Nostalgic American spot with velvet booths & fancy pizza rolls

"A modern American spot that became impossible to get into once Taylor Swift started going, it served as the first buzzy stop before the arrival of the Eighty Six and now the forthcoming Or’esh." - Melissa McCart

"At this Soho newcomer, the French dip has been a top seller since opening in September 2024, stacking 72‑hour dry‑aged wagyu on a house‑baked baguette with horseradish aioli and a two‑day au jus for $38.95; as the restaurant’s culinary director notes, “they’re not easy to execute, so you can’t get a great one just anywhere.”" - Andrea Strong

"One of Swift’s newest favorites, The Corner Store in Soho (opened September 2024) reads like a playful, upscale throwback to American comfort food — I’d sample the five-cheese pizza rolls, spinach artichoke dip, apple hand pies, and the lobster & caviar roll, and don’t miss the Caesar topped with cream cheese croquettes and everything-bagel croutons; for a convivial start, the Martini Service for two or three is made for sharing." - Derin Yilmaz

"A minimalist dessert spot serving sliced Harry’s Berries on ice — "naked!" — accompanied by a lightly salted vanilla bean Chantilly cream with a lemon cookie crumble. Like lobster, the berries are sold at market price (expect around $15, though it may vary day to day)." - Emma Orlow
"Verdict: How do you feel about clubstaurants? The Corner Store, from the Catch team, isn’t quite one, but there’s definitely some shared DNA. At this flashy American restaurant in Soho, you can sit in a big booth, drink a pornstar martini, and eat fancy bite-size pizza rolls brought to you by a server in an oversized suit. Even if the food is surprisingly good, it's not worth waiting in line for a table. The Corner Store releases reservations online two weeks in advance at 10am. They do not accept walk-ins for tables, and we learned this the hard way. There is, however, a 13-seat bar near the entrance where you can try to claim a seat. It tends to be packed by 6pm." - bryan kim
