Stylish neighborhood gastropub for comfort food small plates, craft cocktails & beer & wines on tap.
"One of the more underrated restaurants in Santa Monica, The Brixton is the type of place every neighborhood wishes they could call their own. A fun, unpretentious atmosphere, and upscale bar food that has no business being as good as it is. Deal: $29 bottomless mimosas. Weekends 10am-3pm." - brant cox, nikko duren
"Located on a stretch of Pico in Santa Monica that’s slowly evolved from a no man’s land into a place where you might actually want to hang, The Brixton is a restaurant/bar with an extremely relaxed atmosphere. The excellent bartenders pour mezcal cocktails made with fancy things like habanero bitter and caramelized pineapple, and there’s a Happy Hour from 3:30-7:30pm (yes, four whole hours) every night of the week. Also, the mac and cheese layered with a truckload of breadcrumbs and chives should be ordered at some point. " - brant cox, sylvio martins, nikko duren
"If your biggest problem with Happy Hours is that there’s not more of them, head to The Brixton. This low-key bar/restaurant has a whopping three per night, as well as a mac and cheese that should not be skipped." - kat hong, james montgomery
"With eight televisions, a bright room, and dishes like fried chicken and waffles or short rib poutine to share, the Brixton might be the perfect spot to watch a game. Add on the free parking, and it’s truly a unique spot within the Southland. Open at noon on weekdays and at 10 a.m. for brunch on weekends, making this a good first or second-game spot for Westsiders." - Eater Staff
"Unlike the line your cousin made you stand in at the Hirshhorn Infinity Mirrors exhibit, the wait to get into The Brixton actually goes by pretty quickly. And once you do get inside, you can choose between the casual bar downstairs, the dance floor on the next level, and the open air rooftop that looks over U Street. The crowd here leans younger, so just know that some people out there dancing to “Filthy” won’t know that Justin Timberlake used to have frosted tips." - Joe Brantlinger
