The Butcher - Review - Houston - The Infatuation

"If there’s one thing Houstonians are passionate about—besides all things Jose Altuve—it’s barbecue. So of course Daikin Park hired its own pitmaster to slow-smoke pork ribs and brisket for Astros fans. Order the Mc RBI Sandwich at The Butcher for a smoky pork sandwich loaded with tangy escabeche pickles on a potato roll. This sandwich’s portability makes it easy to fist pump for Yordaddy’s homer without dropping your lunch. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Exquisite journey that carried my pallet through a vast spectrum of fresh and colorful flavors . We started with the Wagyu Carpaccio that was flavorful and did not disappoint. We followed that up with the Caviar service (Royal Ossetra) with all the accoutrement the seafood tower with a variation of lobster king crab lump crab shrimp and oysters and the carpet boggers on a half shell had a great flavor profile and several delicious textures from the fried oyster bacon and blue cheese crumbles. One of the many highlights was the 22day aged Wagyu that melted like butter and hardly needed the divine truffle butter that accompanied it . As a side we had the brussel sprouts that were to live for. Lastly we enjoyed a New York imported cheesecake, house made creme brulee, chocolate fondant and vanilla ice cream with a salted Carmel drizzle. Even the in house lemonade left us all speechless. Chef Eduardo pulled out all of the stops for our tasty voyage, it was truly an unforgettable experience. Our Server Lee was attentive knowledgeable and a complete Maverick when it came to suggestions and wine pairings. Last but not least the Manager Melissa was very accommodating and the perfect hostess through the evening as we dined. My family and I traveled over 3 hours just to eat there and we were not disappointed. Should you find yourself in Houston, this establishment is one you must stop by and allow them to treat you like royalty.

The 10oz Filet Mignon is my favorite cut here! The guys are really helpful in helping you choose what works best for you, and will go the extra mile if you’re running a couple of minutes late! They also provide you with this insulated bag to keep your steaks in while you take them to go. Great customer service!

Valet parking, great decor and ambience, excellent service and delicious food. We have bought from the butcher shop and had dinner there as well. Will be back!

Dia de muertos lunch is good. 32$ for shrimp (3 on the plate) is overpriced but, the food and the vibe is good. I would recommend.

Order the onion, jam burger… It is cute and so are the steak fries more like potato wedges… I loved it. Someone in our group got brisket, ravioli which they loved. And I would also recommend the Reuben sandwich. Atmosphere is great. Definitely worth the stop.

A huge letdown - I had been looking forward to coming here for so long, we were ignored and had to track the bartender down to get an appetizer menu and then he wouldn’t come back. We finally asked for our bill and dined at another establishment. Downstairs at a hightop on 9/25. Very sad. I may try the restaurant side but never the bar area. Terrible…

Picked up a sandwich for lunch and boy was it huge and yummy!!!! Totally worth the price. I would highly recommend this place. Can't believe I took this long to check it out. Definitely going back soon.

I don't think there's a better sandwich in town. The bread is nice and crusty, and they really fill em' up! And of course the meat selection is amazing. Unless I'm very hungry, they're good for two meals. The pickle is delicious--I've asked for two and they threw in some extra. All the dudes at the counter are cool.
