The Brothers Sushi Santa Monica is a second location from the original location in Woodland Hills. We specialize in high-end Sushi and Japanese Cuisine made from fresh quality local ingredients and from all around the world. With over 20 years of experience, Chef Mark Okuda and his team offer exquisite food, friendly service, and an inviting environment for you and your loved ones to enjoy. We offer both seasonal Omakase Chefs courses and A la Carte options. Should you be interested in sake, a beautiful selection with a Sake Advisor on site.
"The Brothers Sushi’s dining room looks ripped from a sci-fi movie set: perfectly symmetrical wooden panels, black ring lights, and oh, watch your step—there’s an antique knife collection beneath your feet, inlaid in the floor. It’s a more subdued (and smaller) operation than The Brothers’ flagship location in Woodland Hills, but the quality remains just as high. Order a la carte items like salmon caviar and Okinawan jellyfish or the omakase served solely at the bar. We prefer the premium chirashi loaded with 15 types of seafood, seasoned sushi rice, plus a side of miso soup." - brant cox, sylvio martins, arden shore, cathy park
"He notes that local sushi restaurants like Shunji Japanese Cuisine, Morihiro, and the Brothers Sushi practice classic Japanese aging traditions." - Jean Trinh
"The Brothers Sushi’s second location in Santa Monica is a huge win for Westsiders. Instead of schlepping to Woodland Hills, this fantastic sushi restaurant has come to you, bringing all its Okinawan jellyfish, dry-aged fish collars, and ora salmon caviar along with it. The menu includes two omakase options (which cost $140 or $200) and various a la carte dishes, but the star of the show is their premium chirashi: a luxury box loaded with 15 types of seafood, seasoned sushi rice, plus a side of miso soup. It’s the culinary equivalent of a 1953 Cadillac Eldorado or this scene from Mamma Mia: 2 Here We Go Again—an instant classic. photo credit: Jakob Layman" - Kat Hong
"Popular Valley Japanese restaurant Brothers Sushi is expanding to Santa Monica soon, with plans to take over the closed Maria’s Italian Kitchen space at 1008 Montana Avenue. The news was first reported by local Westside blog Toddrickallen. Reps for Brothers Sushi confirmed the move, telling Eater that Brothers would keep much of its current menu and feel, from the omakase menu by chef Mark Okuda to the wide array of a la carte options. That should come as no surprise, considering the Woodland Hills-based restaurant has already racked up countless accolades for its fresh fish and bento boxes over the past couple of years, even as the pandemic brought indoor and on-site dining to a halt for more than 15 months." - Farley Elliott
