This is definitely a mixed review. We came in for restaurant month and drove 2 hours round trip. The service was subpar. We had to wait for ages to get menus. Once menus were given, we had zero guidance or recommendations and while the service was not impolite, it wasn't organized or thoughtful. The menus were never removed from our table. We weren't asked to order drinks, I had to request a knife for my steak. I had a much higher expectation of service based on the quality of the restaurant. The food we had throughout the night was good, with the highlights being the curry chicken and the sticky toffee cake. While the food was good, I expected more overall.

Everything was impeccably delicious. We started with the ceviche, and even the tortillas and chips had this perfectly crunchy, flavorful bite that set the tone for the meal. I ordered the steak with the dry spice option, and oh my — I was completely taken aback. The beef was tender, and the layers of spices created such a burst of flavor that left me in awe. We also tried the lobster, and it was just as outstanding — rich, fresh, and prepared beautifully. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a first date or any special occasion. It’s one of the few spots in Houston that truly knows how to elevate flavor and create an unforgettable dining experience.

I been here many times. The food is always great but the service wasn’t that great. I will say this as kindly as I can but I felt the waiter keep waiting on other people more than she wanted to wait on us.. pack our food and forgot to bring it back until I said something and after that disappeared . We still left here a nice tip. But we must do better on attending to all customers not just the white ones.

Ambiance: Trendy, upscale restaurant located in Vintage Park perfect for a date night, celebratory event, business dinner, or unique dining experience. The booth tables are large & extremely intimate in the sense that you feel you are alone with your party. Waitstaff is quick and extremely knowledgeable about any item on the menu. I loved the flavored water - a refreshing surprise from generic tap water! We split a bottle of Riesling. The Caesar salad was a good portion. I highly recommend the Diane Sisters brioche filet medallions as a main course. This is a spot I would take anyone I am trying to impress be it by their menu, ambiance, or service. The menu is diverse and filled with unique flavors and twists. Clean bathrooms. Parking available on the street or parking lots in Vintage Park. Walking distance to other shops and spots to peruse before or after your meal. It is obvious the head chef is extremely talented and creative. I am already looking forward to my next visit!

Wow!! The food here was phenomenal. We got the spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer. It was the best I had. The surf and turf was so good. The service here was excellent. Everyone was very friendly and the waitress was very attentive to us. The ambience was very elegant and modern. We look forward to coming back here.

We came to The Chef’s Table to celebrate our 6-year anniversary and chose the tasting menu—what an incredible experience from start to finish! Daniel, our sommelier, was knowledgeable and personable, perfectly pairing each course with wines that elevated the entire meal. Rafael, our waiter, was attentive, warm, and made us feel truly celebrated. Every dish was creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service and atmosphere made for such a memorable night. Highly recommend for any special occasion or if you’re just in the mood to treat yourself!

Dined in at this exceptional restaurant on a Sunday evening. Everything was phenomenal during our dining experience - the service, the food, and the ambiance. Right off the bat, the restaurant was dimly lit with nice mood lighting. After being seated at our table, we were served watermelon and strawberry infused water which was really unique! The chef’s cuisine is highly inspired by South African flavors which is evident throughout each dish! Every dish was seasoned incredibly and we thoroughly enjoyed every item ordered. Our server was very knowledgeable and took the time to enlighten us about the different ingredients used that are native to South Africa such as the kingklip and ostrich - super interesting to learn about! Portion sizes here are huge especially for a fine dining restaurant - you will leave here feeling properly satiated. The desserts were the cherry on top. The sticky toffee and passion fruit crème brûlée were both delicious and the perfect amount of sweetness. The restaurant is located in the Vintage Park shopping village - a cute area to walk around after a fantastic meal. Plenty of free parking available. Could not recommend this restaurant more! We had such an outstanding and unique culinary experience!

My wife and I recently dined here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Constantin was our server. He was hospitable and displayed excellent knowledge and explanations of the menu items. A true professional, we will definitely request him as our server on our next visit. Every food item we ordered was well executed by Chef Paul, from presentation to taste. The ostrich steak was definitely the most unique order of our dining experience there. It was cooked to perfection and well seasoned and tender. I would definitely order again. From ambience, to service and the execution of each menu item ordered, it was a great experience!

What an amazing dining venue. They are always very welcoming when you arrive making everyone feel very special. We celebrated my birthday and what a lovely celebration it was. I felt like a princess. We had Greek and Caesar salads and one gal had carrot ginger soup. What a wonderful start. Chef Paul visits the tables and makes everyone feel so welcome. Then we had shrimp scampi, steak medallions, Kingklip which is a tasty fish from South Africa. Then a special treat for the table was Osso Bucco Ostrich, which was really new to us all. It was absolutely delicious. Now we all know we love it and we would order it again. To end the dining experience we had Sticky Toffee Pudding topped with ice cream, caramel sauce, blueberries, and strawberries. What a fabulous place to dine, plus, it is exquisite and tastefully decorated. You will love your experience there.

Came to celebrate my birthday with my family on a Tuesday night. Service was great. Everyone was attentive and very accommodating. Thank you to the hostess at the time for being patient with my family as we asked for millions of pics. Food- we started off with the peri peri calamari, sautéed calamari, & stuffed shrimp. Entrees included the Jerk Snapper, hot honey bacon chutney salmon, shrimp scampi, and the 16oz ribeye. Sides included the Brussels sprouts and the lobster Mac & cheese. No complaints from the family. My mom did order the prawns and wasn't satisfied but they were able to change out the dish- the prawns didn't taste fresh and bit overcooked. Drinks - i tried the old fashioned and nothing too special. My father did have a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon and I a glass of Sauvignon Blanc Overall- definitely a good restaurant for special occasions, date nights, girls nights, etc.

We were really looking forward to brunch at Chef's Table and made the 30-minute drive with high hopes. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we learned there are no high chairs available. While we understand that not every restaurant caters to young children, this kind of detail is important to know ahead of time--especially for parents planning a meal out. It would be incredibly helpful if the restaurant's website or reservation info noted that it's not kid-friendly. We had no choice but to leave, as trying to hold our very active 1-year-old through a long brunch simply wasn't feasible. This may be a great spot for adults or special occasions, but definitely not ideal for families with young children. A heads-up online would've saved us the trip and the disappointment.

I visited this restaurant with two former colleagues. It's my understanding that this is the newest restaurant of Chef Paul of the former fabulous Peli Peli. I ordered the Chicken Florentine. I love a florentine dish. It was warm, savory and delicious. My friends both had butternut ravioli, which they equally enjoyed. Our server was kind, well acquainted with the menu and contributed to a great dining experience. Please, if you're not already on inKind, please join. We need restaurants affiliated with this service in north Houston and suburbs.

We came in for brunch before an event and realized after perusing the menu that this location used to be Peli Peli. It seems to share some flavor profiles of the former restaurant so we made a note to return for dinner. The brunch menu was straightforward, and the food came out as advertised. We got the waffles (cut fruit and strawberry whipped cream on three small liege waffles) and the TCT skillet (an egg hash in a small cast iron), with the complimentary pink water (strawberry and watermelon steeped in water).

We stopped by for a late afternoon lunch on the patio and had a great first-time experience. The ambiance strikes a nice balance--sleek and modern, yet still relaxed and casual. The patio is a good size, though I do wish the fans had been on to help cool things down a bit. They were offering cocktail hour, which applies to both the patio and bar area--a nice bonus. I had the Paloma and my friend went with the Lemon Drop Martini--both were refreshing and well-made. We shared a few dishes: the Peri Peri calamari, Kingklip tacos, and the mixed fry basket. Everything was delicious. The calamari was crispy with great seasoning, and the kingklip tacos were the highlight--perfectly cooked fish that was light, flavorful, and satisfying. The fry basket was a fun addition, but the standout were the sweet potato fries. I'd honestly come back just for a full basket of those alone! We topped off lunch with the sticky toffee pudding, incredible. Service was impeccable--friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It wasn't too busy when we visited, but I'd like to think that level of service is standard. Overall, it was a great visit and a spot I'd absolutely return to. The menu has a lot of tempting options, and I'm looking forward to trying more on my next trip!

The Chefs' Table was nothing short of amazing. I was looking for a good place to get lunch that I had never tried and when this place popped up, I said why not. I had no idea it was this formal and fancy . I was cute but dressed very casual, wishing I had put on a dress and heels. The lighting was perfect, the ambiance was stellar and exudes sensuality, romance and elegance. They serve a pallet cleaner that has watermelon and strawberry juice that takes the taste of the food from your tongue. The drink I ordered was a mock-tail that tastes like a mojito. I began with a starter called, "A Spin On Your Dip." The dipping toast was perfect, not too hard and not too soft. This was by far some of the best spinach dip I've ever had to date. The service was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and exceptional. I was almost full from the spinach dip but I managed to find room for the Jerk Snapper. The dish comes alone so I added sautéed spinach and saffron rice. The snapper has bones but they have already filleted it really good for you to pull it apart from the bones with ease. I never had the full snapper with the eye ball in it fully fried. The presentation was culinary artwork. It looked like the fish was posing for the picture. The chef outdid him/her self and the staff was staffing.

OMG!!! The absolute most fantastic Chilean Sea Bass I've ever tasted in my life. It was just incredible. Perfect blend of lemon & butter served over the best spinach ever!!! Our waitresses were friendly, sweet and knowledgeable. The ambiance was good as well. But the food is a 10 Star in my view.

The quality here is CHEF'S KISS. Amazing. Appetizers (everything was 10/10 must orders) - charred octopus : my bf doesn't even like octopus but DEVOURED this. the chimichurri added such a nice refreshing touch to the dish - sea point promenade : its two big crab cakes filleddd with crab meat!! you definitely get your moneys worth!! All the different textures made it so fun to eat Entree - Chilean sea bass (10/10) : I didn't know fish could be this buttery until now. The sauce was light, citrusy, creamy and paired perfectly with the fish. - Chicken Florentine (7/10) : compared to everything else this dish did not stand out. Still pretty good though. Safe pick Jane took amazing care of us! Thank you again! We went during valentines and the chef was giving out these little goodie bags it was so cute The only complaint I had was we made a reservation 2 weeks in advance and they told us just 3 days before our reservation that overbooked....so last minute and all the other restaurants were booked already.... VERY unprofessional. They ended up being able to take us in but we couldn't keep our original time. Then proceeds to seat us 40 mins past our reservation time. I expected more professionalism especially from a restaurant like this

The charred octopus is exquisite. The freshness of the seasoning and the perfect texture of the octopus was flawless. The potatoes pleasantly soaked up the flavors of the plate. I highly recommend the surf and turf. The steak medallions just melt on the tongue, and the shrimp are a good texture juxtaposition for the palate. Try the brussel sprouts or the cheese whipped potatoes. The parfait is delicious. It may look plain, but it has a certain nostalgic element of homecoming. You simply have to try it. If you sit at the bar for happy hour, get the lemon drop. The classic cocktail pairs well with fish if you enjoy seafood. The service is impecable, and the ambiance is very refined. Perfect for an upscale date night or sophisticated celebration. The attention to detail doesn't skip a beat. The music is elegant, with slow beats to match the environment.

Not sure where to begin! Delicious delicious food! Absolutely amazing! My husband found this place for us to celebrate our anniversary and it was a wonderful little surprise. I can't remember the name of all the food but let your server tell you what to try is this cuisine is new for you. Our server, Constantine was very attentive and delightful! We had great conversations with him and he represented the restaurant very well with his service and knowledge. It's a little bit away from where we live but I'd definitely love to be back. We had to take half of our food to go because everything was very rich and filling. It's a lovely place and can't wait to be back!

UPDATE: So good we came two days in a row! Wow, while they have the special running, you have to try the early bird special which is served from 4-5PM. Three courses, including the Sticky Toffee Pudding fan favorite. The four of us tried different things and all I can say is that I absolutely loved the Caesar salad and the Beef Pendurada with melting garlic sauce dripping down over the hanging meat and grilled onions and bell peppers. Mr. Picky has a sweet tooth and so he tried the chicken version and really liked it. Spectacular. And on the second visit Mr. Picky discovered the Carrot Ginger soup which is slightly sweet--he used the "Yummy" word. Madison's service was great. Go try their Early Bird while it's available!!!

One of my favorite restaurants. My daughter has swim meets in Cypress/the Woodlands every few months and we always make a stop here after. The best dish on the menu (in my opinion) is the sweet and spicy chicken. It is life changing--I have not been able to replicate it or find another dish at a restaurant closer to me. The sticky toffee pudding? Possibly the best in Houston. As a sticky date pudding fan I have tried almost every one in the greater Houston area and this one reigns supreme. The sweet sauce with the homemade creamy ice cream with the crunchiness of the caramelized sugar and the moist rich cake...I dream of it. I do wish they would give more ice cream to counteract the sweetness but it is amazing. Can't wait to come back in the near future.

Did not get to try the food. Extremely disappointed as we called and made a reservation for 5 adults and 1 baby. At no time during that phone call were we told that a high chair would not be available nor is this information anywhere on their website or Resy site. They recommended "holding the baby (10 month old) in your lap" for dinner. We decided it would be better to leave. We completely understand if a restaurant is not child friendly, but if they aren't this information should be very clearly stated both on their website and when making a reservation.

This place was great. We ate outside and enjoyed the last 2 hours of cool weather in Houston until November. Joshua, our waiter had good recommendations. We had a "sampler" of South African meats and a chicken dish (can't remember the name). Both were excellent. Drinks were good, the ambience was good. We weren't very impressed with the interior, but we really just passed through the restaurant to get to the patio. All in all a do over.

I had the pleasure of dining here today and if I'm ever in the area again, I'd be glad to return. Highlights: 1. The restaurant was immaculate, including the bathroom. 2. A nice assortment of mocktails to choose from (I settled on the lemon lavender spritz). 3. The food was good: I had the ribeye with Oscar sauce and a side of lobster mac and cheese. My steak was cooked to my liking, well seasoned, and tender. The sticky toffee pudding was also great. 4. We had an attentive waiter; great service.

My Wife and I enjoyed a nice Birthday dinner on our first time eating here. The food options are outstanding and they have a great variety, I don't think you can go wrong with almost anything. The service was very attentive and they give a thorough explanation of each plate and the flavors. The ambience was a very elevated feel, dim lighting in the booth was sat in with some jazzy type music playing in the back. We loved Chefs table and would definitely recommend anyone who's thinking of enjoying a meal here to go ahead and do so!

I'm a huge fan of The Chef's Table. Service is always attentive, ambiance is understated and classy, parking is ample, quality is consistent, and prices are very fair. I've dined here a handful of times with friends and family as well as for work, and each experience has consistently been excellent. The water alone already stands out for me: it's lightly infused with watermelon and some other fruits, and is always so refreshing and tasty that I'm shocked that it's their free house water and not a priced drink off the menu. In terms of food, I've never been disappointed by a dish here. My personal favorites are the Three Cheese Blackened Salmon Pasta (which contains goat cheese) and their popular Sticky Toffee Pudding. This is easily one of my favorite restaurants in the Vintage Park - which is saying something given its close proximity to plenty of stiff competition in the area. Five stars on Yelp may not be Michelins, but The Chef's Table boasts the decadence, attention to detail, and a flavor-journey befitting any high-end restaurant. Our waitress was incredibly knowledgeable about the ends and outs of their menu. From preparation styles to food pairings, she could answer all of our questions. With her guidance, we eventually settled on the Stuffed Peppadews and the Kingklip for dinner. The Peppadew--a South African pepper--was a delightful way to start. Everything was so perfectly balanced; every flavor complementing the next. The fish was flaky, but weightier than most fish. Every bite as perfect as the one before. The cucumber martini is absolutely magical. Sticky. Toffee. Pudding. My favorite dessert and this spot...oh my. It may have been the best STP I've ever had. My only criticism was the overhead lights. The tiny orb glare off the menus makes it a little difficult to read.

Leah was amazing! She had great food recommendations! Her service with us was sooo amazing and friendly!! We loved her and we can't wait to come back and request her to be our waitress again. 10/10 ambiance as well and the food came out fast!

I thought Pelli Pelli was gone forever. I am glad I found this place! Pelli Pelli was one of my favorite restaurants. I used to go to Galleria location and the i10 Pelli Pelli kitchen as well. Lots of great dishes from Pelli Pelli are still on the menu. Solid four stars, could easily be five but you need some work. Food: the wings are top notch. Absolutely amazing and crispy. So much flavor. Great wings. The Portuguese steak skewer was amazing. The flavor and taste was great. However they came out cold. That was quite disappointing. On that alone should rate them three stars. You have to really keep your QC in check. Especially for the prices we are paying here. This isn't .99 cent jack in the box tacos lol. The Brussels sprouts are amazing. I don't even like vegetables. The 5 whipped mashed potato's are absolutely amazing and the lobster mac n cheese was great ! Lastly the sticky toffee is one of the best dessert I've ever had. An old Pelli Pelli favorite. Management address QC! At your price point and your caliber of restaurant you should not be serving your signature beef steak skewer dish cold. They were quite disappointing to eat cold. . Also make sure the waiters are coming back to check on their guests. We wanted to orde dessert and had to wait while. On those two things along I could give two - three star rating. The decor is amazing.

This was my first time dining here, as I had been hesitant to give it a try. I'm glad I finally did. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was just right. I'll definitely be adding this spot to my list of go-to restaurants. I only wish I had tried it sooner!

Ok, this restaurant is only a few miles from my home and I cannot believe that I had never eaten there till this past Saturday. My wife and I had the most "Amazing" meal there. I won't go into description of the food we ate because I am 100% certain that everything served at this restaurant is going to be on point. Our waiter Paul (not the chef whose name is also Paul) was made aware it was our first visit and was able to lead us to make some amazing selections for our meal. And since the food here is somewhat different, ie, South African, portugués, Mediterranean and some curry dishes as well , the recommendations from the staff was highly appreciated (I would encourage it). The restaurant is easy to get to and has a trendy vibe to it. Dress for a date. You'll appreciate it. Needless to say we'll be back and can't wait.

Had a great date night there! Service was very prompt, pleasant, and attentive - our server knew the entire menu and wine list intimately. I'm a vegetarian and they have a nice section with veg dishes. We started with the "Stuffed Peppadews" and "Garlic Naan" - the naan was the better of the two, with the sauce shining out. I had the "Deban Curry" and my wife had the "Acorn Chilli" as entrees and we both liked them a lot. Good spice, potions, and textures. We shared the "Sticky Toffee Pudding" for desert and both enjoyed it. I had two cocktails and both were well prepared. Ambiance was nice. Food came out very promptly. We lingered after desert and the staff didn't pressure us at all. Recommend it.

My boyfriend and I came to Houston for a staycation! We did a triple date night with some friends and ended up here. It was on the Houston restaurant weeks. I'm so glad we chose this place! We were able too get a reservation last minute. We chose to do the three course meal for Houston Restaurant Week. It's a menu they have for this event. Such a great experience ! The food was to die for! For my main course I chose the Ostrich! And OMG!!!! I dare to say it was better than any steak I have ever had in my life!!! 10/10 recommend!! This is definitely a great place for a date night! Definitely have many options of food that you won't get anywhere else!

Wow wow wow!!!!! This is a one of a kind place. I was completely blown away when I visited for my mom's birthday! She really wanted the Vlees Pastei & Beef Pendurada which were both incredible. Everything we had all night was so flavorful, delicious and came with an incredible story. The service was absolutely impeccable from all teams of the restaurant. The ambiance inside was dressy, dark and perfect for a special occasion or date night. The Chef made his rounds to each table to say hello and when he found out we were celebrating a birthday, he had a picture taken of him and my mom then developed! It was a special treat. I decided to do the Culinary Journey without wine pairing (thank gosh because I was so full!) Make sure you come hungry because you get to try sooo much from the menu. The KingKlip fish was so yummy. The starters were incredible, the peppadews, sautéed calamari & moules were 1000/10. Normally, I steer clear of lamb chops because of the game taste. These were phenomenal. Cooked to absolute perfection with incredible flavor combinations. Made me love lamb chops- but have to come back here for the flown in New Zealand Chops! It's hard to choose my absolute favorite from the journey, but I think the Hugenot Filet is in 1st place. This piece of meat was cooked to perfection, so tender, so flavorful with the savory bacon, bitterness of the bleu cheese and the sweetness of the raspberry. It was in my dreams!!! We were so incredible full, but got the sticky toffee pudding and it was delectable!!! Will 100000% be back to try a few different menu items and their lunch menu looks like a great deal as well. I definitely know why they made Yelp's Top 100 Restaurants to Try in Texas 2023!!!

As you may know, this was a Peli Peli and nothing changed except the name. Had lunch on 2/9/25 and small crowd but everything was wonderful. Only error not worth discounting my score was the waiter brought smaller white wine glasses with the Cabernet. That was corrected so no harm, no foul. All great!

I've been coming to this place for years, it doesn't matter what you order, it will be delicious every single time. The steak sandwich is amazing, the snapper is great, and the setting is calm and relaxing. It's really not too absurdly priced either considering just how high quality the food is.

Every dish is delicately prepared with so much thought and care--it's clear the chefs put their hearts into everything they make. The service is just as exceptional as the food. We often come for happy hour and end up staying for dinner because everything is just that good. The food here is unique and South African inspired. I had New Years Dinner specially while my Fiance had the The Backyard Braai. My special included a huge Prawn and a steak. The steak was moist and well seasoned...it was one of the best prepared meals I've had in awhile.. I well definitely be going there again.

Always spectacular with unique flavors from South Africa and the sea! Prawn plate or the Durban Chicken Curry is top of my list!

There is a mix feeling about food that was served. Start with appetizers. Portions are large with unique and beautiful tasted types of calamari, I prefer sauteed. Steak Tartare is up to top standards and matzo ball soup was absolutely amazing. The second course completely lost this restaurant initial luster. Lollipop lamb was heavily cover with dry vegetable seasoning give bitter aftertaste to dry lamb. African sole was totally tasteless not even hint of salt or pepper. Other two was also very mediocre for this level of restaurant. Service was fortunately top notch. Very knowledgeable and attentive server. Unfortunately for this expensive restaurant was zero ambiance. If ever back just make dinner out great appetizers and you have great meal.

Service was exceptional (Kyle?). Our server was thoroughly knowledgeable about the menu and guided of guests to an excellent meal. Specialties from New Zealand include melt in your mount lamb. I had the impala (a first for me) which was incredible. The octopus starter was also amazing. Bring your wallet - you get what you pay for.

The service is exceptional and the food... Oh my... just go. The ambiance is warm and inviting and a little formal. If budget is in your cards, go at lunch instead of dinner. I went recently with a friend and we loved everything! I will definitely be back to enjoy other menu items I missed. Enjoy!

If you are looking for a good meal or a place to take family, a client, or a date, this is a good bet. You're guaranteed high-quality food in a nice setting (former Peli Peli location, still same owner), top-notch service. Some items on the menus are unique, but most will be familiar food if you visited the former name, or are familiar with south african food. I have been both when it was PP, and now as TCT, and can vouch you will be getting a good meal. The interior is no longer tropical but with dark colors, basically a lot of black but in a classy way. I ordered the charred octopus, garlic Naan, kingslip, brussel sprouts, sticky toffee pudding, and sticky toffee cheesecake. Everything was pretty good and easily the best meal I had all week, but my favorites were the brussel sprouts and octopus. My server actually disappeared for several minutes during my drink order and only came back about 10 mins later to take the 2nd drink order, so that was a little strange. Other than that. The service was spot on.

I don't get it, but then again, maybe it's just not for me. Having had one of the best meals I've ever tasted in South Africa, I'm always hopeful I'll have a similar experience stateside. Unfortunately though, this fell short. It's an upscale but somewhat stuffy ambiance. Service is professional. The food is just mid.

We were thoroughly impressed with the delicious and flavorful food we ordered. The lobster ravioli was delicious with cream sauce, while the bacon wrapped shrimp boasted of deliciousness --a truly fantastic and tasty combination. Additionally, the wings we ordered were delicious. The lobster Mac and cheese was another favorite It's rare to find a place where every item ordered is so enjoyable. The service provided was excellent--everyone was very sweet. We sat outside - it was a perfect night!

Great food. Beef wellington was great. Awesome Brussel sprouts, Nan bread was delicious. The fish and the ravioli were delicious. Great mango mimosa.

I went here to celebrate my birthday with family and I was blown away by how delicious everything was! The restaurant was more upscale with a nice bar and a wine room featuring wines from South Africa. Our server was professional, friendly, and both knowledgeable of the menu and wine selections. Our party ordered several appetizers: stuffed mushrooms, garlic naan, and the award winning (very tasty) Vlees Pastei- a must try!! For our mains, we ordered and thoroughly enjoyed the Durban Chicken, the Kingklip, Cape Point Crossing, Madagascar Peppercorn Filet, and Backyard Braai. Our sides were Brussels and lobster Mac n cheese- both were delicious, one of the better lobster macs I've had! Just when we thought our bellies would pop, we ordered dessert! We had the Sticky Toffee Pudding, Peppermint Cheesecake, and my fave- Sticky Toffee Cheesecake! I highly recommend coming here!

One of my favorite places to dine!!!! Every single dish I've eaten here was nothing short of out of this world. Imagine God allowing a human in heaven for one day, then they take a small bottle of heavens essence back to earth. Each bite of food feels like a little sprinkle of heaven on earth. The ambiance is dRk and moody and cozy. The interior is beaut. The staff matches the vibe and was exceptional. I can recommend this place enough!

My wife is from South Africa, so I was excited to bring her here. We thought the food was delicious, and she said it tasted just like home! The outdoor seating was very nice. And our waiter, Josh, was outstanding.

Update: it's been a few years and pleased to say that the quality of food, service, and overall experience is still top notch. Jane, our server was amazing. A knowledgable waiter always enhances the experience, and I wish restaurants took this more serious. I pray this place stays open. Cypress needs more of this.

The Chef's Table is in fact the The Chef's Kiss! The setting of your meal is the first element that stands out as soon as you walk in and the rest just gets better from there ! Went for brunch but I'll be back to try the lunch and dinner menu food was a refreshing break from the usual brunch selections ! The brightest star from the 5 is always given with the great service provided by the staff ! Definitely a brunch Sunday must go !

The lamb chops are amazing! So full of flavor. The Brussels sprouts are also very tasty. Not really a fan of the wine menu but it goes with the type of restaurant. Slow service
