Eclectic bar food, creative cocktails, and unique international flavors

"This friendly neighborhood restaurant recently added a refreshing frozen drink to its lineup: Fred the Pusher. It’s made with Jim Beam orange, vanilla vodka, amaretto, citrus, and an orange vanilla shrub, There’s also frosé (frozen rosé ) and mules that are perfect alongside the wings, tacos, or po’boys." - Monica Williams

"I noted that The Charlevoix in Grosse Pointe Park announced on social media on Tuesday, June 30 that it would temporarily close out of “an abundance of caution,” with management emphasizing how seriously they take the health and safety of staff and guests; they planned to reopen on Tuesday, July 7 after the Fourth of July holiday." - Brenna Houck

"This establishment will be closed July 4–7 for an extended holiday break." - Brenna Houck

"A funky bar-food destination on the east side offering creative comfort dishes like corned beef fried rice and shrimp po’boys, served alongside a full bar." - Brenna Houck

"A newcomer to Grosse Pointe Park, the Charlevoix officially opened at 14927 Charlevoix St. on Wednesday, November 14; I found its menu leans toward playful, internationally influenced bar snacks with options like briske-kimchi tacos, salt and pepper shrimp, corned beef fried rice, salt and vinegar wings, and smoked mushroom po’boys, with prices ranging from $4 for a taco to $16 for a shrimp po’boy. The project is run by Nick Arrigo, Brandon Belknap, and Brian Czerny, and the menu also features eight cocktails including the Five Burroughs — a combination of rye, amaro montenegro, zucca, and orinoco bitters — plus plenty of beer on draft and in bottles and wines by the glass or bottle. It hosted a grand-opening sequence with a private event at 5:30 p.m. followed by a public opening at 7 p.m., and is open 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 2 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday." - Brenna Houck
