The Corner Grille

This was my first visit.The staff was friendly and we were seated right away. The waiter (who was a very nice young man) took our order and bought out our drinks. I ordered the shrimp and grits which were unlike any other shrimp and grits I've ever had! It had that Cajun bite to it! Oh it was really good! The service was excellent and the atmosphere was modern, cozy and clean! I will definitely go back,

My daughter and I are SO glad that the restaurant down the road was so rude to us otherwise we wouldn't have been able to experience this incredible establishment. From the minute we walked in, we were warmly welcomed and had nothing but extraordinary service the entire time. I hate that I do not remember our server's name because he was the nicest young man. We both had the "lightly" sweetened tea and it was perfect. For starters, we shared a crab cake. I have had crab cakes in numerous restaurants and numerous states and this was THE BEST. Seasoned and cooked to perfection. It had us fighting for the last bite. Our entrees were the Cajun Seafood Pasta and the Cajun Chicken Sandwich with fries. Take me seriously when I tell you that that pasta was the best thing I have ever eaten in my LIFE! Every bite left me shaking my head in disbelief. My very petite daughter put away the whole chicken sandwich, she couldn't put it down and her fries were simplistically splendid. The immaculate food, impeccable hospitality, and absolute chummy environment will have us driving the 4 hours from home just to eat here again.

7/12/2024 New here. Invited here for lunch. Small, quaint establishment. Server absolutely wonderful and attentive. Food chefs 👩‍🍳 😋 kiss 💋, however, the beignets was hollow on the inside. So it's not like a puff warm pastry. They were still good.

Great customer service! Food came out fast and thank goodness for that since we were hungry! Ordered: Cheese burger, Lamb Shank, Blackened pork chop, Lemon chicken, and beignets. Husband rated 4 for burger, and the rest of us rated 5 on our food. We ordered extra beignets to go! We came on a Fri night around 6pm so there was plenty of room. Glad we stumbled across this place passing by GA.

I haven’t even finished my food yet, but needed to leave a review! The salmon club is delicious!! Cooked to perfection And a good portion size. I got the garlic Parmesan mash as a side and they also 5 stars! I will definitely be visiting again soon.

We visited from the Toronto area and specifically chose to eat at this restaurant as it's listed on multiple websites as one of the best places to eat in Atlanta. They definitely did not disappoint. The young man who served us and took care of our table, was attentive, considerate, kind and efficient. He did a great job! The chef was able to ensure my dietary restrictions were taken care of and the salad was delicious! I would have never thought sweet potatoes in a salad would be so good. The restaurant got fairly busy as we sat there throughout the lunch time but it didn't affect our service. The bathrooms were clean and adequate street parking was available. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!! Bonus is that it's a short drive from the airport. That was our first stop and it was worth it.

The Corner Grille is hidden gem on Mainstreet. The service was exceptional! Our server well explained everything divine on the menu. I had the special of fried rainbow trout with savory grits and delicious cream sauce. My husband had a cheeseburger and garlic mash that he said was amazing. We also had the fried brussel sprouts that came with cream sauce the was very tasty. My favorite was the gumbo, so flavorful! Will definitely be back for more!

This was my first time at this establishment. I thought it had a very nice atmosphere upstairs. Pretty quiet. Nice decor. Bright and sunny on the day we went. Food was great. We reserved the upstairs for a small business lunch with seven people. We were the only people upstairs. No one had complaints about their food. Nice size portions. I had the catfish po-boy with french fries. I would definitely order that again. Another person had chicken with broccoli and rice. The broccoli was huge which was great for the price. Someone else had Cajun shrimp pasta. They really enjoyed it as well. The staff was friendly however, we did have to remind the waitress to bring a few things but nothing drastic. I'd go back again to try something else. I recommend you to try them as well. Almost forgot, the 98 inspection score is ALWAYS a win for me

Our family had the opportunity to be on Family Feud and were staying at a nearby hotel. We passed The Corner Grille on the way to and from the Tyler Perry Studios. Decided to eat here. What a great choice! Right from the beginning, we had especially attentive and friendly service. (Shout out John.) All the food was delicious. We felt really at home. Highly recommended!

The food is very good here. They have great music; however, you can tell they are short-staffed & that this is a family-run business. Service is pretty slow and reservations don't guarantee you'll sit anytime soon. I had a reservation for 8:30 and still had to wait 45-50 mins for people to get up. Many people had already eaten and were just sitting there chatting. I think the owners should implement a 2.5-hour rule when they are busy where they don't allow people to sit and talk while those with reservations wait. Drinks are very strong but not very good.

The menu here is very clean cut, and straight to the point with a good amount of options. The establishment is small, and offers a small amount of bar seating. Very clean inside, with fresh decor. The service was outright amazing from start to finish. Waiting service very attentive, and polite. I really enjoyed my salmon salad. I made the mistake of pouring the vinaigrette on my salmon. It's better you leave that to the greens. It does nothing for the salmon in my opinion. The flavor of the dressing is light, and I enjoyed it. The salmon is lightly seasoned, but seasoned enough for a nice tasty balanced meal. I look forward to trying all the seafood options here. Hoping to receive the great service I received today each time I come moving forward. I highly recommend this place!

Enjoyed an early dinner on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were greeted by the nice hostess and escorted to a table upstairs. Our waiter was really friendly and helpful with the menu. I ordered the Cajun seafood pasta which was delicious. The only problem is the excess oil that was just sitting in the pasta after I ate a few bites. I also tried the beignets which came out warm. They were so good!! Felt like I was in New Orleans. I would definitely come back and try some other items.

4 stars for location. Parking. And time for server to acknowledge us. The shrimp Cobb was amazing. I'm not one for spring mixes but this absolutely worked well together. With their jalapeno ranch. Def has a kick but it's not something you can't manage. And as I've gotten older, I can't handle spice well, anymore. The restaurant itself is very cute, inside. Great spot for lunch/lunch meetings. Healthy options. Price worked well w/ with quantity provided.

This is a hidden gem, expect to wait seating limited and obvious people know the food is good. Tables had fresh flowers for table pieces. Food was wonderful, I ate the Catfish and Shrimp with homemade fries and coleslaw.

Yum! The Corner Grille is à delicious southern restaurant located on Main Street. Plenty of free street parking out front. I stopped by for brunch on a Saturday. Brunch ends at 2. We had the lemon chicken, blackened catfish, and beignets. We were told by the hostess that there is bottomless mimosas. That was not accurate. They also have upstairs dining which was full when we arrived but looked cool from outside.

This place is right off the ATL airport and if looking for a good place to eat lunch after landing this is a good place to go. I ordered their Salmon Opelousas and it was great. Tasted delicious only wish it had more sauce. I like drowning my dishes sauces. Unfortunately their beignets were no good.

Let me start by saying that I seldom write reviews but I decided to take the time today. I've patronized this restaurant for years (over 10 years). I haven't been there in a while (this year) so I decided to grab takeout today since I was in the area. I ordered beignets and calamari. The calamari was decent but the beignets were hard, tasteless and stale. My experience while dining in is vastly different than the take out option. This is the second time I ordered takeout and the food quality pales in comparison. There should not be such a disparity!!! The first time I let it go, but this time is unacceptable. A 10 % fee assessed and I tipped as I usually do, only to get home to this subpar food. I'm extremely disappointed and a bit annoyed. I don't mind paying for something as long the quality meets the expected standard. Treat your customers well and they will return.....

So I usually don't come on set of town but I was here. The corner grill has been on my list of places to go to for a while and I'm glad I got a chance to check it out. Their street parking there so you don't have to worry about a lot. It's a two-story establishment so you may think that it's not that much space but there really is because they have a whole upstairs. If decorated nice and clean and very brightly lit. The spot itself is very small one appearance but they make it work. They have a bar, not a pool bar but they have enough if you want to order. So if you did need to go ahead and get some liquor it would be an issue. The brunch they have is only for Saturday so if you look on that online and want something for the brunch menu you would not be able to get Alexis designated a specific day for it. But the food that they have elsewhere is good though. Our waitress explain everything to us of menu so we know exactly what we were getting and what they had and did not have. She was super nice and friendly and make sure we had a lot of time to decide. The beignets for good. The shrimp and grits were good even though I didn't get that. Either of getting the case or pasta and it was amazing. Some of the best Cajun pasta that I've had. It was nice and season to perfection. It just the right amount of sweet spice to it. I have the brussel sprouts as a side, they weren't that many but they were still though. I would order all of it over again. Overall I would definitely suggest trying to spot out. It did not miss at all! Everything was good! Again, just floating back to the Cajun pasta, man! They did their thing with that!

Although my MARTA trips to the airport have always passed through College Park, I had never had the opportunity to stop off. Now, I feel like I have a reason to. The Corner Grille is a small eatery that is few steps from the College Park MARTA Station. Everything from the service, to the food, to the ambiance was on point, making my experience at The Corner Grille nothing short of spectacular. The menu has a primarily Cajun/Creole influence to it with some other American offerings included. A lot of their dishes include seafood, which they prepare extremely well. As an appetizer, my family and I split an order of shrimp and corn fritters. Those were alright, kind of just an expensive hush puppy. The shrimp was noticeable, but in very light quantity. My big recommendation for your meal: get the Salmon Opelousas. I have no idea what Opelousas is, but my goodness this dish was so amazing. It may be one of the best salmon dishes I've had! For context, the dish contains blackened salmon with a crawfish and mushroom cream sauce over rice. The salmon (which we requested medium) was cooked perfectly, tender and so fresh tasting. Although it wasn't seasoned too heavily in my opinion, the salmon carried plenty of its own natural flavor. The cream sauce was not too heavy and contained plenty of crawfish inside. Plus, who doesn't like rice and sauce, the age-old combination? This dish was the recommendation of the house, and is mine to you. I also got to try a few other dishes too. I was super impressed with the shrimp and grits. The shrimp were cooked and seasoned perfectly and the sausage and grits together gave the dish great balance. My parents were especially fond of the kale and beet salad, it had many different flavors and textures put together with a beautiful dressing. They could not get enough of that salad! Lastly, the charred broccoli was prepared nicely. The broccoli itself was tender and wasn't too salty, but also not bitter. The char wasn't overpowering. The three of us were able to family-style the entire meal, the portions here were certainly generous enough to allow us to try a little bit of everything! Aside from the food, everything else was to the highest quality. The interior is small, but cozy and lively. It gives a good vibe without it being too casual nor upscale. Service here was impeccable, our waitress was extremely attentive and helpful with her recommendations. They even had one of the chefs serving food and talking to guests. That is what I call a love for the job, and absolutely plays a major factor to the success of this restaurant!

I came here on a recommendation from hotel staff. From the outside, it's nothing special. But come in! The restaurant is PHENOMENAL. The shrimp and grits were the best I've ever had. A bit of spice and so creamy and flavorful. The cocktails are awesome. And to top it off, my server, Jon, was attentive and welcoming. I'm not from ATL, but man, I'm making a trip back here for this place.

The Spinach artichoke dip, Damnnnnn I'm in love. Best dip I've had since being in Georgia. This is a great spot to get a bite. The salmon burger is filling and the customer service was great, the waiter knew what I needed before I asked. The next time I go back I'll get a burger, they looked big and juicy

Loved this place! Great service, the seafood pasta was delicious and meaty, cheap bottles of wine, salmon club was fresh and tasty, gumbo was flavorful. The kale and beet salad was my fave, the dressing was so tangy

It feels more like a Cafe than a grill. Small quaint place to relax and have a great tasting meal either with a friend or alone. All of the staff were friendly especially my server John. Very professional and personable. My order came out fast and hot.

The food here is absolutely delicious! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the cat fish and shrimp and the salmon club sandwich! And they had plenty of space for High chairs for the little one! Our server was nice and everything she recommended was on point!!!! Drinks and food are A-1! Very close to hotel and airport

This restaurant exceeded my expectations! It doesn't look like much from the outside, but we had a great experience! It was very clean, the staff was friendly, and (most importantly) the food was delicious! The portions were generous and it came out hot and fresh! I would definitely recommend!

I was out with a colleague in downtown College Park and decided to give this place a try, and I'm glad I did. It was a 5 for my experience. The hostess acknowledged and greeted us quickly, we were immediately seated, and our waiter came over soon after to greet us and welcome us as 1st timers. He gave us recommendations, and I went with the veggie burger with kale and garlic as a side, and my lunch mate went with the salmon club. The food arrived, and we were all eating and no conversation as the food was delicious. It's definitely the best veggie burger I've had in a long time. The kale was also very good, if you can make kale taste good, it's a win-win. My lunch mate said her sandwich was also an excellent choice. I definitely need to return for another visit.

While in Atlanta I came across this restaurant and I'm really glad I did. The hospitality from the beginning was great. The food was delicious. I had the pork chop and mashed potatoes and I couldn't stop eating:). The brownie dessert was also mouth watering. Kudos to the chef and staff, I will definitely come again on my next trip.

Ambience: Fantastic! Great looking, casual restaurant, very clean and in order. Service: Absolutely wonderful! Food: Excellent! I had the shrimp and corn fritters - they were very tasty. The shrimp and grits were very good - perfectly seasoned; shrimp was tender and delicious. Loved the presentation. Only note for management: please consider the cloth napkins; the cloth napkin that was provided left white fuzz on my black pants.

Went here Wednesday during lunch time. The restaurant is on the smaller side, so we did have to wait 20 minutes to be seated, as it is busy. It was worth the wait. Vanessa was our server, she's AWESOME, ask for her. The ambiance, service and food was beyond AMAZING. I really enjoyed everything about this place.

It was good the greens could've been better. The service was on point I liked how close it was to the street so the view was enjoyable as we ate our food.

Great little alternative to the Gateway hotel options! It's a quick ride. The food and service were great with a small mom and pop feel. The seafood pasta was the absolute winner from my group of 6 who ate here ! Cheers

I love a wonderful Atlanta restaurant, but I was very disappointed with the service at the corner grill. We got here sat down waiting for an hour and a half while people came well. Got a few sporadically. Waited over 45 minutes for our drinks. This is our second attempt at this restaurant. I would not recommend coming here. I don't know if this night was shortstaffed but after all this, we only got 10% off our bill.

Great service, EXCEPTIONAL food!! This is one of our go-to spots near the Convention Center. The Cajun Chicken Pasta is my personal favorite, but everything I've had here has been a winner If street parking is full, there's a free lot a couple blocks up the road too

Wanted to stop by as I celebrate my birthday with my friends. Party of 3. Server was very nice and knowledgable of the menu. Food was hearty and delicious. Even a salad will fill you up. Street parking available. I would definitely recommend for a date or after work dinner.

Just returned and had the worst experience. Went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and was excited to introduce the restaurant to my husband after a pleasant visit w coworkers last week. Drove 40 mins just to dine there. Arrived. Was told 45 mins. Gladly waited. Once sat, our server took 5-8 mins before even arriving at our table. He didn't greet us. Just asked what we wanted to drink. Took drink appetizer and entree orders and left. Quickly returned w drinks but didn't return for 25-30 mins w appetizer. He brought dirty app plates so I asked for plasticware and also a cup of ice water (unrelated). He said no. They frown on plastic at table. I said yes but you've given us dirty plates so I'd prefer plastic ware at this point. Still no. We waited and waited and waited. He didn't stop to check on us yet I could see him working at the bar. Well I should say working. He was laughing w the folks at the bar. Using his cell phone. Showing the folks at the bar his phone. They were having a great time. Meanwhile, we received nearly no service. We waited another 30+ mins for food after our app had been served even though everything was ordered at once. We saw table after table come after us and receive food before us. We saw every other serve hustling to check on their guest 3-4 times and we receive non of that service. We needed refills, wanted cocktails, wanted condiments but had no service. We even had to track down other passing servers to help. I never got the cup of ice from my server. Eventually had to ask someone else. I wanted to know about the desert so flagged down a helpful waitress. This was the worst experience. We had to ask the hostess for our check and to go boxes. We told her we'd been neglected all night. It was a not so great way to spend a wedding anniversary and I regretted suggesting the place to my husband. And to top it off, he had the nerve to say "we appreciate your business" as he gave us the bill. Really? We felt zero appreciation. We felt stressed and overlooked and second class. I'll say this: restaurant food was a 4/5. I saw many great servers but the older Caucasian man was horrible. He doesn't have the ability to serve beyond the 3 top at the bar. If he is assigned to your table, immediately request a different server and you'll probably have a much better experience.

I had family in town and wanted to try a new place. Stopped in for brunch and all I can say is the food was delicious. I ordered the calamari the steak and egg and French toast. Everything was delicious but the calamari had a nice mix of sweet and spice so it stood out the most. The service was great our server was attentive and was very patient as we tried to figure out what we wanted. I will definitely be back

Enjoyed dinner here a few weeks ago with a good friend. I absolutely loved the warm atmosphere! I was greeted by name at the front door and the staff was beyond friendly and helpful during my first visit. Per my waiter's recommendation I ordered the salmon and enjoyed the shrimp fritters! We finished the night with fresh beignet! After catching up with my friend for hours and the restaurant closing, we were still greeted with a warm smile while exiting. At no point did their staff make us feel rushed or not wanted! If you're in the area... this is a great try! Food is delish and not so pricey either. I will definitely be back!

The food and wait staff is great, the maître, D leaves a lot to be desired. I'm not sure if she has some type of issue (mentally) however, whenever she is at the front I chose to go elsewhere. Again, the food is GREAT & the wait staff is EXCELLENT if you can get past the maître D.

The ambiance was wonderful. The restaurant is set in a historic building built in 1906, but with a contemporary look. The food was excellent. I had the salmon club with the chargriled broccoli. It was wonderful. My husband had the Cajun blackened chicken with fries, also delicious. We also ordered the beignets covered in powdered sugar with a choice of dipping sauces. We had chocolate sauce & praline sauce. It tasted Just like we were in New Orlean. The service was excellent and the prices were reasonable. I would highly recommend this restaurant for an excellent meal and experience.

I was remiss in providing another review for The Corner Grille after enjoying their dinner service. The service is so friendly that you want to help with the dishes. You become family. I can not say enough about the freshness of the meals. Brunch or dinner, this is a wonderful venue.

Came in for lunch. Super friendly staff. Beautiful interior and very clean. Total gem ! Our table had salmon Caesar salad, chicken caesar salad, salmon btl and a burger. All delicious and prepared perfectly.

Omg! I loved everything about my visit today. My friends and I met for an early lunch and it was delicious. The crispy Brussel sprouts, the fish and shrimp, and the corn fritters were cooked to perfection. The star of the show was the kale artichoke dip... the seasoned chips were amazing! I will be back..

Great food, salmon was awesome, chicken definitely hit the spot. A little prices, the only reason for 4 stars Service was excellent and all staff was very friendly, they definitely love their jobs Atmosphere was excellent and great place for friends or a Date We looking forward in going back!

Very cute place. The staff was awesome, despite being short staffed, you would never know because they were efficient and extremely positive. We started with the kale and artichoke dip. That do is a must! The pita chips took the show. They were seasoned perfectly. My husband had the Salmon club and he loved it. He said "all the flavors merged well." I had the catfish and shrimp with 2 sides (kale&onions and the chargrilled broccoli). Now hear me out, this was southern fried seafood cooked perfectly with cornmeal. The crunch was everything I needed. As for the vegetables... I could've eaten just that. They should consider adding it to the menu as a vegetable plate. I can't wait to come back and try the other vegetables and dishes. I didn't take any pictures I will next because the plating was chefs kiss.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon around 1:40 PM. We did not have reservations so we were told there was about a 15 minute wait. There was a party of 10 ahead of us so we didn't get seated until a little after 2 PM. The space is small, seating about 30 in the dinning area. It's clean and has lots of natural light. Unfortunately, we visited for brunch but it ends at 2 PM so we had to order from the lunch menu. We had kale artichoke dip and corn/shrimp fritters to start. Then we had the shrimp & grits & the blackened chicken sandwich for mains. Kale & Artichoke Dip 4/5 - Dip was tasty & the homemade chips were fresh. Corn & Shrimp Fritters 3/5 - They were okay, somewhat thick batter similar to hush puppies. I didn't taste much shrimp and it seemed to be refried a bit. Shrimp & Grits 2/5 - They gave a pretty decent amount of shrimp and the fresh baguette was nice but the grits missed the mark. The grits were grainy & were lacking creaminess. Blackened chicken sandwich 3/5- Chicken was well seasoned & the bread was soft. Overall, the food was decent, will try again for brunch.

Service was a bit slow but the food was really good. Ambience was very nice. This is a nice place to take your parents for lunch. I hear they are opening one in west midtown as well.

My friend and I went on our lunch break when it was pouring raining outside. We ordered the kale and artichoke dip and crab cakes for appetizers. We loved both. That dip was good enough to eat alone! My friend ordered the Peach Ginger tea and she loved it! They served her a mug with the tea bag inside. On the side of the plate were lemons. They brought out hot water and honey separately. It was the cutest little set up. She ordered more water to reheat her tea bag. For our entree, she ordered the veggie burger without the bun, and the kale and onions for her side. I ordered the grouper over roasted vegetables and the kale and onions. We were very much full and had to get it to go. Our total came to $156 after tip. Lovely place. Would definitely go back

The Corner Grille is delicious. Food is delectable and I cannot get enough of the Cajun Seafood Pasta! Service is also amazing.

First impression is everything and this place knocked it out of the park. Lamb shank had amazing flavor and such deep richness to the sauce that it just melt in your mouth. I also ordered the salmon with mushroom sauce and it was a dish I've never tasted before in my 5 years of being in the culinary industry. I personally got to talk to the Cook Glen and he is so talented at what he does. He described a dish to me before I even tried it and I knew it was going to be the best dish on the menu. Presentation of the dishes were a work of art and the food came out relatively fast. Everything from service to ambience was on point. This place is a must visit if you're visiting Atlanta or just stopping by the airport for a delayed flight.
