The Codfather in Vegas serves up unbeatable fish and chips with generous portions and a charming vibe that screams British nostalgia.
"Following a summer closure, the Codfather has reopened just a few doors down from its original location, meaning an expanded dining area and a bar. It all sets the scene for British-style fish and chips. Flaky cod is coated in crispy golden batter that is both light and rich. Fries are hot and pillowy — just right for dunking into pleasantly tangy tartar sauce." - Janna Karel, Matthew Kang, Rebecca Roland
"This British-owned chip shop earned a cult following for its golden beer-battered fish and chips. But cold evenings call for bowls of clam chowder. Decidedly old England — not New England — style, this soup is creamy, briny, and savory — with lots of clam and green onions. It’s good to go or can be ordered at the restaurant’s new and expanded location just a couple of doors down from its original home." - Janna Karel
"Some of the best fish and chips you can find on this side of the Atlantic comes from this Henderson chip shop. Supple cod is beer-battered until crisp and golden brown, served super hot. Cod and chips starts at $14.95 but it’s worth springing for an extra side of clam chowder." - Janna Karel
"A British chip shop that closed and reopened in a larger space, known for its fried fish and chips." - Janna Karel
"The Codfather restaurant closed over the summer and reopened in a new space at 2895 North Green Valley Parkway F. The new location in the same shopping center offers expanded booth seating, a lounge-style area with a sofa, a wide patio space, and a bar. The menu includes British-style fish and chips, flaky cod in crispy batter, fries, battered and fried haddock, catfish, vegan protein, clam chowder, Sheffield fish cake, and mushy pea fritters. Current hours are 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday." - Janna Karel
