Cool place. Came for the fun gutter event. The band this week was great! Good variety of comedians. The event was definitely something I would come back to. I’m glad they had a great selection of non alcoholic drinks at the bar :)

What a wonderful place. A cobra club makes tonight. Good bartender. Good me. Non-alcoholic & me 0% tin canned. Live music. Fruit in jars. Estrella Jalisco. Been looking for Genesee beer and I found Genesee me. Three red blenders on the beer fridge; shirts for sale.

Beer's cold. Shots are appropriately sized. 5 stars overall -but this ain't no Le Bernardin.

what can I say. I love this bar, truly one of my favorite dives. karaoke 11pm-3am Friday and Saturday, it's free but tip the DJ to get on earlier usually. it's busy but honestly I've never waited long for a drink

Great bar but the security guy is truly the rudest, mean-spirited nasty person I’ve ever met. Awful welcome and a terrible goodbye. Not worth the hassle going here to get through him. A shame.

Smelled really bad the last time I walked in here but the pool table and performance space in the back are the wins. You can come here but bring a nose plug.

$8 beer and shot special everyday, little beer garden, always something going on depending on what day you go(follow them on ig). Pool table and big game hunter arcade. They also have some board games you can play with your homies. Workers are awesome and so is the service. -Love you Tania!!!

Me and a group of chill people came into Cobra Club Saturday night, August 30th, and were surprised at how lowkey the karaoke bar was in the back. They took requests, and it was a cool setup. What we didn't expect was for the hosts to be power-tripping on their jobs. Everybody in the room was having an amazing time, and one of our friends asked one of the hosts, the sweet girl Chloe, if they wouldn't mind if we sung happy birthday for our friend. The other host, who was making terrible jokes the entire night and mentioning how people kept leaving (wonder why) was officially bugging out. We did, everybody was happy to celebrate, it took 30 seconds. Then, he came over and started jumping and yelling and clapping at my friend, like a crazy person, and didn't let anyone speak over him. The entire room of people, even strangers, left, all with their own stories of how this guy found a way to be mad about something. Genuinely no bad intentions from my group, a birthday call out is at most slightly disruptive to an already poorly planned, lowkey self-centered hosting. (Chloe was a vibe tho, I'm sorry you work with that Miss. Freak!) The bar itself seemed to be cool tho, just definitely y'all need to fire that weird weird dude. Or get him sober. Thanks!

I tried to come here but came too late as the bar was closing. I was sympathetic to that and completely understood I was not going to be able to do karaoke or get a drink and expressed that to the bouncer and all I wanted was some time to figure out my next move. I was not drunk or in any way disrespectful to the door person. Instead of allowing me and my friends to request an Uber inside and wait for them, while it was blizzarding, the bouncer was extremely rude and pushy and would not allow us to wait a measly 10 minutes inside while more than 50 patrons were already there to wait for our ride. I understood that we could not stay there for service and communicated that to him clearly. I just wanted to take shelter from the extreme weather. He was the furthest thing from sympathetic. The bouncer should be fired.

The guy who hosted karaoke was so rude he caused almost the entire back room to walk out. He seemed to hate his job and it was definitely contagious in the crowd and confused everyone. He would tell everyone to shut the f up, or make condescending comments. I think another worker even yelled to watch his language. As we left, the staff said this isn't the first time people complained about that guy. Other people outside were also fuming about their own interactions with him. I was having so much fun until I interacted with him myself and i get along with everyone so it really took me by surprise

Let me start by saying I have been coming here for almost 10 years. Bartenders are great. But the Friday night karaoke was so incredibly demeaning. I've never been so publicly embarrassed in my life. The host was on a massive power trip and was acting incredibly entitled. Nobody wants to feel like a stupid person whenever they're doing karaoke and already putting themselves out there. It was hurtful and other members of the crowd were saying how incredibly disrespectful she was. So mean for no reason.

I've been here a few times over the years. Bartenders are always rude but the place is usually fun. I came with a group of friends recently and they were adding drinks to my tab, when I was closing I asked the bartender for the receipt so I could Venmo my friends and he told me "we're a dive bar we don't do that" ?? I figured he meant a printed one so I told him I just needed to see the itemized list since half the drinks were other peoples and he told me they don't have that information. What? How do you know how much I owe you and can't tell me what was ordered? The whole thing was really sus and felt like I was getting overcharged, likely the last time I go there

Really nice divebar with good deals. We grabbed the beer + shot special for less than $10. WHAT A DEAL. It can get really loud and crowded, so beware

A bushwick staple, best place to pregame before the party. You can play pool, hit the karaoke or relax and get a drink. Highly recommend and will always stop by this bar when in the area.

I never write reviews but I had to for this place. I went here on Halloween and on my way in I tripped and stumbled because I'm clumsy and the security guard at the door was like "wtf is going on" and giving me the dirtiest look of my life. Even after apologizing for tripping (which isn't something i should have to apologize for or deserved a dirty look in my opinion) so after that interaction I already wasn't feeling the bar. Then my friend got a drink he finished it and asked the lady behind the bar if he should hand the empty glass to her or leave it on the bar (very nicely I might add), she looks at him and says "don't you see me doing something wait till I'm f*cking done" extremely rude, so yeah don't come here the staff is extremely rude and unwelcoming.

The establishment is nice and fairly spacious. The bartenders were pretty friendly as well. The karaoke however was a mess. Very disorganized. The emcee was extremely rude and made fun of us when my friends and I asked when our song would come up, after waiting there for two hours. We didn't need the attitude. Meanwhile the same people went twice and he let his friends go. If the karaoke was better and maybe if they used a list, it would probably be a more fun place to be.

I worked in the restaurant industry for many years. It's harder than it looks, and I almost always take the side of the employee in a server vs. patron debacle. So, I don't bother to address bad service unless it really gets under my skin. Was in here on a Friday around midnight. Pretty empty considering the time. Hipster bartender with two man buns was walking towards my group, who was about 15 minutes in and in need of another round. My friend politely tried to get his attention with a simple smile and "excuse me" and he completely disrespected her: "hang on, I've got some important business over here with this guy. I haven't seen him in a while". He then went over to the guy sitting next to us and just started talking to him. Didn't serve him, cuz the guy already had a full drink. He was just talking. The guy the bartender was talking to clearly realized the service foul, and awkwardly apologized for his bartender friend's rudeness. I get it. You need to keep it friendly with your regulars. But it's bartending 101: if you're not doing anything and someone at you bar asks you to hand them another Miller, you do it. I like the vibe of this place, and the music and other bartenders are fine. But at the end of the day, they're more of a wannabe neighborhood dive than an actual dive. Hipster douchery. Won't be back.

Extremely rude bartender who overcharged me. Don't know his name. He said it was $18 I said I want to keep my tab open. 30 min later I change my mind. The bill is now over $30. I gave this a**hole a $1 tip. A good ol F U, and we won't be back. That's 5 customers you lost. Be aware. Don't go here.

There is a bouncer here here who is such a joyless and miserable and supercilious prick that he will pull the "You're too intoxicated" bullshit if he doesn't like you. And yes, he didn't like me -- despite the fact that I hadn't had a single drink all night and I wasn't unruly in any way. I had never has a problem with this place before. But I will never return to this shithole after this ridiculous treatment.

Don't come here. The owner was behind the bar and got into a screaming match at least 6 times with different people in the hour I was there. One time is a coincidence, but he was rude and problematic with everyone. Yelled horrible slurs at the people he didn't like. Don't come here.

In the area to catch a show around the corner so we came in here to kill some time. Sat at the bar for drinks, Tito's & cranberry for me not bad, good amount of alcohol my friend had a Jameson & ginger ale good as well. We relaxed here for a little bit, dimly lit definitely a dive bar type of place , service at the bar was good & prices are pretty cheap .. decent place to get drinks. Next time around went with some beer can't go wrong this time around the place was pretty crowded not bad over all this place is good for Just hanging & getting some drinks.

The ABC's of bars: A Bar, B Side, and Cobra Club. Cobra Club reminds me of some of my favorite spots in SF only without having to jump on a plane for cheap beer and whiskey combos. They used to open early and close late and my (now) wife and I found ourselves here so often we brought our wedding party for drinks before dinner. Never feel out of place whether I'm in shorts or a tuxedo. They even helped me propose.

I was so overwhelmed when I came in because it was so loud. It was incredibly dark, and my friend had to lead me through a dense crowd into a karaoke room. She said it was must-see, so I took a peek. I was immediately disoriented (even further) by the swirling green lights, robbing me of any sense of depth perception. Half afraid of losing my balance, I tuned in to the entertainment. Marvelous! This was fun and sloppy karaoke, but that didn't stop everyone else from dancing. It was surreal. Needing a break from sensory overload, I went out to the patio, which had just enough room to breathe. I was accosted by perhaps the worst hipster I've ever met, eager to boast about his tangential involvement with the local arts scene. I've heard Bushwick is where hipsters came from, and this totally demonstrates why. Nevertheless, I clutched my drink and continued exploring for a bit. Even though I was fighting a crowd to do much of anything on a Saturday night, it was still loads of fun and something I'd recommend for anyone coming through.

I've been coming to cobra club since before they were open. Until recently the service has been outstanding. Then they let this ditzy princess behind the bar. They call him "the Greek", but he's more like "the Grindr". If he spent less time preening and checking himself out in every mirror in the building, maybe it would take less than 20 minutes to get a drink.

Everything from the staff to the prices to regulars makes this place awesome. Matt a great bartender and we always have a blast with anyone else when we visit!

Correct me if I am wrong. Last time I checked, if I go to a bar and I say that I don't like my drink, I usually get a new one. In this place, apparently, if you don't like your drink, they call the bouncer and kick you out. My friend ordered a margarita. They gave her like lime juice. She asked: "can you add some tequila?", they shot some club soda in it. Ok. Then the bouncer came to kick my friend and her boyfriend out. We all left, of course. Interesting way of conducting business: losing 10 costumers. What can I say...the place is nice. I have a thing for dive bars, but I am having huge reservations coming back. Maybe, I guess, don't order margaritas? I don't know.... VERY DISAPPOINTED! I know this is a very partial and personal review. But I don't know...I might sound "traditionalist", but I feel like, as a business, you should work with your costumers, not against them. You should accommodate them. Especially if their request are totally reasonable... She could have simply said: we can't do a Margarita here, sorry...

Sooo cute! Their karaoke night is so fun. Great vibes. They have a back room with a stage, outdoor area, pool table, even an arcade game. Love it

Not sure what Julia the bartenders problem is. We watched her basically chase out two groups of people for using the bathroom before ordering a drink. She then stomped over to our pool table to demand we buy a drink and check ids. That's totally cool but there's a nice way to say it. There's a running joke with our group that the paintings on the wall are from the blood of her sacrifices. Karaoke nights are always a+ just avoid summoning the Demond.

I loved this place right off the bat! The atmosphere was welcoming and the tunes were amazing! Nothing quiet beats the heat it the middle of the day like listening to the Clash, drinking a delicious iced coffee and eating a yummy bran muffin with chunks of ginger. I was drooling over the "Dough"nuts! They had flavors from Dulce De Leche to Hibiscus! Next time! I will definitely be returning.

I don't live in NYC anymore but we always stopped by in the morning for coffee. Great people and surprisingly good coffee. From their IG account, it looks like they're back open.

Came here with some friends on a Friday night for the free comedy show. The bar is a nice space with a stage for events in the back. The event area is small and pretty intimate, you can recognize all the faces in the space. Drinks were alright both in taste and in price, happy hour ends at 9 pm and we just missed it which was a bummer. I've been told comedy night is either a hit or a miss. They have rotating standups with a moderator. There were two rows of seats in front of the stage but it was weird because no one sat in them. Most of the crowd was standing in the back which I think made it kinda awkward for the comedians because they can't see our faces and reactions. I still gotta give the moderator props, warming up a crowd is always tough. She was interacting with us to get a gauge of the professions and personalities in the room. She also called some people in the crowd out, which may or may not have added to the reason why a lot of people were standing in the back. Standing in the back also gives you easier access to leave the room and grab another drink so who knows We stayed until about 11 pm before we bar hopped and saw maybe 5 or so acts. Each person had their own style so there's a vibe for everyone. Would not recommend if you are "conservative" or "sensitive" about current events or drugs. Also everything gets funnier with another round of drinks. I'm not in a rush to come back but it was definitely entertaining and a solid night out for all of us!

Oh hell yeah! This bar rocks! I love the design and the drinks. It's a classic dive bar with all of the right things. The music choice was awesome and the prices were right, too. They had the classic cheap beers and ciders, mostly (if not all) local to New York State. We took the seats looking out the window into the street and did some wonderful people watching while sipping ciders and Genesees. The bathroom decor is some of the best I've seen, with weird stickers everywhere. Am I joking? IDK I was pretty drunk but I felt safe in these sticker and graffiti-covered sinks. One of them has an industrial sink that you would find in a janitor's closet. Idk if that's by accident or on purpose, but I dig it. They just need to keep up with replacing the toilet paper and they're good. Oh and there's a bomb little outdoor area for smoking/fresh air/phone calls. It's right around the corner from House of Yes in case you need a place to go before/after, this is the spot! Great bartenders, too!

The last bastion of cool in this area of Bushwick. Pop into Cobra Club on the weekend and you can enjoy a free show of tourists traipsing about the now patently un-cool area from the safety of the dimly lit dive. Trendy bars with outdoor seating nestled amongst the gentrification graffiti are now the norm in that area, as East Williamsburg bleeds further into Bushwick. But Cobra, dear Cobra, is holding out. There's no big sign on the outside, no street-facing patio seating for the vintage Adidas-wearing, irrationally beautiful trendsetters to put themselves on full display. It's dark and divey on the inside and outside, with mirror-less bathrooms covered in stickers, an outdoor area that's small and unassuming, and a back room perfect for hosting shows. Cobra is the kind of bar that puts on metal yoga on Sundays, self defense classes during the week, and karaoke late at night on Fridays. There's been a children's party or two in there during a Saturday or Sunday, and I can only imagine how cool those parents are. I've met some of my best friends in Cobra, it feels more like a community than any place I've ever been in the area. It's the kind of place where, when a non-regular was aggressively hitting on me on a Friday night, two girls confronted him and threw a drink on him when he got nasty--and HE was kicked out. No Nazis, no misogynists, no homophobes, no racists, no assholes. Cobra is a little slice of heaven in a neighborhood growing increasingly more insufferable. Plus $3 Hi Lifes during Happy Hour.

Coming to The Cobra Club for the first time last Saturday for a Lady Bits concert, I was quickly converted into a fan! A dive bar with an event space in the back, the drinks are cheap, the service is efficient, and the crowd is amicable. I'd definitely return!

I mean, it's fine. It's a bar, it's a little divey. Drinks are cheap and bartenders are surprisingly quick to serve. They have white wine on draft, which I can get hella down with. There's a pool table, which is amazing because the space is not huge. They have a back room where they do events like comedy shows and karaoke. Pee before you get there, the bathrooms are kinda gross. And also, no mirror, so you'll just have to feel around to make sure your hair is in place and nothing is stuck in your teeth.

I went to Cobra Club for the first time tonight and it was a great atmosphere! My first drink, a Dark and Stormy, was one of the most delicious I've ever had - and it's my go-to drink! I was excited to get a second. But when I ordered it, the alcohol in it smelled and tasted like tequila. I thought the new bartender (there'd been a shift change) had made me the wrong drink, so I took it back and asked politely for another from a different bartender. When I tasted the new drink, again, it smelled and tasted like tequila. I told the bartender there was something wrong and implored him, respectfully, to at least smell my drink. He refused, saying he'd made the drink I ordered and finally had a bar back taste the dark rum from the bottle to see if it was somehow tainted. The bar back proclaimed it tasted fine, and the bartender vehemently insisted that I was the one with the problem. So, I went to my party and had three different friends taste the drink, all of whom affirmed it was made with tequila. But, I felt such animosity from the bartender, I didn't dare go back and complain. I paid for the drink, but I won't be going back to Cobra Club.

Who doesn't love a dimly lit dive bar blasting heavy metal? I don't know what it's like on most nights, but it struck me as a biker hangout from all the heavy-set, bearded, tattooed men throwing down shot after shot. T'was a cool place to stop in, grab a few cheap drinks, and catch up with a friend. Found the bathroom graffiti oddly charming. Would come back for the karaoke experience everyone else is talking about!

Great location, great vibes, and GREAT drinks! The service at this bar is one of the biggest draws, IMO. Everyone is so nice and they're going out of their way to ensure that all COVID safety measures/precautions are followed diligently. Everything is priced well too. Highly recommend the creamsicle frozen cocktail--worth it, even in the cold.

This looks more like a bar than a coffee shop. I only came in to pick up a doughnut for my kid. This place came up on Yelp when I searched "doughnuts." Their doughnuts come from Dough in Bed-Stuy. Very good doughnuts! I got 2 of them; hibiscus and coconut. I also asked for a short espresso coffee while I was there. I don't know if the bartender didn't hear me or doesn't know what a "short" ("ristretto" in Italian) espresso is but he filled up my cup and the coffee wasn't so good. Oh well. Friendly service and friendly customers sitting nearby.

This is the perfect example of what a neighborhood bar should be -- chill, accessible, entertaining and inexpensive. I stopped in for the first time to get coffee midday, and struck up a conversation with a couple of the locals and the bartender. It was such an easy vibe, I could've sworn I was in Portland or Austin (but way cooler). The next time, I came for a baby music class, which was held in the large room in back. I was rushed, otherwise I would've stuck around for a pint and a game of Buck Hunter with the kid. Since then, I've been back at night with friends and out-of-town guests. The beer was cold, the music at perfect volume, full but not too crowded on a Saturday, and there was even a live band. I couldn't ask for more (except maybe that it was closer to our home). I first heard about this bar because of the yoga classes. I've yet to go, but I'm almost sure that when I do, I'll want to come back here and give The Cobra Club a sixth star. Punch air!

My review is strictly for the karaoke. I didn't eat or drink there or deal with the staff so I can't speak about them. However, when I return in the future maybe I'll get to do that via my friends' interactions. So it's located right near the L train in the midst of a warehouse district that's not quite hipster-ed up yet. You can literally walk out of the Jefferson Street stop & will be there after walking less than a block. They have karaoke every Friday night in their back room. The back room is the most interesting spot I've ever been for karaoke. It's literally a huge room with a stage that seems more suited to live music. Seating is at a premium here since they have benches on either side of the wall & that's it. However, the people who do karaoke here have a HUGE & comprehensive book of songs. They also take requests so if you can't find it in their book, ask them if they have it. They're very friendly and will either be able to get it for you or may already have it. If you want to sing in front of lots of people, you probably want to sing at about 12:30/1 a.m. since that's when we saw the most people in there. I'm not sure if maybe my singing drew a few people in but you are going to be in Hipster Heaven here & if you aren't one or semi-young, it will show. Think of this as a good audition space for karaoke songs. I saw people do various selections & the fear of public humiliation is less if you sing before 12 a.m. (they start at 11 p.m.). Since it's very close to our house & goes on weekly, we'll definitely be back.

Cobra is one of my favorite places to go in Brooklyn. The bartenders are amazing, the vibe is great, it feels like a home away from home when I hang out there. 14/10

I love dive bars that accept credit cards. Their beer selection is good. They've got a big ass projector screen playing cool shit. There's a back room for events. They have a side yard for smoking and general debauchery. Bartenders are cool. Crowd is awesome.

This place is crazy mesh if a lot. Cafe early, cocktails, and at the end of the 3a drinking session, molds into a punkish bar and drunken spillover from HoY. It's among the few places worth going out in this neighborhood.

Nice music venue. They have a room for bands to play and for DJs. They have a nice pool and big screen for sports games. Good vibe. Can get a big crowd on weekends. Good variety of beers.

It's too loud for me. You might like it anyway, I'm getting old. I had some great times here but that was six years ago. Now they play heavy rock very loud indeed. I can't hear my friend speak. Other than that it's ok.

I love this bar. One of the bartender however is terrible - she's constantly in a sad, negative state and will find any reason to start screaming at a customer and then demand they leave the bar if they dare speak back to her. I've seen it multiple times - it's ridiculous and embarrassing. They would be doing everyone a favor if they let her move on.

The Cobra Club? More like The Cutie Club because they got some fine tail working behind the bar. What do they have to offer you ask? I don't know why don't you take out your list Santa and check it twice because here it comes: coffee, beer, wine, cocktails, pool, yoga, MeTaL yoga, baby yoga, yogi the bear, live music, boobies (I've seen a few), DJs, karaoke and maybe stuff that I'm forgetting. Am I drunk? Possibly. Am I here now drunk? WHO'S ASKING? Have I been punched in the face here before?* Yes. Did I get laid because of the black eye? You betcha. BEST MONTH OF MY LIFE. Now, that I've already peaked, how about you do yourself a favor and have your ID ready at the door and get your privates ready for the dance floor. Enjoy yourself because we're all gonna die alone but at least for tonight you'll probably have a solid drunk conversation with your Uber driver while you go home alone at 4am. Looking at most of these reviews the complaints seem to be about the personnel. I agree. I have never been there for a function. So, that may be exciting. I have only been in a few times during the day. The place is so boring, especially with an exciting name like Cobra Club, that I never felt compelled to write anything. I could just say, Boring and that would be my entire review. But, to be fair, this place maybe awesome at night. I can only write based on my experience. What did I hate. I hated going in there and seeing the same bartender that served me when he was still wet behind the ears a year or so ago, couldn't find a whiskey bottle or make a decent drink. He overpoured that time so I didn't complain. Also, I wanted to be kind. Everyone has too start somewhere. Fast forward, one year later, still watching this guy fumble around trying to figure out what liquor he has in the bar. Really dude, your selection is not that big. In fact, it is actually fairly limited. You don't know it by now?...after a year plus? (smh). Maybe, it is unfair for me to overestimate his capabilities. So, i change my order to something I know he has to have. Trying to help out, you know. So, he walks away to make the drink and THEN asks for my ID. Okay, so maybe he doesn't remember me...fine. Maybe, the gray hair and gray beard Im sporting on my near half century old face is not sufficient...fine. All Good, but next time you are going to ID someone then do it when they come to the bar. Don't spend 15 minutes looking for liquor you don't have, wasting my time, your time and the rest of the patrons time. Then start making another drink and THEN ask for ID. I like to understand things. Intelligence is greatly appreciated in my world. So, either you only asked for my ID because you were embarassed about not having the liquor and more embarassed that you didn't know your bar. And you did not originally ask me for my ID the last time I was there or this time because it is blatantly obvious that I am old enough to drink and possibly qualify for a senior discount. So that must be it OR the only other alternative is your just not that bright. Either way, I understand why you work in the daytime. I originally had one star but I do have some compassion for the pathetic.

I love that this place opens as early as it does. Good cup of morning coffee or a quick beer and shot depending on how you're feeling. Nice set up with an outside smoking area within the bar. Several games to okay. Service is ok. I've had good times here. Karaoke is fun!

This place is an institution in this area, which in the past few years has acquired the extremely annoying moniker of "Jefftown", after the Jefferson Ave L stop that serves it. Most will agree that this area surpassed environs of the preceding Morgan L stop some time ago, despite that area having a but of a head start with its development(gentrification?) with Robertas and what followed. This bar, like the best establishments in the area give a glimmer of hope to some of us long time New Yorkers and indicates that the neighborhood, in spite of rapid and inevitable yuppification, nonetheless is home to some amount of the edgy creative energy once found in the now-Disneyfied precincts of Williamsburg, the East Village and Lower East side. The spiritual descendants of the gritty and proudly dirty types that once filled the late lamented dive institutions eras pasts in those hoods carry the torch as much as possible in this increasingly financial city here and at other like minded neighborhood haunts. Drinks are cheap(ish) weirdos abound, and all types of randomness is featured in the expansive but appropriately dank back room including, most importantly my favorite Karaoke in town!

Best place for a cooffee and a donut on the way to work or for some day drinking because they serve both kinds of brew here. They have an eclectic style of music on their sound system so you can mellow out. They also have a pool table and a yoga studio at the back and an outdoor drinking/eating area off the side of it in aclosed off alley. The Jefferson Street Station of the L line, the entrance is next door.

This place is a real diamond in the rough, if the rough is a slimy wave of commercial and brooklyn-chic style restaurants hitting the neighborhood. The cobra club is not that. While not necessarily the oldest bar in the neighborhood, the cobra club exudes a raw and genuine atmosphere that really speaks true to hearts like my own. The drinks are priced right, the staff is amazing, and it has all the qualities of a bar I like. Put in a working jukebox and a pinball machine and you can bury me here when I'm dead.
