NYC’s New Restaurant Openings - New York - The Infatuation

"This Upper East Side bakery is from the Pi Bakerie people, who also have a Cookie Odyssey kiosk outside Pi's Financial District location. The cookies appear to be thick and soft enough for you to use as a pillow if you have a very small head. They’re $25 for a half-dozen, in flavors like Pecan Pie (self-explanatory) and Banana Cyclops." - will hartman, willa moore, molly fitzpatrick, sonal shah, bryan kim

These cookies are soooo good!!!! I ordered three minis because I needed to try all the flavours (chocolate chip and banana, oats and raisins, and pecan) and my husband ordered one large chocolate chip. As you can see from the photo the large cookies are thick with big pieces of chocolate chunks but super nice and chewy in the middle. Service was so-so. The place is just a little hut, but there are places to sit outside and enjoy your purchase. Would highly recommend.

It's one of the best cookies I've ever eaten. I suggest you get the small ones so you can try more flavours. 5 out of 6 flavours were awesome. The only one that it was just ok was the pecan pie. And it's only just $1.80 each. I highly recommend this place

Google
Definitely my favorites cookies in NYC, never disappointed! I definitely recommend you to try them because you will share my taste 😋 a little crunchy on the outside and soft but not undercooked on the inside… just perfect (Cookie Odyssey>Levain trust me)

Absolutely yum cookies here! Affordable and gooey yummy. I love that they have only a few and the same flavors in the big and small. The texture changes with the size and both are delicious. Definitely try these cookies! They’re located in the little hut outside of the main cafe.

It's a super tiny, lovely place. The cookie was amazing. A lot of chocolate, gooey on the inside. Totally recommend it ❤️🫶🏻

Google
at banana-chocolate cookie! Totally agree with previous reviews. So delicious, like a rich cup of banana pudding, gooey, delicious. Really liked the pecan cookie and the chocolate-chip cookie. The rest (the ginger, yuzu, white-chocolate dark chocolate) were four stars. Coming back for that banana cookie. 5 stars!!!!

Google
I love to bake, so every time I hear about a good chocolate chip cookie, I want to try it. Cookie Odyssey is a small kiosk with a pretty darn good chocolate chunk cookie. The flavor is good and, if you like a cookie that is 75% chocolate... you'll love this. My personal preference is a cookie with a little more cookie, so I found it a little rich but delicious nonetheless.

Google
I’m a cookie connoisseur and try to visit all the main cookie places and this one was awesome! It’s right up there with Funny Face as the best cookie in the city. The banana chocolate chip is unique and outstanding in particular. Get the big cookies because the smaller ones just don’t have the same delicious texture and gooey center.

Yelp
Pretty good! I tried the chocolate cookie and the banana one ( I think called cyclops). I liked the banana one better and thought they were a pretty good size. It's a cute little shop in FiDi! The two people there were very nice.

Yelp
Came here to try the Cyclops cookie after seeing it all over social media. It was pretty good and I really liked the banana and chocolate chip combination. The regular chocolate chip cookie was just ok. A bit too dense and nothing special. Location is a bit out of the way. Prices are similar to Levain's but Levain still reigns supreme in my opinion. Sidenote: Just tried the new lemon cookie from Levain and it is phenomenal! Must try!!

Yelp
Definitely enjoyed the cookies overall. My husband and I wanted to try all six that they had available so we opted for the mini cookies. The ginger cookie was gimmicky. I was expecting a strong ginger punch, but we were barely able to taste the ginger at all. We really enjoyed the pecan pie cookie and the cyclops (banana).

Yelp
Delicious cookies!!! Some of the best I've tried in NYC. I tried the classic chocolate chip & the banana one; I think I preferred the chocolate chip, but the banana one was really special - the bananas at the bottom almost get caramelized, and mixed with the chocolate chips it's kind of like chocolate chip banana bread vibes (but in a cookie). The cookies are dense & soft but also have a little crunch, too; the perfect balance. Mine were served room temp, but I bet they'd be even more incredible if they were warm + gooey! They have minis, which is nice, but I feel like the texture / ratio etc wouldn't be right. Go for the big ones!!:) Definitely stop by if you're looking for a sweet treat in FiDi! Pop into Pi as well (the Greek bakery next door - same management), you won't regret it!!

Yelp
A cute little cookie shop across from a Greek Bakery located in FiDi. After seeing pictures on yelp, I had to stop by. Ordered the Classic Chocolate Chip and Cyclops (banana). Both were good but I preferred the Cyclops with chunks of banana. No seating inside but outdoor seating is available.

Yelp
I have to say this is one of the most amazing cookies I have ever had in my life! I love banana anything and I stopped by one day to try their small cookie. I also tried the chocolate chip. They were soft yet crunchy on the outside. Needless to say in the last week I have been there 3 times. Owner is super sweet and she gave me a hug when I stopped in today. Even though I'm moving to Brooklyn today, I will definitely come back and get these from time to time.

Yelp
Hands down one of the best cookies I've had in a long time! All of them were delicious but I think the ginger chocolate was my favorite and it was the one I least expected to like. If you go, try one of each and split with friends. We will definitely be coming back here for more cookies!!

Yelp
These are becoming some of my wife's favorite cookies in NYC. The cookies are on the thicker side but no where near as thick as Levain. These cookies are super gooey. Crispy cookie lovers, look elsewhere. I believe we shared a banana pudding cookie. Like the creativity and it definitely hit the sweet spot! No inside seating. All cookies are to go and can be eaten in the square that the shop is located in.

Yelp
Tiny hole in the wall with big time quality and taste. We ordered a small banana cookie and it was so good, we went back for the bigger one. Woman assisting us was pleasant.

Yelp
What a delight - tasty, tasty cookies. And, it is really part of this fantastic greek bakery that has so many delicious treats. Try the banana chocolate chip cookie, but really - you cannot go wrong with any of them.

Yelp
the cookies are great! the place is a little difficult to find because there is some construction going on and it is in a building courtyard essentially I got the regular chocolate chip and double (or triple?) chocolate cookies and they were very good! the lady working is very friendly as well
