Houston’s Best Coffee Shops | Eater Houston

"Looking for a change of scenery or a working space with a view? This beautiful, bustling coffee shop, housed in a former church, offers three floors of seating and a charming rooftop with patio seating and couches. The drink offerings also won’t disappoint, with traditional espresso options, drip coffee, teas, and specialty coffee and tea combos." - Brianna Griff

11 Cafes And Coffee Shops For Doing Work In Houston

"Without a doubt, the Coffee House At West End in the Washington Corridor was intentionally built as a place for you to sit and do work. There are a dizzying number of tables—more than even seems necessary—plus two floors, tons of coffee drinks and snacks, and a fair amount of outlets. While most seats are filled with folks who skew a little younger, likely because the sheer size of the place makes it perfect for groups, there’s space for everyone. Since so many people are here working, the wifi drops in and out, so don’t plan on having any video chats or meetings, but you can still work non-stop without connection issues. " - chelsea thomas

Definitely a coffee shop that should explore valet parking. But its core clientele are students from area institutions who hog the seating areas and the parking lot. Nothing against this kind of patronage but a return visit is highly unlikely for the service. Asked for dine-in but was served in to-go cups. Subliminal message? The espresso was perfect - zero after taste bitterness. The cappuccino unfortunately was average. Very limited desserts and the blueberry scone was really a cake in texture.

I've only visited the place once and have not had the food. The vibe was chill and people seemed mindful of each other. I have not sat here working, but given how quiet it was on this visit (weekday afternoon). I would spend an hour or so here, certainly. Great decor. Love the modern industrial feel. Plenty of seating. My iced coffee was good enough. The brew was strong, which is much preferred over watery coffee. Service was fine.

Saturday morning there should be more staff. Tables are dirty service is slow and there is lots of space to fill for guests but if there is not enough staff to fill orders then people won’t continue to come and enjoy the coffee. Coffee was good. I had The “First Date” in a porcelain cup. Much better than the taste of the coffee in a paper cup.

I liked the fact that there are 4 levels of seating to choose from. During the day, which is when I went, there were enough people on the first level for it to feel like a popular coffee house. The second level was a bit more quiet. For people who desire a more intimate atmosphere with less talking. Level three was closed off from all of the noise, spacious, and respectably quiet with large tables for those who like to read or study with huge windows that allowed for awesome views. Then there was the rooftop. The rooftop is my favorite because of the views. It's very nice. Ample seating during the day, but I'm sure at night the views of the lit up skyline make the rooftop competitive. I enjoyed the coffee. It was a bit challenging to order because they don't have a menu backboard. However, they do have menus you can pick up and read while you wait in line. They have pastries and prepackaged sandwiches if you're hungry, but it is a coffee house. Don't expect a meal. Overall, I liked it.

The place has a great ambiance, and the coffee is exceptional—truly a delight. However, the seating situation is a challenge. Despite having three floors available, it often feels overcrowded, leaving no room to sit and enjoy. Improving seating arrangements or optimizing space usage would make the experience much more enjoyable.

🕐 A Frustrated 12:50pm Coffee Quest I pulled into the area just before 1 p.m., already tense from circling unfamiliar streets hunting for something deceptively simple—safe parking. The kind where you don’t glance over your shoulder every three seconds or wonder if your car will still be there when you leave with your drink. Eventually I found a spot and stepped into what looked like another trendy coffee shop in Houston. The kind you go to for a casual cup, idle chatter, or heads-down laptop time. Familiar layout, familiar feel. But that parking stress didn’t fade—it followed me in like a shadow of Debbie Downer mode (LOL). I did appreciate one thing immediately: menus posted for browsing while you waited in line. As someone new to this shop, that helped. I scanned for something interesting, hoping the drink would turn my mood around. But then the waiting began. And this wasn’t the kind of wait with intention—no clear counter space to stand, no real flow or system. Just drifting, hoping to catch someone’s attention. Behind the counter, two staff members chatted away—laughing, lingering in conversation while drink orders piled up. Mine included (ha-ha). Minutes passed. They weren’t prepping, weren’t blending, weren’t brewing. Just talking. Meanwhile, I stood there watching this slow unravel of customer service. My frustration reached its peak. By the time I left, I knew I wouldn’t return. Not because the coffee was bad—it might’ve been decent, had I gotten it with any sense of care—but because the experience felt like an afterthought. Houston has no shortage of coffee shops. But too many follow the same script: no safe parking, no spatial awareness, no commitment to community or comfort. And the menus? Predictable. I long for cafés that celebrate global coffee traditions—give me Turkish richness, Arabic spiced blends, Indian filter coffee, Brazilian depth. Not the same espresso and oat milk options copied from the next place over (hint starts with S and B). If anyone's listening: start with safe parking. Then build an experience worth staying for.

I'm so glad this was my first stop in Houston. I ordered a turkey and goat cheese croissant with a strawberry fields matcha and everything was very good! Wifi is good for working or taking calls with your camera off. Lots of seating and a relatively quiet atmosphere. I'd definitely go back!

Absolutely loved this spot! The atmosphere was welcoming, the service was attentive, and everything we tried was fresh and delicious. A hidden gem worth visiting—will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
With so many new coffee shops in Houston it's hard to know where to check out. I stopped by here because I saw their unique seasonal menus and was not disappointed! We tried the sweet evergreen latte and the dirty snowflake. I liked the dirty snowflake more. It was sweeter and the coconut flavor was tasty. The sweet evergreen latte was also good, less sweet and the hint of rosemary offered a unique spin on coffee. We visited on a Saturday 5pm (they close at 6pm) and it was packed! There was no open seating despite their three floors of seating options. Luckily we had made the decision come here as a quick stop before dinner. There was also a line to order and drinks took about 10 minutes to come. There is a decently sized parking lot that is shared with the actual West End Church. We were able to find a spot but got lucky because someone else was pulling out at the same time we arrived.

Yelp
We enjoyed the west end latte with the chocolate muffins. The latte was delicious and definitely the signature the muffin was delicious too. The coffee shop is really big but we went Saturday afternoon and it was packed. Too full we couldn't find a spot to park or sit inside. We had to jump to get a seat when people were leaving. The music and indoor noise was average and could be distracting if loudness is an issue. There is an indoor piano where people can come and play. I thought that was pretty sweet!

Yelp
Another coffee shop on my continued hunt to work on my dissertation all over the city. Coffee House at the West End really is set up for working, with ample space and floors to find spots, relatively easy parking, and coffee to stay awake. Even though its a pretty large coffee shop, it feels cozy with wood tones, sofa seating, high tables, and everything in between that I'm sure anyone can find a comfortable spot (if there are any left). You order at the cashier and people seemed friendly, I asked about the house latte since they have a special syrup and ended up getting it. I can't say much about the latte tbh, it wasn't super memorable and it just tasted like coffee? I'm still down to try their other coffees and pastries in the future though. Overall, a nice work space during the weekend but does seem to be pretty popular and can get crowded. Coffee wasn't amazing to me but I'm also not a huge coffee drinker so nuances are lost on me.

Yelp
Great coffee and vibe!! This cafe is part of West End Church next door although it is for all people regardless of background. The community and staff here are always friendly and inviting. There's plenty of seating too. There's 2 indoor floors and a rooftop. The cafe has a rustic but modern touch to it. There's books everywhere on the second floor as well and few outlets. The coffee here is great. Their west end syrup is pretty sweet and delicious! Since it's next to the church, parking can be difficult sometimes, either in their direct attached lot or the lot across the church but there is also street parking. This place can get packed pretty quickly but always a good time!

Yelp
Despite their location in The Heights (#1), The Coffee House at West End has become one of my favorite places to enjoy some virtual work time with a caffeinated beverage. It has also served as a wonderful meeting spot with the occasional people wathcing, fabulous WiFi, and enough space to where nothing feels uncomfortable or stuffy. The building itself is historically significant, where it was built by the West End (Baptist) Church and utilized as a Sunday school for decades. Eventually it fell into ruins before finally being revitalized in the last decade. The coffee portion is only of the last few years, making this one of the city's most popular destinations for community, coffee, and solo work / study sessions. They've done such a great job with the space where it's like a lounge but also a versatile venue that could host a number of events. I especially love the third floor quiet area because it feels like a world away from everything else. The bathrooms are clean and the vibe is pleasant all around. As for the coffee, it's very well priced and very good. Mos items are $5 and under, with the exception of the Big Tex Latte ($6). The chai ($5 for large) and the west end late is ($5.50) is quite tasty with a bit of sweetness. I have been all about their cold brew ($5), drip coffee, and especially their iced matcha. For the most part, the service is polite and generally good about getting drinks out quickly. I wouldn't come here with a group of folks due to potential seating challenges. Parking is usually a cinch, since the they have a dedicated lot. ___________ (#1) Because clearly, this is my favorite neighborhood.

Yelp
It was multistory with a lot of seating! It could fit around 40-50 people with all the floors it had! My only struggle with finding outlets. You should probably get there early to find a table if you want to do work. Latte was yummy with a lot of options for coffee, teas and beverages.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is huge. Nice vibe. But it's always packed so if you need a spot to work, get there early. I don't really like having to search for a seat so this place isn't really my vibe. And it gets pretty loud. The food options include pastries and cookies. The cookies are good! But their coffee isn't for me. I had a vanilla latte and my friend had a drip. It tasted kind of burnt. Not for me, but definitely well liked by a lot of people.
google avatar

Yelp
This place has a great vibe. It has two floors. There is a piano you can play on the first floor. You order at the counter. I had a delicious tea with steamed milk. Prices are reasonable. There is plenty of free parking in the attached lot. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Yelp
Saw this place and thought it would a great place to try out for a meetup spot on a rainy day. When I went up to the counter the guy did not seem interested in greeting me, but I greeted him and asked how he was doing. He said fine and proceeded to wait for me to order without asking what I wanted or just a kind response. After I ordered, didn't get a thank you either, so customer service was very lacking for me. Anywho, loved how the inside of the place was setup, lots of seating and an upstairs as well with additional seating. With the time of day we came, mostly everything was taken, but we caught a table as someone was leaving, so that worked out great! We ordered two caramel vanilla lattes, which in my opinion were good, but didn't taste anything like caramel or vanilla. Fortunately, I still liked my drink, but, tasted like a regular degular latte. The texture of the latte was silky smooth so props for a solid bevvy. Ordered a croissant and snickerdoodle cookie and both were just ok as well. Nothing that makes me want to buy them again. But all in all, think I need to try it on another day, lots of potential here.

Yelp
I've been here many times and always a very warm and positive vibe! It's a good spot to come read a book, have great coffee and good pastries. Service is great and the environment is super friendly

Yelp
I had been looking forward to this place as I heard there was a rooftop area with very cool city views. They have a decent sized parking lot but it was pretty tough to find a spot. I assumed it had something to do with being next to a church. They seem to have a large staff yet there's a pretty long line greeting you when you walk in. The staff is nice and welcoming. Happy to answer any questions on their menu. It turns out this place is packed with people who look like they were studying or just hanging out. It's a 4 story place but most of the seats were taken! The roof I was so psyched about was actually pretty tiny and super windy up there. Anything you put down will certainly fly away. Luckily it was a nice cool/sunny day so we hung out for a bit regardless of this. Their teas we got were pretty bland. We could've steeped a better drink at home. I know it's a coffee place but you'd think they could do a little better. It's a nice building but the rest isn't that memorable. Unless you're a student or a church-goer next door, I'd skip this spot.

Yelp
One of my top favorite coffee places in HTX! The atmosphere here makes you want to stay here for hours! Great for people that WFH, it has a second and third floor I believe and the whole aesthetic of the place is inviting and comfortable with chairs couches and desks. The first time I came grabbed a pumpkin latte now I had the black cherry mocha DELICIOUS! So yummy and good there's so many options of different coffee and it's not just sugar like other coffee spots (I'm looking at you Starbucks) this is actually strong well made coffee. Definitely my go to when I'm on the area. +++++++{Chocolate croissant You MUST have it!}++++++

Yelp
Disclaimer: I'm on a hunt for the best cafe to work from as I'm working remote. My review is based on factors primarily for a good place to work from and the coffee or food is secondary. Overall FABULOUS cafe for work and coffee. Noise level - 62db quiet conversation Wifi speed - 223 down 209 up (I sat on the 2nd floor above the baristas because I think that's where all the network equipment is located - Speed is unbelievably fast for a cafe!) Power outlets - around 10 (You'll have to grab a seat at the tables near the walls, pillars or the centre stage in order to get power. Anywhere else has no power outlet.) Seats - 50 indoors Parking - free 10 lots I arrived at 0810am and there were about 10 people. By 0900, it is packed with at least 30 people. The wifi speed test was done when it was crowded and still lightning fast. For quiet work, I'd recommend sitting in the middle on the second floor (I only spotted 2 power outlet) with less human traffic as distraction, and away from the baristas shouting names and away from casual conversations on the ground floor. The service was great! The barista was friendly. My $9 almond croissant was expensive but HUGE, dense & delicious. My latte was pretty good.

Yelp
Service, ambiance, and vibes were immaculate 10/10. I haven't personally found my favorite drink yet so still on the hunt !

Yelp
Coffee House at West End is an interesting concept. It seems to be affiliated with the church, but it's not like they're going to shove God down your throat, just coffee. There's the wild open space on the first floor, then the 2nd floor is like a cozy little spot. Seating here on the 2nd is a little haphazard, there were some folks who were spread out their legs that made walking around difficult. It's not super difficult to find outlets. It might be crowded when you go. There's also a 3rd floor but I didn't take a look at the layout. The bathroom is a little old school but has its charm! Music isn't too loud. They have their own parking but it could be difficult to find. I'd definitely come here again if I'm in the area!
google avatar

Brittany H.

Yelp
Definitely a zen vibe. Feel very relaxed and comfortable here. Visit here for our troop merit badge class course. The music playlist is a huge neo-soul vibe. Michael Jackson remember the times. Lauryn Hill can't take my eyes off of you Erykah Badu Next Lifetime. Sade. Maxwell. And so much more fantastic sounds Service is pleasant, No name call out for items. The vibe and music is top tier The pumpkin spice iced coffee is okay. Milk choice is whole or skim. No 2% here. No military discount is offered No whipped cream in house.

Yelp
Review as someone looking for the perfect remote work spot. The venue is really nice. I enjoyed the table setup with comfortable seats (this is my biggest kicker for coffee shops. I do not want to sit on a bar stool) so I liked that they had some lounge chairs Coffee wise I did not like the cold brew it was bitter and over extracted. The latte was better but not great. Both around 6 dollars I really wish they at least had some Paninis or something. We ended up cutting our work session short to go get a real meal because we were starving and didn't want pastries. If not they should at least let in outside food Baristas were nice
google avatar

Brooke A.

Yelp
Love this location. Lots of seating. Tons of fun food and drink options that get seasonal rotations. They even have postcards they will send off for you which I thought was such a fun touch!
google avatar

Chi A.

Yelp
I came to work out of the Coffee House just to switch up my work setting. I got here at 10am on a Monday and there were a few parking spots available but they do have parking and a decent amount of it. The cafe is three floors, along with a rooftop so there's plenty of space for everyone. I primarily worked out of the 3rd floor but only stayed a few hours because it was FREEZING up there! I even asked if they could turn the air off or the heat up but neither of those things happened. I will say the first and second floor were not as cold. The staff were great and the butter croissant I had was delicious. My only suggestion would be to close down for a day or two and conduct a very deep cleaning of the cafe. It wasn't dirty in the least bit but just a bit dusty. A deep clean would certainly help.
google avatar

Spencer R.

Yelp
First time being here and it was a great experience. Its a simple menu and they even have a house syrup they us. Its delicious in a latte. Wonderful views from the rooftop!
google avatar

Edelyn C.

Yelp
One of the best coffee houses in Houston if you're looking for a place to work comfortably! There are a total of 4 floors with the 4th floor being the rooftop area but it is currently way too hot in Houston to be up there during the day. 1st and 2nd floor also have QR codes on the tables so you can order and not have to get up as they'll bring it up to you! The 3rd floor reminds of a college floor with the setup of the plastic chairs and tables. Overall, very much recommend!!
google avatar

Christina G.

Yelp
This coffee shop is amazing!! It has four floors! The ground floor is beautiful and perfect for meeting friends, the second floor is nice and cozy, third floor is good for a larger meeting group (they have large tables) and the fourth floor is a roof top. Def a place to enjoy a nice latte and meet with friends or read/work. It does get pretty busy during the week but you can almost always find a spot to sit if you wait. 10/10 recommend!

Yelp
I'm all about that coffee life and am always on the hunt for new to me spots around town. I've had this place bookmarked for awhile and finally got the chance to try it. For the size of the place, there isn't a huge parking lot, but I got into the lot and there is street parking available. The building itself is beautiful. The West End Church decided to take this old building and turn it into something the community can enjoy. It has three inside floors and a rooftop deck on the top. I love how they tried to keep some of the original aesthetics of the place and just clean it up. The first two floors have major coffee shop vibes with comfortable seating set up to socialize. The third floors was more of hall with tables and seating as well, but did not have the cozy vibes like the first two floors. Customer service was ok, mostly straight business. Like always, I kind of went in with a game plan. I had my coffee and pastry already picked out in my mind. Then we saw the summer menu and my coffee choice changed. They had a Butterscotch Cold Brew that sounded really good to me so we ordered that. I so wanted a cinnamon roll, but their inventory around 10 in the morning was pretty low and they were out of that. The croissants looked amazing and we ordered a few of the chocolate ones. We found a cozy spot on the second floor and tried out our treats. The cold brew was pretty solid. The butterscotch flavor wasn't distinguishable though. Luckily they used quality coffee to take my mind off that. The croissant was absolutely delicious. It was so buttery and flaky, with just enough chocolate to not overpower the delicate pastry. Before we knew it, a few hours had passed and all our goodies were done. It was a little warm on the second floor which made us want to take off. Overall, I liked this spot and can see myself coming back.
google avatar

Ann S.

Yelp
First time here. Didn't bother to buy anything since there was nowhere to sit with a reachable power outlet. Hence, the 3 stars. I only found 2 empty tables on the third floor. This was around 11:30 am. There are four floors in total. The 4th floor is the rooftop. The ground floor has a tiny stage. There are different seating arrangements throughout each floor. The 3rd floor is the most basic but the most quiet. I was shocked based on how the 1st and 2nd floor are decorated. It looks like it was formerly a conference room and they opened it up for public use. Basic tables and chairs scattered around. The ladies' restroom on the first floor is cute! It has a mix of vintage and modern features. The parking lot was full and I was able to secure a spot only because someone was leaving a few seconds after arriving. They are open daily. Wish they stayed open late. I must say that their pastries are pricey. A ham and cheese croissant is $11!! Hopefully one day I'll be able to come here on a less packed day and taste their coffee. So basically if you arrive and the parking lot is mostly full and you want to work/study for a while, forget about it.
google avatar

Angeline D.

Yelp
Heard about this coffee shop from several people and finally decided to give it a try. Came here on a Sunday, but be mindful that the parking lot has a sign that indicates church parking only. I think service was over, so I was able to park there anyway. (I think you could've parked across the street if the lot wasn't available.) As soon as you walk in, you see all the tables and chairs available. There were still a good number of seats still available when I arrived. There's rooftop seating available too with a pretty good view of downtown. Can definitely see myself wanting to sit up there when the weather is nice. Overall chill atmosphere and the music was not blaring. Service was pleasant and fairly quick. I had put my stuff down and my croissant and drink were ready. I ordered the unsweetened iced matcha latte with extra matcha and almond milk. Not exactly my favorite iced matcha. I love anything matcha and I really like to taste the bitterness of it. (Sounds weird, I know. Lol) even with asking for extra matcha, I just tasted mostly the almond milk. That's a common thing I come across most coffee shops that offer matcha lattes (Not sure if they all serve ceremonial grade matcha, do they just pour powder in and mix or do they whisk the matcha, etc. etc.). I wouldn't get this next time I come, I'll have to their coffees for sure. The chocolate croissant was pretty big ! And oozed with chocolate. Would get again. I did see they have mini croissants as well. I can see why this coffee shop is recommended and is included on lists for best coffee shops to get work done. I'd definitely return and hope to try their coffees next time.
google avatar

Yelp
The Coffee House at West End is the perfect place to get work done! They have a communal space on the third floor with round tables. Unfortunately, their chai is not gluten free, but I got an iced almond latte and it was really good. Restrooms are clean! Staff is nice and welcoming.
google avatar

Daysi L.

Yelp
This is a really nice place to study! So much seating inside and there's three floors. The roof also has seating. The coffee was delicious and not over priced! Around 4-6 dollars. Service was good just a cashier. Very chill and quiet. I would love to come again just for a long study session. I've been like three times before and each time was great.

Yelp
First time at The Coffee House At West End. It's cute. It's connected to a church and there's plenty of seating options both indoors (upstairs as well) and outdoors. I met my friend around 10:30 and we ordered with ease and found a place to sit outside. Now while I appreciate the vibe/ambience, and the good coffee...y'all don't have enough food options for me. I was starving and while the croissant did what it needed to do it was not enough. My only grievance. There were some prepackaged sandwich options, but they all had meat on them. Aside from that, I can see myself returning. The service was good too.

Yelp
Wow, this place was definitely worth the stop on my way home from Houston. I love finding good local coffee places when visiting cities for work and this is definitely added to my favorites while in Houston. Let's start with the ambiance because there is nothing better than an IG worthy coffee shop and this place did not disappoint; so so cute. Now to the real reason you need to go, the cold brew was so smooth I always ask about any syrups made in house and they have this mocha/caramel/coconut syrup that they make....it was delicious. They had a great selection of pastries I tried these tiny croissants (one almond and one chocolate) and they were well worth the calories---they warmed them automatically which was a pleasant surprise. The baristas were incredibly helpful and friendly to top everything off; you need to stop here. I can't wait to come back
google avatar

Yelp
Seems like a popular place to come and work. It was really crowded for a Tuesday afternoon. The staff was really kind and patient, as this was my first time here. I didn't see any food but maybe they have a few pastries tucked away somewhere that I didn't see. I ordered the hibiscus mint tea with honey and it was so tasty and refreshing. For how crowded it was, it wasn't loud or chaotic at all. Hopefully I can find a time that is a little less busy but I will be back.
google avatar

Erica G.

Yelp
While their west end latte wasn't my overall favorite I have ever had, I would definitely come just for the asthetic and view overlooking downtown. The staircase is a bit hidden, but once you find it and make your way up to the rooftop... It's beautiful. Great spot to enjoy a cup of coffee for sure. If you want extra space to study that is quieter, go to the second floor. There is a huge space where you may be able to get more work done. This place was crowded when I went on a Sunday afternoon. So, beware! This isn't such a hidden gem.
google avatar

Benjamin C.

Yelp
The Coffee House (owned by West End Church) boasts one of the largest spaces for a coffee shop inside the loop, with a large first floor area with powered high tables and outlets scattered throughout, a second floor atrium with low couches, and a third floor quiet area with fold out tables. Coffee is pretty standard for a Houston area third wave coffee shop, with rotating specialty drinks. You can order from your table using the QR codes but as far as I can tell this is a seldomly used option. Music volume is medium, with a mixture of folk-indie and some pop. My advice is to come here for those days where you have some errands/ planning to do, enjoy the vibes, and get to work!

Yelp
Okay I'll admit when I first rolled up and saw a church I thought my GPS had taken me to the wrong place. I'm glad I walked across the parking lot and saw this little gem tucked in. The interior is gorgeous. There's plenty of seating. I was able to snag a table up on the second floor overlooking the cafe. The latte was PERFECTION, and the croissant sandwich I got really hit the spot. The barista that helped me saw me walk in and then went back to his phone for almost 5 minutes until one of his coworkers (who was working on something else) asked if he was going to help me. The other people there were so sweet, he kind of made me feel like I was wasting his time. I would still go back though, everything else was great!

Yelp
I have been on a coffee shop hunt the last few weeks. I definitely think I found my new working spot. I loved the different levels to study, work or whatever you like. They also have an outdoor rooftop to chill at. The staff is extremely friendly/helpful. My only complaint would be better food options. The pastry/food options are limited which is a downside. Other than that- I will definitely be back!

Yelp
This coffee shop is a go to if you want a nice, urban place study. It's very unique as it is connected directly to a church. It has a nice ambiance and it has plenty of spaces. I have tried this place several times and consistently the coffee is pretty good. I usually get the West End Latte, and it's not super sweet nor is it overly bitter. I would recommend requesting it at kid's temperature because it usually ends up a little bit too hot for my taste. The service is good, the workers are pretty friendly. They do have seasonal items in the bakery! During last fall they had a delicious pumpkin cheesecake(either muffin or croissant) and it was so delicious, unfortunately it's not all year round. Their bakery items are pretty solid and I would highly recommend trying something!

Yelp
You know, I don't typically enjoy working in public spaces, but this place is definitely it. Let's start with the interior. It's dark, edgy, modern, and industrial, in all of the best ways. When I came in, I couldn't help but admire the interior before I even ordered a drink. They have four floors (including the rooftop), each with slight variations in aesthetic. The first and second floor have QR codes for easy ordering and serving. Different set ups in tables accommodate people with big parties or people studying solo. All of the staff here are extremely friendly, and are happy to engage in conversation. I ordered a maple cinnamon coffee on a whim, since it was one of the specialties. Surprisingly, I didn't find it excessively sweet. I LOVE the postcards here. I've been meaning to send a note to someone for a while, and I finally got the chance to, because of this coffee shop. Anyways, between the music, the vibe, and the food, this place is it.

Yelp
The Coffeehouse at West End has such potential, but I think they're falling short. On the plus side, this is such a surprisingly great space - it is a large building, but it has been very well designed to give a warm and comfortable vibe, despite having three floors. Nice lighting, good music, and plenty of seating. The coffee is really good, and the pastries are outstanding (love the ham and cheese croissant!). However, there seems to be either a staffing problem or a management problem. I've rarely been greeted in a way that made me feel welcomed. Sometimes the greeting is almost surly. And the wait time for your coffee is long. Long to the point that you wonder if they've lost or skipped your order. Maybe adding some more staff could help with the speediness, and perhaps even cheer up the person at the register? I think I'll probably hesitate before coming back to Coffeehouse at West End, at least for a while.

Yelp
I found this place off TikTok and had high hopes for it. We went on a Sunday, so it was expected to be busy. A little difficult to get parking, but understandable. Service - The cashier was friendly. However, our order got lost and we waited quite a bit for the drinks. We had to go up and ask the baristas. They seemed a little annoyed and quickly threw our drinks together. Drinks - We got the chai and black cherry mocha (seasonal). It was okay, the mocha was sour, so it was hard to drink. Food - We got the almond croissant and a raspberry lemon curd pastry. Our favorite was the almond croissant, really good with the right amount of sweetness. If you like more tart flavors, go for the raspberry lemon.

Yelp
Good amount of easily-accessible parking, full on a Saturday afternoon! Full Review Below: Found this shop on TikTok, and knew immediately that I needed to make the drive out here! Tons of space and seating, with 3 indoor floors, and a rooftop. Definitely gets busy (I came here a Saturday afternoon and there weren't a ton of open spots to choose from) so maybe getting here early would be good if you plan to come during peak hours. I ordered an iced vanilla latte with oat milk, which was pretty good! Nothing groundbreaking, but fairly solid. I did also try a chocolate croissant, which was amazing! Highly recommend trying out the pastries here if you have the chance. Wifi connectivity is really good, especially with so many people working in this space. One thing I really liked is that it seems each floor as you go up gets a little bit quieter- definitely a great place to study or get some work done. Overall a positive experience here! Recommend giving it a try if you're looking for a productive shop.

Yelp
Very welcoming environment, with nice staff. The coffee here is really good but I wouldn't say the best, but the main appeal of this coffee house is the building. With 3 stories and rooftop the ambiance is beautiful and very well put together as well as the vibe other people bring to the place.

Yelp
If you're not working during the day remotely, this BEAUTIFUL coffee shop probably wouldn't be the best option for you since it closes at 6 pm and 5:30 pm on Thursdays. Despite the hours, this Coffee House has plentyyyy of areas so study/work comfortably. Even when it's packed, you'll find a spot. I'm not sure if the third floor is known to be the quiet floor but it usually gets super quiet in there. Unless a group has rented part of it out (I'm assuming). The rooftop would be a beautiful place to have 1:1 convos or meetup with friends if it wasn't super HOT. I love that they have QR codes where you can order drinks and they bring to your table. Buttt the drinks... we'll, I had the butterscotch one and it wasn't good at all. Bitter. Tasted like chemicals. Still, I'll come back again to try other flavors next time! Oh also, parking is confusing because it says that the lot it's attached to is for church parking ONLY and the sign that says parking for the coffee house is a gated lot that's not ever open? Confusing.

Yelp
My first time to visit and what a great place to meetup. Beautiful ambiance and energy

Yelp
The location has plenty of parking, which invites plenty of coffee lovers, which leads to there being no seating on weekends. Aside from that, the ambience was peaceful (I can see why people opt to work and study here) and the west end latte was tasty (like a vanilla version of the samoa Girl Scout cookie) and came out quickly. The bakery case was tempting too.

Yelp
This cafe is huge! I didn't expect for them to take up an entire building, but I love that there is so much seating. I don't think there are many outlets so this might not be a good spot to study for a long time (I could be wrong on this), but I'd definitely come for a friend date or just to grab a cup of coffee. The coffee itself is nothing special. I ordered a generic vanilla latte, and it tasted...very generic. I don't believe they use their own syrup, so that explains why it doesn't taste like anything special. Standard pricing without the unique taste also brought down my rating for this cafe.

Yelp
This place is absolutely dreamy (except for the third floor). I cannot express enough how aesthetically pleasing this coffee shop is (the ladies room, the first look, the water dispenser, the furniture, the second floor balcony, the rooftop) and I cannot express enough how incredibly disappointing, hot, and unwelcoming the third floor is. We ordered a lavender latte, vanilla latte, hot chocolate, & butter croissant- all were delicious. The staff that helped us were friendly and our order was expedited quickly.

Yelp
I got the spring special it was the lavender white mocha matcha- this was light and warm on a chilly day. We got the cinnamon roll and it tasted more on the sweeter end. This is a great place to do work or have a date. Service was quick and nice.

Yelp
This is dope! Absolutely what you imagine a good coffee spot would be. It has 3 floors. First floor is where you order drinks and food with some chairs to conversation, It's more lively. Middle floor is more of a work place and quiet zone. Top floor outdoors. The dark roast coffee was so so and pastries seem store bought but huge ups for the vibe and layout. Will visit again.

Yelp
I came here yesterday for the first time to do some work and I was not disappointed! There are so many seats and there are multiple levels. I got a butter croissant which was DELICIOUS and the Cherry Limeade special drink. I will say it is pretty chilly in there so bring a jacket, also there weren't a lot of outlets so make sure to come w your laptop fully charged. Other than that, I enjoyed this cute coffee house and I'll be back again for sure!
