sale deals they have are great. I appreciate this place so much and I never have an issue finding a strain that fits my needs due to the great customer service they provide. Since our state has become recreational the service has gotten way better. The parking is still an issue but the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Ethan was a big help. The prices are fair for what you get but I wish they had a better reward program. Overall give them a try.

I went here a number of times since it’s so close to me, but it’s terrible. They’re always out of stock of things, especially the CBN products I came there for, there’s no way of seeing what you ordered in the past. So it took these potheads a day to print off a receipt of what I’ve ordered in the past. It’s slow in person and even more cumbersome online. The German village shop fixed all of these problems for me, such a better experience, and they actually have things in stock there consistently instead of promoting their own brand. They recommend samples of something and have nothing of the same a week later. Given the variety and strengths of some of these different ingredients/products (THC/CBD/CBN/etc./etc.), it’s just mind boggling you can’t easily see what you previously ordered online. It’s almost like, well last time didn’t work, but if I just randomly guess at some different ratio which I don’t remember this time perhaps it will work out better.

The people that work here are really knowledgeable and helpful. The inside is extremely clean and aesthetically pleasing. They usually have nice deals which is an added bonus.

I am beyond furious. I drove over an HOUR based on the prices they advertised online, only to get there and find out it was all lies. The prices in-store were way higher--blatant false advertising. When I asked about it, the staff acted like I was bothering them. Rude, nasty attitudes, zero customer service, and absolutely no accountability. This place is a joke. They wasted my time, my gas, and treated me like garbage. I wouldn't give this place a single cent, and you shouldn't either. Shame on them.

First time coming here since vapes aren't being sold in the city anymore at head shops. Good experience, and I believe the prices reflect in the quality and also the atmosphere. Kind employees, I wasn't ignored or neglected.

I was able to get The Botinist products at my dispensary before but not I think it is sold out of the Columbus dispensary. I live 45 S of Columbus so their products are so good it's worth the drive.

The Botanist is the least friendly dispensary in Columbus area. They treat you like nothing more than a little pocket change. No values added in the customer service category.

theres no accountability they just charge whatever they want not honoring the "sales" they advertise on the website for vine street location. Clerk says it's a glitch ? clerks Says taxes are more in person? lol if you don't want to waste time and avoud Embarrassing moment asking why prices don't match up don't go. Theres other dispensaries that honor sale prices and don't make up excuses. Never going back wouldn't recommend

Horrible. Worst experience I've ever had. Worst quality bud I've ever had worst prices around , I am sick to my stomach after paying so much to find out I had a bag full of stems with the tiniest bits of bud on them i will never return. An absolute joke don't waste your money here.

This was my favorite dispo for the longest this whole past year loved the staff and just good vibes all together but I went in there since it changed to recreational and they almost doubled the prices I used to come in here and get 14gs of buckeye relief for bout 75-85$ but now it's almost 130 for it witch is a ridiculous mark up especially for us med patients who need our medicine now yall are just trying to break our pockets I get going up on rec but why medical makes no since none of the other dispos have done this I also used to pay 36-45 for a luster pod now there charging up to 72 for one pod I'm sorry but until they go back down I will not be coming here

Bud quality and selection is fine but pricing eh, alittle high then add the 19% sales tax and the fact if you use a card they dont charge your card regularly like most places but it pops up as an ATM withdrawal so it charged me like an extra 6-7 bucks for it being a withdrawal not from my banks ATM‍

This was my favorite dispensary for the longest time. It's in a nice area, They always had a big variety and pretty decent deals and they always have a sale going on, but I do not support the fact that they double their prices the luster pods used to be $32 and now they're 46 and I just think that it's not fair. I asked him why their prices went up and they said because the new law but no other dispensary has raise their prices. Why should us medical patients have to pay more for our medicine just because it's recreational now can someone please answer me this?

For years, I went to this dispensary for medical and all I've done is talk about how good the customer care is, and how personalize the experiences but today I went in, it wasn't busy and the guy couldn't get rid of me fast enough he did not want to work with me on anything And was just trying to rush out the door. I will definitely not be back, especially because I'm from out of town. I'm super disappointed

Honestly just had the worst experience of any business, let alone a dispensary. The Botanist in Short North over charged me. I placed an online order that totaled $190. They charged me $213. I questioned it at first but was told I was wrong. After paying (my mistake) I was able to see that there were two different totals on two different receipts. After showing them, they made me wait over 30 minutes to speak with 2 different managers that argued that they wouldn't give me my $23 back.... Like seriously, they even acknowledged that they over charged me, and then were NOT willing to give me the money back lol. After making a huge stink about it they offered A PARTIAL of $20.... I just laughed and said I only want to pay the original price. Another 10m of listening to a rude, gas-lighting manager they finally gave me what was legally required of them. Never going back here again, and I highly suggest others avoid it as well.

Experience number one: I drove by and there was a line out the door. I didn't feel like waiting, so I drove on to check out other dispensaries. This isn't a knock against them. Second visit: parked at the meter next to BBR. There's construction in the area - keep an eye on the streets, I found a nice rusty nail next to my car (and took it home to dispose of it). The Botanist came recommended by a buddy of mine who felt the first one recommended to him was "too expensive/too much of a hassle." I haven't been there yet to confirm, but I came here because my buddy in Colorado recommends the Pax Pods - which evidently The Botanist is the only one in town to carry. Yeah, you look like you're sucking a usb stick, but it's small, convenient, and fast charging. I don't know (scratch that, we know) why Ohio is so weird. Colorado dispensaries are better laid out. Every one I've been to in Ohio is like a Tesla showroom - no real previews, just lots of stuff behind glass to show the packaging. I WANT TO SEE THE GOODS UP CLOSE. I digress. My first visit here was pleasant - I managed to snag the last Pax Pod in stock (sorry whoever tries to buy before they're restocked) and gummies. It was fast, efficient, and I was in and out. Friendly staff, but I haven't made a habit in "questioning" their knowledge to determine who in town really knows their green - but at some point when I've gotten a cadence down and paid more attention, we'll see who really comes out on top.

My girlfriend and I were stopping in on our way home from an extended camping trip, with all of our gear loaded on a motorcycle. We stopped only to find their parking lot was very poorly surfaced. Only one spot was paved in a space large enough to park my motorcycle. Upon arrival, but before dismounting the motorcycle, a security guard informed me that this spot was for online orders only and I would have to park elsewhere. I informed them that I was a customer and there was no other spot safe to park my bike. The security informed me that wasn't his problem and proceeded using profane and vulgar language (asked what my f#%&ing problem was) prior to me raising my voice or using any colorful choice of words. The fact that he never asked if I had an online order confirmed that this security person simply had a visceral and biased reaction to people on motorcycles. Making me move the motorcycle in a way that I communicated was unsafe ended up resulting in the bike tipping over, sustaining damage and my passenger falling from the bike onto their gravel parking lot. Shame on them for not even bothering to check and see if we were ok. I'm still frustrated about this interaction...enough so to post this review a month an a half later. Haven't been back to another Botanist location since. Plan to keep it that way. The culture this demonstrates showed me that it is not an organization I wish to conduct business with. To the staff at this location, do better as human beings. That was a truly awful experience, and I didn't even make it to the front door.

The care is impeccable, the quality is insane, and the people here are as friendly as they are helpful. I would and do recommend this dispensary to all my friends and family.

The good: Overall the folks who run this place seem well trained and professional. During my initial visit I had mostly chosen what I wanted ahead of time. I had a short opportunity to get in while in the area before I had another obligation. I called twice when they first opened that day ( a Thursday in August) to ask " how things worked" and a slew of other stuff just to be sure I had everything I needed the first time. It was my initial visit my card and I got two different people each time I called who were both very friendly. I was nervous because some of the reviews state otherwise but I imagine if you plan a trip when they aren't so busy, (weekdays) and make phone calls during slow times as well, you will naturally get a less stressed employee. (Some Bad) Upon arriving parking was a bitch. I definitely did not compute the parking directions during the phone conversation, (ADD, visual learner....) the lot is diagonal and across the street from the entrance (also inconspicuous). I was not expecting a random pay booth sharing this lot and certainly not the type w/ no attendant. Random cars we parked from all over the place. It took me an extra ten to fifteen minutes to figure out parking. (Asking strangers, the bouncer at the door, etc.) There are only a few free spots reserved for Botinist. (I have no idea how people get in the actual door on weekends) They are located after you turn right and go all the way to the last row in the corner closest to the Botinidt building itself (across the street). From what I remember. I guess if the free ones are parked in you pay?? But it's not cheap. I would not leave valuables in your vehicle. Area is a bit odd. More good: The women up front took note I only had an hour or so (on a weekday, around 2:45, don't try this on a weekend) and swiftly typed in all of my info, so I could be taken to the next waiting area. ( while entering my card information a second customer even came in and clearly had time to burn and was in a chatty mood ( both w/ the assistant typing in my information and myself trying to fill out my forms). The employee did a great job maintaining a friendly and professional attitude towards both of us (in contrast to my complete inner struggle screaming at this lady in my head to park her ass in a seat, wait her turn, and calm down). Anyway it all worked out, they lead you in the cannabis den in the order you arrived. The Meh: I had an attendant that I asked for a recommendation from. I knew one thing I wanted but was curious if there was anything to help with my ADD, something to aid in focus. He recommended a Sativia dominant strain. (Which I also dig in addition to some Indica) Unfortunately it DEFINITELY wasn't a good match for my kind of therapeutic needs. Total paranoia. I felt more information could have been exchanged on both of our parts resulting in a better match, but I also felt rushed because a line had started to form and I had taken plenty of his time. He had no idea I'm also taking medication that boosts my energy level and occasionally sometimes produces anxiety for my ADD, and I suspect the combination was the culprit. Tip: pick out what you want ahead of time online, arrive, then sit in your car and wait for your delivery, seems much more convenient. Plus there's a special parking section NEXT to the building for these smarties who have their shit together.

I have my medical card for PTSD and everything about this place triggered my PTSD. Horrible vibes. Office full of rude d bags. Might have awesome products but will never know! DO NOT GO HERE!

Always has the best deals!! Them and bloom and verdant usually have a 30% off, any day of the week! Highly recommend selecting category in their drop down menu and hitting specialty pods (I like magnetic attachment it's quicker.) and scroll down till you find the first vape pod that's a .84 g and grab that cause it's the cheapest one you can get that day and usually is on sale. You can order by price low to high and it's usually middle of page one or two. You're welcome.

Its important to note, there is a parking lot that has reserved spots for patients across the street and slightly west. Good first visit today. Good selections. Not the speediest, but effixient

Place has gone waaaaay down hill ... I d k what the hell happened to the staff but god damn. Judgey AF they are. I wouldn't get this kinda judgment if I was at a legit doctors office getting my medication , so what the fk. You basically judging me on 2 things ... the color of my skin being one of em ... Get over yourself Botonist staff, You no different then the clerk at BP getting me my gas .... Just smile , and give me my medicine. As simple as that. And then fk off.

I never write bad complaints, but after the experience I had today. I had to say something. The female who "helped" me today greeted me with the coldest look I've ever seen. Never smiling a single time and rolling her eyes multiple times. When I was at the counter I asked her nicely to compare two different strains side by side. she absolutely refused. Not only refusing, but stating "I had already looked at 3 samples and I was not allowed to look at another sample!!!" I've never been treated worse and with such disrespect. I caught her name, but I don't want to see anyone fired because I have some decency. Unlike miss sunshine. You're serving bud all day. Try and smile once in awhile...

Always a very long wait, not enough parking, and terrible refund policy for broken or faulty products.

Great boutique dispensary with a decent but limited selection of items at any given time. The key to shopping here is to sign up for the mailing list and wait for big sales. They happen once every few months, but totally worth it.

I'm fairly new to the whole dispensary scene, so everything seemed pretty cool to me. After a few trips, I've come to realize: -Nothing is cheap -Visits are faster when you order ahead -Tuesdays are the best day to go -The staff is extremely nice and helpful So long as their prices don't increase soon, I'll keep coming to the Botanist. Oh and join their email newsletter and check their site for deals.

Love love love the Botanist. Being a California native, & medical patient with THAT experience -- I had no idea what I should expect in an Ohio Dispensary, now, as an Ohio resident. But no worries; the Botanist is fully staffed, friendly and knowledgeable. They have a really cool and cute patient and caregiver educational booklet that covers FAQs. The intake process was quick and easy with my digital card. The juicy: their selection is amazing, the pricing is fair for the state economics and politics around MMJ. Parking is solid, it's nice there's a dedicated lot. They are cash only but have an ATM on site. Building feels and is pretty secure. I'd definitely recommend a mmj patient visit this dispensary.

Used to be super happy with them until today. My boyfriend was sold a tincture that was unopened and SEALED but leaking everywhere. They claim it's against the law to replace it and offer no recourse what so ever. Basically they can sell you completely defective product and you have no way to get your money back or even receive store credit. Additionally, the employees tried to blame him by first saying he opened it (it was clearly sealed) and when he pointed that out, they tried to claim he must have "knocked it over". They had zero compassion and showed zero understanding. Just a "yeah that sucks man sorry." Horrendous way to handle this situation. How about you just take responsibility for your defective product and be a decent human being? I've spent over $2000 with this place in 3 months. But never again. Will be finding somewhere else to go.

This location has the best staff I've had the pleasure of dealing with. There are dispensaries with lower prices in my area but to have great products and staff who go out of their way to ensure your needs being met and make time to answer even the stupid question definitely worth spending a couple dollars more

I love the Botanist! They have very friendly, professional, and smart employees and I've never had a bad experience shopping here. The aesthetics are exactly what a dispensary should strive for, it's a vibe! Good selection of products, no complaints from me!

One of the better medical marijuana dispensaries in Columbus. Inventory could have a wider selection. The Botanist and Superflux brands, the store's brands, have consistent quality and are a good value, especially vape cartridges. *note value is subjective I compare to other Ohio medical dispensaries. Definitely if you feel up to a road trip Michigan prices are a much better value

For how long it takes to wait, might as well just make the drive to PureWellness in London.

Caution!! The Terpenes they list on their menu are NOT what you get with the product. FALSE ADVERTISING! Really disappointed with The Botanist. I ordered online based on the terpenes listed on today's menu with the product (flower) I need for my epilepsy. I even told the cashier I was only buying this strain specifically because of that terpene prior to paying. I pay and start to walk away from the counter and I look at the terpene levels, NOTHING is the same as advertised! I turn around and bring up my issue (very calmly) to the same cashier. She looks and sees that nothing is the same as advertised. She agrees w/ me and goes to get the manager to ask about swapping it out. Manager did nothing! Just explained it varies from batch to batch (Duh m'fer.... I kno). I was told too bad, & nothing they will so. I said you know that is false advertising which is illegal btw, they still didn't care. I also received NO apology whatsoever. But don't worry The Botanist, I only need this medicine for Tonic clonic/grand-mal seizures. This is the first ever review I have left for a business, so I promise I am not just some male version of a Karen. I am just really really disappointed and won't shop there again.

Drove 30 mins to the botanist because google maps and their WEBSITE both stated they were open. Arrived to find a piece of paper tapped to the door saying the closed 4 hours early for a holiday party. This really speaks to the bare ass minimum effort this staff gives to customers

Fast, knowledgeable, and friendly. I've never had a bad experience. Parking is available across the street. Once you know what you want, ordering online is so smooth.

I visited the store today . I have been in the store before with a pic of my passport and 2 ids. Today the pic of my passport was not accepted. I traveled 30 mile to and from. It was 2:00 and a male staff member was very impatient and rude to me as I tried to explain and show proof. People that come in are in pain already. I will never return and advise others not to. Need more compassionate staff person. You may want to rethink the people you hire and you need to be consistent. I've been coming there since you opened. No more until you change you philosophy about the people you hire. That rude snarly man was on the right, by the wall. Check him please! After checking EVERY OTHER DISPENSARY IN THIS AREA WOULD HAVE ACCEPTED WHAT I HAD. 10 /2/2001

This is, hands down, THE best dispensary in Central Ohio. My first year as a MM patient, I went to many different ones, but now, in my second year, I only ever go to The Botanist. Their selection is the best, their own line of products is great, their staff is the most friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks for being amazing, The Botanist!!!

First time going to a dispensary and was very impressed with how friendly everyone was. They took their time explaining and answering all of my questions. Check out was simple. Product was excellent. I will be back.

I love this place. the people are absolutely the nicest you will find anywhere. I've been coming since they opened, and the B is the best in Columbus. I've been to three others in Columbus. One was not so good, two were pretty good, but the Botanist is great! Phone orders are always ready and I've never had an order that was wrong. The staff are super friendly and helpful, almost like going into the sitcom Cheers. Everybody says Hey! There is no grouchy Norm in the corner however. Extremely mellow spot. Parking kind of sucked when they first open but now they have plenty. The products are high quality, and the staff are very knowledgeable about everything they sell. It is the people working there that really standout though. A few weeks back I watched one of the young ladies working there assist a blind customer. Explaining all the products as she gently guided him through the store. Kinda brought a tear to this ancient hippie's heart. They do care about their customers. And in the words of this old hippie, this place is pretty groovy.

I really appreciate the organization at this establishment. They are very organized and unlike other dispensaries in the area, the wait is slim to none. If there is a wait, you know exactly where you stand in line. No guessing. The prices are okay and the staff is knowledgeable. The military and indigent discount is one of the lowest in the area at 25 percent off, it's usually around 30 percent elsewhere. Don't use the phone to contact them because you will never get through but they do offer convenient online ordering that text you when your order is ready. They only accept cash and there is an atm available with a 3.99 charge. The parking is across the street in the parking lot towards the front and is marked with the Botanist name. There are additional around the corner. People tend to park beside the location and it may be okay but it's not their lot and one day you may get towed if gone long enough. Very clean and once you are inside it's a very quick process. I would recommend to medical marijuana patients and caregivers.

Botanist called me the morning I placed an order to tell me my ID was expired and that I would need to verify that it was renewed. I stated that I did not have the new ID yet but renewed online and had paperwork stating it had been renewed and was told that this would be satisfactory. I called back to verify if the paperwork I had was indeed satisfactory because I wasn't sure if they needed a physical copy and I was on hold for 3 hours or so (several calls, longest wait time being 55 minutes before I hung up) and the phone was never answered and my call was never returned. I arrived to pick up my order on my lunch break and they tell me that my documentation (including my passport) was not satisfactory. When I ask why they did not answer the phone, the employee stated that she "didn't know, but maybe no one was on the phones today." I wasted my entire lunch break to be told no. The lady was super condescending, stating that it was the board of pharmacy and the rules are very specific... but offering no apology or reason as to why they failed to be open for contact in a 3 hour period... instead pushing the blame to the rules, which I did accept gracefully despite being very upset. I will not be returning after this poor customer service experience.
