The Coat of Arms Lounge

We started coming here about 7 years ago when we moved to midtown and we’ve been in love ever since! Great staff/service across the board, everyone is always friendly. Couldn’t ask for a better neighborhood dive!

After a pretty crappy day of work I stopped by Coat of Arms for a few drinks and a hopeful day turnaround. Walking in, right away I was greeted by a smiling attentive face named Laina. Usually I get the common, “Do you know what you’re having?”, which is fine. But Laina started off asking about my day and when my response wasn’t positive, she cheered me up with a funny joke and kept the vibes rising. Service was an all time high. Definitely will be back and looking forward to it!

Such a great little neighborhood bar. The atmosphere is always on point! And the AC in this heat wave is awesome ! And the bartenders are awesome and that’s what keeps us coming back!

Amanda is an awesome bartender. I love playing music thru Touchtunes. Pool table, electric dart board, and my leashed, well-behaved dog is allowed. No food.

This place is the best. A neighborhood staple with a great atmosphere, dog-friendly, solid drinks, and the best bartenders. Will always come back!

1st opinion? Wow so beautiful so tiny and it's only 3pm and an entire group of drunk people having a blast. I wasn't ever asked if I needed help , never offered a place to sit and join the others that appeared to be having fun. I mean the whole entire feeling was "you can't be in my club u ain't one of us so no u can't buy a drink .and why are you here". Vibe.. it's bizarre to me because I been here my whole 35 yrs of life and have no clue where this place came from? But reminder to the owners that THIS IS THE SOUTH greeting people at public bars would mean to at least fake your smile as a bartender and ask the girl who just walked in if she wants a drink.. instead I sat at the table waiting on someone to maybe serve me? & The bartender walked all the way to me AND SAID YOU CANT JUST SIT HERE you have to leave? But....if it's a special kind of people "club" bar - no one ever listed it on front door? ...confused and left irritated

Bartender with black hair Saturday 530 pm. Absolutely rude assuming because we are strangers to the bar. Preceded to ignore us twenty minutes at a time all while having a political conversation beside us. Never coming back because of her and her terrible attitude.

Best neighborhood bar in town. Laina is the best, Clay is kinda cool too. 10/10 would recommend.

Great sized neighborhood bar located on Wrightsville Avenue in midtown. Attentive Staff, Great selection, and most importantly an inviting and safe atmosphere where everyone is welcome. Pool, Darts, Dozen large TVS, Juke Box, Community!!, and more!!

Thank God for the regulars because they are the only reason we stayed for the short while we did. The bartender was incredibly rude when I was trying to close my tab. She only gave me an itemized receipt and actually told me not to tip her... what?? I always tip. I insisted on a new receipt that I could actually sign. Other patrons witnessed this and were super confused and apologetic. Nice military oriented wholesome crowd, but I wouldn't expect great bar service here.

The Coat of Arms Lounge is one of the best local bars in Wilmington. It's more than just a bar. For 50+ years The Coat of Arms has been a place where good friends meet and where good friends become family. The bartenders are friendly and do a great job at making everyone feel welcome. They also do a great job at keeping the not so nice people and the trouble makers out to keep a fun laid back atmosphere. They recently expanded and remolded. The bar looks awesome and has TVs all over so you can watch all sporting events. It is by far one of the cleanest bars around. I highly recommend this place.

The employees were unprofessional and completely rude. I even saw an altercation with one of the employees and a customer in the parking lot...never going back. Would not recommend.
