"Former Atlanta mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms was asked to leave the Perimeter Mall location of Capital Grille on April 15 for wearing leggings, which the restaurant considers 'gym attire,' according to their dress code policy. The dress code prohibits gym attire, sweatpants, tank tops, hats, clothing with offensive language or images, and exposed undergarments. Bottoms later observed a woman dressed similarly enter the restaurant without being asked to leave, raising questions about inconsistent dress code enforcement. Other comments and photos on social media suggest previous patrons have dined in casual attire, such as jeans and sweatsuits, at this location." - Beth McKibben

Very nice and mature environment for any occasion. We were there to celebrate a birthday and had a private room. The table was elegantly set and even had a birthday card on the table for the birthday girl. Our server was Gustavo and was excellent. He was so professional and accommodating and funny lol.He kept us not only serviced but throughly entertained. I would definitely recommend asking to be seated in his area.He is amazing. I definitely will be back for our next event.

My husband had the best birthday experience here at Capital Grille. The restaurant had cozy, comfortable vibe with low lights. Our server was super sweet and helpful in suggesting us the vegetarian/pescatarian options. The burrata cheese with grilled tomatoes that she suggested was outstanding. The sea bass was just melting in the mouth. I absolutely loved the food here. It is worth the money every dollar you spend. They had given us complimentary dessert for my husband's birthday. It was so sweet of them and the creme brulee cheesecake was yummm!! we will be visiting sometime soon again. Thank you for your food and amazing service.

Great food. Got several apps that included the prosciutto wrapped cheese, tuna tartare, calamari. Entrees included the porcini rubbed 15 year balsamic glazed ribeye, New York steak, tuna with sesame and sides were the brussel sprouts and potato au gratin. As expected the quality of food was top notch and service (slow in the beginning) was great overall.

I love dining at Capital Grille. I’ve visited for my birthday and Valentine’s Day this year. The atmosphere and regulars are always great whether you’re there for dinner or to watch a game at the bar. Damon provided excellent service at the bar last night and all of the staff are attentive to each patron. Highly recommend the salmon and asparagus.

Visited The Capital Grille for my birthday dinner last week! Appetizers: For our appetizers, we got the Prosciutto Mozzarella, Brussels Sprouts, and Truffle Fries. All of our appetizers were absolutely incredible, ESPECIALLY the Brussels Sprouts. The Brussels Sprouts are infused with a soy flavor and they vanished from our table in an instant because of how much everyone loved them. The Prosciutto Mozzarella was a close second, I really loved the pork-wrapped Mozzarella. The Truffle Fries were the weakest of the appetizers that we ordered, but still were good. Entrées: We ordered the Filet Mignon, the Seared Citrus Glazed Salmon, and the Wagyu Burger. Out of everything I tried, I enjoyed the Wagyu Burger the most, and the Filet Mignon the least. The Filet Mignon was honestly just okay, but the Wagyu Burger and Salmon were packed with flavor. Drinks: For drinks we got the Stoli Doli and a Mojito. Both were great! I was more a fan of the Mojito though, it was very fresh and had a lot mint in it which I felt left my breath feeling very fresh as well. Dessert: I got a free dessert since it was my birthday dinner, one was a rich chocolate fudge cake, and the other was a Raspberry Cheesecake Crème Brûlée. I wasn't a huge fan of the fudge, but the Crème Brûlée was to die for. I wish I ordered more of it LOL. Service: Service was just okay. I feel like our server was very tired and gave us slight attitude at times. It wasn't anything too bad but I was not a huge fan of the energy. I did get a birthday card though and that was very sweet. Atmosphere: Romantic and dimly-lit interior. Cute date spot. Also very historic (makes sense based on the name haha).

Great food sides are for two, got a private room for six. . Spent about $1,300.00 including tip . It’s not about the money it’s about great friends & laughter plus good food

My sirloin and lobster entrée was delicious, portion size was on the small side, but was enough for me. The à la cart side of mashed potatoes was slightly soupy, but had a good flavor. I also ordered them beet salad, which was very good, I would not have chosen pistachios to add to it because they are so small and hard, would have rather had walnuts or pecans. The server, who was from Augusta, can’t remember her name, was fantastic! My partner enjoyed his 15 year aged ribeye.

I came here with a friend for some cocktails and appetizers and will definitely be back again. The bartenders Ashton and Corine were so accommodating, helpful and overall made my night. I got the oysters and crab cocktail which were so fresh and delicious and the martinis with hand stuffed bleu cheese olives were to die for. Definitely check this place out if you’re looking for a nice spot for dinner dates or cocktails!

Yelp
What a place! Note first, so you are prepared, there is dress code. I came during lunch and the parking lot was busy but inside was not. Service was top notch white linen experience where they clear each utensil at each course and scrap your bread crumbs after each course. I had the Salmon Mango Avocado Salad and it was DEVINE! The food took a little bit to come out which did cause me to be late getting back to work, but it wasn't horrible. Water was filled by every passing server whenever half way full. The restaurant itself was dark lite and minimal music. The buzz was around everyone talking. Yet this is a big location and seems to operate well. Enjoyed and will be back.

Yelp
This was my first time at this establishment, and after reading the reviews, I was excited to try it. My boyfriend wanted to surprise me by taking me out on Valentine's Day. He made the reservation and was so excited about it that I didn't do it. Our reservation was for 5:30 PM, so we left home at 4:00 PM since we live an hour away. When we arrived, I loved the ambiance--it was a very nice-looking place, at least from what I could tell on my way to the bathroom. However, the host staff's service was where the experience started to falter. My boyfriend reserved the only seats available at the time, which were at a high top table (something I dislike). As we walked to our seats in the bar area, he noticed we were heading to a high top and asked the host if we could get a regular table instead. Before we could reach the hostess counter, another hostess told us, "No, that's what they reserved," so we returned to the high top. At that point, I was trying to make myself comfortable with the fact that we had to sit in the bar area. A water server brought us some water, and we began to look at the drink menu. Ten minutes later, Demetrius came to our table and asked if we would like to order an appetizer. I mentioned that we would like to order drinks first, and he said he could get those for us. Our drinks arrived about eight minutes later, but before that, another server approached us to inform us that he would be our server for the evening. Unfortunately, he never returned to our table. Demetrius, on the other hand, was doing a great job trying to make our visit special. Twenty minutes into our experience, a booth beside us was seated, and it was clear that they were VIPs. The manager visited them three times, and multiple servers attended to their table. I even noticed another lady manager stop by as well, all while we were still waiting for our drinks. We finally received our drinks at the same time as the VIP table. For our first visit, this place was disappointing. They did not provide any information about the restaurant, the manager never came to our table, and we didn't feel like important guests at all. **Pros:** - The food was great. The lobster mac and cheese was delicious, and the wagyu steak was perfect. The tenderloin and lobster tails were amazing. - Demetrius was fantastic and funny. - Koren was at the bar. Although she wasn't helping us, I observed her interactions with other customers, and she was incredible. There was a couple who didn't know what dessert to choose, and she surprised them with a small cheesecake because they ordered crème brûlée. That's the kind of service that keeps people coming back. **Cons:** - Customer service from the hostess and management was lacking.

Yelp
The food is always amazing as well as the service! Such great ambiance!! I love their lamb chops, mashed potatoes and they have a really good burger! The special with the burger and wine was

Yelp
10/10 Wine was amazing and the service was even better! We opted out of food this go round but every meal looked absolutely delicious.

Yelp
Nice restaurant and atmosphere. Started with the clam chowder and it was excellent. Creamy almost decadent with great flavor. The table shared the calamari which was fine. We did family style with the appetizers. Spinach, asparagus, mashed potatoes and lobster mac n cheese. The asparagus and spinach were just ok. I would say both were a little overcooked and lacked some flavor. The mashed potatoes and lobster mac n cheese were the star. The mashed potatoes were soo creamy and had enuf salt without being too much. The lobster mac n cheese was outstanding. The noodles were perfect al dente, the cheese was creamy with generous portions of lobster. I know there is a saying to order steak from a steak restaurant and that is true in this case. I went with shrimp and lobster risotto for a little lighter fare. The risotto was overcooked and the flavor was off. I won't totally downgrade the rating because everyone enjoyed their steaks and you could tell they were perfectly cooked as ordered. We had a wine Oenophile (wine enthusiast) with us and he was in charge of the wine. He searched and ordered for the table. We were served the 2022 version vice the 2021 he ordered. I would not have noticed the difference but he did when they presented the bottle. He asked about it and was told it was the same. He ordered another bottle that was closer what he was looking for. They followed all of the other wine etiquette as far as giving him the cork etc. The service was on point for the meal. In all a good experience, the veggies can use a little work, the other sides and starters were amazing. The risotto was a miss but of course the steaks were good. calamari seared scallop and lobster risotto

Yelp
Capital Grille never disappoints me, no matter the location. Every time I've eaten at any capital grille I was completely satisfied. My steak is always done to perfection and the mashed potatoes are amazing. The Mac and cheese however was just a bit too creamy, but once I let it sit and ate it the next day, it wasn't as creamy. The French onion soup was delicious, it didn't have that sweet taste like many French onion soups, it was perfectly savory. We sat at a booth in the bar area and the service was good. I enjoyed the bar area for a more lively, but still intimate dinner. Like a nice date but not too deep, you'd be able to relax your shoulders.

Giselle S.

Yelp
I have been to several across the country, this one certainly does not disappoint. Went there for new years early for some apps and a to go order and it was lovely. Service was great, ambiance was old school and even when we ate the food at home it was still excellent! The cheesecake was to die for! I can't remember what it was exactly called but the appetizer with the mozzarella and toast points was one of my favorites, definitely a caprese feel, but better. Veal with mushrooms, ribeye and creamed spinach were wonderful. Lobster Mac was great, I will just order with no bread crumbs next time. Overall, certainly did not disappoint!

Tyron H.

Yelp
Noah delivered phenomenal service and was communicative, professional and attentive. Definitely a master at his craft. By far the best bartender I've encountered in the past decade. I ordered the 10 oz filet Mignon. It was delectable, tender, and moist. The perfect portion. Drinks were delicious. Ambiance was business casual, intimate and comfortable. The volume was relatively low. Perfect for dates, business meetings or catching up with sophisticated friends.

Yelp
Made a spur of the moment reservation and wasn't able to get a table in the main dining room for the desired dinner time, so made a reservation for the bar instead since they had one slot left. Thought that we would be forced to dine on the high top bar stools, but was just happy to get any reservation. When we walked in, we were most pleasantly surprised that their was a luxurious booth by the bar and THAT'S where we were actually seated. I ordered the dry aged NY Strip with lobster Mac and cheese, and my taste buds were simply blown away. The steak was cooked PERFECTLY to my liking, and seasoned the way a good steak should be - you the point where there was flavor in every bite, but only to where there seasoning complimented the quality of the meat and didn't overshadow it. The Lobster Mac and cheese was as delectable and decadent as I had heard, rich, creamy, and flavorful. Had the creme brulee for dessert, and it did NOT disappoint! The waiter was very attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to make itt an AWESOME experience. Just an all around wonderful restaurant, and I can't wait to go back!

Felecia D.

Yelp
I attended a dinner sponsored by a lab. We had a choice of filet mignon, chicken or salmon with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach sides. The ambience was wonderful, the service was good. The chicken, which I had, was delicious. I did not taste the mashed potatoes because I had rice with my chicken. The creamed spinach, however, was horrible! I NEVER had spinach taste so bad. Spinach, when cooked, is typically very soft and delicate. This green plant was fibrous, tough and tasteless. I felt like I was eating undercooked large weeds. If you are an organization sponsoring a dinner or just an individual dining in this restaurant you might want to skip the creamed spinach. It's truly disgusting!

Christa F.

Yelp
We chose this restaurant because we were looking for a nice dining experience. We were early and still immediately seated. The waitstaff were very attentive. The food was amazing . I had the Sliced Filet Mignon and my husband had the Bone in Ribeye. We had the Lobster Mac and cheese as well as the Parmesan Truffle fries. We were stuffed and still took food home. If you have the chance I would highly recommend trying this restaurant's!

Gail G.

Yelp
We ate at the bar and were served by Ashton. She made recommendations, was on top of everything and was extremely & personable. We ordered Lump Crab w/remoulade & Lobster Mac & Cheese as our appetizers and they were wonderful. And, since it's my birthday, we took Ashton's recommendation of the Creme Brulee cheesecake w/berries. It's my husband's favorite new cheesecake. The lump crab with remoulade is always my favorite thing to eat there - even more than the excellent steaks! The bar area was lit perfectly, we found seats immediately, the music was not too loud and there were basketball games on 2 different sets above the bar. This was a perfect evening with perfect food and drinks and perfect service .... OF COURSE we'll be back! Thanks for helping me have a laid back birthday!

Yelp
Phenomenal experience! A friend had a birthday dinner in a private dining room at The Capital Grille. This being my first experience, this was such an elevated experience. It is located on the outskirts of Perimeter Mall and has free parking and there is plenty of it. When we arrived, there were two very friendly young ladies at the host stand and they both greeted us as we walked in. We got seated and Natalie, our server, came over right away and offered the water. She then took our drink orders and so kindly waited for the remainder of our party to arrive to go over the menu and the specials. She gave great recommendations and servers favorites to help us decide what to eat. I ordered the wedge, sirloin medallions and lobster tail with a side of mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious! I also ordered the coconut cream pie for dessert which was absolutely phenomenal! I had so much food that I had to take half my meal and half my dessert home. It made an awesome dinner for the next day! I will definitely be back. Thank you for the stellar experience and 5 star food.

Ron S.

Yelp
The service, food and ambience were extraordinary. My wife and I were entertaining another couple and there were delighted as well. I ordered the sea bass with a side of crabmeat added that I had seen delivered to the table next to us. Unfortunately our server did not tell me it would add $23.00 to the $53.00 entree I was ordering, .

Michelle R.

Yelp
Went here for my birthday and as expected it was a really special place to have a birthday. The server was OK. I actually would've preferred a different server, but in general, nothing really bad happens happened. The server just was a little rushed and seemed unfocused. For instance, when he came over to take our order, he put down some dirty dishes that he was busing, and then, after he took our order, he picked the dishes back up. I would think it would be better to take the dishes all the way back, and then come back to the table and take an order. It was kind of gross looking at dirty dishes while I was ordering. He put them on the ledge behind my dates head. Another thing and not to be too fussy, but I ordered my steak rare and it definitely came back medium. I still ate it because they would have to redo it and I didn't want to waste it but I definitely would've enjoyed it more if it was cooked the way I prefer which is rare.

Yelp
On a recent visit to Atlanta from San Diego, I, my sisters and niece had dinner at the Capital Grille. What went well... EVERYTHING! Upon entering the reception was pleasant and we were seated immediately. Our server, "T" was pleasant, professional and timely. Menu items were plentiful and my Stoli Doli was delicious I had the beet salad, lamb chops mashed potatoes and asparagus and needed a carry out container. My dessert, Crème Brûlée was delish! Next visit it'll be at the top of my return to list!

Yelp
As a longtime fan of the Capital Grille, I was thrilled to see this OTP location open a few years ago at Perimeter Mall. While this restaurant doesn't boast the amazing skyline views of its Buckhead counterpart, the food, cocktails and service are equally outstanding. And the warm, upscale interior makes the Capital Grille an ideal spot for everything from a business lunch to a romantic dinner. On a recent business trip to Atlanta, I grabbed a seat at the spacious bar and enjoyed a perfectly cooked Filet Mignon with a creamy side of Mashed Potatoes and one of the restaurant's signature 'In Fashion' cocktails. I finished off the meal with an amazing slice of Capital Grille Cheesecake, one of the best reasons to pay this steakhouse a visit. A wonderful addition to Perimeter's fine dining scene.

Kelli F.

Yelp
Food, service, and ambiance were all great. We had a great waiter, David! He was extremely attentive and friendly. The ambiance is really nice and classy. The Caesar salad is my favorite!! I also had the bone in ribeye and my daughter had the lump crab cake as her appetizer and lamb chops with mash potatoes as her dinner. Will definitely be visiting again real soon! I

Yelp
Decor: This place is very upscale in decor and will definitely make you feel like you like you're in the right place at the right time, you get, because they have clocks showing the time for different places all over the world. It's a very clean, open, and chic restaurant. Service: I highly recommend going to the bar and requesting Noah as your server. He always treat us very well, every visit! I truly think he's the best, but my opinion may be biased, although I have been served by others as well. Drinks: THE ONLY REASON YOU SHOULD COME TO THIS RESTAURANT IS FOR THE DRINKS. Point blank period! Also make sure Noah is making them. Food: This was one of my biggest DISAPPOINTMENTS in a upscale restaurant I ever felt. My sister and I had come here multiple times just for the drinks before we had ever decided to dine in. We were an absolute disbelief, and how terrible and outright disgusting the food was. It was the sides that were bad and the steak was mediocre, but we have vowed to never come back for anything but the drinks and I honestly hope someone else's experience can be much better than what we had. Price: Upscale place with upscale prices. It's worth paying for the drinks and not worth paying for the food!

Yelp
This Capital Grille is not maintaining the Brand's high standards. We have enjoyed well over 50 meals at Capital Grille in Florida. Last night was our first visit to the Dunwoody location. We were so looking forward to this special night. While there were two bright spots that deserve recognition, the failures far overshadowed the entire evening. The bright spots were our bartender, Corinne, who was bubbly and energetic! The second was our server, Daisy, who was prompt, professional, kind and a lovely person. Where it went awry was first our steaks. They were so incredibly over seasoned, they were inedible. We have never sent anything back at a Capital Grille. The au gratin potatoes were also over seasoned. When Daisy asked how our meals were, we politely told her they were over seasoned. She apologized and took the plates back to be remade. We were seated near the kitchen, so I was privy to the exchange between Daisy and her Manager, Daniel Mendez. Mr. Mendez began arguing with Daisy about the meals coming back. She tried to politely explain the problem. He would not let her explain the problem and flat out berated her in a public space. It was completely uncalled for. Then, Mr. Mendez came to our table to "ask" about new plates. His demeanor was brash and overbearing. He spoke over me and my wife, telling us what he was going to do, instead of apologizing and asking what would make us happy. We were treated like 5 year olds who had done something horribly wrong, it was embarrassing and ruined what could have been a beautiful evening. We have made our last visit to this Capital Grille. I will drive the additional 20 minutes to give another location a chance to earn our support. I rarely feel so strongly about an imperfect night out, but take your patronage and hard earned money elsewhere.

Veronica N.

Yelp
Friday Date Night ! He had the salmon which he thoroughly enjoyed. We shared a side of the Lobster Mac and cheese which was full of flavor as usual but the pasta was a bit undercooked this time. We had the calamari for an appetizer. The calamari was freshly cooked but a bit too salty for my liking . Great atmosphere, Wonderful service.

K B.

Yelp
Exceptional service.. impeccable decor.... Classy ambiance.... The food is out of this world and worth every penny! If you sit at the bar or table same delightful service. I will always come back here

Shermika D.

Yelp
Capital grille is always a good look. Fantastic food and service. Alex was wonderful. I had the bone in rib-eye with extra seasoning and it was delightful. We shared sides such as fries, Spinach. Potatoes au gratin, and Brussels sprouts. Excellent top tier experience!

Josh L.

Yelp
Granted, you can't do lunch like this everyday, but when you can, get the Ribeye Sandwich. 10 out of 10!

Holly H.

Yelp
We had such an amazing experience at The Capital Grill for our anniversary. I had left a note in our reservation about the special occasion and we were pleasantly surprised by the thought and care that went into our service that evening. The food was excellent- I had the sesame tuna with brussel sprouts and my husband ordered Dry Aged Ny/kc Strip Au Poivre with Courvoisier Cream 14oz with Au Gratin. We both really enjoyed the meal and the ambience was very romantic. We would definitely come back for our special occasion.

Camille R.

Yelp
Love this place. The steaks are good it's not too overpriced. I always sit at the bar the bartenders are friendly and make good drinks

Kiran T.

Yelp
It was my first time dining here. Such a wonderful experience and a top notch place. We had a company lunch here and they were very kind and understanding when it came to our party and our decor. We had a private room with two long tables which can fit 16 people and we were 15 which was just a perfect fit. The ambiance is so elegant and romantic, added to that the food was amazing too. Be ready to spend a pretty penny for your lunch/dinner, but it's worth every cent. The Capital Grille is a outpost of the upscale steakhouse chain offers classic American fare and a clubby, refined setting. The Sea Bass, Steak, Crab Cakes and Lamb Chops were out of this world. The food was plentiful and prepared well. I had the Pan-Seared Sea Bass with Miso Butter, Shiitake Mushrooms, Asparagus and it was crazy flavorful, but that wasn't what keeps me wanting to go back, it was the mouthwatering cheesecake that really sealed the deal. My cocktail for the day was the "In Fashion" Russell's Reserve 10 Year small batch Bourbon, Grand Marnier, Black Walnut Bitters, orange ice sphere, and Amarena cherry. The drink was real smooth and had a great punch to it. The atmosphere is cozy and great and the servers were beyond amazing. Best dining experience I've had in a long time. Our waitress was fantastic and walked us through all of the entrees giving us a picture perfect idea of what we would be eating, she was very helpful. I was hesitant about the price but after enjoying our meals it just felt right, It's not an everyday meal kinda place, but for special occasions or dates it's on the top of my list. Ample free parking is available in front of the restaurant. I will definitely be back again for sure.

Brittany C.

Yelp
BEWARE! Car break-in's at this restaurant are an issue. We ate there last night and a friend in our group had his truck broken into along with another persons who was also eating at the restaurant. Apparently this was not an isolated event and break-in's in this area happen often. Use caution when parking here and eating. Food and service was great however the security for the parking lot is lacking!

Janae T.

Yelp
My fiancé took me here for Valentine's Day and it was amazing. I was recommended this steak which was 3 times the size of me so it also happily made it to breakfast and lunch the next day. It was seasoned and cooked perfectly!! and she added freshly grated black pepper. Delicious! And omg the mashed potatoes are by far the best that I've ever had. I have to find the recipe!

Anissa C.

Yelp
My fam and I came for. Dinner and everting was DELICIOUS! I didn't take any pics of the food because I was too busy eating it! I ordered the French onion soup as an appetizer and it was the best I've ever had! I also ordered the lobster and tenderloin and both were outstanding .. We will definitely be back..

Julie R.

Yelp
Went here for a business lunch, and it was fantastic! The atmosphere is somewhat fancy and high-end, but I didn't feel out of place wearing business casual (jeans and a sweater). The seared salmon salad was to die for! The salmon, avocado, mango, and champagne vinaigrette was a superb blend of flavors. The service was top notch. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. I'll be back!

Lillian G.

Yelp
We had an absolutely great experience here. My sister and I celebrated the birth of her grandson with a mid-day hang-out between the 2 of us. The service and food were perfect! I wish I remembered the servers name.. Andrew? He only needed 1 more star on his lapel to be promoted and I know why- he gives absolutely wonderful service. From sampling the house martini, to recommending the best main course. He even offered a complimentary dessert sample since it was our first time there. The crab cakes were meaty, the steak had a wonderful char on the outside, and the drinks were worth every penny. Now I understand why this is one of my husband's favorite places to take his clients. Go for the food, but stay for the service experience! We were socially distanced too in seating!

Denise L.

Yelp
Dinner for one and always appreciate being treated well. Done restaurants treat you as a bother, do I really appreciate the hospitality. Filet and Au Gratin were delicious. Cozy and comfortable ambiance.

Lavinia I.

Yelp
Great experience as always! I had the blue point oysters appetizer and lobster bisque. Best ever! As the entree I had the tenderloin and butter poached lobster tails and they were perfect! Tenderloin was cooked perfectly as well as the lobster and the butter sauce was such a nice compliment. The Sam's mashed potatoes are also very creamy and delicious. The stoli doli is very refreshing and the creme brûlée cheesecake the perfect ending to an amazing meal!

Cedric N.

Yelp
Our eighth anniversary was delightful. Ramon Samaniego took great care of us. To start, my wife had the Stoli Doli; Stoli fresh pineapple infused vodka martini. We both had the lobster bisque with sherry. The Mrs. dined on the bone in filet and I had the double cut lamb rib chops. We shared the potatoes au gratin and the brussel sprouts. As a surprise, the restaurant provide us a delicious crème brûlée. Thank you all for a wonderful evening, great food, outstanding staff, and a very nice atmosphere. We will be back.

Tuan T.

Yelp
I was looking for a nice place for our 15th anniversary. I made the reservation online and left a note that i would like to have a nice seating for my 15th anniversary. That's all I was asking for. Upon our arrival, the hostess led us to our table. Surprisingly there was a congratulations card and some red hearts on the table. Leo was our waiter. He came and gave two champagne glasses. After he dropped off our main courses, he asked to take a photo of us with a digital camera. We thought it was for a restaurant bulletin board, but he came out with a printed photo that melted our hearts. I don't know what to say. We felt so much loved and it was one of the best experiences we had. Thank you again for making our 15th wedding anniversary so memorable . The food was delicious. We would definitely come back!

Liz P.

Yelp
We had a group of 15. They were able to accommodate us with only a 3hr notice. Customer service was great. Even though all of our party was not there at the same time, they didn't mind seating us. I had the French Onion soup for an appetizer. As my entre, I ordered the filet medium rare, and the lamb chops. For a drink, I ordered the Black-tie Margherita soo good! Someone ordered the calamari and they loved it. Good things. Calamari, wedge salad, French onion soup. The lamb chops - are the best I've had in a very long time. So-so items: lobster bisque was just okay. Two people ordered the risotto and hated it. Three of us ordered the filet and the meat seemed very rough. I am used to a tender cut of meat in the filet - I thought it was just me but they all were like that. I ordered it medium-rare. It looked it but .....something was off in the quality. For this to be a steakhouse I was very disappointed. I normally like the rib-eye but I know I can't finish it. I will give them another chance for the lamb but won't do the filet again.

Very exceptional dinning experience celebrating hubby's birthday! We enjoyed the staff, very professional and kind. We had a surprise champagne toast and dessert at the end..loved it.

Yelp
The Capital Grill Dunwoody Perimeter has always been consistently a top end steakhouse. On our recent visit I found that drink prices were way to high. $19.50 for a martini!!!. What was billed as a cup of onion soup came like warm and was probbaly served in a 1/3 cup.$44 forr a small piece of salmon that was overcooked! The bread basket is great. Excellent Caesar Salad, but no brown anchovies available. Very good strip steak Service was very attentive, but extemly aggressive on drinks. I got the feeling that serveers were trying to push up the bill. Very Expensive!

Yelp
Overall, food was good. For appetizers we ordered the clam chowder and lobster & crab cakes. The soup was fine and went well with the bread. Not the most spectacular clam chowder I've had, but it wasn't bad. I really liked the lobster & crab cake! It was flavorful and paired beautifully with lemon basil aioli! For mains, we ordered the tomahawk veal chop, filet mignon, sliced filet mignon, and the salmon. Both of the filets were cooked well, but the veal was overcooked. I really liked the addition of mushrooms and onions to the sliced filet, but wasn't getting a strong fig flavor from the essence. The salmon was also a tad too sweet for me. For sides, we ordered the mashed potatoes, Parmesan truffle fries, and asparagus. They were all good- especially the fries- as long as you got a fry with truffle and Parmesan. Most of the fries tasted like plain fries... Finally, for dessert we ordered the flourless chocolate espresso cake which was really good! I loved the cream on the side and the cake melded nicely with the tart raspberries. I wish more of the espresso flavor came through. I only tasted chocolate which I like, but was expecting to taste coffee as well. Service was poor. We had a reservation, but still had to wait to be seating as both hostesses were on the phone. Our waiter was also rude about allergies. Instead of reassuring us the salmon would be nut free, we got a lecture on how we should have included it on open table. Was the food good enough to come back? Maybe...but there are so many other good steakhouses in Atlanta with much better service.

Yelp
My wife and I go to the Capital Grille 2 to 3 times a year for special occasions (today is her birthday). Normally we go at dinner but wanted to try the lunch plates. Usually, the food and service are impeccable but today the service was less than satisfactory. The food was excellent as usual. Our server never offered or delivered the customary bread/butter. I had to ask 2 times for a glass of iced tea and then she took forever to offer a refill. Every other visit their servers have been top notch. This one had zero personality and gave me the impression she was doing us a favor. Normally I tip 20% on the entire bill but only left her 10% due to the sucky attitude/service.

Yelp
After Christmas shopping at Perimeter mall I was in the mood for good seafood and having already tried every restaurant in the area many times already I decided to give Capitol Grill a try for take out. Their online site is user-friendly so it did not take long to find what I wanted and to put my order in. Once you order they email you with the exact time to come for pickup. The small parking lot has a sign near the front entrance where curbside orders are to be picked up at. All I had to do was call upon arrival and an amicable lady brought my food food out, it was quick and easy. My husband and I both ordered the seabass which came with asparagus and portobello mushrooms, and also a side of brussel sprouts which we shared. We both loved our meals, the seabass, asparagus, and mushrooms were cooked to perfection and tasted fresh, the miso butter that came with the meal paired well with the entire dish. Surprisingly our brussel sprouts were still very tasty even after the 40 minute drive home. Not sure what took me so long to try Capitol Grill but I will definitely be back. This is a great spot for a special occasion or if you just want to impress someone like me who is a foodie and loves good food. There is outdoor seating and I would suggest making reservations.

Yelp
Ordered the "special" salmon Oscar. was unaware there was a $23 surcharge for a dab of crab a bland bernaise sauce and a single asparagus! 67.00! My wife ordered a filet medium but was served closet to rare. returned it for more cooking!

Yelp
I went to the Capital Grille with my best friend while we were in Atlanta to see the Pixies concert. Lamar was our server and let me tell you, he was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and had an amazing personality. He nailed every part of the service and made our experience the best. I could go on an on about how amazing he was. We ordered two apps and one was out of stock, Chef Zack stopped by the table to let us know and was really nice and explained the situation and got us something to replace it. We asked Lamar about places to go out, he sent Josh our way and we talked to him for a minute and he gave us some pointers. He also had wonderful conversation and was great to speak with. The food was wonderful, the drinks were great, but let me tell you, the service was absolutely outstanding. Shout out again to Lamar, thanks so much.

Yelp
So it takes a lot to impress me.. and price is not a driving factor. This place, however, is really expensive but 100% worth it. I was traveling today so didn't have a lot of good things to eat so I was looking for sobering satisfying and close to my hotel. I can't across this place that looked pretty promising. When we got there, we saw a sign that indicated nice attire. No hats, tank tops, sweat pants or hats allowed. I noticed everyone had on suits or fancy outfits so, having been traveling all day, I felt a little awkward but was happily accepted by the host. I ordered a mojito and the sea bass with shiitake mushrooms and asparagus. My Guantanamo ordered the tenderloin and lobster tail. We shared a table helping of mash potatoes and sautéed spinach and garlic. I told them I was gluten intolerant and they substituted the sauce for some garlic butter sauce which was divine. The entree was absolutely amazing! I have literally never enjoyed a meal so much. My habana meal was fantastic as well. We had large enough portions to feed us both and have leftovers. The waiter was very attentive and helpful. When he asked us if we wanted dessert, he offered a couple of gluten free options as well as options for my husband. In Our conversation, it was mentioned that we were celebrating his birthday and the waiter immediately told us to hold on, he will be right back. He returned with a flourless mocha cake, homemade whipped cream and a cheesecake on a plate that said happy birthday, free of charge. The meal and retro drinks each was about $175 but was absolutely spectacular. If you're looking for a fancy night out, this is the place to go. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
If you have the chance to visit The Capital Grille when they have The Generous Pour event, don't wait to book your reservation. This is an opportunity to taste about 7 wines and then have one of them continuously poured throughout the evening. What a wonderful evening celebrating a friends birthday. Although the restaurant was packed we still felt perfectly attended to throughout the evening. Our reservation was at 7:45pm and we were seated immediately. We were in for a treat being served our first wine immediately because we had 4 others to get through before dinner. We ordered calamari, burrata and lobster crab cake for apps and they were all perfectly seasoned and tasted great. My main dish was the lobster which was broiled and tender. We also shared sides including asparagus, mashed potato, Brussels sprouts and cream of corn. The ambiance was lovely and intimate and we enjoyed about 7-10 glasses of wine each and enjoyed the night.

Yelp
Excellent! Simply one of the 5 best places to impress and get a delicious meal in Atlanta.

Yelp
I came to Atlanta on business for a few nights, and each night chose to come to The Capital Grille for dinner. I sat in the bar both times and had the best service. I love the food at capital grille and their drink menu is phenomenal, but I do have to say the service is above and beyond at this location. Could not recommend it more. Next time I'm in town on business I will 100% come back.

Yelp
We went back to to TCG for my birthday weekend . Everything thing was as delicious as the first time. My hubby requested the same waiter, Guido ahead of our arrival and he did not disappoint from beginning to end, He is simply the best! This time our daughter joined us and ordered the truffle fries as one of the appetizers. She's never silent but those fries lulled her into a moment of silence . Yes, she said they were that GOOD. The hubby agreed. The calamari could have been fried a bit longer this time ( but I've been called a calamari snob). I ordered the sea bass in the mushroom sauce. I do not know what kind of magic Chef Mike used in that sauce and the seasoning atop that fish but it was delicious and mushroomy ( okay so that's not a word) but that's what I typed. It was damn good! My family ordered the ribeyes. My daughter said that it was good but not like the ribeye at Cabernet Steakhouse. She said that it need a sauce ( like the peppercorn sauce atop the boneless ribeye at Cabernet). I'm just sharing @TCG. Hubby loved his bone in crusted ribeye. I could not eat the lobster Mac so I took it home. There were only three pieces of lobster in the take home container. That was disappointing. That's why the 4 stars. I feel as if the restaurant owes me a replacement lobster Mac ... especially for what was paid for it. They probably won't...it was still good but won't revisit anytime soon.
