I will only be giving 1 stars and that is for Michele only. She was the nicest leasing manger who was always very helpful. I do want to give 0 star but won’t on her behalf because there was always something wrong with our apartment that “no one lived in” but actually did. Our AC was the main problem. Our rent kept going up month by month. When we got the solar panels that was a bigger problem with over charging. As well the SDGE we were overcharged for 4 months. It was honestly so stressful living here. The only helpful person was Michele she always stayed on top of every complaint we had. She was very sweet, welcoming, and always went out her way to help tenants. She is the saving grace. California Civil Code §1950.5. Your landlord must offer you an inspection at least two weeks before your move-out date so you can fix any issues to avoid deductions from your deposit. They must return your deposit (or the remaining balance after deductions) within 21 days of you moving out. • Required documentation: If they deduct anything, they must provide: • An itemized statement of all deductions. • Copies of receipts or invoices for the work done. Under California Civil Code § 1950.5(b)(2), landlords are prohibited from using a tenant’s security deposit to repair ordinary or normal wear and tear—that is, deterioration from everyday use. And we’re supposed to be charged for paint and cleaning?. now they’re not trying to give us back our security deposit which was the full months rent. We haven’t received an itemized bill which I have looked up for the state of California. I’m starting to get upset because I am calling and leaving voicemails and no one will call me back. We haven’t heard anything back and I don’t want to take this to the next step

"Due to military orders, we needed to find a suitable apartment close to base that was affordable and safe. After searching online, we narrowed down our options to about 10 apartments that met our criteria and scheduled in-person showings during our house hunting leave. The Commodore Apartments caught our attention with their appealing website photos and detailed descriptions of what to expect for our money. During our appointment, we were warmly welcomed by Michelle, who truly made our experience exceptional. Her personality and attention to detail left a lasting impression, and we were immediately impressed with the beautiful property. Michelle also took the time to inform us about the RPP program offered by the military, which we hadn't known about previously. At that moment, we knew we had found the perfect place, despite having multiple showings scheduled for the weekend. We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to Michelle for her professionalism, kindness, and outstanding personality. Thank you for making our apartment search a success!" See you soon!!!

Michele is by far the best leasing manager I have ever met!!! She is very helpful, caring, understanding & takes your concerns into consideration. The location is perfect and close to swamp meet, food spots, gyms, freeways and grocery stores! The two problems I have is that there are never dog bags in the dog dispensers & the trash areas. I don't know if it's the homeless or if it's the people who live here that are just messy and inconsiderate.

I moved into the commodore about a month ago now from North Park. I thought I was sad to leave north park until I actually got to move into this beautiful complex. The pool/grill area is beautiful and always well kept. Parking is never an issue. A massive selling point for me was how responsive the leasing office was initially. They’re always welcoming, super friendly and extremely helpful. The property as a whole is very quiet with nothing but friendly neighbors. The worth of The Commodore greatly exceeds the amount they charge for rent so I suggest you move in before they figure it out and adjust to “San Diego” prices lol! I love living at the commodore. In my San Diego Renters experience, the commodore has made it easy, affordable, and stress free. 10/10 recommend to you and all of your friends.

Best Move-In experience ever!!!! I’ve moved over 6 times being in the military and coming from overseas, the experience can be quite stressful. Michele was the best! She gave me a FaceTime Virtual Tour, explained everything perfectly. So pleasant, and took care of all my needs like a closer parking and corner unit I wanted. As soon as I landed everything was taken care of and was less than 5 minutes to get the keys and set up the WiFi that’s included. Also they love dogs here. Great neighborhood too, nice and private. Seriously, if you need a place fast & want a stress free experience, apply online!!!

The Manager Brittany is very friendly and responsive, always ensuring any concerns are addressed promptly. The apartments themselves are spacious and modern, providing a comfortable living environment. Overall, I highly recommend the Commodore Apartments to anyone looking for upscale living in a vibrant community.

It is a new and safe apartment for my military son to live in. The ceiling is high so it doesn't feel stuffy. It is clean and the inside of the apartment is fully equipped with everything you need. The office staff is friendly. I especially appreciate Michelle. She is a professional.

I've lived in this apartment for 5 months, and while it has its positives, the constant noise from upstairs neighbors has significantly impacted my quality of life. *Pros* 1. Friendly staff 2. New construction *Cons* 1. *Noise Pollution*: Thin walls offer little soundproofing, making every step, conversation and movement from neighbors audible. 2. *Restrictive Lease*: 15-month contract with hefty penalty for early termination: double rent. 3. Not worth for the rent *Important Considerations* 1. *Noise sensitivity*: If you're a light sleeper or value quiet time, this may not be ideal. 2. *Lease commitment*: Carefully weigh the 15-month term before signing. *Recommendation* If noise isn't a concern or you're willing to compromise, this apartment might work. However, sensitive sleepers or those seeking tranquility may want to explore alternatives.

Yelp
Management is Meh. Nice at first but once you're in they don't care. Stationed in San Diego and lived here for 8month Our front door battery died on us once in the middle of the night and one night it didn't wanna accept the key fob one time early morning. Set an appointment with management twice and she wasn't on time both times! Ridiculous but you definitely live and you learn..
