The Canal Club - Review - Old Town Scottsdale - Phoenix - The Infatuation

"Old Town Scottsdale is kind of like a diet Vegas. It’s the best place to come when you’re planning to get rowdy, and the best place to go for dinner to start is The Canal Club. The theme here is 1930s Havana, and the menu puts a modern twist on that, with dishes like fried plantains with smoked black bean puree, pan roasted scallops with creamed masa and chorizo, and a gaucho steak with masa potato cakes. It’s always full of groups who probably have the same plan as you - and there are always events happening at The Canal Club, from game nights every Wednesday to Friday night movies with cocktails and complimentary Mexican street popcorn." - Joanna Boyle

I came here for brunch and was surprised at how quiet the restaurant was but I also came on a Monday. I was quickly seated and water was brought to me right away. I kept it simple with a mimosa for my drink and tried the breakfast pizza as my meal. This pizza was packed with a lot of flavor! Fresh ingredients and everything went well together. My server was Jade, who was very friendly and gave so many tips on places to explore in Scottsdale.

The restaurant delivers on all fronts. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with just the right level of energy. The food was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully presented, with portions that felt satisfying. Service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Overall, a great spot for both casual dinners and special nights out.

We tried the Canal Club for my sister’s birthday dinner, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. For a Saturday night, the restaurant was surprisingly empty, which already felt a bit odd, and the lack of music made the atmosphere uncomfortably quiet. Service was slow despite the emptiness, and the food lacked consistency in flavor across the dishes. We even had to send a drink back because it was bland. While the décor throughout the hotel and restaurant is beautiful, the overall experience left us disappointed, and I’m not sure I’d return.

Beautiful venue with impressive selection of menu items. Brunch is absolutely delicious! The restaurant and outdoor patio dining areas seem to take you back in time as its designed to do. Staff is professional, accommodating and prompt. Well worth the stop.

A piece of Havana in the desert. This is a fun and upbeat venue to take friends, family, or business contacts for a relaxed conversation and dinner. That bar serves up rum-based cocktails that are particular suited for conversations. The food is very well prepared, with attention to detail. Every single item in our orders were flavorful, delicious, and cooked to perfection.

Google
Canal Club inside The Scott is a cute little bar and restaurant with a great ambiance and ample lounge seating to enjoy cocktails and food. The veggie flatbread/pizza and queso was good for an early snack/dinner. The breakfast options are delicious! I had the fruit and granola bowl one day, and the smoked salmon toast another. Both were EXCELLENT and although expensive, the portion sizes are very large. The cold brew coffee isn’t the best, but got the job done. Cocktails are all delicious. I particularly loved the cucumber cooler (and added vodka). The wait staff was great. Particularly liked Zack’s approachable personality.

We went here for dinner and ordered a couple of simple items to share. The food was good and fresh. The service was great- staff were nice & friendly. This restaurant and the lobby area were really beautiful. I would really like to go back for brunch or during the day.

A charming, stylish café nestled inside The Scott Resort & Spa. I had the pulled chicken torta and a Spanish latte—both were delicious! The latte was especially perfect. Highly recommend staying here and savoring the food.

Yelp
The Canal Club is located inside a luxury hotel and spa. It's a cool vibe, a beautiful hotel, Cuban themed. We made brunch reservations and they were not busy on the Friday morning we went. We were seated right away, and the service was consistently great. They have a nice sized brunch menu, plenty of good options. They of course have a Caesar salad, does every restaurant in Scottsdale have one in their menu? (Is there a story behind this?) One friend did order it and their version was really good, their croutons were different, though not the best we had. A friend and I split the chilaquiles with pork and the dulce de leche waffles and we each wanted some savory and some sweet. The chilaquiles were good, though I think the ingredient proportions were off. The waffles were fantastic! My only issue would have been that ordering just the waffles would have been too sweet for a whole meal. Good meal, great environment and service, a bit pricy.

Yelp
Super cute spot with a Cuban-inspired vibe. The décor and ambiance are cute which makes it perfect for brunch or a girls' weekend. Service was great; our server was attentive, and the manager was especially kind, even sending over a bottle of bubbles for my friend's birthday, which made the experience feel really special. As for the food, mixed feelings. The Cuban sandwich was tasty but definitely not traditional. It felt more like a creative spin rather than a classic Cuban. I personally would have preferred the authentic touches like crusty Cuban bread and a real mustard based sauce to stay true to the theme. The fries were a miss then a hit. The first batch came out lukewarm, but the second round was perfection. Hot, fresh, and crispy just how I like em. The avocado toast and salmon toast were good not great , nothing that stood out. The salmon would've been better served on a bagel. Another side we ordered were the purple potato hash. In my opinion they can 86 these. Color wise they just don't look appetizing and didn't taste any better. Just bland with no seasoning. Now, The highlight of the meal was the side of bacon we ordered. It was candied bacon and was a 10/10. Overall, Canal Club is a beautiful spot with great service and decent food that just needs a few tweaks to match the level of its ambiance. I'd def come back if for nothing else, that bacon lol

Yelp
Canal Club is inside a luxury spa hotel. The patio is really nice and separated from the pool, so you don't feel like you're eating next to people in swimsuits, which I appreciate. Service and food were alright -- nothing bad but nothing that really stood out either. Pretty much what you'd expect from a nice hotel restaurant.

Yelp
We were in old town and stopped at The Scott Resort to have drink at the Canal Club. We've eaten there before and the food is great, we love their Ceviche, Cuban Caesar, and my husband loves their Cubano. They also have a delicious Rum Cake! This time though we were just stopping in for an after dinner drink before heading home. My husband got The Jack Chaplain, a bourbon, brown sugar, lemon, mint cocktail, and I got a classic mojito. The Canal Club has a 1930's Havana vibe. It's vibrant and tropical but also casual and comfortable. Outside on Friday evenings they show classic movies and have complimentary Mexican street popcorn. They call it Havana Nights. We watched for a little and then strolled around. They have lots of little places to sit and hang out both inside and out. Love the entire vibe of the Canal Club and the Scott Resort! It was a fun stop for a drink on our way home.

Yelp
The Canal Club is a great place to meet friends for happy hour or a weekend brunch! I love the way they have the lobby and restaurant decorated. It is very beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. Anytime I come here I have to get the Tostones appetizer! I have a weakness for these and they make them so good that I tell everyone to get them!

Yelp
The valet Seidu was such a warm and friendly face! I loved playing with him while I took photos by the cool car outside! I was going to enjoy lunch here and mingle but the lobby bar was pretty empty and the lunch options very pricey and not tm exciting so I opted not to stay but I found everyone i net very warm and friendly! The bartender was a sweetheart and staff were smiley. I give 5 stars for people but dropped one star because food options were so limited and sweetheart to try. That said, I can't speak to the qualify of the food. I walked outside and noticed the pool was about half full, good every. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Yelp
Gorgeous inside my friends and I took many pictures and walked around the outside pathways are so fun to walk after dinner. Delicious custom drinks and food too!

Yelp
The burger was delicious but could have shared. Get the donut holes!!! They were a must! We didn't have dessert all weekend and I'm so glad we saved it for this place. The staff went above and beyond, our meal was running a little behind in the kitchen and they made sure to check up on us. Ambiance can't be beat! Very cool vibe and can't beat the classic car front!

Yelp
This was our first experience with the Canal Club and for my wife and me, but not our friends, with Cuban food. The vibe was chill, our server, Kennedy, was knowledgeable, prompt, attentive, and helpful. The food and drink she recommended was entirely on point and tasty as well as filling. Prices were appropriate to the venue and location and portions were just right! We had an excellent dinner and intend to return. All in all a high quality experience--thanks Kennedy and to the rest of the staff!

Yelp
We left extremely disappointed with our experience at The Canal Club. Our party of six visited on a Sunday for a 21st-birthday brunch. Despite attempting to make a reservation by phone, we were sent to a recording instructing us to book online--yet the online system wouldn't allow reservations for more than five guests. We left a voicemail explaining the issue but never received a call back. Upon arrival, there were plenty of open tables, so being seated was easy. The ambiance is truly lovely, and the space itself is a highlight. Unfortunately, the food and service did not match the atmosphere. Before we had even ordered, the service staff mentioned multiple times that parties of six or more are subject to a 20% auto-gratuity and no split checks. We understand and fully support auto-gratuity for good service--many in our group work in the industry--but the service that followed simply did not meet that standard. Our server was unable to answer basic questions about the menu and repeatedly emphasized that she was new. The food was the biggest disappointment. Much of it was bland or poorly executed, with several dishes left untouched after the first bite. We don't mind paying for a quality dining experience, but the dishes we received fell far below expectations. Adding to the frustration, a member of our party wanted to purchase a round of birthday shots, but the bar wouldn't allow it unless it was added to the main tab. Dishes we tried:     *    Creole French Toast - Dry, tough, and lacking flavor. Left uneaten. This was the biggest disappointment because we had heard so many good things.     *    Chilaquiles with Green Chile Chicken - Bland with almost no sauce; more like plain nachos. Left uneaten.     *    Peruvian Hash with Green Chile Chicken - Lacked flavor; the jalapeño hollandaise was cold and added nothing.     *    Ceviche - Large shrimp pieces with little seasoning; tasted like ingredients were assembled at the last minute. Plantain chips were the only enjoyable part.     *    Cubano - Decent and more flavorful than other items, though the filling-to-bread ratio felt off.     *    Jack Chaplain Cocktail - Very faint bourbon flavor; overwhelmingly lemon.     *    Latte - The highlight of the meal. Truly good--would consider returning for coffee and ambiance alone. Overall, we cannot recommend any dishes featuring the green chile chicken, as it tasted unseasoned and lacked any recognizable green chile flavor. We appreciate good food and good service and are always willing to pay for it. Unfortunately, aside from the ambiance and coffee, this experience fell far short.

Yelp
The vibe and aesthetic here is definitely pleasing! But the food is also amazing and tasty! Came to brunch with my best friend and I'm glad we chose this place as it has been on our list to try out. It did not disappoint! The restaurant is inside of a hotel called the Scott, which inside of the hotel is so beautiful as well. I had Green Chile Chicken Chilaquiles which was $21 and my BFF had the Cuban Caesar Salad which was $20. She got an espresso Martini and I had an iced vanilla latte. The food was definitely tasty. The decor was super cute and most definitely a cute place for brunch and pictures. The service was great! I recommend coming here for some brunch :)

Yelp
French toast but make it a vacation. Thick, golden, and totally indulgent -- brunch here feels like sipping sunshine in Havana without ever leaving Scottsdale. A must for vibes and flavor.

Yelp
Had the urge to try some a new place and wanted to check it out. Atmosphere was pretty cool with the Cuban inspired theme. Staff was super friendly and accommodating, I suspect because it's at the resort atmosphere. Tried the Fresca salad which was light and refreshing. Had to try the Cubano which is tough to act ew up but it was pretty awesome. I tried some of the crispy skin salmon which was also great. Highly recommend if you like Cuban food.

Yelp
All the food we ordered was phenomenal. The ambiance is super cute. My favorite dish was the braised pork hash it was cooked perfectly.

Yelp
I stopped by The Canal Club on a Saturday night for drinks and dinner. Located inside a nice boutique hotel, I Ubered here so I can't comment on the parking. Once you walk in, the reception desk will be on your right. Keep on walking straight and you'll hit The Canal Club. Atmosphere (5/5): This is one of the areas where this Cuban bar shines. Definite Miami vibes. You'll see neon lights showcasing the name of the bar. There are a few seats at the bar along with plenty of comfortable seating on couches and tables surrounding the bar. There's also some outdoor seating. We sat on some chairs across from the DJ. And that's another perk. A DJ playing some music at a low volume on a Saturday evening. Service (2.5/5): While there was a waitress, she never approached us and I was there for quite a while until I went to the bar to place my order. Other people were doing the same. Two bartenders were working. One was taking orders exclusively from the waitress and the other was taking orders from those at the bar. As a result, it would typically take 5-10 minutes to place an order. A bit slow for sure. Drinks (4/5): The Canal Club has a nice list of craft cocktails which is what I focused on. If cocktails aren't really your thing, they also have beer, wine, and all of the rest you typically find when there's a full bar. Since Cuba is all about rum, I naturally tried a rum cocktail. They have more than that thought if tequila, gin, or whiskey is more your thing. Food (4/5): I had the Cuban sandwich with fries. A classic Cuban dish (though it was invented in the States), there version comes with pickled onions and pickles too. The pink and green give the dish a nice pop of color. A little pricey for a sandwich (I'd say their menu is a bit on the more expensive side as a whole) but good portion size and quality food. Cuban cuisine is excellent so I always recommend it to people who have never had it before. If you're looking for a nice cocktail bar, or for a date spot, The Canal Club makes for a great choice. In fact, it's the most reviewed bar in the Phoenix area on Yelp.

Yelp
A friend from Canada sent me an Instagram post about The Canal Club and asked if we had been. We hadn't--but after spending a morning here, I can't believe we were missing out! It has a completely different vibe. The music, décor, and ambiance make you feel like you're somewhere far from Scottsdale. Plus, the space is beautifully designed, with plenty of cute spots perfect for photos. We ordered the bagel burger and split it, which was perfect because the portions are generous. The fries were nice and crispy. Our only complaint was the service. It was a quiet morning, yet our waitress was MIA most of the time. Another server--possibly a busboy--ended up assisting us or tracking her down. We ran out of drinks and had to wait quite a while before she checked in, and by then, our food had already arrived, so only my boyfriend got a second drink. Also, the water they set at the table was not great. It came in what looked like an old liquor bottle repurposed as a decanter, but it tasted awful. For such a beautiful restaurant, it felt out of place. After our meal, we wandered into the lobby area, where there's a coffee/cocktail bar. I ordered another drink, and we sat outside near a fire pit overlooking the pool. It was peaceful and relaxing--a perfect way to end our visit.

Yelp
We came here specifically for the spa and stayed by the pool for most of the day. The pool was closed, but due to time of day and season, the hot tub was open and perfect to start our day after our spa experience. They had a couple servers that walked around the pool and Makayla was awesome! She was fast and had the best recommendations for us. I will absolutely be back, but possibly to stay next time. We ordered the salsa, guacamole and the ceviche and it was absolutely delicious. The plantain chips were perfect for the ceviche.

Yelp
Went yesterday for a work lunch and was blown away with how great this burger was. We were quickly seated in a very Miami/cuban vibe restaurant. Great atmosphere and great lighting from the large windows to the patio. I got the burger with the guava jelly and the best bacon I've ever had on it. It came with the most amazing fries as well. I will literally go back just for this burger many times. Highly recommend

Yelp
It's important to remember that this is in a hotel. It's a cute hotel restaurant/bar in a hotel, but it's still in a hotel....and it has the food of a standard hotel restaurant. The food was solid but nothing particularly notable. I had a Cobb salad and French fries which were okay, though they seemed particularly busy when we arrived for lunch on a Friday so things like cream for our coffees never arrived. The bar is really cute and scenic - it definitely felt as though I was in Miami. It's definitely better for drinks (which we had later in the weekend), particularly if you're able to get a seat outside.
google avatar

Taylor T.

Yelp
My friends and I come here all the time for laid-back cocktails at The Canal Club inside the Scott Hotel. Seating is first-come, first-served--snag one of the plush couches indoors or head out to the sunny patio. The staff is super attentive and will come right up to you with your order. Cocktails here are deliciously inventive (and yes, they're a splurge at around $19-$20 each), but that's Old Town pricing--and every drink is flavorful and well-balanced, making it worth it. Definitely a cute, casual spot before a night out!

Yelp
While visiting Phoenix/Scottsdale for The Doctor's IEEE meeting, we decided to come to The Canal Club because it was in walking distance. Full disclosure, I was going to give them five stars because the car out front. It was Kismet. I didn't even know they had one and yet we connected. As you can see from the photos, I was dressed and matching that car, it was my car soulmate. I wanted that car bad and had not even had a morsel of food from The Canal Club. Lucky for them, the food was very good, and the atmosphere was wonderful. The restaurant is located in The Scott Resort & Spa. Once I was peeled off the car and we walked inside the resort, I felt like I was in another place. I have only been to Cuba once and that was a quick in and out trip through Canada to see Roy Cooder and the Buena Vista Social Club, so have nothing to compare The Canal Club against except for the feel to me. But it reminded me of Cuba and that was enough for me. We started with the Ceviche (shrimp, lime, cucumber pico de gallo). This was simple and clean but had a nice fresh flavor to it. For entrees (since there were three of us), we decided to each get a different entrée so we can all sample them. We got the Green Chile Chicken pizza (crispy edge flour tortilla, braised chicken, smoked bacon, black bean purée, pico, Oaxaca cheese, micro cilantro), Pollo al Horno (grilled chicken thigh, black beans, rice, petite green salad and the Gaucho Steak (spiced Skirt Steak, poblano chimichurri, masa potato cakes). All three dishes were excellent. The pizza was a little different, but good nonetheless. I love chicken thighs, and these were well done. The steak was nicely done and the poblano chimichurri & masa potato cakes complemented the chicken. We did not do dessert because we were stuffed, although I wanted to try the donut holes. The service was excellent and our server (don't remember his name, but he is in the photo) was cheerful and helpful and on top of us, but not in a bad way. We had a great time, and I was happy we didn't have far to walk, although I would have preferred to drive back in that amazing car. This was a lovely surprise and The Canal Club did a great job.

Yelp
Went here for brunch and thought it was so cute. The place is located in a hotel and the decor from the outside of the hotel all the way to the inside of the restaurant were nicely decorated to match the theme of the place. My group ordered the ceviche to share, which I thought was delicious, it came with plantain chips and tortilla chips, but I liked the plantain chips between the two because I felt the tortilla chips tasted burnt. For my entree, I chose the gaucho steak, which I thought was perfectly cooked, however there could have been a bit more flavor. I feel like maybe they thought the chimichurri would be the flavor factor but it just fell a bit short. Overall, our waitress was super nice and we enjoyed the experience.

Keerthana R.

Yelp
I came here for my birthday. The decor is mid-century modern with a tropical lounge feel. Retro vibes with an island-inspired theme. I went there for a brunch and ordered pulled chicken Torta and pervian hash. The quantity was good and more than sufficient. Taste was equally good. I preferred to sit indoor. Outdoors are very beautiful too. The drink menu is equally impressive with a selection of tropical cocktails. The service is friendly and attentive. They seem to genuinely care about making sure you're having a good time without being overbearing. Tips: Perfect for groups: The spacious seating and sharing friendly dishes make Canal Club a great spot for group dinners or celebrating with friends. The large booths and communal tables allow for good conversation and a lively atmosphere.

Yelp
Great place for an afternoon summer drink. The vibe is romantic and chic. Feels like an old school movie set. Service was great, Bartenders are a bit pretentious but that is part of the vibe. Cant wait to come back.

Yelp
Such a fun and nostalgic place. The chairs reminded me of my mama/the chairs I had growing up, so they won me over with that alone. The food was bomb!!!! I had the cubano sandwich....Jesus himself made it. It was so flavorful. The fries were fresh, perfect combo of crisp and crunch. Helen and Maude drink was very refreshing on a July day. We were the ONLY customers there, so the service was top-notch.
google avatar

Leslie B.

Yelp
Que delicia! A place where the food is as good as the aesthetics! The restaurant and the hotel are so beautiful, I wanted to take pictures everywhere. I had the chilaquiles, French toast, and coffee, no notes all delicious. The service was also good. 10/10 #leslieapproved

Cornell O.

Yelp
Good atmosphere bad service. I've been sitting here for 28 minutes and I have yet to have received even an introduction to who's working the tables. The server has introduced herself to the couple that has sat down 10 minutes AFTER me and the party of 7 sitting down before me don't even have their drinks or apps yet.
google avatar

Katia M.

Yelp
The ambiance for starters is stunning. If you want to feel like you're in a Havana club, this is it. It has retro flair with mid century dining nooks, an open air patio with an outdoor fireplace, and White Lotus vibes inside. The service was great, with our server suggesting things on the menu. I went with the pork with an over easy egg and the potatoes. The egg yolk smothered the potatoes and complimented the braised pork so well. The other two folks I came with got the avocado toast and were disappointed, based on the small amount of avocado and the bland flavor. But if you order the right thing on the menu, it's a huge hit. They have lots of non traditional breakfast items like the one I got that are truly great. The coffee was also great. Will be returning!
google avatar

Madeline C.

Yelp
This has got to be one of my favorite restaurants in Scottsdale. The food and drinks are absolutely delicious and it has the best atmosphere! The outdoor patio is so beautiful and relaxing. Definitely a favorite!
google avatar

Jordan E.

Yelp
Made reservations for the patio, which was perfect for me and my friend. It's much more peaceful outside, the inside bar area is much louder and difficult to hear. If you are looking for that vibe, then sit inside! But we wanted to talk and the outside was perfect. I ordered the Ceasar salad and it might be one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life. The added avocados give it a delicious richness and the dressing has a bit of a kick, so it's far from your basic ceasar. My friend ordered the Cubano which was also delicious. Our service was great and over all it was a perfect dinner and evening!
google avatar

Stacie M.

Yelp
Cute restaurant in a hotel. Came in on a Sunday evening and there were a couple of other people seated. We sat outside which was super cute. Inside was vibey too. My sister and I both got a salad and added salmon. Mine was absolutely delicious. Dressed perfectly and salmon cooked perfectly.
google avatar

Amanda W.

Yelp
Overall not too bad. Split the paella with the table, it didn't really remind me of paella but was good. The queso was pretty good! A unique taste. The Cuban Cesar was spicy! Just a heads up in case you didn't know, and $10 to add steak - not really worth it, it's thin and doesn't taste that great. Cute drink names. Had to ask for water three times as there was something little herbs floating in my first two glasses.
google avatar

Mark M.

Yelp
Had an enjoyable evening here last week. This is a really cool hotel and the lobby has the canal Club restaurant and bar in it. I'm going to go back for brunch one day because the outside eating area looks great. One thing you need to be careful about they do add the tip right on to your bill at the end and if you're not paying attention you will double tip. Definitely kept me from giving it a five-star rating. Service is great though. A little pricey but definitely worth it.
google avatar

Yelp
The Canal Club at The Scott Resort in Scottsdale offers a stylish atmosphere with a vintage Havana vibe, lush greenery, and chic decor. It reminded me of my travels to Florida and Cuba. I recently visited for a bachelorette brunch, and loved everything about the place--the food, the vibes, and the friendly staff. I had the Cubano sandwich, which was fantastic with crunchy bread and great flavors. My friend enjoyed the Pulled Chicken Torta, but wasn't blown away so she ordered French toast dish and it was excellent. So the service was disappointing., Service here is often hit or miss, even when it's not crowded, and sometimes you have to go to the bar for assistance. The prices here are consistent with the brunch restaurants in the area. It's super trendy, but fun Parking can be tricky, so ride-sharing is recommended. Despite the service issues, I would still come back for the food and atmosphere.

Yelp
The Canal Club in Scottsdale, AZ brings 1930s Havana feels! The restaurant, bar and lounge area offer a casual, yet elegant ambiance. We couldn't resist to order Cubano sandwich - juicy braised pork, ham, baby swiss, pickled onions, sweet and spicy pickles, chipotle aioli, Bolillo roll. Delicious! It did take a long time to ask for our bill and it took 5+ minutes to get our bill. Other than that the service is really good and attentive. I felt perhaps it's summer time and they were not fully staffed. We were not in a hurry anyways - we were on vacation!

Kalen S.

Yelp
I live locally in Scottsdale and have come to the Scott and Canal Club several times per year for lunch, happy hour or dinner with friends. I have always been greeted by friendly valet attendance at the front drive. It appears the hotel has eliminated their valet service as I did not see a Podium or an attendant when I pulled up. Self parking is available but limited and I don't like having to park so far from the door and walk into the hotel or back to my car after dark or if it's during the hot summer months I guess I will need to entertain my guests elsewhere. Such a shame as I always enjoy my visits to the Scott and the canal club. The valet service is what elevated this to the "next level" experience.

Yelp
I am in love with this place. Super cute and spacious, I love how they decorate the place. It's just so cute, good for coffee, brunch with friends, or romantic date night! We got to try their steak and salmon, steak was good and I liked the portion. Steak was big! And the sauce came with it was good and spicy. Salmon was good and the vegetables came with was yummy. Like their food isn't exceptionally good, but still yummy! Can't wait to come back here time to time and enjoy their coffee or brunch!

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant and seating area. Highly recommend reservations. The food and service were good too. Would love to go back during the day for brunch.

Yelp
I booked the lobby lounge for a surprise 50th Anniversary party for my parents and it was absolutely wonderful! So many people commented on how beautiful the space was (beautiful decor and an outdoor feel with air conditioning!) and pictures were so pretty no matter the angle. The food was delicious as well. Korinne, Kennedy, and Bastian attended to every need and several guests commented on their kindness and attentiveness. They kept the party and food flowing seamlessly. I would recommend The Canal Club as an event venue any day and will certainly be back!

Yelp
Went for a girls brunch and could not have been more pleased with the service. From checking in, the staff was attentive and were able to accommodate our requests to move umbrellas around in as the sun was shining directly into our faces. It was only 1/3 full when we arrived, but when making the reservation, it said that it was the last available reservation which caused unnecessary stress, so if you're hoping to dine here, keep that in mind. They have lots of availability to take walk ins. The purple potatoes were everyone's favorite, as well as the waffles. They don't have bottomless mimosas, but a bottle of prosecco was $40 and splits well for 4 people. The restaurant in and of itself is beautiful, and with 70 degree weather out and the sun shining, the patio was a great place to be. Our waitress even gave us recommendations on where to take our group to next, thank you!

Yelp
Love the vibe of this restaurant. And the hotel that it's located in is super trendy. The ceviche with the plantain chips was out of this world. Seriously the best I've ever had. The shrimp was so fresh. Prepared very well -- there's nothing more annoying to me than when shrimp has not been cleaned well and then pairing it with the plantain chips was perfect. They were perfect to scoop with the ceviche. For my entrée, I opted to get the skirt steak with chimichurri. I was not planning on eating the potato masa bc I wasn't in the mood for potatoes, but omg - am glad I did. The steak was cooked perfectly. Not too chewy. Super moist and juicy. The chimichurri and potato masa were a lot more spicy than I was expecting, but they were so delicious. All the ingredients were fresh and the presentation was beautiful. Service was good as well. Food came out super quick.

Yelp
The highlight [restaurant wise] of my sister's bachelorette weekend for sure! So so delicious and well priced. The restaurant was located in a resort/hotel and was soo cute and aesthetic. The service was standard and professional, nothing super special. My sister got her drink on the house in honor of her celebration!

Yelp
The vibes are awesome - the food and service was so so. I went for a business dinner and thankfully I liked my team because the service was incredibly slow. We did the restaurant week and it took over 2 hours for 3 courses when the restaurant wasn't that busy. Here's what I got: Ceviche- good but too much pico and wayyyyyy too many plantation chips. That could have been a meal. The lamb chops were good! I could really taste the mole flavor but these were tasty. The tres leches for dessert was inconsistent. Some bites felt like I was eating tres leches and others felt like sponge cake. It was beautiful presentation. Would come back for a drink in the lobby/bar but not sure about a sit down dinner

Yelp
Today was my first time going to The Canal Club and I had a great experience. We went here because we wanted to try something new and since it's restaurant week, we knew we would be able to try a a big portion of their menu without breaking the bank. The food was pretty good, my chicken was a little dry and it felt like there was a lot of rice and beans and not a whole lot of chicken. The lamb however was excellent and their appetizers and desserts were great as well. All very flavorful and plated very nicely. They have a decent cocktail menu as well, only thing is that they're a bit on the higher side for price. The staff were great and the ambiance of the place was very classy. The restaurant is located in a resort so great place to eat if you're staying there. Overall would recommend this place as a date or hangout spot.

Yelp
This spot is located inside of The Scott's hotel. It's a whole vibe, quaint inside and outside seating. Our waitress was Halle and she was super nice, helpful and attentive. Food was on point. We had the Shrimp Ceviche & The Cubano sandwich. The sandwich was as definitely night for two people. This sandwich was DELICIOUS- the braised pork was cooked perfectly and the butter pickles and pickled onions just made this sandwich. MUST TRY! Sit outside and enjoy the breeze and music from the pool area.

Yelp
Absolutely fell in love with this place. The food was absolutely delicious. Don't even get me started on the drinks. Ms Angel was the absolute best bartender and the sweetest person ever!!! I asked her to surprise me on making me a drink and she did every time. The food was delicious from the bean dip to the Cuban Sandwich I had. I will say that the server was ok. She maybe checked in on us ones and kinda seemed bothered when I asked for something. Over all it's a must for the summer.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel with fabulous service. Intimate feel that draws you into another world. The food was fantastic, we started with the tostones and ceviche! They were both delicious. Then we had the steak and salmon. I think I liked the steak over the salmon, but both were prepared perfectly.

Yelp

Yelp
Such a fun space to sit for a while and get some work done. The entire aesthetic here is like stepping into Tulum or Little Havana. It's enough to fool you into thinking you've left AZ. Service at the bar isn't the greatest as they weren't very attentive but that wasn't a huge concern for me since I was going to be there a while. The French toast was delicious and packed with flavor, the avocado toast wasn't anything to write home about but the ingredients were fresh. Overall it was what you'd expect price wise for a resort, but I'd be back just to feel like I'm on a tropical island.
