Where to Celebrate on New Year’s Eve in D.C. | Eater DC

"It’s a Great Gatsby kind of New Year’s Eve at the Wharf’s waterfront mainstay from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Each $120 VIP ticket includes a top-shelf open bar and buffet until midnight, with access to its second-floor balcony bar. Expect a photo booth, games, and prizes like gift cards, with views of NYC’s live-stream ball drop on its giant wall projection screen. A $15 general admission ticket includes discounted cocktails, beers, and sparking wine, with a complimentary Champs toast at midnight for all. Music by DJ Thrill. Tickets here." - Vinciane Ngomsi

Five Places Worth Trying This Weekend in Denver - Eater Denver

"This restaurant with a storied past executes thoughtful, evolving dishes while managing to remain a neighborhood watering hole. Housed in a former biker bar, it was one of the first food destinations to open along the once barren Brighton Boulevard. Diners looking to avoid the RiNo bubble can still head there today. An eclectic dining room and bar is filled with communal tables, and the changing lineup of shared plates is always exciting. One recent menu included a play on poutine with fried tripe. Anything made with pork is encouraged." - Camila Navarrette

Staff were friendly. Nice venue for music and light show. Sound quality was really good I thought. Full bars throughout the facility

Attended a WhiskyX event. Rating this on the location, not the event itself. Larger venue with a few separate rooms, restrooms, etc. Climate was good, especially for the size of the crowd. Decent overall but parking is pretty much non-existent. We don't live in the area so Uber / Lyft wasn't an option. That would be the best thing though.

Went there for Denver Fashion Week! Had the VIP treatment. Not as many vendors for a pretty large fashion show. There were seven designers the evening that we went. So surprised there wasn't any merchandise besides shoes. All in all a good place to hold an event. It would have been cool if there were access to the upstairs catwalk for a better view

Went to an EDM show on Friday. The check-in line was very long and slow. We waited over 30 minutes to get in. The bar staff was friendly, especially the very pretty Asian female bartender; she was the best. However, they were out of many things. Prices were decent. The worst part of the show was the sound system. Easily one of the worst I’ve ever heard. We will not be returning.

Went to a Laszewo show here. The show and sound was great. But they had like 12 port-a-potties for 4000 people. So it didn't work. The bathroom line was like 300+ people deep and people started leaving. We left early to go drink and pee somewhere clean. Bummer. The drinks at the show were way too limited as well.

We saw “the empire strips back” here and the venue was pretty interesting. Futuristic looking porta potties by the front entrance. I didn’t use them, but I bet they were clean, because the whole venue was pretty clean. The seating was a tight fit with no easy access to seats other than down the main isle, so if a person struggles to get around then it could be a struggle. There at least wasn’t a bad seat in the house for seeing the stage. Free parking, but small lot so try to arrive early. We learned the hard way and had to park in a garage a block and a half away. We paid $10 for parking, which isn’t bad. Just not fun to walk to at night. The show is a highly recommend! Interesting venue and overall great experience at the show and venue!

Google
Took a literal hour to get in (without any security, just a bad ticketing system) and then you have to wait 20 minutes to use porta potties? No water fill stations. Only option is $4 bottled water. Well drinks are $15-$20 and the sound quality is terrible. Actually the worst venue I’ve ever been to by FAR. The only positive was that we trauma bonded with all the other people in the many lines we had to wait in all night.

Google
Saw an edm show there, was a pretty good venue! Only thing is, not having a water fountain or any option for people to fill water bottles up was pretty disappointing. $4 a bottle adds up so hopefully they can put something in. Porta potties were pretty efficient, as they had someone directing people to open ones. Other than the water complaint the sound was great and it was very spacious!

Yelp
Same as the other reviewer, I didn't know an event spot was here until now. I saw the Empire Strips Back here (which is an amazing show by the way). They had different areas set up with movable walls: bar area, merch, stage, front lobby. It seemed quite large and worked well for the event. They do have to bring in bathroom trailers as there are none built in. They're surprisingly nice though, kind of like an RV with only bathrooms in it.

Yelp
I had no idea there was a venue where this place is located, but, here we are. This was the home to the 'Empire Strips Back' a Star Wars Parody burlesque show for a few months. As for the venue space. It was nice. It seemed sort of, 'underground' as in secretive. It's attached to a brewery and I didn't get to see the whole inside - it seems really big though. I'm not sure this place has restrooms built in, but the event we saw had restroom trailers available to everyone. Besides that this venue is pretty good. Excited to see what else pops up in here.
