The 10 Best Places To Get A Business Lunch In Center City

"Eating a giant steak drenched in a pool of buttery jus at lunch may mean an afternoon of Tums, but if you get one from The Capital Grille, it’s worth it. The Center City steakhouse has wood fixtures, white tablecloths, and is an easy place to kill time until your clients have to catch a train at 30th Street Station. The best thing the old-school spot has is a rich dry-aged NY strip that you can get on their lunch menu for $37 (cheaper than the $55 at dinner). This atmosphere is the right amount of laid-back, while still being nice enough to feel like a stiff, work thing." - candis mclean

The Capital Grille - Review - Center City - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"The Capital Grille is as traditional as they come, and it’s always a good choice for a classic steakhouse experience. This Center City chain has been around since the ‘90s, so it feels like stepping into a time capsule (albeit a charming one). It’s covered in red carpet, busts of rams and eagles, and gold-framed oil paintings. It draws everyone from corporate types and couples celebrating their anniversaries to cargo-short wearing tourists and kids of all ages who occasionally run amok. Don’t get it twisted—you’re not here for an intimate, fine dining experience. You’re here for the steaks. photo credit: The Capital Grille photo credit: The Capital Grille photo credit: The Capital Grille Whatever you order—from the dry-aged NY strip and the bone-in ribeye to the Tomahawk veal chop with sage butter and crispy prosciutto—will be cooked perfectly, and served alongside generous, faultless sides (you can’t go wrong with the parmesan truffle fries or potatoes gratin). Steer clear of the overdressed salads and non-traditional starters, especially the soggy fried calamari. But the dishes that pop up in a top search result for “Steakhouse,” like the icy shellfish tower, creamy lobster bisque, and the enormous mound of cheesecake, are all standouts. Kona-Crusted NY Stripphoto credit: The Capital Grille Filetphoto credit: The Capital Grille Lobster Mac and Cheesephoto credit: The Capital Grille Cheesecakephoto credit: The Capital Grille You’ll never have an earth-shattering meal at The Capital Grille, but you’ll never have a bad meal here, either. It’s friendly, familiar, and works for (almost) any occasion—even if it’s just popping in for a dirty martini, another relic that they’ve perfected." - Alison B. Kessler

So my wife and I decided to get dinner here last week. Let me tell you the ribeye steak with truffle butter was awesome along with the lobster or crb bisque. I believe it was the lobster, in any event it was good. Our server, Ian was efficient and on top of it. The general manager, Marty, was also making his rounds to make sure everyone was happy. Very good experience. We will be back. The drinks are also great.

Service and atmosphere were great; however food was quite bland and nothing special after spending over $100 on myself for my birthday dinner.

I am not one to leave reviews but I cannot express into words how wonderful this establishment made me feel after dining at the bar. Tom and Brian are phenomenal, the food was excellent. I was given a complimentary dessert for my birthday as well, 100% will be back.

My family stopped by Capital Grille in Philly for Father’s Day and we were all similarly blown away by our experience. Jessica was exceptional. We were all so impressed by her attentiveness and kindness. Our food was also wonderful which of course added to the experience, but the service was unrivaled. We will happily be back for another special occasion the next chance we get.

Bob was our server. He was excellent. Very knowledgeable. Ten stars for great service from Bob! Thank you!

Google
Great food and excellent service. The atmosphere here is very classy with fine tablecloths and settings. I had a steak salad. This place knows how to cook a steak rare. At too many places rare is interpreted as “medium.” Here, the waiter confirmed that I wanted my steak rare, and then ensured that it was properly prepared. Portion size was exceptional, with a good balance between steak and salad. The flourless chocolate cake is wonderful. I only wish that I had found this restaurant on the first day of my conference, instead of the last.

Yelp
We had an excellent meal at The Capital Grille! The service was impeccable - Matthew and Chef J were personable and knowledgeable. We were there to celebrate a family birthday and they made her night very special with confetti and a celebratory cake. The calamari and caesar salad were great apps, the steak and sides were cooked to perfection. The cocktails could've been a little better - (they were too strong but not in a good way). Lovely ambience and clean bathrooms!

Yelp
Our hotel wasn't too far from this Capital Grille, so we decided to give it a shot before heading to Lincoln Financial Stadium. As we walked in the restaurant was nice, clean and empty. So, we decided to just grab a seat in the bar area at the high chairs and table tops. The game was on so it was perfect for us to grab a bite, chill for a minute and then head out. Our waitress was very nice, attentive with making sure our drinks were refilled and asking if everything was ok. I didn't want to get too full because I wanted to try some cheesesteaks later. So, I went with the crabcake appetizer and the seared tenderloin with butter poached lobster tails. When the food first arrived, I thought it wasn't going to be enough because the tenderloins and lobsters were very small, almost bite size. However, those little things were filling! Anyway, the food was good but it was a bit pricey for the small amount that I had. I understand it's a steakhouse so it will be more on the higher side but it wasn't anything you can't get from another steakhouse. I would probably go again if back in the area. OOOO 4 out of 5 Afros

Yelp
Excellent dinner at a business event downtown. Service was excellent, had nice wine, and the appetizers and steak were top notch as well! One slight comment, the waiter was not sure where the oysters were from, is oyster snobs want to know! Had the filet with Bearnaise on the side!

Yelp
We stopped in at The Capitol Grille for some light snacks on an early Sunday afternoon. We sat in the bar area which is open seating. They have high table top seating and didn't have to have a reservation. We got an order of their scallops and crab cake. Both were really delicious the crab cake is decent size and can be shared between two people. It came with an excellent purse sauce. You got about six scallops and they were served with some rice on the side. Then I also got their lobster bisque soup. This is a great place to have a nice meal and enjoy yourself for a special occasion with friendly staff.

Yelp
It's been quite sometime since visiting a Capital Grille. King of Prussia Capital Grille did not disappoint. Stopped to see our favorite bartender Leighann before making our way to our table. Lobster crab cakes, filet, and Lobster Mac n cheese for dinner. With Creme Brûlée and espresso for dessert (loved my sugar stick). Dustin, Robert and my new friend Ashley from the 412, thank you for an amazing meal and superb service. Yinz guys rock! #Flyeaglesfly

Yelp
As a pre- Mother's Day celebration, I treated my mom to dinner at The Capital Grille Philadelphia... It was excellent! The ambiance was very relaxing as the evening lights had been turned down for the dinner sitting. It was very calming and relaxing. 5pm was a perfect time to go! There were people there but the Saturday evening crowd had not arrived yet. For our meal, we enjoyed the lobster bisque soup, the sliced filet mignon (medium rare) with cipollini onions, roasted wild mushrooms, fig essence. Our table sides we the sautéed spinach and Sam's mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious! The waiter Dan was excellent~ very friendly, attentive to detail and worked hard to ensure that we enjoyed our meal. The entire experience was phenomenal! I can't wait to return.

Yelp
We took 8 colleagues to The Capital Grill for a work dinner. A group of 8 can be loud so they seated us away from any other groups. It was a Monday night, not crowded, and it took them 15-20 minutes to prepare a table for us, which seemed a bit excessive. When seated they let us know there would be an automatic 18% gratuity because of the size of our party. The waiter we had a was a disaster, and now I wonder if they gave him our table knowing full well he would get a good tip regardless of the level of service we received. He missed people while taking orders, took incorrect orders, brought the wrong drinks, appetizers, and, entrees, forgot peoples drinks altogether, and didn't clear anything from the table. We ended up stacking plates on the front edge of the table until they were so precarious he finally removed them. He also brought things we didn't order, and upon being told "we did t order that" he would look around, shrug, and leave it anyway. Some of those things we were charged for and some we were not. The appetizers were excellent, and the entrees were good. The sides were solid and the desserts were hot or miss. Overall the cocktails were good, and they have an extensive selection of both cocktails and wine. This is a higher end restaurant using good ingredients, so I would expect the food to be excellent. Everyone enjoyed their meal overall and felt the portions were generous. Food: 5/5 Service: 2/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Value: 3/5

Yelp
We had a nice meal here. The appetizers were a mix of quality. The tuna tartare was very good but the bacon was pretty disappointing. The highlight was the shellfish tower, which was fresh and included oysters, shrimp, lobster, and crab. The steaks were excellent as you would imagine and they were very nice in being able to do different rubs and preparations on any cut of steak. The desserts were good, but didn't blow me away. Our waiter was very nice, but the food took a very long time to come out. He was very nice about it and brought us a free dessert but at a place like this, for the price, I would expect them to be better organized with their food service.

Yelp
We had the oysters and the lump carb cake and lobster the food was great. The service was excellent Bryan was a great host we really enjoyed ourselves

Yelp
It was my first night here in Philly for business, and this Capital Grille was within 7 minutes walking distance from the downtown Marriott. I was able to get seated right away at a high top table for 3 in the bar area. One of the bar tenders served me and was very nice and accommodating. It's hot and humid here, so I ordered their signature refreshing Stoli Doli cocktail and 6 fresh oysters to start. Soon after, I had a fresh wedge salad followed by double cut lamb chops and a side of mashed potatoes. All was washed down with a fantastic pinot noir from Sonoma. All was outstanding. What is different about the Philly location from the South Coast California location is that Philly locals inhabit this bar frequently. The conversations between everyone at the bar and staff were like an episode from the old Cheers sitcom. I was the only West Coast guy there. I just loved the interaction and Philly locals engaging with everyone. I may go back and do it again this evening.

Yelp
Expensive meal, but worth it. My food was amazing and the service great! As expensive as this place is I do wish they enforced a dress code. I do appreciate the cocktail suggestions they gave their twist on the old fashion was delish. This was a nice meal before we saw our show at the Met.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing service and amazing food, it's pricey but worth the treat. Next time I'd skip on the family style dish as the soup and filet, mushrooms, onions was plenty. My wife's scallops and risotto were also really good.
google avatar

Terrance S.

Yelp
Excellent service from our guy Dirk. Steaks were cooked perfectly, and sautéed spinach was a great compliment. The bread choices were delicious as well. I went with the NY steak and my travel mate went with the Filet. Will definitely be back as this is a great place to get a good steak.
google avatar

Yelp
Food is exceptional. They never disappoint me and service is top notch. I could literally order everything off their menu and be satisfied. Compliments to their chef and kitchen crew. Most importantly, they're utensils are always cleaned and spot free , sorry I have OCD LOL

Yelp
We enjoyed the lunch the service and the atmosphere all was excellent. The only thing keeping me from giving a 5 star rating are the prices extremely high for a lunch. I had a mint lemonade and lobsters salad . My husband had the crab bisque and a steak sandwich with truffle fries. Both entrees were freshly prepared and delicious. I would certainly order the lobster salad always.

Yelp
Celebrating my retirement from corporate after 40yrs! The drinks, ambiance and food were amazing! Our waiter Zach Shafran was absolutely fantastic! We had such a wonderful time we decided to return next week for my mother-in-law's 85th birthday!

Yelp
We went to the Capital Grille for Thanksgiving. This was our second year at CG for the holiday. It was crowded as expected. We waited about a half hour for our table, which was fine. We were fortunate to snag two seats at the bar. The bartender took care of us immediately with a smile and a warm greeting. When seated our waiter was at table side within minutes. He was great as well. I ordered the Holiday Turkey dinner which was delicious. The turkey and stuffing were moist. This entree also came with green beans, savory brown gravy and a cranberry relish. My husband ordered the Ribeye which was grilled to perfection with a side of velvety mashed potatoes. We will be going back next year. The service, food and ambiance get five stars. Highly recommend the CG for any occasion.

Yelp
We showed up on a Saturday with no reservation and party of 6. They worked us. Our server was Cristen and she was fantastic. Great recommendations, and was very attentive which our group can be a bit unruly. Food was excellent and the drinks were great. Highly recommend and seek out Cristen!

Yelp
We had a reservation for a Friday night. We were seated pretty quickly. I liked how the lights were not super dark. Our waiter was decent. No issues with him. The food lobster and crab cakes were my favorite!! The spinach could use salt as well as the mushrooms. I had tenderloins and lobster tails for my entree. It was good...not great. I felt like my meat wasn't medium well as I asked. It was a tad too bloody for me but no regrets. I'd definitely go back despite the hiccups.

Yelp
Party of 2 - we arrived at 11:45am with no reservation. We were welcomed to sit at the bar or at a high top in the bar area where the bartender Tom would be our waiter. We chose the high top. Initially we were the only diners present so it was great. It started to really fill up and luckily Tom had an assist from another worker or he'd have been sunk. I got the steak on salad special and asked for plain ranch on the side. Tom was assiduous in making sure he understood what I meant when I requested medium for the steak. I appreciated that greatly, as medium can mean different things in different restaurants. I told him we needed to finish in an hour due to our matinee. The steak was perfectly cooked, but no ranch on the side (that's ok and we didn't mention). My companion got the cup of lobster bisque and wow it had amazing chunks of nice looking lobster in there (worth the $20). We enjoyed fancy drinks which were prepared with perfection (the Paloma and the Capital Cosmo) and had a nice kick. We arrived at the Academy at the stroke of 1, so we nailed the timing!

Yelp
Can never go wrong with a lunch (or dinner) and a drink at the capital grille. This location is not only conveniently location but also one of the only higher end restaurants open for lunch service in the area. Win Win! We had the aged NY strip with mash and Brussel sprouts after starting with the perfectly flavored calamari and a cup of clam chowder. Our waiter Bob was exactly what you would expect at a place like this. Attentive. Knowledgeable. Personable.
google avatar

Roland K.

Yelp
Walk from my hotel to this establishment and ordered two bowls of clam chowder and calamari. Walked back to hotel only to find out there was no flatware and napkins in the bag. Walked back to the restaurant to retrieve flatware. Was offered a lame apology from the Caucasian lady at the stand at 2150 Feb 22nd. Walked back to my hotel to eat my cold food. Would have been better off walking to Popeyes chicken. Horrible!

Yelp
Came here with a party of 9 for a birthday dinner with my girls and the food was pretty nice but the portion was very small. This is a great upscale restaurant for dates or any special occasion. The ambiance of the restaurant was very calming and fancy although the restroom was a bit tight. I had chicken for my entree and it was delicious although I wish it was a bit more flavorful and the portion was bigger. Not to mention, the food came out 50 minutes later after we ordered and we thought that was quite a long time for our food to arrive. Our waitress was so nice to offer to take some pictures with us and the birthday girl and even made us laugh. She sung happy birthday and brought out the dessert for her!
google avatar

Joseph A.

Yelp
Capital Grille.. A typical steakhouse chain in my opinion better than Morton's and Ruth's Chris. Came here for a business dinner and a good experience. Clean, elegant restaurant with good service. I ordered a porcini rubbed bone in ribeye with 15 year aged balsamic. Pretty good but nothing really special.

Linda B.

Yelp
Once again the Capital Grille delivered on food and excellent service. Went there last night for my husband's birthday and our Server was Jessica. She is lovely, hospitable, knowledgeable and just overall great. The food was outstanding. Can't wait to go back very soon.

Yelp
Any restaurant establishment that gifts a teacher and her students with a wonderful meal deserves a shout out for their generosity!!! The food looked amazing and your staff was so sweet to the students! Awesome job Capital Grille!

Yelp
Enjoyed the blackened salmon, sautéed spinach and mashed potatoes. Salmon was cooked to perfection and spinach had just enough garlic. Enjoyed a specialty drink as well. The service was outstanding. Zach served our every need. The ambiance was nice. Dinner music and great atmosphere.

Yelp
Came back in December for dinner to celebrate my daughter's birthday! As good as it ever was! Our server Nick was fantastic. Didn't miss a beat. Was always on point. The atmosphere is wonderful as well. Comfortable, with plenty of room. Just a happening place to be and a wonderful place to celebrate a birthday or any special occasion. Finally, the food was superb. The fried lobster tail appetizer may be the best appetizer you will find. If you love seafood, it is the dish for you. I told Nick I could have had that as my entree and he assured me if I ever asked for it as my main dish, they could prepare it for me. This isn't an appetizer you will find at just any Cap Grille. It is only in Philly and a few places in New Jersey. Of course, the filet mignon, Oscar style was cooked to perfection. A perfect medium rare just like my daughter likes it. I had the broiled lobster tail with clarified butter as my entree. It too was cooked to perfection. Nothing against the other Cap Grilles around the country, but the Capital Grille in Philly is the best Cap Grille anywhere. I can't wait to go back. Hope you find this helpful.

Yelp
Capital Grille has always been me and my wife's favorite spot! But recently, as far as the valet situation is concerned, has anyone else been charged an extra $7 for a midsize SUV??? it doesn't say anything on the valet sign about extra cost, or is some employee pocketing a little extra cash???
google avatar

Jane L.

Yelp
I just watched a Facebook news post about your restaurant gifting a 5th grade teacher and her classroom their entire meal! What a generous act of service! I am in the San Francisco Bay Area, but if I am ever in Philadelphia, I will certainly give your restaurant my business! Kudos to Capital Grille!

Gina R.

Yelp
I saw the tik tok of your establishment gifting a classroom who was learning fine dining etiquette. I just want to say bravo for your generosity!

Yelp
I love Capital Grille. Been to all the locations in NYC, the one in Providence, cherry hill. This Philly location actually served me some of the worst food I've ever had from them. Now over the years this location has improved. But when I first started coming here 6 years ago, they had amateurs in the kitchen. One of my favorite experiences from this location was a Galentines Day (v-Day) special they had going on a few years ago. Everyone who dined received complimentary champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. They also had a few specials with dishes that came complete with sides instead of having to order them al la carte. To start we got the calamari. My favorite thing on the menu. No matter what I get. I ALWAYS have to get the calamari. Crisp, tender, tubes and tentacles of course hot cherry peppers. New England style the best way to have calamari. I got the NY strip special they had with crab and asparagus. They steak was prepared medium as I requested. The asparagus tasted as expected and the crab topping was fresh and tasty though there was little too much of the creamy sauce that accompanied it. My bestie got the lamb and a side of lobster Mac. The lobster Mac is hit or miss at any location. This time is was creamy, the topping added a nice crunch, the claw meat that was used was a little rubbery. They use ziti noodles vs penne or cavatappi. The lamb was prepared at the correct requested temperature, medium. It was plentiful and good. The sear on them could've been better. The complimentary champagne was Veuve Clicquot which is one of my faves. We also ordered the blackberry bourbon sidecar. Which is one of my favorite drinks here. Woodford Reserve is my preferred bourbon and this drink contains it along with Cointreau, blackberries lemon and thyme. It's even more delicious than it sounds. They make a good Manhattan as well. The service is usually good. I've sat at the bar alone and at tables with guest. Everyone from the hostess, bartender to the waitstaff and manager is friendly. A few times the manager has checked on my table as well as other tables around the restaurant. The ambience is nice. When you walk through the revolving doors the host station is first. Then the long bar and into the dining room. There's a mixture of tables with chairs and booths with chairs. Linen napkins, little lamps on the tables for light as it is dim and romantic. Pictures of historic figures, taxidermy elks, statues of eagles. On the outside they have these two huge statues of lions. Overall when things are prepared correctly, you can have quite the enjoyable dining experience. It can be costly. You have to order sides and protein separately, add in a couple of cocktails and your looking at $125pp more than that depending on the protein you choose. I'll definitely return, especially for the calamari.
google avatar

Venera P.

Yelp
First time in this location and was left disappointed. The server was not courteous and seemed annoyed at times. The food was "okay" but really not worth the price. I asked for medium rare - the meat was fully cooked and tough. The calamari appetizer was great! I will try to avoid this location and go to the Cherry Hill location instead.
google avatar

Sunil R.

Yelp
This is a classic traditional steakhouse and a good one at that. The decor was classy and comfortable. The service was on point. The food was excellent. After a couple of days of indulgence, I could not have a large steak and ended up with tuna and rice which was excellent.

Chelsea C.

Yelp
Filet and asparagus were great. Service was excellent. Romantic, quiet atmosphere. Perfect for date night

Yelp
We've been to Capital Grilles in NYC, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Miami, Dallas, and now Philadelphia. Quality control at each one was excellent (except Dallas-way too dark, couldn't tell what we were eating). Everything prepared to perfection, except the young lady taking us to our table was having a bad day. Restaurant wasn't full, but she needed us seated where she wanted us. Tiny booth by the kitchen exit for four hungry folks with wine and cocktails. Couldn't fit everything on the table. No bueno. Food=great, table service=very good. Front of house needs improvement.

Van T.

Yelp
Sat at the bar for a cocktail and a quick dinner. Enjoyed great service (not bothering you but always around anticipating a need for another drink/water/time to order, etc.). Food (Calimari & filet) was up to the usual high standard of TCG! Enjoyed the quiet atmosphere to wind down after a long day.

Yelp
Came here for a company dinner. Since this is a chain restaurant, I was not expecting fireworks. We had a prix fixe menu that included calamari, salad, filet mignon, ribeye, and chocolate cake. Pros: the service is fantastic. Everyone was very attentive and very prompt with drinks. I had the red wine and old fashioned which were delicious. The decor is old-fashioned and very clean. Cons: the steaks unfortunately were overcooked and tough. In their defense, there were over 30 people in our party so the meat may have been sitting for a little too long. Otherwise the calamari appetizers were great.

Yelp
These are pictures missing from my 1st review so I'm responding them. Can't wait to come back to enjoy another happy hour.

Yelp
I was admittedly skeptical that a work-related celebration dinner here would entail the typical indignities suffered by vegetarians at high-end steakhouses nationwide. Would I be treated to a plate of middling roasted vegetables, or a so-called cauliflower steak while my compatriots decided between medium rare and medium rare plus? While perhaps still not my first choice, Capital Grille exceeded my expectations with a thoughtful array of vegetarian options. They served me a delicious creamy personal burrata appetizer accompanied with a crispy garlic toast and green tomatoes. For the main course, they had a red sauce pasta option - this was tasty other than the excessive amount of vegetables they snuck into the dish. I may not eat meat but I don't necessarily prefer to have my pasta with bites of cauliflower and asparagus interspersed.

Yelp
I just had the most disappointing lunch for a colleague's birthday from The Capital Grille - for the second time in a month. This has been our firm's go-to for celebratory meals over the past few years, but no more. For the second time in a row, we were missing several items from our lunch order. When my paralegal called, the hostess did not believe her that items were missing. She argued with her and then sent her to a manager to address it. After ten minutes, the manager finally believed my paralegal and agreed to deliver the missing items. The food was totally mediocre. There was barely any shredded parmesan on the two Caesar salads. The portions we received were also paltry. Over the past few years the crab cocktail has gotten smaller and smaller. The three people who ordered the tenderloin tip salad got three little pieces of meat the size of chicken nuggets. They looked like they were ends cut off of someone's steak. This is not the quality one should get from an expensive lunch. Next time, we will try Del Frisco's.

Yelp
The Capital Grille is truly one of my favorites spots to visit in Center City! Whether I want a quick appetizer (oysters) or a full dinner (Dry Aged NY Strip) I'm always satisfied. The sides are nicely portioned, worth the price. I would suggest the rich cream Sam's mashed potatoes or the lobster Mac & cheese (both great options). For desert, I recommend the brûlée cheesecake! It's really rich, greatly sized and the fruit/berries are fresh. It's great with red wine! I enjoy the various options that are presented at this establishment! The staff is very present, kind, attentive, and visible. I use those descriptive words to express the enthusiasm and engagement I witness from ALL of staff when I am present. The engagement among staff (with one another), other customers, and phone service is top tier. This establishment is always in great shape! From customer service, cleanliness, attentiveness, detail, you name it ... Capital Grille is phenomenal. Check it out if you get the chance!!

Yelp
Went here for my birthday and the food was great the service was excellent. The ambiance was great as well I'd recommend for a date night or just an evening out with friends. I will return

Yelp
This place is a classic seafood and steakhouse with classy and traditional decor. Service - Service was good, not great, but not bad either. At the beginning they took their time getting to us, but it could've been taken as them allowing us time to get settled in and look at the menu which I appreciated. - The bread & butter is complimentary, but I wish places that offer complimentary services would ask before serving. We didn't even look at the bread and it's such a shame because that was wasted food. Highlights - The nueske's cherrywood double cut smoked bacon with tomato jam was fabulous! Juicy, tender and super flavorful. The only downside was that it was a tad bit burnt on the edges, but the flavor saved the dish overall. - The seafood platter was fresh and tasty. - tempura lobster was delicious, but it was fried a little too long. - Cocktails, I mean can one ever go wrong here?! Could've been better - The lobster Mac and cheese isn't anything to write home about, but it's good. Could've been seasoned more. - The creamed spinach was just spinach with a splash of cream. There wasn't much effort put into it at all. - The sea bass was good and mildly seasoned but the miso butter was the star of the dish.

Yelp
Service beyond compare. If you want to be wined and dined in a formal setting this is the place. Great quality food. A cool bar if you are in center city and want to stop for a drink.

Yelp
Happy to share this updated 5 star review of Capital Grille Philadelphia for 2021. This time we were served by waiter Jordan. Entrees of Steak au Poivre and the Ribeye steak were cooked to perfection, and complemented beautifully by Malbec wine. Be sure to try this location's proprietary 15 year old Knob's Creek bourbon (they purchase it directly from the distiller by the barrel). According to Jordan, Capital Grille Philadelphia is the only location where it is available. An impeccable bourbon.

Yelp
I mean what else is there to say about the one and only capital grille!?! I came late to the party but ordered my food right on time because no menu was needed lol I order the chicken with shitake mushrooms and risotto layered with asparagus and paired it with a glass of Joseph Phelps chardonnay. The lighting was a bit dim since the sun was on full beastmode, but the clouds brought the same energy which changed the lighting mood in a good way. My chicken was slayed to perfection. I still have leftovers. Not that I couldn't finish it. I just wanted to taste more the next day lol The risotto was great, but needed a little spice for my liking. Our server was dope. She brought me out a tiny bowl of red pepper flake which really gave me the taste i was looking for in the risotto. I did nibble from a friends lobster mac n' cheese which was REALLY GOOD. Did I mention our server was dope?!? We asked if we could take a pic in the wine room that's displayed in the middle of the restaurant which isn't normally open to customers, but she asked the manager to grant the b-day gals wish we came out to celebrate and they did. :-)

Yelp
Thanks for helping out the Philadelphia teachers and her classroom. Cheers to a great new year of business for this establishment!
