Gathering spot for Nationals fans with bars, food trucks, bands, games & late-inning drink deals.
"Sometimes a Bud Light and a mediocre cover band are all you need. Fenced in by shipping containers and construction (very romantic), The Bullpen is only open during baseball season, but it’s some of the most fun you’ll have outside the ballpark. It opens two hours before every Nats game and has Happy Hour from the third to seventh innings. There are a couple of food trucks, but use this place for drinking, cornhole tournaments, and its convenient walk to the stadium. It’s not what you want for every pregame, but when you’re with a big group and looking for some cheap beer, it gets the job done. " - tristiana hinton
"Join Washington Spirit at The Bullpen for a co-hosted party on Wednesday, July 26 at 9 p.m. The outdoor event includes special activations, plus giant screens broadcasting every second of the action. This year’s Spirit team is also well represented at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, sending seven players across multiple teams including Aubrey Kingsbury, Trinity Rodman, Ashley Sanchez, and Andi Sullivan for Team USA. RSVP in advance for entry." - Tim Ebner
"Doors open at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 1, at this outdoor shipping container bar with a big screen that’s steps away from Nationals Park. A go-to pre- and post-game hangout for 13 years, the Bullpen will feature picnic tables with mobile ordering. A new food cart from Georgetown Events sibling Due South serves barbecue, fried chicken, and mac and cheese bites. There are also options for hot dogs, daiquiris, and cold beer. Happy hour ($5 drinks) runs from the third to the seventh innings. — G.H." - Vinciane Ngomsi
"On Saturday, March 13, and Sunday, March 14, head to Navy Yard’s outdoor bar fashioned out of shipping containers for a picnic-style Shamrock Land celebration with Irish beers and whiskey for purchase. Tickets ($25-$45) include one free brew, and VIP tiers get a free whiskey shot, priority check-in and party favors too. Entertainment includes a DIY pretzel necklace kit, best dressed contest, and table games." - Tierney Plumb
"White Ford Bronco, D.C.’s favorite ‘90s cover band, performs at the Nats fan favorite on Halloween. Along with costume contests, raffle giveaways, and tailgate games, drinkers can plan to drop $8 on White Claws and domestic brews. White Ford Bronco’s set kicks off at 7 p.m., and doors open at 5pm. Tickets are $20 on Eventbrite or $25 at the door." - Tierney Plumb
