"I read that former Atlanta mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms says she was denied service at the Capital Grille’s Perimeter Mall location in Dunwoody on April 15 for wearing leggings, which staff reportedly categorized as “gym attire” under the restaurant’s dress-code policy. The site’s posted “Polite Notice” warns against gym attire, sweatpants, tank tops, hats, clothing with offensive language or images, and exposed undergarments, and Bottoms says she was also refused the option to sit in the bar area. She later reported seeing another woman who appeared dressed similarly enter and not leave, raising questions about inconsistent enforcement; commenters backed that up with photos and accounts of patrons dining there in jeans, medical scrubs, tank tops, jogging suits, neon jogger pants, and even a man who said he’d been served while wearing a Nike sweatsuit and Nike Air Jordan 11s. Eater contacted the Capital Grille in Dunwoody for comment, and the national chain also has a Buckhead location." - Beth McKibben
