We haven't been to The Grove or Farmers' Market in years upon years, so with all the food choices between the two places, I was surprised when my husband picked this Cheesecake Factory. I probably would not have done so, but it was close to where we had been shopping, so I'm sure that factored into his choice.
The wait times to securing a table at any Cheesecake Factory can be daunting, but on the day we appeared, we got right in for lunch. It was on a Tuesday sometime between 1-2 pm, so that's probably why. If it was the weekend at the Grove... or dinnertime, forget it. Anyway, we were quite happy that we didn't have to wait.
We had such a nice waiter... Jake. I'm not one to typically highlight a waiter, but when they offer such great service, I do, and Jake was with a smile at all times. He was very concerned that we didn't want for anything, and we didn't. He was very memorable, and I will ask for him should we ever be in the area to go this Cheesecake Factory again.
My husband ordered the Italian Chopped Salad, and because he gets it all the time at our local Cheesecake Factory, it was as he expected, and he really enjoyed it. I ordered the chicken lettuce wraps, and while I get that a lot myself and have for many years, I don't enjoy when the lettuce is torn, so all the sauces leak out (and get all over my hands, not to mention clothing). Such was the case THIS time. It doesn't happen very often, but when it does, it can be annoying. I suppose I could've gotten Jake to get me new lettuce pieces, but I just dealt with it. We didn't order any cheesecake because we've both been watching our weight, but otherwise, we would have.
The decor is as it always is, very pleasing and attractive, but this seemed like a larger location. Don't know if it actually is, but it sure seemed bigger to me. Maybe with the upstairs and downstairs... who knows.
