NYC New Restaurant Openings, September 2025 | Eater NY

"By day a European-style coffee bar and by night a wine bar, this new spot embraces the letter “C” with crepes, croissants, cappuccinos, charcuterie and cheese boards, Champagne, caviar–crème fraîche toasts, cake, and candle-lit vibes." - Nadia Chaudhury

The C Cafe - Review - West Village - New York - The Infatuation

"In the West Village, The C Cafe is really obsessed with their name. They’re a French coffee and wine shop, focusing on croissants, crepes, coffee (obviously), cake, charcuterie, champagne, and the list goes on. The Hudson Street spot is open from 7am-5pm on during the week, and until 10:30pm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday." - Will Hartman

The C is truly a gem! From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed into a space that feels both elegant and cozy at the same time. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with stylish décor, comfortable seating, and a relaxed vibe that makes it the perfect spot whether you’re here for a morning coffee, a light lunch, or a glass of wine in the evening. The food at The C is absolutely fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. You can really tell that every dish is prepared with care and attention to detail. The menu has a wonderful variety, offering something for everyone without ever feeling overwhelming. Each bite is balanced and delicious, and it pairs perfectly with their carefully curated wine selection. The service is what truly makes The C stand out. The staff are attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, always ready to recommend the right pairing or make sure everything is just right. Their passion and hospitality create a welcoming environment where you feel like more than just a guest—you feel taken care of. Whether you’re looking for a cozy corner to enjoy coffee and a book, a vibrant spot to meet friends, or a chic place to sip wine on a night out, The C delivers on every level. It’s one of those rare places that you can visit for any occasion and always leave impressed. Without a doubt, a well-deserved five stars!

The absolute best experience ever! The space was so cozy and beautifully decorated. The staff were very accommodating and polite. The matcha was delicious as well. So so glad I found this place. Would definitely come back.

This cafe is definitely a must if you love a chic and relaxing atmosphere. My barista was so friendly and helpful! I had the Nutella crepes which was recommended, so delicious!! Of course I got my favorite, a cappuccino! It was bold yet so smooth! I highly recommend this cafe!

Hidden Gem in the West Village Stumbled upon this cozy new wine spot and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is warm and intimate — perfect for a date night or catching up with friends. The wine selection is thoughtful, with plenty of interesting pours by the glass, and the staff really knows their stuff. It has that rare balance of feeling elevated yet completely unpretentious. Definitely one to keep on the radar before it gets too popular. 🍷

I enjoyed a glass of wine while reading my novel, the atmosphere was great, welcoming and cozy. I also had a tuna tartar ($28) a little pricey for the small size, but very tasty- this was the most expensive thing in the menu. I think this is a great spot for a date, to grab a coffee or drink and chat.

This place literally feels like one of those AI French cafe morning music videos on YouTube (if you know you know). It’s absolutely adorable and so quaint. Such a lovely addition to the neighborhood, and I love that they open at 7am! The Americano is incredible and so rich. I can tell they use good quality espresso. The chairs up in the front are really comfortable and lend themselves perfectly to cozying up with a book and a coffee. They play quiet French cafe music so it’s easy to concentrate. 11/10 from me! Update: came back on a Monday morning and decided to try a hot cortado. This drink is out of this world! This is my new favorite spot hands down. Baristas are lovely and so friendly. Henry and Naomi in particular made a point to ask my name and remember me as I’ve been multiple times since they opened. Love a place that remembers the regulars! They did say they were testing out a matcha brand that they don’t love and are looking into switching to a ceremonial grade so I would probably hold off on ordering a matcha here (haven’t tried it though).

Google
Your top spot for Wine&Coffee in West Village! This place was opened recently and im absolutely stunned with the location at first, the welcoming the staff the energy that this place has is absolutely amazing. Everything is brand new, professionally designed and made by real professionals, the quality if the coffee is one of the best i have tried so far in all New York!!! They also have many stuff upcoming this week as their first and official. This spot is 5* in every point of view, reccomend to everyone!

I wanted to love this place due to the charming decor…but the food was the worst I’ve had in New York since I can remember. The “crepe” appears to be a tortilla wrap, warmed up with ham and cheese, and bizarrely cut and served like a sushi roll? Tasted like something you’d get at a Turnpike rest stop. The latte was watery. The croissant was disappointing. The decor is spot on — really beautiful! — but I’d never come back for food or coffee 😔

Yelp
I rarely leave reviews, but this place truly took my breath away. I didn't take many pictures because I was too busy being present and enjoying the moment , so here are my words instead: C Café & Wine in West Village has that rare kind of magic , cozy, calm, and full of soul. The coffee is perfection, the croissants melt in your mouth, the wraps are fresh, and the cocktails? Just wow. It's the kind of spot that makes you slow down and reconnect with yourself. A hidden gem you'll want to keep secret... but can't help telling everyone about. Highly recommend "C"

Yelp
Very cute cafe! Definitely speaks to the west village crowd and I enjoyed a little coffee friend date here! Doesn't seem like a laptop kind of place so keep that at home. It reminds me of a cafe you'd find in France or Italy and I enjoyed the ambiance a lot. The cold brew was okay and matcha was quite strong. Croissant was okay. I think I would only be going for small chats and a cute ambiance. The seating is sit wherever you like and you can order at the bar but it's so fancy you might think they would bring you to a table. They have number signs so they do bring you your order!

Yelp
I arrived earlier than my two friends and requested for the window seat but was turned down since it was reserved for parties of four. I was then redirected to a table that can comfortably fit two people. When my friend got here, she spoke to the waitress about the tight spacing and she agreed to move us to the window but with similar seating arrangements as the first table she sat us down at. The table next to us that we were eyeing that was more spacious and "meant for four people" was then occupied by a party of three after us. However, the food was tasty and came out pretty quick. Unfortunately we didn't get a water refill at all during our meal. The lack of attentive service and tight spacing makes it hard to want to come back.

Yelp
My favorite cafe in the west village! They have AMAZING espresso. There is no bitterness whatsoever. The ambiance is perfect for reading a book and writing. Super comfortable seating, adorable bathroom, and calming French cafe music. I've been multiple times since they opened and will continue coming back!!

Yelp
Good staff, solid food, but there was a groups of instagram influencers taking photos the whole time, without any respect to anyone there. They hopped tables to get to the one with the best lighting, which happened to be next to me. The photographer was jumping around 2 inches behind me, changing angles, moving chairs for the best shot, etc. If you want to go to a cafe to read, this place is certainly not it. This is to no fault of the staff and seems just to be the nature of the place but it's quite frustrating. I do wish the staff moved them or tried to put them in a more empty section of the resturant. This review is indicative of my experience so your mileage may vary, but the "average influencers" were too annoying not to write a review about.

Yelp
What a lovely space! Has got to be the prettiest cafe I've ever seen in the neighborhood. The staff is an absolute joy, and I'm so glad to have a new place to enjoy some tea and pastries. The interior is so thoughtfulllly designed, I love the lamps and wall art. The menu has a little something for everyone that is going to satisfy any craving whether sweet or salty.
