Late Night Food in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"Longtime Atlantans may remember this venerable sports bar from its heyday at Underground Atlanta in the 1970s, before moving to Buckhead in 1982. Open at 11 a.m. until the wee hours of the morning, expect bar grub like wings, cheeseburger sliders, and chicken egg rolls to triple decker club sandwiches and even a New York strip. Be sure to order the Bucket Shop’s popular Reese’s peanut butter pie. Open until 3 a.m. every day except Sunday." - Eater Staff

15 Underrated Restaurants to Try Around Atlanta

"Sports bars abound around Atlanta, but for regulars of the Bucket Shop Cafe on Lenox Road, those other establishments don’t exist, and haven’t for a while. For fans of Auburn football (if you didn’t already know,) this is your bar on Saturdays in the fall. Bucket Shop Café Review - Buckhead - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"While some Buckhead spots might feel stuffy, The Bucket Shop Cafe is not one of them. It feels like an upbeat small-town sports tavern that just so happens to sit across the street from high-end Lenox Mall. One glance at their gigantic patio and the drink menu that boasts seven mule selections and it’s easy to see why this is a happy hour haven for nearby worker bees. Sandwiches, burgers, and appetizers make up the majority of the menu, which ranges from $5–$15—a bargain by Buckhead standards. Regulars are obsessed with the fried Uptown Shrimp tossed in a sweet chili sauce, and we’d agree. " - Juli Horsford

MJ is a perfect hostess. She took all orders and everyone was very pleased. We’re from all different states, attending a Dunamis Woman Conference years 2024 & 2025 and we had MJ 2x. The food is affordable and very tasty.

Google
Subpar food and drinks, but cute patio. Our waitress was great, but I don’t have to go back. Burger hurt my tummy afterwards. Waffle fries tasted like they were friend in old grease.

Don’t miss out on this one! Some of the best food they have a range of items on the menu. The best drinks and martinis around the area of course everyone goes for the wings I’ve had them before and they are 10/10! You can’t go wrong with any of the drink selections they make a very good lemon drop and espresso martini so I’ve heard :-) last night our server Danni was amazing, she was very attentive and remembered all of our drinks and full orders with no mix. We had a large group and sometimes that’s hard to achieve . I’ve been to this location a few times and I’ve never had a bad experience. They have lots of seating and park on the fourth deck of the parking garage it’s free with validation.

Google
The jerk egg rolls were really not that good - the sauce was the only thing saving them, but even that was excessively sweet. House salad was also unimpressive.

Google
Overall a decent experience. They were not slammed but they were not slow either. It did take a while to be noticed. The server was very nice. Drinks come out relatively quickly. But the food on the other hand took a while. The wings I ordered were cold to the touch on arrival. I ordered hot buffalo and BBQ. They were not spicy at all which was a disappointment. They are also hard, dry and didn't bite very well. I'm sure they got other things in the menu that are good but this is what I got and this was my experience. It's was my first visit and this could have been a fluke. The service overall was good and the atmosphere was great. I would try them again but I might pick something else on the menu.

Google
Bad bar food. Frozen fish in a taco with minimal toppings. Our server was very nice and it was nice sitting outside in good weather but the food was horrible.

Arlisa

Google
This was a late-night stop for us and they had a decent menu. The food was fresh and our server was friendly.

Google
Stopped in to do some work while grabbing a beer and a bite to eat. Both the service and the food was great. The wings had plenty of sauce (more thick than runny), great flavor, and were crispy. The atmosphere was nice, as they have a bar, tables, and outdoor seating. You can easily grab a table off to the side for more privacy, or a table looking at the TVs for a group of people.

Yelp
Brief: Better burger than the burger better than the 'Best Burger in Georgia'! Ask for Victoria. In-depth: On a cold stormy evening, when it snowed in Hotlanta, I was cold and getting wet having had only a salad while watching my elderly parents enjoy that burger better than the 'Best Burger in Georgia' for lunch. I opened the door and went into a nearly empty cafe. Victoria who I thought was a patron chimed up and said sit anywhere I like. After I sat, I apologized to her for taking her away from her break. Victoria said she hasn't had anyone yet today. I was also starving from a week of being forced to eat plant based 'beef' by two pretend New Yorkers visiting our fair city who brought with them their cold ill wind. Three courses later, I finished with a bite of Wagyu Beef Burger medium rare: WOW. This is a burger that is better than the burger that is better than the 'Best Burger in Georgia'. Hawks beating Chicago Bulls was an added bonus to my cold and wet evening on a walk going no where...

Yelp
This place is a hole in the wall that is an iykyk Buckhead staple. It sits at the bottom of the UGA business building on Lenox Rd. Open very late (the mba students are often there post night class). They are 5 stars on drink/food prices but average on food. Don't come here expecting Ruth's Chris. It's a good time for those with low/no expectations. If you're looking to watch a sports game and drink a bucket of beer-- this is your place!! There are weekly specials. I really loved their buffalo chicken sliders but last 2 times I went 1.) they weren't on the "late night" menu-- a condensed menu from 11-2am. And 2.) they weren't on the regular menu when I went with a friend. Hopefully they bring them back... personally the sweet potato fries and drink prices keep me returning. Not many places left with a cocktail for 9.50 lol! on that note, The lemonade on Lenox is good. The Georgia Peach and spicy margarita, also great. For those seeking an espresso mar"tini", this one is a hard pass. Or maybe it was a one off? But try it at your own risk I immediately knew when I saw it that it probably wasn't gonna hit like it should. also it is for 21+ customers (see sign at the back).. never seen a kid in bucket shop. Anyway, all in all, average sports bar with great prices and hours of operation.

Yelp
Bucket Shop Café on Lenox Road is an iconic Buckhead spot that combines a friendly, no-frills atmosphere with satisfying American pub food. Perfectly positioned near the Lenox Square Mall, it's a popular choice for everything from a casual meal with friends to watching a big game. The menu covers classic pub fare with a Southern twist, featuring items like loaded nachos, fish and chips, chicken tenders, and their renowned burgers, which come juicy and generously portioned. Their wings, a fan favorite, come in a range of sauces and flavors, and are crispy without being overly greasy. The staff is attentive, friendly, and quick with orders, even during the busy dinner and game times. Bucket Shop Café is known for its relaxed, welcoming environment where regulars and newcomers alike feel right at home. Prices are fair, and the portions are generous, making it a great spot for a low-key night out or a casual gathering.

Yelp
Bucket shop Cafe! Always a great time! Went here after an event with friends and we had a timeeee! Great food, cool vibes, excellent drinks! The waitress was funny and cool! I ordered wings and fries and the sauce on those honey sriracha wings were sooooooo good! I always come here and they have late night hours so come one, come all! Great place to enjoy with friends and your family and even to catch a few brews and games. Fan favorite for me!

Yelp
This is definitely a situation where I can relate to people that wish they could give half stars on here because I would want to give Bucket Shop 3.5 stars based off my most recent experience. I'm so torn because though I didn't enjoy my food at all, I did enjoy the ambience and vibe of the restaurant/bar and I overall enjoyed myself. Regarding the food, I ordered the nachos with chicken and they may have been the most dry nachos I've ever had. I'm a queso girly as can be seen in my bio and I felt like they just drizzled some queso on the nachos, but not enough for it to taste cheesy enough at all or even making sure most of the chips were coated. So again, it was just dry and lacked flavor. However, I really did enjoy my experience there. I met a lot of new people and it seems like they do have a lot of regulars because a lot of people I was speaking to were regulars so that made it very enjoyable. I also thought the service was good. I felt like everybody attended to my needs and was available when I needed them. So to me good ambience and good service definitely can help the situation of me not having enjoyed my food and I also think I may have just ordered the wrong thing but those nachos they gave me really were not good and I would definitely not recommend ordering them.

Yelp
Super cute and relaxed! Food was good and fresh! Definitely going back! :) Food is good and the vibe is so relaxed. Me and my girls had a ball.

Yelp
Bucket Shop Café on Lenox Road is a classic Atlanta neighborhood bar and grill that combines a casual vibe with hearty American pub fare. Known for its lively atmosphere and spacious outdoor patio, it's a favorite spot for locals looking to enjoy good food, drinks, and sports games on big screens. The menu features all the classic pub staples -- burgers, wings, nachos, and sandwiches -- with generous portions that make it easy to share. The burgers are especially popular. Their Buffalo wings, available in several heat levels, have a nice crispiness and are perfectly paired with a cold beer from their diverse selection. One of the highlights of Bucket Shop is its full bar with a wide selection of beers, including local brews, and a cocktail list with refreshing options. Service is friendly and quick, even when it's busy, and the laid-back vibe keeps the space welcoming for groups, families, and solo diners alike.

Yelp
Got here well into the evening on a Wednesday evening. Perhaps around 10pm. And despite it being late, there was still quite a few people here. There was a low hum to the place. And low lighting as well. Me and my coworker sat at the bar and had a few drinks and shared some chicken wings. The wings were great. I had absolutely no complaints about them. We had the lemon pepper chicken and the seasoning was on point. I'd come back for them again. I had a few local beers and none of them were to my liking which was unfortunate. Staff was super chill. We were recommended this place by another bartender from a different restaurant around the corner and they weren't kidding when they said the bartenders were nice. Aside from the bartender and the wings, it was pretty much a chill spot and could easily become my watering hole if I lived in the area. They have deals every week including half off bottles of wine on Wednesdays. Come and take advantage of the deals to get your best bang for your buck.

Yelp
Definitely a late night option for a good meal with good company and active bar scene. Had heard about the bucket shop from several people who all spoke highly of it. When searching for a Sunday dining option in the Buckhead area, I decided to finally try the BucketShop. Sadly, it was mainly due to my other go to spots closing as early as 9:30! This sad reality brings me back to a point I often make regarding Atlanta wanting to be known as a major city but cannot compete with other cities that have food options beyond fast food that open late. Not even decent diners. Smh. Thankfully, this establishment was the unicorn. It was perfect for my friend visiting, with seating options available inside and outside. Ample parking was available in the attached garage. Parking validation was available, but not necessary due to open garage in the evening. Our server greedy us promptly after we decided to sit inside. She shared the daily specials, including mimosas, and allow us time to peruse the menu. I opted for six piece wings, and the roast beef au jus sandwich with sweet potato fries. My friend had a bowl and the cowboy burger. We both opted for the mimosas with our meals. My friend, enjoyed her meal, especially the burger. I I really like the sweet potato fries, but my sandwich was a bit salty. I had asked the server if sandwich was known to be salty as au jus can be the case. She honestly stated that she had never had it. I will be sure to defer to one of the many burger options that look tasty during my next visit. Our drinks were decent as well. Definitely worth a second pass as the menu options were extensive, and the atmosphere very inviting. I am happy to have a late night place to add to my list.

Yelp
Amazing food. Love the jerk wings and the chicken rolls! Consistent and delicious. The burger is delish.

Yelp
Service was friendly and relatively quick and food was above expectations for the price point. Really great spot for late night food/drinks or just a regular carry out. Feels like a tavern on the inside and it can get a bit packed on special occasions. Good energy, good food, and good prices. Definitely worth multiple visits.

Yelp
Places is open until 3a. Casual sports bar. The salad was actually really good. I definitely recommend the salads for a late night snack or drink.

Yelp
Got a late night club sandwich here at 11pm. The place is very nice. The staff were very friendly. The club was a little small but tasted good... The fries were good as well. They serve food late but the menu is limited after 11pm. Nice bar too... I'll be back...

Yelp
This past Sunday, I went to watch the Falcons vs Cowboys game...much to my surprise, there was only one bartender, Hama (forgive my misspelling). However, she did an excellent job of holding down the entire bar by herself! I didn't hear not one customer complain and she made drinks, took orders and cleared plates with a genuine smile! Also, the kitchen ran the food in a timely manner and my meal was on point! Kudos!!!
google avatar

Gabrielle G.

Yelp
A great neighborhood bar. The bartenders are always very friendly and attentive. This time I ordered the fish basket with the kettle chips which are made in house and I was not disappointed. The fish was not greasy or overly salty.

Yelp
Excellent food, excellent portions, excellent price. An unbeatable spot, particularly given the area. Very charming with a classic style. Highly recommend for a dinner and drinks in buckhead.

Yelp
The Bucket Shop consistently radiates good vibes, making it a go-to spot for many. The food is reliably good, hitting the spot with each bite. The Jerk Egg-rolls are a hit or miss. While the drinks are satisfactory, opting for a straight, no-chaser approach might be the way to go. Seating operates on a first-come, first-served basis, adding to the laid-back atmosphere, and the convenient parking/location make it easily accessible. For regulars, it's a dependable mainstay, offering a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience time and time again.

Yelp
So I like the bucket shop because they are open late. I live around the area and most of the stuff closes early. Except for Waffle House that is. And sometimes you really don't want Waffle House and you want some real food. So the bucket shop really comes through in the clutch. I came in after 10:00 at night and I got immediate service. Everybody was pretty good and friendly. Everybody was really helpful who sat me down. They got to my drink order immediately so I really appreciate it that. There were a lot of games on TV so if you want to watch a basketball game, this will be a really good place to do that. So I got the reggae egg rolls and I got a Buckhead burger. Something pretty standard. I'm going to be dabbling in some adult libation so I want to make sure that my stomach is coated and ready to go. The reggae egg rolls are pretty good. And so was the burger. They came out the temperature that I needed it to, then have to send it back. No complaints.
google avatar

Yelp
Bucket Shop was a great spot to stop by after work the Moscow Mule on Monday was only $7 and may be one of the best made Moscow mules I've had in quite awhile. The jumbo wings were not jumbo but were certainly good. You can only get one flavor per order even on the 10 wings. I couldn't decide between Buffalo and lemon pepper so I got both but could barely taste the lemon pepper. It was very greasy but the wings were still crunch and good. The Veggie burger was definitely made in house and tasted good! We'll definitely be back.

Patrick F.

Yelp
Bucket is a wonderful experience every time. Jenny,Tida,Mac,Savannah, and Jess are always creating a wonderful atmosphere. No matter what day out the week or time of day. They always provide amazing service and are always consistent. Love bringing friends and family alike here all the time.

Yelp
Good food and drinks. They have daily specials. Parking is the back in the deck and they also validate for free parking which is a big plus for the area.

Yelp
Food Service Ambiance Consistent tried and true Buckhead bar Shrimp tacos, yes please Fish tacos, yes please Wings, yes please Good salads Nice outdoor are overlooking Lenox road. Welcome to Buckhead

Yelp
The perfect go to sports bar for good food and good service! I enjoyed the Irish Mule and the Reggae Rolls.

Steve E.

Yelp
Been going here for years . Food sucks now and service is so bad it's comical. What was one of my favorite hangouts has really gone down hill as of late . I'll miss the over 21 atmosphere and the drink specials but it ain't worth the aggravation of shi*y food and indifferent servers .

Dontayvia H.

Yelp
I WAS a frequent patron of this place, but after tonight. I will never give this establishment my patronage again. I usually order the reggae rolls or chicken wings, but tonight I wanted to try something new. I ordered my meal to go and took a bite in the garage, realized this appetizer is under seasoned and all around not good. I went inside and spoke with the brunette at the bar. She told me I could not order something else, but went to get the manager, Mike. He then explains that's satisfaction is not a guarantee and that he was unable to replace the order, offer a refund or provide any solutions. I left the bar with a bad taste in my mouth from the one bite of my egg roll as well as the unsatisfactory customer service.

Yelp
5 stars all around. This place is great? Food and service is top notch! Highly recommended!!

Yelp
Service was terrible. We had a large group of about 10 folks. Waitress came and got most of our drink orders and it took forever to bring them to us. A couple who arrived late never did get their drinks ordered and had to walk up to the bar themselves to get them. The waitress never came for the food order. We waited and waited and finally had to ask a different waitress to help us. We only ordered appetizers that took forever to make. We finally had enough frustration and paid for our drinks and left, refusing the appetizers that came out as we were standing up to leave. Terrible service! Go to Dantana's instead! Much better service and food.
google avatar

Candy C.

Yelp
Super casual and chill. I went on game day, it was packed with saint fans. I had my dog (Jolie) with me so we sat on the patio. No dog food but water bowls were available. I had a mule and the Blackened chicken rice bowl without peppers. Food and service was great, I live down the street so I'll likely be back.

Saige S.

Yelp
Once being turned away for having a child with us it took me searching 3 different websites where it says adults only. Their actual website say 18 and older where the hostess told us yesterday 21 and older. Get your facts straight and your sites up to date. Why can't a child eat outside and sit on a patio?! Even so, have your "rules" everywhere! They pick and chose when they want to let people in cause clearly both yelp and google say good for kids hahaha.
google avatar

Yelp
I really like like Bucket Shop. This is a casual fun place for outings with friends, family or colleagues. The bar is amazing! Excellent drinks and delicious food. My go to are the Chicken Tenders & French Fries. Everything taste good. Service is always great.

David B.

Yelp
I've been going to the Bucket Shop for about 20 years and It's not what it used to be. The service is not great the way it used to be from the bar and table. It even smells funny now since my last to visits. I was just here recently but I can't go back, it's just not welcoming anymore but if you are a young adult just getting into the bars this might work for you.
google avatar

Rose F.

Yelp
Fried pickles were terrible. French Fries- Dry!! Service was mediocre. Great location and very nice "pub-like" indoor and outdoor location. Parking is free.

Tariq S.

Yelp
Horrible service on a slow Saturday! Sat at the bar for 10 minutes before I kindly asked the rude server if I (realistically) if I sat on the wrong side because I didn't see or hear from anyone. The server quickly responded that there was only one bartender ( which obviously should have been another) then she didn't ask or offered any kind of help? No thank you, I'll spend my money elsewhere!

Yelp
I usually make it to the Buckhead area at least once a year; and we always end up at the Bucket Shop Cafe. This is a great neighborhood restaurant/bar with indoor & outdoor seating; plus it's got a huge menu of finger foods/appetizers, salads, wings, burgers, and actual entrees. I have never gotten a bad meal here, and they also have a huge selection of side items. Not only is the food great; ; but they have an entire menu just for beer! And on that beer menu, they have a good selection of local brews that are fun to sample. It's a great place to watch all the games. They have dozens of flat screens, inside and out, and it appears to be a hangout for local Auburn fans. We also saw several large groups gathering, so it appears to be a good place to meet up for happy hour or celebrate with friends. Our group of 5 started out with fried pickles and chips and salsa. Both were good, and finished off quickly. I also ordered the chicken club wrap which came with bacon, fresh tomatoes, and a delicious honey mustard sauce. Although I only finished half; it was very yummy! My husband had the wings with 2 different hot sauces,(honey Siracha and Downtown Heat,). He enjoyed them both and said that they were both hot enough for him. My sister had a blue cheese burger which was rather small and slightly over cooked for medium. She ate it: but wasn't thrilled with it. She did enjoy the side of spinach she ordered to go with it. There is a big parking garage behind the Bucket Shop Cafe, and it's walking distance from many surrounding apartments & condos, plus it's directly across from the Lenox Mall. I would always much rather support a small business instead of a big chain, and the Bucket Shop Cafe is a wonderful small business that has been getting it right for years!

Yelp
This place is my go to in BUCKHEAD for good quality bar, food, and drinks. The price point is excellent for the location. I will only give this place a ding because I'm a Georgia Bulldogs fan and this is clearly an Auburn bar. Not sure why they decided to put an Auburn bar inside UGA, Terry, college of business BUCKHEAD campus. Get the eggrolls, get the tater tots get the wings. All of it is amazing. Come here on Saturday for game days and I'm sure you'll have a great experience.

Yelp
***NOT A SAFE SPACE FOR LGBT CUSTOMERS!**** A drunk, possibly coked out woman took my seat next to my coworker while I was in the restroom. When I came back, I asked her politely if she could scoot down one because my purse and all of my stuff was at that spot and I just wanted to keep hanging out with my coworker. She said "b***h, I don't see assigned seating!" My coworker tried to de-escalate the situation and even offered her a drink but her attitude and entitlement just became worse. The staff just stood there and asked us to be friends while she was calling us homophobic slurs. The bartender knew I had been sitting there and said nothing to security. This is when we decided to leave.

Cy Z.

Yelp
Need new management. I work around the corner and brought friends here around midnight. Drunk lady takes my friends seat and causes a scene and starts using slurs. Instead of ejecting her like 99% of other places would do the owner comes out and tells us to be friends. We're the most chill people on earth and management basically let us kno they don't care about what happens in there. If you're out late and need the dive bar experience go to elbo room, tearing this place down is overdue.

Yelp
So many perks to eating at Bucket Shop! It's open late, you can catch your favorite teams playing, and the burgers are phenomenal. They're ground chuck beef so they're consistently substantial and oozing burgery goodness. The Buckhead Burger proudly shows off its caramelized onions, bacon, and chipotle aioli in a display of aroma and taste. Shout out to the nachos as well, I love how many jalapeños are piled on top! 10/10 would smash!

D C.

Yelp
I used to like the Bucket Shop but the service has most definitely deteriorated. The place was practically empty (inside) and it took over 15 minutes for a server to approach us, we ordered a round of drinks and she never came back to deliver them, I got up to ask for the drinks and 10 min later they showed up. Took over 30 minutes to get our food and when it was delivered it was cold/luke warm at best. The server never came back so I went to ask for the bill and asked for the manager. I told him about the terrible service and he literally looked me in the eye and said "I watched her go back and forth to your table multiple times after you came to get your beer". LOL!! Will not return!

N V.

Yelp
Friendly service and good food. If you're looking for a great spot that is open late, this is it.

Yelp
I ate here a couple of times while in town. I really want to give 5 stars, but the flavor of the burgers was just okay. Although cooked to order, medium. They just lacked the flavor pop. Had tots one time and the chips the second. The chips were just okay. Tots were on point. The service was great.
google avatar

Nisha T.

Yelp
Met up with a friend her for drinks and food. The restaurant is very relaxed and chilled. Dimmed lighting. Love the area. The food was great. I did have two Moscow mules , they were really good. Pictured is Bucket Platter chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks and their reggae rolls. It's with going back.
google avatar

Jody M.

Yelp
This was my first time here. A group us from work decided to have happy hour. There were several groups there with the same idea. Our waitress was really great. There were about 20 of us and she had our orders correct each time. I ordered the classic Moscow mule. It was so delicious. The food is the reason I give it a 4. The wings were bland as well as the Carribean egg rolls. Next time we go I'll try something else and update my review if it's worth it. But I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Great bartender!! Thank u Taylor!! Great food!! Tore up some naked wings....get the sauces on the side! Philly was perfect...artichoke dip was excellent. Great atmosphere, food at perfect temp!! And plenty of football on large screens!! 5 stars from Da Boss baby! GREAT TURNAROUND COMPARED TO 2019!!

Yelp
Located across from Lenox Mall in Atlanta is The Bucket Shop Cafe. Hipsters and business folks galore! There's outdoor seating under the southern shade or plenty of cushioned seating inside. There's also a fully stocked bar inside. The decor is sports bar themed with AUBURN UNIVERSITY FOOTBALL showcased! War Eagle ! Now to the food. It's basically fancy bar food. Their burgers are delicious and fresh. Their tenders are fried and crunchy. Now the chicken rolls are a "have to get ". And if you like sweet potato fries, try their waffle fries. The parking deck is around the corner, we actually had to walk from the AT&T lot. Service was sub-par, but it was after the lunch rush hour around 1:40- maybe they were tired? The price for 2 meals and teas was $33. It was decent food, and will definitely be back to Support Auburn Alumni

Yelp
Decent place to grab a drink. Sports games on the tv. Drinks were okay. I ordered the blueberry lemonade but the drink didn't taste like blueberry or lemonade. They have games in the back though and it's located right next to Lennox mall.

Yelp
We came here twice for drinks since it was the bar in walking distance from our AirBNB. Atmosphere (4/5): It's a typical bar scene. The weather was so nice we sat outside. Unfortunately, the scenery was a busy street across from the mall. Service (3/5): Both times I feel like service was slow. Both in getting our food and drinks. Food (4/5): Decent bar food and drinks. We got the chicken tortilla salad (subbed grilled shrimp instead). The fried pickles were delicious as was the shrimp appetizer.

Yelp
My first experience was excellent, I was with a group of colleagues for lunch and the service was great food was great. However I went back to the same bar for lunch after work a had the worst experience, the waitress had no social skills at all. I didn't even order a entrée or desert because she brought my receipt before I had an opportunity to. When I tell you she dropped my receipt off like it was a drive by. I usually tip well, but she ruined my experience there. I left no tip and told her the reason why on the receipt. I was there just in case the manager would like to see how differently I was treated than most folks at the bar 7/19/2022 1330-1415 hours. Usually they validated your parking ticket she didn't offer so her tip she was suppose to get I paid for parking.
