The 24 Best Bars in Paris

"No you’re not in London, but yes this is most definitely a British-inspired watering hole. Denoted as such by the three co-founders, who met and worked in the Big Smoke, this pub in the Marais is always popping. You may have to speak an octave higher than normal over the Tears for Fears blasting from the speakers to hear whomever you’re chatting with. While you can book one of the tables or plush velvet banquettes, there’s a room-for-everyone vibe at the living room-esque space (complete with a Chesterfield couch) where the distinguished color scheme includes forest greens and woodsy browns and the deco includes 18th century oil paintings of hounds. The cocktails change regularly, and there’s always a weekly special such as the recent Trance Dance featuring apple, cinnamon, gingerbread, and rum. Menus are in English, and each drink is listed with three easy adjectives to help describe them such as “velvety, earthy, fresh” for the signature Cigarette After Sex, which has been on the menu since the bar opened in 2019." - Sara Lieberman

My wife and I booked a reservation because it is one of the premier bars in the world, and it truly is! The cocktails were phenomenal, unique, and memorable. The service was superb, both quick and kind. They have cocktails and mocktails if you do not drink. If you can get a reservation, it is a must visit!

Top tier service. We got a seat at the bar and saw the bartender make his creations. Everyone was welcoming. The cocktails were top tier. Saw them hand make their pork rolls. There is a “cocktail of the week. Also served beer (Guinness included). The French pay attention to detail and we loved it.

Recommended for those who appreciate well-prepared cocktails. I ordered off the menu (Dry Martini, French 75) just because I know what I like — but I have to say, the bartenders’ level of communication with guests is truly excellent. They definitely know how to make you feel comfortable, especially if it’s your first time. BTW, don’t hesitate to ask them for their personal Paris list of must-visit spots — they’ve got great taste.

This was one of our most favorite experiences in Paris. The drinks were amazing. The snacks were great. And service was superb. Despite having only 2-3 people working the bar and waiting on tables for the entire place. Things were served quickly and they were very attentive.

Very unique bar, more like a pub bar where you can just sit for a whole day, drinking beer or cocktails and have a good time with your friends. Cocktails are creative but on the flavors side they are alright, little bit too balanced so the flavors you want to taste are just hard to find. Anyway very nice bar pub, I really like that they have prep station next to the bar station so you can see different things than just mixing cocktails. Also please, tell your staff to not refill water by putting glass under the water tap, it looks very unprofessional when someone sits on the bar, just use carafe next time. 👋

We went there especially for the sausage roll because it is very very good. However, the house specialty are the drinks. They offer a large variety of different drinks with different flavor profiles so you’ll find something for everyone. The cocktails are on the expensive side (€12+) but they also offer "demi" cocktails which are like €7. If you are going with more than 2 people I would highly recommend making a reservation because the place is super super small so places are limited. In the time we were there we continuously saw groups of people leave because there was no place and by the end of our night there was a queue of people waiting for a table. Nobody asked me but I think this place would be great for a first date if you plan on getting drinks and want something different. And you also have Dumbo burgers next door to get after (if everything goes right). 😉

Been here a few times now, plain simple but quality libations ❤️ They have rightly earned their cred and standing. A cool place serving some spectacular libations and vibes

This is a classy cocktail bar with a feel-good vibe upon entry. The service is top-notch, and the waitress is attentive. We didn’t have reservations, but they managed to accommodate us for an hour. The cocktails are well-curated and reasonably priced. They have a good selection of snacks, and the sausage roll is excellent! I wish we had more stomach space for additional food, but we had dinner earlier. This is a nice spot to check out if you’re in the mood for a drink when in town.

Yelp
First of all when we came we didn't have a reservation (not knowing they did that) but we were still seated right away! The drinks are not only fun but having half size allowed us to try a few things. While the food was more "snack" size it was still plenty for us. As expected it was a loud bar style atmosphere but not so loud that we couldn't have a good conversation. Great place, highly recommend!

Yelp
Love this bar. Tried 3 cocktails and all were tasty and unique. Worth the visit! They also have a recommended local list from the staff which we thought that was sweet!

Yelp
One of the 3 bars in Paris currently on the Worlds 50 Best list. This has a neighborhood pub vibe to it - cozy dark space. Friendly and accommodating staff as one would expect. The drinks measure up to being the best out there.....Definitely worthy of a visit - probably best if no more than 4 in your group, as it is a small-ish space.

Yelp
Their cocktails are SO good and the atmosphere a great - definitely a good spot to get a drink (or 5) if you're on the area

Yelp
I can't rate this place highly enough. I'll start with the staff, who was warm and welcoming and spoke English but didn't mind when I tried out my limited French. It's a small local bar, feels like a pub but decidedly French. The ingredients are freshly sourced, but the twist is they use everything. You can watch them peel the oranges for the orange juice, but then they purée the peels, run them through a cheese cloth, and use reduction that to make syrups. The food is limited, but for bar fare outstanding. We had olives and the sausage roll, but were sitting next to Danish folks (now friends) who had other options and raved about it.

Yelp
This was one of my favorite restaurants in Paris. British pub food in an elegant French vibe with French cooking methods. The cocktails and service were also very good. The atmosphere is very unique. Definitely check it out!

Yelp
Perfect late afternoon experience. The cocktails were unique and delicious. The music was a vibe. We sat at the bar and were helped by the owner who was so gracious and lovely. He gave us a list of some of his favorite places in Paris and we had a lovely hour or more swapping stories and learning about the craft ingredients included in the libations. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Cute little cocktail bar. Stopped in here after being unable to get in at a different spot - didn't mind coming here instead! I got a gin drink, very well made but maybe a little stronger than I prefer. I was also hoping for a snack but we were told the kitchen was already closed. Not sure what happened, but the table next to us (seated after us) was able to order food. So maybe we misunderstood about the kitchen, or maybe they ordered in advance and it was ready when they got there, or maybe we needed to be more insistent about the food. Either way, no snacks for us. The vibe was a darker aesthetic, low lighting, plush velvet. Cool place.

Yelp
A smartly decorated British pub with a slightly modern feel. The music was absolutely on point. Excellent cocktail offerings as well as beer and wine selection. Greg (I think) and France were our bartenders, A+. Don't sleep on the food. I thought I was getting a basic bar bite to soak up a few drinks. What I got was the best sausage roll I've ever had. We stopped in for a quick drink and ended up closing the place down. One of our best nights in town. I'm pretty sure this place is fairly new so enjoy a mellow weeknight here before the crowd catches on, which is inevitable.
