I was lucky to get tickets a few weeks before the show. Considering prices these days, it was one of the best deals I’ve experienced in a year. We sat at the stage level, and the comedians performed for three hours nonstop. Great value for our money! The staff was friendly and welcoming. I can’t imagine a better tourist attraction than a night here in Hollywood!

Google
Classic place to see live stand up comedy in LA. I don't like that they make you lock up your phone before the show now, but I understand. There's no candle or any light to be able to see the menu or the fine writing on it regarding tips. It would get full stars if it did.

Jeffrey Tobin

Google
It was a really great experience! Staff was friendly...had multiple drinks but never a fan of policies that enforce minimum drink purchases (though they don't have to be alcoholic drinks). Had great seats getting there a bit before the shows started. Best of all Bill Burr came out randomly on a Friday night.

Google
Always a great time, and be sure to hit up the patio area here and there while the shows are running. The big name comedians occasionally step outside for a breath of fresh air near the back patio. I just met Patton Oswalt that way yesterday. 😏

George Olivier

Google
It was quite an experience @ this legendary establishment where the biggest names in comedy got their start. The staff locks everyone's phones in a case which is a good idea imo, forcing everyone to be present in the moment. We got a chance to see some of the most popular comedians (who were hilarious) and some other ones just starting out (w/ mixed results). Dana unfortunately got tickets in the very first row (which everyone should know not to do 😒) which led to me being roasted by Amir K. for almost his entire set. He was hilarious though and my face hurt until the next day from laughing so much and so hard.

Experienced the original room and the main room. The original room was awesome. Very intimate. The main room was dope. We were graced with Paulie’s presence on the 46th(?) anniversary of them opening the room. Get there early 4-7 is happy hour and if you’re in the bar area you get seated first 😎

Rob Davis

Google
Very disappointed. Traveled all the way from the midwest to see Jim Jeffries and he didn't show up as advertised. We paid premium seating, front row. Second time this has happened as we have attended in the past where our comedian didn't show. Again, we paid premium seating. Will not be returning. The show started 52 minutes late as well. Just an all around not so good experience....again.

Google
Prices are reasonable, and drinks were ok. I recommend beer as it's a two drink minimum. You can order water and coke if you don't drink alcohol. The jokes were not funny. Not the best show. I guess it depends on who is playing.

Yelp
Don't pay extra for the early entry seating ticket for the belly room, it was the same exact thing as general admission. Came here on a Saturday Night for the 9:30 upstairs Belly Room. Parking is pricey, tight and packed which is all expected. Just arrive early. The staff are all very friendly & will let you know when it's time to head into the room & for what show. It was pretty chilly last night but the outdoor patio has heat lamps & a cool bartender to serve up drinks. Every comedy club seating is very tight & not enough cushion to be comfortable and it's no exception here so just a heads up. We went in a bit high so we ordered a 2nd dinner of pepperoni pizza (about 10"? slightly larger than a personal pizza), pretzel & cookies. The alcoholic drinks were very strong so I ended up not touching them and someone sitting next to us got 2 bottled waters which counts towards your 2 drinks. Smart man. Food was pretty good & the cookies don't look great but trust me tastes pretty damn good. There is a bathroom inside the belly room & my husband said was very tight. They have mirrors all around to make the space look larger but it just ended up confusing him LOL. The comedians were good & the 2 hours really flew by. Steve Furey was hosting and did an amazing job. This was our first time seeing him and we loved his quick humor. Lineup included Anthony Amorello, Katherine Blanford, Jason Cheny, Dave Waite, Irene Tu & Adam Conover (Adam didn't make it to the show last night :( bummer but we get it)

Yelp
Loved the experience of watching a comedy show at such an iconic venue. We bought tickets (VIP bench seating with a table for two) online after looking at the line up and saw Marc Maron was performing. During Dean Delray's performance, I looked to my left and saw Marc Maron chillin' next to us. I no longer heard anything else Dean Delray was saying as my mind was freaking the fuck out. And no, I said nothing to him because I was trying not to be that person. Needless to say, it was the highlight of my night. Other things to know... - No photos. No video. No heckling. - Two drink minimum for each person. It doesn't have to be alcohol tho, but... *evil smirk*. Wait staff will come around to take drink and food orders. - In the main room, the women's restroom is at the back. Four very narrow stalls and it was clean, but I went before the show even started. - It was a three-hour show of different comedians performing which made me so grateful for comfortable seats! - You can grab drinks at their outdoor patio, prior to the show. During the show, I would see Marc Maron wander out to the patio a few times. - There are designated smoking areas in case you need a quick fix. THE DRINKS. - Moscow Mule | Nothing fancy; Grey Goose vodka, lime juice, and ginger beer. - Peachy Dream | Cazadores Repo, peach schnapps, pineapple, and gingerale. Sweet peach flavors and a little gingery spice. Highly recommend. THE PARKING. Parked a few blocks down in a tiny parking structure where Sixt car rental is located (8305 W. Sunset Blvd.). We parked there for a little over five hours and paid $31. There is parking next to the Comedy Store (managed by Laz Parking) that charges $25 for the first 3 hours, then charges more depending on how much longer you stay (see my photo of the parking rates). COMING BACK? Absolutely... one day when I'm back in the area.

Yelp
I was lucky enough to come on a random night with a great lineup. For the price, it was priceless... Good vibes y'all!!

Virginia A.

Yelp
Saturday night late night comedy! The late night headliners were okay. Only one stood from the crowd. Certain subjects could of been avoided for the sake of keeping the audience engaged a bit more! Our server was attentive and fast. We had our usual 2 drink minimum and a pizza! It's always a good time here just that this Saturday lacked a bit.

Sofia P.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, coming here feels like one of the most "LA" things to do. But it seems like this place has gone slightly downhill since my last visit. Acts and prices used to be better and the service was alright. Wish they had a bigger menu. Still had a good time overall.

Sarah Y.

Yelp
My first experience at the Comedy Store, all I have to say is go extremely early. Show was supposed to start at 930 and I think it started at 11 due to people still standing outside in line. I was there for Marcello Hernandez and he is a huge comic right now so I get it but omg it was so unorganized. Don't expect to get your drinks for 45 mins to a hour. One server had a section of 100 people .. how do I know that ? I asked her. She would take 20 orders at a time and disappear to go and run them. I had to order my 2 drink minimum right away. So just be prepared.

Michael B.

Yelp
Had a really nice experience here. Saw two shows on a Sunday night. First one was at 7pm and lasted only a hour. Second one was at 10pm and went until 1am. The second show featured 40 comics doing 2 minute bits. We started more like 1045pm and that was in the belly room which is in the back of the club and up the stairs. Both rooms were packed. Th belly room could fit maybe 50 people. The main room could fit what feels like 150 people. The tables and chairs are pretty small in order to fit more people in. You'll have anywhere from 2 to 4 people at each table which means you'll have to make friends. The tables we sat at were super wobbly. There's a two drink minimum and they average around 18 bucks per cocktail and 12 bucks for bottle / can beer. There's also a small food menu. The people next to us had pizza and it didn't look that good. The rooms are pretty cool. It gets dark and there's no photography or video allowed. There's only a few bathrooms depending on what room you're in and the restrooms are tiny so either go during the show or wait til before / after and expect a long wait. The staff at the front of house were nice. Gave good energy. Same with the bartender. The staff at the entrance of each room sucked. They were trying to be funny but it just came off as rude. There is virtually no parking unless you balling and wanna drop a lot for a spot in Hollywood. If not your best bet is to take a cab.

Yelp
One of the most iconic comedy clubs in the country. A lot of big names have started and have come out of this club. One of the few clubs that offers comedy 7 days a week with multiple shows each night. There is a food and drink menu and there is a two drink minimum purchase. A pretty basic food menu with your standard options. I would plan on getting dinner before your show. The show that we saw had 20 plus comedians and they all had about two minutes each for their act. Majority of the comedians were ok and seemed like they were just starting out. The show just seemed to drag on for to long. They also didn't have a lot of wait staff. This is still one of the best spot to see comedy though and highly recommend going if you are in LA.

Kabir S.

Yelp
Outstanding performances, wonderful menu, I've been coming to this place for 20 years and I love everything about it except two things... probably the worst chairs in the world to sit down for a two and a half hour comedy performance. These chairs have no padding and are so short they completely fuck up your back and neck. #2 a slightly bigger food menu variety would be appreciated. Food we got was delicious but not suitable for all people. Ended up having to go to Saddle Ranch afterwards to get a proper meal. We're in our 40s. We just wanted to go the fuck home. The comedy itself was extraordinary

Audra B.

Yelp
Iconic spot, friendly people. Yes there is a two drink minimum. Yes seats are first come first serve. I don't know why people are giving bad reviews for this fact when it's stated up front? The waitress offered to make our drink a double to satisfy the two drink minimum but I chose not to. My only complaint with the space is there doesn't seem to be enough wait staff. I wish our gal came back more often, but it seems like they have a routine where they make their rounds in order of the tables and don't just come check on you. food options are fairly nonexistent and the pizza was hard as a rock. the pretzels looked good though.

Casey H.

Yelp
I love this place such a great environment and history. These past few years its gone downhill prices went up and line ups gone down. Obviously a lot of talent went to Austin but if Adam Eget was here the lineups would be better. I'm sure the talent booker coordinator is a nice person and fair but Comedy is about being funny. Why arent Chris Delia, Bryan Callen and other funny people being booked taking sides in comedy over rumors without a chance to redemption is lame

Sara B.

Yelp
This was the best time. We came for the Friday show at 10 PM and the lineup was stacked - Ali Wong and Leslie Jones stopped in for surprise performances which was unreal. Marc Maron and the other comedians who were slated to perform were also hilarious. Tickets are $30 and then there's a two drink min. Pretty standard for a comedy club. The house well drinks aren't great (also pretty standard for a comedy club) so I suggest sticking to wine or beer. Crowd control was also pretty rough. We waited on a super long line to get in, and it seems like there was a lot of confusion around checking people in and finding their tickets and seats. This felt surprising because they are a pretty established comedy club! Overall this is an awesome place to catch a stand up show, and it's absolutely worth the visit. You never know who you'll see!

Crystal G.

Yelp
Here's the thing that I've learned in life so far. There are some things that are really important .........laughter is everything ! Get in your car and drive in the rain to laugh your butt off! My friend came into town from Missouri to get away from the snow just to be stuck in the rain. I can't let it go down like that. You want to go to the comedy store im going to take you to the comedy store ! Laughing so hard that your stomach muscles hurt. Now that's was fun . Way better than sitting at home looking at the rain ! Open every day 7 to 2 in the morning. I was walking out the door in the corner of my eye I saw my favorite Actor from mean girls Daniel Franzese . I was like oh we're taking a picture together he said yeah let's do it! So sweet . Doing his stand-up comedy tour Yess, you're amazing ! Five stars DanielFranzese #5StarComedyStore #WeLovePollyShore

Zach M.

Yelp
A lot of good comedians both recognizable and upcoming, but Daniel Moquin definitely stood out. Funny dude!

Brooke M.

Yelp
I had an amazing time at the Funny Girls show. Great line up with Jenn Sterger headlining. All the ladies were hilarious and what a great intimate room for some laughs. I enjoyed supporting these women comics! Two drink minimum and it can be two Diet Cokes which came to $10. There is a $5 parking lot just past Katana that I will use next time instead of spending $20 so keep a look out for it so you can have great entertainment for a small amount on the Sunset strip!

Roland G.

Yelp
One would expect funny comedians to be booked on New Year's Eve at one of the top comedy clubs in LA. However The Comedy store failed to book one single decent comedian in the MAIN Room the whole night. One unfunny comedian after the next took the stage & 'bombed' miserably. What a waste of New Year's Eve!

Troy H.

Yelp
Want a laugh? Want a laugh? This is the spot to turn your tears to a smile as the comics get a smile and a laugh from you. We went to see Taylor Williamson and the show did not disappoint. He was rolling strong with the jokes and was on point. We also had another bonus which was Nico Santos. Yes, he was in Guardians of the Galaxy and Crazy Rich Asians but his stand up was funny and had us laughing. He was down to earth and my better half was able to grab a pic with him. Great show, and great times. The staff was awesome as DD was helpful and friendly. Parking is in their lot next door.

Julie P.

Yelp
This is an iconic location for comedy and the value is amazing for the price. Arrive early for the best seating. Everyone is carded at the front where your bag will be checked and pockets emptied. The staff was friendly and helpful, maybe more than other comedy clubs I have been to. There was a big lineup of comedians the night I went and all shows were sold out ahead of the date. The comedy was top notch and the crowd was excellent. Loved the people who did crowd work. There is a two drink minimum with a somewhat limited menu of options but the drinks were good and our driver ordered Diet Coke which counted toward the two drink minimum. very limited food selection with pizza, pretzel and cookies type options. The club is very clean and has a nice vibe. Highly recommend.

Sean C.

Yelp
This place sucks I just spent $80 to drink watered down tequila and be told I can't sneak from room to room anymore, dare I say " I miss Joe Rogan " please come back

Roselia G.

Yelp
I always talk about this comedy club and what an amazingly hilarious time it always is. It was over a decade ago, but I remember my first time as if it was yesterday. I got to see so many iconic comedians. It was one of those Friday evenings without a real lineup, and just comic after comic for 20 minutes each. We stayed there 'til almost closing, but the time flew! That night I got to see Dane Cook, Marc Maron, Chris D'lia, Bobby Lee, Whitney Cummings, and a dozen others. Whitney became my favorite after that experience. She's the only comedian I follow, and while she went through a strange time for a couple years starting in 2020, she's back baby! And with an actual baby this time...HA HA! Yeah she's pregnant now. I was able to get tickets for this weekends sold out special taping here at the Comedy Store, and she killed it! Now just one thing to keep in mind while visiting this club, or any comedy led event...um...don't be annoying. There's 3 other adjectives I wanna use, but I'm gonna refrain from that kind of language just for this review. LOL! But seriously...all comedians have one job, and that's to make you laugh, by making fun of evvvvverything. So if you can't take it, and you get offended easily, a comedy club is just not for you. But if you're a mature, to semi-mature adult who can take a joke, even if it's about you, then this is the place to be!

Cristiana

Yelp
i decided to go by myself because my friends couldn't go, but it ended up being the most amazing night! if you're the anxious type, i say just go! the people who work here are extremely helpful and kind. i would have regret not going. make sure you know where you're parking before coming here because it is tricky, but that's just LA!

Trevor B.

Yelp
I finally was able to make it to one of the meccas of the comedy world and was not disappointed! It was a fantastic show with Russell Peters, Whitney Cummings, Iliza Shlesinger, Josh Wolf, Kyle Dunnigan, Ryan Sickler, and Gareth Reynolds. It was amazing to see these people working on some new material, but still make it extremely funny. Some did random bits while others did crowd work, but nothing was off the table. This show took place in the Main Room and was a great venue. The tickets were reasonable. It was $30 for the ticket, plus a fee of $2.50. In addition to your ticket, it is a two drink minimum and drinks are on the pricey end, with the lowest being $10 for a can of Miller Lite. If you don't drink alcohol, you can ask for water or soda, but will still be charged. They have food on the menu, but the night I went they said they didn't have any.

Bob K.

Yelp
They've added a strict no heckling policy. Seems weird since several of the comedians spend a lot of their act making fun of the audience. Can dish it out but can't take it. Hard to imagine George Carlin or Richard Pryor having to be protected from hecklers.

Greg C.

Yelp
Shapel Lacey's set at The Comedy Store was just awkward. He came off insecure and even kicked people out for laughing at his jokes. If a comedian can't handle the room, maybe comedy isn't for him.

Darren V.

Yelp
I've been here quite a bit over the years, and always loved it. The prices are reasonable. The drinks are good. I feel the place is clean, and parking is never an issue. Service is quick to getting orders filled. Always love the place.

Fran D.

Yelp
They had two stars the rest were ok almost put me to sleep, however I will be back to see David spade

Rose B.

Yelp
This place is famous for a reason! Great time, awesome show. I wanted to take a star off because the service was terrible, but you come for the comedy not the service.

Lilian S.

Yelp
MISLEADING ADVERTISING: group of 6 purchased New Year's Eve tickets to see Dan Levy and Whitney Cummings with other comedians at the Comedy Store on NYE. We drove from out of county and arranged for post-show transportation and an overnight stay in the area JUST to see the show. To our surprise, no Whitney Cummings and Dan Levy was not THE Dan Levy- it was a random man who also happened to be named Dan Levy. This is an absolute absurd stunt for a big name like the Comedy Store. DO NOT spend your money.

Kia A.

Yelp
Enjoyed 2 hours of various comics. Expect to pay $30-$40 to meet their two drink minimum, and ask for tap water specifically unless you want to be charged the "commemorative water bottle" which is like a Prime quality bottle.

Stephanie T.

Yelp
The acts here were great! They have you laughing for sure. It's a small place, so you'll be sitting on top of one another. They have a limited food option, so don't come hungry. But that's for the best due to the small tables and limited spacing.

Tanya W.

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoyed my first experience watching Martin Amini and friends at The Comedy Store in the main room. The special guest, Leslie Jones, was absolutely legendary and I am so thankful to have been able to see her perform as the special guest of the night. I wasn't sure what to expect from my first comedy show, but I was laughing all night and the transition between each comedian was seamless. The comedians were hilarious and the crowd energy was super fun. I highly recommend lining up early if you want good seats because you will be seated based on the order of arrival. I got in line roughly 45 minutes before the start time, and we were seated roughly in the fourth row in front of the stage for reference. The Comedy Store does have a two drink minimum policy per person. Non-alcoholic drinks are included but they're not found on the menu, just ask your server. They did not serve food in the main room for their 10:30pm show, not sure if this is the case in the other rooms. Parking was really hard to come by despite it being a Tuesday night at 9:30pm. There are several lots and structures for parking, but many of them were full. Expect to park and walk if you arrive closer to the start time. Overall I really liked how fun and professional this venue was. I look forward to attending more events here in the future!

Aaron S.

Yelp
Super fun night of comedy. Saw "headliners of the OR" on a Saturday. The show was top notch and worth every penny. However the 7 o'clock show was closer to 90 minutes than 2 hours and other shows were closer to 3 hours. If I were to come again I would definitely not purchase an early show ticket because it was the same price as other shows but half the length with less bigger names. Lots of comedians were there watching the show but weren't interested in doing an extra set to make the show longer which is a bit of a bummer. I hope to come back in the future but I wo t be buying tickets until I know who's performing.

Joe Y.

Yelp
They serve hot food yet refuse to provide complementary water and make you pay $10 for one bottle of water. I asked the manager about this and he said that it's because tap water in LA "makes people sick". Not sure which country this dude is from but it's definitely not the USA or the city of Los Angeles. California state law requires all establishments serving hot food to provide complementary tap water when asked. If you attend a show and get this type of service I highly suggest submitting a report online to the Los Angeles department of health.

Roxy C.

Yelp
Great experience! Gorgeous venue and the staff is all super sweet. Drinks are a tad pricey but it's LA so it's okay.

Mandy F.

Yelp
I have developed fond memories of this place because of the comics, and yearly tradition we've made to go and spend my husbands bday around LA (we plan to go to more!) I follow @thecomedystore on Instagram so i keep up with the lineup, but both fortunately and unfortunately it's bound to change just because of availability. It is great to purchase online, and you'll see they have different lineups for the different rooms. We have been in the "u" around the stage and outside, and they are both great seats where you can see the comics people perform. Sometimes you can upgrade to the U as long as there is availability. There is a 2 drink minimum, and it does not have to be alcohol, but the prices are expected in a downtown city not to mention Hollywood area. They do not offer food unfortunately, which would be nice. It's nice to see how chill the comedy store is. The famous comics about to perform may be hanging out in the audience or by the bathrooms like it's no big deal, while I'm fan girling like crazy! Nice places to take photos by the comics' names and photos. However, no phones or cameras during the shows! My fav will always be Bobby Lee, who always gives a great show!

C G.

Yelp
I am giving 3 stars because we were lucky enough to see Tom Dreesen on the bill. Tom is a class act! The other comics on the bill all seemed to blend together. I couldn't tell one from the other and some looked like they rolled out of bed. The bum look is just embarrassing. As mentioned above Tom Dreesen showed everyone how stand up SHOULD BE even in 2024. Food was ridiculous....$22 for some tiny frozen pizza suitable only as survival food. Service was pleasant enough from the door guy to the waitress. Piano player was far too loud...you couldn't carry on a conversation. The Comedy Store has an amazing history but stand-up has changed almost beyond recognition today with it's carefully chosen topics and woke politically correct nonsense! Far too many mediocre talent is being promoted there.

Lisa W.

Yelp
We always have a good time when we're in town and spend an evening or two at the Comedy Store! Comedians are usually solid+. It does seem like regular admission seats are jammed in, so we usually just get a booth and it's much more relaxing that way!

Brendan B.

Yelp
Legendary venue. Went here on a Saturday in July for a secret headliner show. We got pretty excited when the opener announced it was going to be Martin Lawrence. Unfortunately the show was not funny at all. Martin joked that a tabloid said he had a stoke. The punchline was that it did actually seem to either be true or he was completely high off his ass on stage. The jokes had no punchlines, zero original storytellers. He did a covid joke about masks and smelly breath that went complete flat. Dick jokes and other ramblings about his new movie. Crowd seemed to cheer and laugh only for his cache of celebrity more than material. Terrible show.

Alexander C.

Yelp
Had a blast at the comedy store. Parking turned out perfect even during a late night show. Scored some great seats stage left. Luckily the other couple swapped us spots so that dude and myself can be behind our ladies. (Do that more often, honest suggestion.) Anyways, the comedians rocked Adam Day was my favorite, my girlfriend's was Steph. Everyone else was great!. We got a suggestion from our awesome server Dayna about the pretzels since we were starving. I got beers she got pretty good margarits as well. Some Karen was being mean to our server distracting her, but she seemed stupid af, even her man reflected that. Overall 9/10 experience total blast. Give Dayna a raise.

Lois B.

Yelp
The drinks were mandatory and so expensive my family felt robbed after also paying for tickets. Half the talent was good, the other half was very amateurish. We will not be going there again,It's definitely not worth the money!

Wil J.

Yelp
First off the staff was amazing from the start. The comedians were funny and relatable. The drinks were a bit weak and the pizza....

Kiki H.

Yelp
Always love the comedy store! This time tried the late night show. Excellent comedians and the service was great as usual! However they started like an hour late so the show went way past the time it was supposed to end. You could tell the comedians were starting to loose the room and people were leaving. We also didn't stay until the end, it was just too late and the last comedians were putting us to sleep.

Von K.

Yelp
The staff at The Comedy Store were great, all of them I interacted with were super friendly and funny, and all comedians themselves according to the guy who explained house rules before we were seated. The funniest part was how easily I was convinced to upgrade to the booth seat for $40 cash (which I didn't have on me) The ATM was outside down the street a bit, got to enjoy some Hollywood wildlife while withdrawing my cash, like this older gentleman dressed in his Sunday best, (hat w/ feather included) who strolled by chatting up the line of people waiting to get in; he invited all to take communion with him by offering his doobie. Seemed nice. Drinks at the bar before the show weren't part of the 2 item minimum, which was explained, totally got drinks while waiting anyway. Boot seat was the way to go. Didn't get food, drinks were good (strong) I can't remember all the names I saw that night, but everybody was great minus one whom I didn't really like their humor style. Arsenio still got it, Ali Wong as the surprise guest was fantastic, and the Roast Master Jeff Ross gave a performance that was unlike anything I have seen from him, this was right at the beginning of the Israel/Hamas conflict; it was both equally hilarious & touching. Bobby Lee was just touching. MC for the night deserves a shout out as well as the Piano Boy, can't remember names, so does our server. A veteran of the waiting game, she floated across the room at a 90° angle, swiftly clearing empties and delivering the "okay one more" rounds. I didn't get the water I ordered for last last round though, but I took a Lyft so not a huge deal. The negatives only being the no water, the ATM outside, and it was my first time so I didn't know there were 3 rooms, and wasn't informed, (but that's where the outside bar was and my actual line didn't have that perk, the upgrade to the booth made it not matter anyway.) Great show, great venue, great team of people working there.

Ali M.

Yelp
Great time with lots of laughs! Went with a group and everyone had fun. The drinks are ok and the seating is tight. Close seating is to be expected in a comedy club, but during Covid with everyone with masks off... well, pretty sure we inadvertently attended an unsafe event. Sad about that because we have been SO SAFE and their advertised safety measures were not reenforced. Even one of the comedians commented on it. :( Overall, fun... but maybe wait until they reenforce Covid protocols. Should be coming soon as I am sure most of their staff has been exposed. Just sad. :(

Yelp
This place can really be The Bomb if you luck into a good lineup of comedians!  If you are looking for something to do on a Friday or Saturday night, a visit to The Comedy Store may not be a guaranteed night of fun, but it beats the heck out of seeing some useless, recycled drivel of a 3D movie at the local Googleplex, which will be available for streaming or DVD viewing in a few weeks anyway :-)  Given a good lineup of comedians, if you follow these rules you're sure to have a great time!  1.  Don't sit at one of the tables directly in front of the stage if you're going to get all bent out of shape when the comics pick on you.  That's their job! 2.  Don't heckle - it's distracting for everyone.  You aren't contributing to the show like you seem to think you are. 3.  Be courteous, and don't talk to your group about anything, not even about the jokes.  Doing that just attracts attention to your and distracts the comic as well as others around you. 4.  If the comic notices you, and starts one of those "What's your name, and boy are you in trouble now" dialogs, remember: you're a billionaire ex-Ivy League entrepreneur, your name is Mark Zuckerberg, and you're in the process of moving to Antarctica... Food & Drink:  A two-drink per person minimum applies. Any beverage (with or without alcohol)  counts as one item; as of this writing the kitchen is currently closed.  Service:  The servers are generally pretty friendly.  Unlike other comedy clubs I've been to, they are pretty good about leaving you tab open until the end of the evening. Last Saturday night, a dear friend of mine hosted the tail end of her birthday celebration at The Comedy Store's final show of the evening.  While the spirit was more then willing, the flesh was weak - I only got 4 hours sleep the preceding Friday night, and was dubious about my ability to stay awake through the end of the show.   One of my best Yelp buddies told me just what I should do: "if you wanna stay awake for the show, you should drink nothing but Irish coffee there ;-) I ended up having a great time at The Comedy Store, and I wouldn't be surprised if you do too!

Yelp
Terrible experience. I paid $$$ for 2 tickets for Adam Ray, Dr Phil show just to be seated in the back, on the side of the wall where my husband and I were just staring at a wall and couldn't see anyone on stage. I rather have skipped the live show and just watch it on YouTube to have a better experience. Especially with the overpriced drinks.

Yelp
I went to the Main Room for the 'Best Of' 8pm show on a Wednesday night and it was great! There were a variety of comics that I can't even remember all of their names but the show wrapped up at 11:30 there were so many. There is a 2 item minimum, but there was a pretty good selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options! I got the persecco and it came in one of the mini-bottles so it was more like a glass and a half which isn't bad for $17.

Yelp
First time here this weekend in The Main Room & was not impressed. Maybe we had a bad lineup, but out of the 7-8 comedians, only a couple were funny. And even the funny ones got maybe a chuckle out of me, not serious laughter. Maybe that's normal for The Comedy Store, but as a first-timer, I was pretty bummed. I'm not a terribly sensitive person, but some of the acts were just straight up offensive. Not even like offensive jokes that could still be found kind of funny, just crude and offensive for crude and offensive sake. The building itself was pretty cool and relatively clean. It was VERY crowded inside and everyone had their masks off, even without actively drinking. Although everyone was vaccinated, this still made me feel a little unsafe. One of the comedians even joked that some of the people in the room definitely had COVID and were actively spreading it. Not COVID-safe at all. If this is a serious concern of yours, please avoid The Comedy Store. Service was incredibly slow. I understand that the servers are running around trying to get everyone their drinks in a packed room, but I waited a couple acts from when I ordered until when I actually got my beer. They also messed up billing, and ended up charing one party for our group, when we had asked to have separate bills. They stated that there was a two drink minimum, but it didn't seem to be enforced. I'm willing to give The Comedy Store another chance with a different lineup, but honestly, I think it would be a similar experience.

Yelp
A bearded employee at the store was incredibly rude during my food delivery. After struggling to find parking, I briefly parked by the driveway for under 30 seconds to ensure the food was warm. The customer had instructed me to leave the order on the patio, so I did. However, this man questioned if the food was "for some homeless guy" and then moved it himself, saying he'd "do my job for me," which felt condescending. Although he reminded me not to block the driveway--which I understand--I was quick and inconvenienced no one. His attitude and poor mood are hardly fitting for a place that's supposed to bring people joy.
