"This is the South Shore’s Clam Box, and it has zero affiliation with the Clam Box on the North Shore. It’s been on Shore Drive in Quincy for over 50 years. The Clam Box serves fried clam strips, whole bellies (again, we recommend the whole bellies), and all your fried seafood favorites right across from Wollaston beach. Another seasonal spot, the restaurant is closed from late November until the first of March." - Tanya Edwards, Terrence Doyle

"The Clam Box is a seasonal spot near Wollaston Beach in Quincy, a popular summer destination minutes outside of the city. The outdoor seating area is across from the beach on the other side of the expressway. Serving clams, fish and chips, and other New England classics, this place (along with friendly rival Tony’s) attracts a loyal fan base from all over the South Shore and beyond." - Valerie Li Stack

I had a very simple request when I visited this fish restaurant. I ordered the fish sandwich, and politely asked if I could have it on a sub roll instead of the regular bread they use — which they already have in-house. I even told them I was willing to pay any reasonable extra charge. However, the staff flatly refused my request without offering any explanation or solution. When I asked to speak with the manager, I was also denied that — which to me shows a clear lack of customer care and respect. Sometimes, a small accommodation can go a long way in showing hospitality and flexibility, but unfortunately, that was not the case here. I walked just a few steps away to Tony’s Clam Shop, and to my surprise, they fulfilled my exact request with a smile, no hesitation at all. They were kind, open, and truly welcoming. I highly recommend Tony’s Clam Shop to anyone who values good service and a customer-first attitude. They deserve your business

Google
Can’t beat a whole belly clam dinner plate. Also ordered a clam chowder and fried shrimp plate. Everything was awesome. Came out hot and fresh. Very busy spot but they churn out orders in 10-15 minutes. Price is reasonable.

Google
Old school clam shack type setting and food. They serve big clams with bellies and their seafood platter was a generous mix of 2 pieces of fish, big scallops, clams with bellies, jumbo shrimp and fresh fries. It was big enough for two and we were satisfied. For a perfect sized lunch for one adult, get the kid’s fish and chips. Lots of outdoor seating across from the beach if you don’t want to sit inside.

Google
The Clam Box always offers fresh and quality seafood, crisp French fries/onion rings, and tangy delicious cole slaw. Always a joy to see them open for the season and always pure sadness when they close for the Fall.

Google
The Clam Box is a long standing Seafood restaurant right off the waterfront of Wollaston Beach outside of Boston. The staff are friendly, make the food quite quickly, and keep the place cleanly. They bring a positive vibe to the place, and can juggle many orders especially during the summer months. The food was alright. It definitely felt a bit greasy, but that's to be expected with fried foods. The portions were pretty good for the price, but felt a tad bit overpriced imo. The food had a good taste and flavor, though some of the foods felt a bit dried and needed the tartar sauce for them, which the sauces were good and helped enhance the food.

Google
Food was delicious, we got it in under 10 minutes as it's made to order. Fish was fried crispy and scallops were flavorful and not overcooked. Some of the best fries I've had on the shore

My Dad grew up in Quincy and I was recently back for the first time in YEARS. I decided to hit up The Clam Box, and I wasn’t disappointed! Very nostalgic and delicious.

Google
High volume cafeteria style with both indoor and plenty of outdoor seating with views of the ocean and plants. Long line but it moves fast. They are highly organized, call orders up by number. I had a clam roll with onion rings. Clams were quite tasty, good tartar sauce. Enjoyed the onion rings too! Generous portion. Wish I'd known they have beer! They need to empty trash bins more frequently since it's next to outdoor seating, and can blow in wind. But otherwise a pleasant experience overall. I would go back.

Yelp
The Clam Box is the place to go get your fried seafood! They have tasty clam chowder, fresh clam bellies, and scallops. It is located right on Wollaston Beach and has outdoor seating available. This is a great place to visit for fresh fried seafood, especially during the summer time!

Kimberly N.

Yelp
It sucks that I'm rating so lowly because we used to come here every summer for the value. But today I got a small order of fried clam strips for the first time in years, and it was such a rip-off at $17.99 (almost $20 after taxes). The clam strips were puny (the size is supposed to refer to the quantity, not the size of the food itself...). I basically got a box of batter. These are the stragglers that you usually find at the bottom after eating all of the good pieces. Service also wasn't great--it took the person forever to bag the order because he was busy trying to listen to the conversation at the register. I'll have to find a new spot to get my summer fix, unfortunately.

Yelp
We just had our first meal from the 3rd owner (since 1968) of the Clam Box. We have been cutomers since the mid 70s: you could say we have more than a few Clam Box seafood meals under our belts. The quality and taste of the clam strips, fried haddock, onion rings and the (still) hand cut french fries was excellent. The onion rings were some of the best we ever had there. The cooking shortening was obviously fresh and/or recently filtered. The cole slaw, which my wife doesn't like but I gladly eat was fresh and creamy. Ambiance? It hasn't changed - which is a good thing. The menu boards and TVs have changed over the years, but it's still the 1970s Clam Box. The waiting time from ordering to getting our order was reasonable. The not so good: Inflation is a double edged sword here. Not only have the prices increased substantially, but the portions have noticeably decreased as well. We had a fried haddock plate and a fried clam plate. There was a time just a couple of years ago each plate would be overflowing with a large fillet and mucho clam strips and fries - so much so one could not see the plate, and we often took home leftovers. Not now. Only the cole slaw portions seemed about the same. The tarter sauce (homemade still) seems to have less relish and more mayonaise than I like. If you want a 2 way combo plate that includes fish, it will be cod, not haddock (a carry over from the previous owner). The Spiro Brothers (original owners) gave haddock on the 2 and 3 way plates - but that was long ago. We haven't decided on returning. Tony's for years was a close 2nd for us - we'll try it again. Woods Seafood in Plymouth (MA) Harbor has been our other go to seafood place, and that's open year round.

Yelp
Fried fresh seafood with a spectacular view! What more can you ask for?!?! This place is casual dining; no waiter service. Order & pay at the counter and you're given a number; when your order is ready, they will call your number. In the meantime, get your utensils, napkins and sauces while you wait, then grab a table. We came from out of town, and we're so lucky that The Clam Box was open so early in the season! Not only were they open, but it wasn't crowded at all, and we got parking right across the street. Don't expect this during their peak season! Apparently, this place is very popular, and I can see why! We opted for the 3-Way platter ($31.99), which is great for those like us who want to try many items! The platter also came with coleslaw & lemon, and a very generous portion of French fries. We chose these 3 items: - Fried Scallops: perfection! - Fried Whole Belly Clams: they were on the small side, but great nonetheless. - Fried Oysters: Very Good! See my photos for their many menu items. There is something for everyone! Note for NYers: this place is equivalent to Johnny's Reef in City Island! Yup, great stuff! Go!

Yelp
Classic spot for fried seafood in Quincy close to the beach. There's plenty of parking along the beach but it tends to be packed when there's good weather. The seafood plate had a generous portion of seafood for the money. I recommend this option if you want a bit of everything. It's perfectly fried with a good coating of breading. You get a good size for the fish and I really liked the jumbo shrimp with how it was cut to make a double curved shape. My favorites are the scallops and clam belly, they are just classics. The staff are friendly and the seafood is fresh.

Fatboy S.

Yelp
Should have listened to the other reviewers and avoided this place. Got a whole belly clam plate and a broiled shrimp plate. Both were flavorless. Portions were small, and the price was too high. Service was okay. Would not recommend, and will not be returning.

Yelp
The Clam Box is a classic restaurant along Wollaston Beach. It's been there since 1968 (although they recently are under new management). They serve mostly fried seafood, but also lobster rolls and clam chowder. It's a very casual restaurant and convenient to visit on your next trip to the beach. There is ample easy and free parking along the beach. The restaurant is spacious with indoor and outdoor dining tables. You order at the front and then the rest is self serve. They have a sauce station with ketchup and tartar sauce. My friend and I split the Seafood Platter which included whole belly clams, scallops, shrimp, and fish with onion rings and cole slaw as sides. The best were the whole belly clams and scallops as they had the most flavor. I will probably just order the whole belly clams next time. The shrimp and fish were lackluster and the onion rings didn't have much taste. The portion was good for the price.

Fred P.

Yelp
Went here many years ago and the food was great. That has changed Had the full belly clams - Unlike years ago these clams were smaller and less juicy then before and overcooked - The onion rings and french fries were good Will try another place next time we come to the area !

Yelp
The Clam Box is a Quincy classic! I've been going here for years with my family and we've never really been disappointed. They recently changed owners so I decided to pay The Clam Box a visit for the first time since then. The new owners are still upkeeping the great quality and freshness of the seafood. I got their seafood platter (which is the most worth, in my opinion) and shared it with a friend. It's market price now, but it ran us about $34 total. The seafood platter comes with a side of fries and coleslaw, and of course, the star of the show, a variety of seafood. The seafood platter has fish, whole-belly clams, scallops, and shrimp. I used to not like their fries, but I think they're actually better now! They're much more crispy now and not as soggy. Maybe I came on a good day. Their seafood was perfectly fried and battered. They gave us such a large serving of seafood and everything was fresh. They definitely did not skimp out on anything. I'm not the biggest fan of their coleslaw, but you don't go to a seafood place for the best coleslaw in the world. Everything came out super quickly (no more than 10 minutes) and the service was speedy yet friendly. Anyways, I can't wait to come back later in the summer with my family. If you're in Quincy, definitely make sure to check this place out!

Morgan R.

Yelp
AMAZING FOOD & SERVICE. They even let me use their phone charged! Quick & delicious! I recommend giving the lobster roll and buffalo chicken sandwich a try! Even my vegetarian friends loved it! Great ambiance!

Robert R.

Yelp
Expensive! $40+ for one fried clam plate with fries, slaw and a small coke. The clams were not hot, medium warm, fries were ok but super greasy also not hot enough, too many fries and not enough clams. Way too expensive for what you get. Disappointed.

Veronique S.

Yelp
This was my first time visiting for the season. I was ready to stand in a long line, however, this was the fastest I received my food ever. The staff was nice and the establishment was clean. I get the fried fish plate as this include haddock rather than the cod fish. My meal was delicious. I had to take a taste before taking a picture.

Jeanniffer P.

Yelp
I'm glad I went to this place, otherwise, I will never know how tasty the clams are. I went with my Mother and Aunt a while back. It was a long line to get the order and it's worth the wait. The service is fast-paced and the staff gave the customers a good warm welcome despite the busy day. I do love the view of the beach and the ocean. A great way to enjoy the view in warm weather! The food is very fresh and delicious, I'm not going to lie! I would prefer Clam Box on any given day! With a nice ambiance with seafood, this place disappoints me. I will recommend someone who is a fan of seafood!

Yelp
at the clam box, we ordered takeout. I had gotten the chicken fingers. the chicken was undercooked, and it still had the veins of a chicken in all 4 of them. the service was fast, but overall I was underwhelmed about the food.

Bunyaporn T.

Yelp
Seafood in Boston is all about the same price. This is a great location across the street from the beach. We sat outside and enjoyed the breeze and sun. You get lots of food! Everything was cooked well. Would come back again.

Kevino C.

Yelp
Great food for affordable prices ($18 for clam strips, $8 for large fries, $11 for medium clam cakes) Portion sizes are huge and definitely much better deals than most seafood places on the coast. Fun atmosphere and great place to eat both indoors and out.

Edward O.

Yelp
Love the music they are playing here. I wasn't sure what to order so I chose the seafood platter. A little bit of everything. Scallops, shrimp, fish, clams, fries and coleslaw. Healthy portion where 2-3 people can have a few pieces of each seafood. Workers were energetic and friendly. Food had a fresh taste and crispy crust. Good break along the beach walkway.

Carolyn D.

Yelp
This is not your old Clam Box from 2 years prior or since new ownership! The first year there did not seem to be much change in the menu portion or prices. We always order the same thing. Medium fish and chips, clam strips platter, a medium shrimp and a side salad. This year is different. Portions smaller, more money. Slight difference in the taste however still tasty until I found hair in my food. All I got was a friendly "oh" when I brought it to the attention of the people working there. I feel I should have been given compensation. Everyone there is friendly and accommodating. Service was fast. The ambiance is still the same. Not fancy, order from the counter, pick up your food after your number is called and take it to the table. Always a lovely ocean view! The price ended up being approximately $20 more this year. Not the bargain it was previously. Debating if I will return again.

Latatiana F.

Yelp
This place NEVER DISAPPOINTS! I've been going here since a kid. I moved to Atlanta and I still come up to visit to go to Walston beach for this! However the clam bellies have gotten smaller, but the still have great taste. The SCALLOPS ARE HUGE and juicy! We literally have gotten the same thing for like 10 years straight. But I do want to try their other food like a cheesesteak or something very soon. I just can't get off those scallops. But I love the place it's very homie the vibe feels family oriented and the have REALLY great beer. I'm an IPA girl so they have some nice selections and the staff is soooooo sweet.

Amina R.

Yelp
New ownership alert. Fries are now frozen. The batter was a bit thicker with a slightly different taste. It was early in the season and I was lent impressed.

Jason P.

Yelp
Clam Box. Wallaston Beach, Quincy, MA. e.1968. Pictures self-explanatory. We got the plattah and the chowdah. Fried stuff especially good, chowdah is a bit rich and not quite briny and clammy enough but still pretty good. Can't beat the view.

Todd A.

Yelp
From start to finish the entire experience was flawless. I was greeted as soon as I entered the building by not one, but three, eager to serve employees. A large copy of the menu took up a good portion of the wall and made it easy to decide what I wanted before I even stepped in line. As this was my first visit to the East Coast I wanted to try something I couldn't easily get back home. I opted for the seafood platter which came with a serving of "whole belly clams". I had no idea what that meant and when I asked for an explanation the kid behind the counter lit up. He explained the dish and you could tell he was eager for someone else to try what he considered was one of the best items on the menu. The kids had chicken nuggets and fish and chips, pretty much the standard for those two bozos. The plates arrived within a few minutes and the portion size alone took impressed me. The platter was loaded down with a variety of seafood standards: butterflied jumbo shrimp, clams, hand battered onion rings, scallops, a generously sized piece of fish, and a scoop of homemade slaw. After taking in how delicious it all looked I started to eat. Each bite was better than the last. I try to avoid fried foods but in this case I couldn't resist. Everything tasted so fresh and distinct. Definitely not the frozen shrimp and bottom feeding catfish I'm used to eating back home. Both of the kids enjoyed their meals too, my son noting "this is like McDonald's, only way better!" Well worth the price, this was the first time in a long time I couldn't finish my meal and had to get a to-go box for the remaining oysters and onion rings. I wanted to indulge in a genuine, no frills, plate of Massachusetts sea fare and in this case my Google results did not disappoint. I'm here for another week and can guarantee I'll be returning to The Clam Box. Thanks, fellas, for a wicked good, authentic East Coast dining experience I won't soon forget.

Kenyo V.

Yelp
Great view of ocean.... I was skeptical but decided to try this place ordered the simple fish and chips and it did not disappoint this place has a real nice view of the ocean and is very peaceful I would eat here again.

Yelp
" i have been going to the clam box since 1968. The new management opted to put up a fancy menu board, fancier cutlery and plates, a more noisy ambience. The clam box did not need a noisy ambience it was the last of eateries where folks could have real conversations and not compete with empty music and fancy screens as distractions. Instead the new management decision to skimp on the customer service, food portions and increase prices was not in the best interest of this eatery. Some things are better left, if it is not broken don't fix it. The clam box has lost the neighborhood feel that it always had and kept no matter where you came from. It was my go to place whenever anyone new came to town, or if I decided to dine solo. the atmosphere is that of the north shore which has always been a different characteristic than the south shore. I think the legacy of the clam box has diminished and the new management does not get that. I think they felt by opening year round and adding more tables to the patio was of more importance than keeping the nostalgia that was the clam box when the line would be out the door... To be fair, i have waited to post here as I was hoping things would not change as much as they have. It saddens me and I do not support as I have in the past. The prices are way to high for the South shore and the portions way to small. The previous owners worked hard to keep prices affordable across the board and therein was the clam box's success. Results of lines out the door. Market prices speaks of greed and not value especially when the quality of food has diminished. If you are the new management reading this review, EVERYONE can not all be saying the SAME things. I pray you take heed and restore this eatery to it's historical legacy making changes that matter. "

Yelp
I have been eating at The Clam Box since I was a little girl, and I think it's possible that they've only gotten better! Compared to the other fried fish joints on Quincy Shore Drive, the feeling of having overdosed on grease is absent! I still love an afternoon pig out at The Clam Box!

Nancy H.

Yelp
Ordered fisherman's platter, clam chowder, fried oysters, and fried clam bellies. Everything was tasty and fried pretty well. The platter had two pieces of fish, 3-4 pieces of shrimp, 3-4 scallops, and clam bellies. The deep fried clams and deep fried oysters were juicy on the insde and crispy on the outside. Salt to your liking. I'd rate this better than the joint down the street, especially with the prices being much more competitive. After you order, you can grab all your necessary utensils and sauces, ask for plates. They will call out your order in the restaurant as well as announce it outside via speaker. Their fries aren't as tasty but I'm here for the seafood, not the fries. Their lobster salad has celery, so take a pass. No parking but you can easily park across the street at the beach and take the cross walk over. Solid place for fried seafood.

Quinton M.

Yelp
Walk-in and the place is like run-down, ordered my food at 4:07 and waited for almost 30 minutes to get my food. This to me was a waste of time especially if you can explain that broiled takes longer. I ordered lobster rolls, crab cakes, and broiled scallops with french fries. The lobster roll was on point and worth it, it was a good amount of it on the bread and the bread was nice and buttery and toasty. The crab cakes tasted bland with no seasoning whatsoever and can do without it next time. The fries were burnt, but the scallops were delicious, nice buttery, and also seasoned and seared well. The decor of the restaurant is off, it has modernization to it but looks like it took time travel into the 50s of Boston. It was hard to sit there because there was no space in the booths. The pricing was a little pricy for everything. If you are ordering entrees alone you should have separate prices. With lobster roll (single item), 2 crab cakes, and scallops with fries came to $71. I am always watching customer service where ever I go and I think it could stand for improvement. Boston isn't like New York where you come across different cultures every day, but when they do it's welcoming in NYC. This place needs to be a little more welcoming and be able to explain its menu and flexibility. Good thing other places in New England have seafood because I will not be coming back here.

Yelp
Just left the Clam Box. I must say it was a pleasant surprise a good mixture of old and new We've seen many local landmarks change hands recently: Venetian, Maria's and I see some reviews that they aren't up to par with predecessor. I think they all have improved it's just not what we grew up with and don't wanna let go of our youth We both had the Clam Plate and Hamburger, both were very good. One comment I saw was about fries, two things. The first being I really don't go to seafood place for fries, I'd rather fill up on the good stuff. The main course is what I go for. Secondly the fries seemed the same as past few summers not sure new owners were ones that changed them. As far as I'm concerned the food was very good and am definitely returning a few times this summer. You also can't beat the views and location. It also seems that the staff are just as nice and premises a bit cleaner.

Chris G.

Yelp
We went to try the food with the new owners and it was fantastic. It was much better than last time we were there in the late summer. Yes, the fries changed, but they were still good. Sometimes everything doesn't stay the same, and people need to adapt. Very happy with our experience and we'll be back!

Cherry V.

Yelp
I've been going here for almost 20 years. I'm from Plymouth so I've always found them over priced but this past two seasons are insane. Tonight was the opening night and we went because it's a family tradition. We laughed at how much we paid for such a small amount of food and it was all over cooked. Please compare the menus between here and the Lobster Hut in Plymouth. It's insanity. When you eat outside here, you're in the middle of traffic. At least in Plymouth there's places to walk to for dessert and drinks and it's beautiful down there. Take the drive and get some great quality food for great prices.

Ethan 8.

Yelp
Ordered the fried whole belly clam plate--comes with crispy french fries and coleslaw. Good taste but was expecting a larger serving for the money.

William B.

Yelp
The food is subpar for the price you get $55 for chicken nuggets and fries lobsters roll and fries‍

H. G.

Yelp
Nice place for fried seafood right across from Wollaston Beach. High quality, good portions and friendly service.

Jay M.

Yelp
I eat there every year and always excellent. Today was first this year and not as crisp and well cooked as last year? Maybe a new cook or off day. Onion rings always crisp. Less scallops and clams this yet with inflation under Brandon. But, they kept prices not too high ... 25.00 is cheaper than elsewhere. 4.50 for beer reasonable as well. I'll eat again as I usually rate 4 or 5 stars. View and fresh air sitting outside is a nice lunch experience. They sub onion rings for fries with no up charges too.

Melanie B.

Yelp
Just giving fair feed back from restaurants that was amazing decades ago everything seems more rushed and food taste totally different but I still enjoy plate of scallops and fried clam strips with onion rings or salad

Jean F.

Yelp
Since the ownership has changed it seems the food is awful the scallops undercooked the clams have no bellies. Makes me sad I've been going to the clam box since I was a kid.

James P.

Yelp
Excellent spot for a summer afternoon! We came to have lunch and walk the beach. We tried a clam strip roll and the steak souvlaki. The clam roll was very good and really good size portion. Choice of strips or full bellies. We went strips. We also got the steak souvlaki which was a very good portion of steak tips served over a nicely toasted pita and served with fries and Greek salad. Wasn't expecting much for it being a clam shack, but this was very good. I would come back just for that. Prices are reasonable and service is super quick. Patio is amazing on a nice day. Give it a try if your in the Boston area this summer!

Joanie L.

Yelp
It pains me to knock down the amount of stars for Clam Box. I've been there twice in a month and both times there were def many things lacking. Last time we got a 3 way platter subbing onion rings for fries which is always appreciated since they do it at no extra charge. This time however they weren't fried enough and the whole plate needed salt. The clams were ok, on the small side but fine. Friend ate the scallops and liked them and we both thought the fried shrimp won the plate. Cole slaw is good and not a bad price for the plate at around $27 but the amount of food seemed to decrease. Tonite we got a fried shrimp plate cuz they were so good last time and were again tonite with good fries and cole slaw at a fab price of $16.95. But the two way with clams and fried fish subbing rings again didn't cut it. She told us the bellies were small. I don't know what kind of bellies these were but it was more like the bits you get at the bottom of the box. A bummer. The fish was good but the rings sucked. Kind of chewy and zero flavor. The price of $25 is good esp in comparison to Tony"s high prices, but I'd rather pay a few dollars more for real clams. That may be it for me this season.

Takeyon M.

Yelp
STOP! Listen to what others are saying. This place is a complete RIPOFF now! Seafood platter portions are minuscule for $40. Fries, yes everyone is correct they are still half cooked. Spending $150 for 3 plates that are kid portions and a lobster toll is ridiculous. The seafood platters only come with 4 whole clams with bellies. Don't do it! Keep your money and try another place

Paul H.

Yelp
Just tried the clam box with the new owners, said the menu would be the same nope no more club sandwiches always ordered a tuna club no more fries were bland, always loved the old fries, fish was good but the amount you get now is a lot less and more money onion rings were different too and small compared to the old owner. Started going to Tony's more money but a better experience plus I can get a tuna club. To bad I have been going to this place for years through 2 prayer owners. Why do new owners ruin what was working to to save some money.

Michael W.

Yelp
The service was okay, but their food needs major improvement. Burger was borderline inedible, and worse than my daughter's public school lunch. Fries were cold and definitely frozen. The lobster roll was rubbery and the bun was charred. Probably not coming back.

Nicole F.

Yelp
I 've been going to the Clam box since I was a kid, it's sad to see how bad the food is now. New ownership did not hold the standard. Fries do not taste the same, clams and fish were burnt. First time I ever had a horrible experience. Sorry to see this. Will have to finally try Tony's.

Barbara F.

Yelp
We went to Clam Box for lunch today. My husband had fried clams and I had the lobster roll. I have not had a lobster roll in years, so this a real treat for me. The roll had so much tasty lobster, I mean seriously, the roll was stuffed!! Hubby's clams were great too. We were there early and had the pleasure of sitting outside in the sun. Great experience. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Tina B.

Yelp
This place is a South shore staple!! Such an easy spot for a quick and tasty meal. it's consistent and delicious !! Have been coming here since I was a kid, make sure to stop by

Yelp
Another delicious dinner from the Clam Box. Fish is so flaky and light, amazing Onion Rings. Mom loved the Clam Strips, niece loves the full clams. Marko is doing a great job, thank you for keeping the Clam Box going!!!

Yelp
This place is now under new management and you can tell. The quantity of the food has definitely changed! You do not get your money's worth. Most recently went yestetday the day before the the 4th of july and got a shrimp appetizer $15 and only had 7 or 8 shrimp! Yeah I'll continue to frequent the new spot I found instead.

Yelp
The food is good but Very disappointed with the small portions on the seafood platter for $32.00. One small piece of fish, 4 clams w belly's, 5 small scallops and 6 shrimps. The pictures posted are fake because your not getting that amount of food on your plate. Not going back there again. Previous owners served large portions that you could not finish or have to share. These portions are so small I finished the plate first time ever.

Yelp
Stopped by the Clam Box yesterday. I usually go to Tony's but I knew the Clam Box was under new ownership and decided to give it a try. Maybe it's the end of the season and they're using up their remaining inventory but the whole belly fried clams were terrible. Overcooked, very little flavor and mostly too tough to chew. Bad enough that I won't bother giving them another try. I guess it's back to Tony's for me.

Yelp
There's no heaven on Earth like a pile of whole bellies fried to perfection and served by the ocean. I'll be back soon!
