The Best Rooftop Bars and Restaurants in Rome

"From The Court cocktail bar in Palazzo Manfredi, you'll be bowled over by the unparalleled view of the amphitheatre illuminated by the golden reflections of the sunset. Once seated, you might fancy you hear distant echoes of gladiatorial combat as you sip on an Imperial Martini – the utmost expression of mixology at its best. The vibe at The Court is a delightful blend of luxury and intimacy, with extreme attention paid to every last detail. Sofas to sink into, elegant floor lamps, and lush plants make for an ambience that is at once inviting and sophisticated. The cocktails, created by famous mixologist Matteo Zed, are a celebration of Roman flavors – the Colosseum Negroni, for example, allies tradition and innovation. As night falls, The Court evolves into a mesmerizing spot beneath the stars. The majestic view of the Colosseum turns every visit to The Court into a journey back in time, immersing you in the beauty and thousand-year history of Rome. This magical atmosphere is echoed in the MICHELIN-Starred restaurant Aroma." - The MICHELIN Guide

"The Court, an off-the-radar lounge bar with front row seats to the Colosseum, is the perfect place to wind down in Rome . The bar overlooks the archaeological ruins of the Ludus Magnus (the site where the gladiators trained) and offers a view of sunset over the Colosseum, the world’s most amazing arena. The cocktails are the creation of mastermind Matteo Zed, one of Rome’s top bartenders, whose tasty Rising Sun (a gin, yuzu, and matcha cocktail) may well keep you at the bar until dawn."

"It’s all about the view at the Court, the open-air bar niched in the courtyard at Palazzo Manfredi. With a front row to the Colosseo, the best time to pop in for a drink is early evening so you can catch the sunset behind the ancient monument while enjoying mastermind barman Matteo Zed’s clever creations, like the Rising Sun gin, yuzu, and matcha cocktail."

This bar needs a higher rating. It’s on the pricier side BUT it’s really worth it! Nice atmosphere with breathtaking view. The cocktails were great and came with complementary drinks and food. Nothing to complain about. Highly recommend. If you arrive first on your time slot you get the best view of the colosseum.

Google
Excellent! One of the best cocktail experiences I’ve ever had. We booked about a week in advance and were lucky to get the best table in the house. The service, cocktails, appetizers—and of course, the Colosseum views—were all 10/10. Everything was absolutely impeccable. I can’t recommend this place enough! 🤩

Erika Erb

Google
First of all, we arrived 5 minutes before our 10pm reservation and were told we needed to wait our turn outside in the line. This means we didn’t get seated at our front row table until 15 minutes after 10pm. Off to a rocky start but the view at the front row seats is positively magical. The colosseum view is incredible. I’ve had a lot of different versions of espresso martinis and theirs was by far the worst. The waitress warned us they were strong but we were not ready for some clear liquid in a glass that kind of resembled a slight coffee taste. 0/10 recommend the cocktails especially for the €27 price. Wine may have complimented the olives, lime chips, and almonds better which were unexpected but delicious snacks. All in all, if you’re looking for views and ambiance ONLY then this is the perfect place. I can’t recommend this place for anything more than the beautiful view.

Google
Looking forward to a great view and pleasant evening. Wrong. What a terrible place Do not go. Do not waste your money. Manager too time to talk to every table in the place is well as the people seated at the bar. All except us. Felt discriminated because we we a bit older and not fancy enough. Got the worst seat view if you could call it that. Far better outside the door. Left after 1 drink a bad service.

Tourist Trap with Appalling Service, Food, and Filthy Utensils Food 2/10, Service 2/10, Drinks 3/10, View 6/10 This establishment is a blatant tourist trap. Having worked in the service industry for years and my spouse being a bartender, we rarely withhold a tip, but this experience warranted it. To make matters worse, my utensils were absolutely filthy. The food was truly disgusting. The sushi rice was undercooked, and the gyoza deflated into a mushy mess as soon as it was picked up. Despite having a reservation and being third in line, our request for a Coliseum view was denied, and we were seated where other diners obstructed our view. The drinks were equally disappointing. While our first round was decent, subsequent orders were offensive. As a Puerto Rican, I was served a CLEAR piña colada that tasted unpleasant. My spouse was offered a replacement for his drink by one of our four (!) waiters, who promised to remove it from the bill if he didn't like it. This offer was never honored, and that waiter never checked back with us. We ended up paying over 150 euros for what was easily the worst dining experience of my life. I witnessed another couple, seated with a Coliseum view at 10:05 PM, wait until 11:00 PM to be served. They received the same terrible food we did, only to be asked to leave shortly after to accommodate the next party. It was an appalling display. This place should be ashamed of its practices.

Google
Very pretty view of the Colosseum, especially at night however only 5 couples or so get to actually have a solid view of the Colosseum. They sat us in low chairs and because of it we really didn’t get any of the colosseum even though we were only a row behind. It would be better if the chairs were raised higher so everyone can see. Drinks and food were okay. I appreciated the various appetizers they gave complimentary to us being there.

Google
Where to even begin... This was truly our best & most unforgettable bar experience. Looking out at the iconic Colosseum, we had a breathtaking experience. The ambience is sophisticated yet relaxed, with comfortable seating & soft lighting. The cocktail menu is unique & varied, clearly inspired by Roman history and culture. However, it's not just the view and the drinks that make this bar so special. The service is impeccable, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who make you feel so welcome. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a night out with friends, this bar is the perfect destination & a must-visit for an unforgettable Roman experience.

Google
Be prepared - whilst you book a certain time slot, you need to line up early to get a decent seat. We got there about 30 mins early to ensure we could sit at the front. view is nice, although you can get the same view from the sidewalk/many other bars. The cocktails were decent, however you would hope so for 27 euros each. The positive is that the reservation comes with a free welcome drink and nibbles which was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately for me - I had red wine spilt on me on a white dress, with not even an apology from the waiter, let alone any compensation. Overall, it's an "okay" experience, not worth the price.

Yelp
So the view is cool. But you need reservations! You can't just walk up and get in unfortunately so make them before your trip way in advance or if you coming here . They are hard to get and they are very particular. You entered in time blocks. There are only a few seats where most people would want to sit to get the perfect view of the colosseum. Other than that you are at the bar or tables around the area . Service is top notch inside tho - charming , professional and attentive . My bartender Laura was excellent and her cocktails were crème Dela crème and she was sweet. She definitely made up for the hassle of securing a reservation that night which I have to admit I was annoyed . ( long story but I wait outside a long time to go in) cocktails are like 30-40 euros but they are top notch and they come with " complimentary appetizers " so you are goood as far as food ;)

Yelp
Wow! What Ana amazing experience! The view is absolutely fabulous and the servers were also very responsive. We made a reservation in advance. We overheard the waiter telling others that people are places on their seating by when they make the reservation. Luckily we made a reservation as soon as it came available (about 7 days prior) and we had an amazing view. Our drinks were very good and we received several complimentary snack items. I'd suggest going to The Court. It's on the pricey side for drinks but the experience is worth it.

Yelp
View impecable. Try to reserve a table with the view of the colosseum. The service was fast and everyone is very attentive. The aperitivo they bring out was also to die for. I also asked for server for her recommendations on drinks. She recommended the first reaction shock! And she did not miss it was a delicious drink!

Yelp
GLOBE & GLASS Review: The Court at Palazzo Manfredi, Rome Rated by Ivy & Gigi Date: March 10, 2025 Rating: One Glass ("Worth a Visit--If You're Nearby") When Gigi and I arrived at The Court at Palazzo Manfredi, right on time for our reservation, we didn't exactly get the Roman welcome we'd envisioned. Ten minutes loitering on the cobblestones--dressed to the nines, naturally--felt more like a stamina test than a luxe prelude. Still, the promise of that Colosseum view kept us from storming the gates. Vibe & Aesthetic: Once seated (eventually), the reward landed. The terrace stares straight at the Colosseum, lit up like a timeless diva against Rome's afternoon sky. Sleek tables--well, not ours, a pint-sized affair barely bigger than an open school binder--soft lighting, lounge vibes, and a chic, well stocked bar whispered "luxe." It's Italian elegance with a modern edge, a spot where you sip and channel Fellini, sans paparazzi. Service Swagger: Here's where the chariot stalls. Ten minutes to be noticed at our table, then a 25-minute wait for drinks--were they chiseling the ice from the Colosseum? Complimentary olives, nuts, or whatever small bites blessed every other guest only hit us after a nudge, arriving 35 minutes in, post-meal like a belated apology. Silverware? Two chopsticks, one napkin--we tore it in two, rationing like castaways while the staff perfected their "ignore-the-couple-in-the-corner" routine and avoided eye contact at all costs. No whisper of a second round. Swagger? More like hospitality with a hearty limp. Drink Excellence: The cocktails, though, nearly salvaged it. The "Pornstar Martini" flickered in with a fiery garnish, a mini Roman torch, while "The Court's Signature" unfurled from a glass dome, smoky and seductive. Skill and passion? Check. Taste and punch? Oh yes. Timing? A Roman odyssey too slow. Wow Factor: That view--mamma mia, it's a stunner. Sipping with the Colosseum as your backdrop feels like a privilege, even with a price tag that doesn't blink. The smoke-and-fire drink show added flair, but the wow faded when round two stayed off the menu. Upselling seems to be a dirty word in these quarters. Replay Value: Would we return? Perhaps, for the view and drinks--if we pack snacks and a timer. Brilliance glimmers here, but consistency's playing hide-and-seek. It's for the patient or the pre-buzzed. The Verdict: The Court at Palazzo Manfredi nabs "One Glass". The Colosseum vista and cocktails make it worth a stop if you're nearby, but the service stumbles hard--shocking, since Italy invented hospitality, and we've been spoiled by Italian finesse elsewhere. Ivy's still swooning over that view; Gigi's plotting to nab the smoke dome and bolt. Cheers (Olives Optional), Ivy & Gigi, GLOBE & GLASS Sip with us at GlobeSippers: @GlobeAndGlass

Yelp
Excellent, imaginative cocktails. Highly trained bartenders. Great service. Beautiful view of the coliseum. Bossa nova music in the background. It's a fantastic place for a drink. Reservations are recommended but it is sometimes possible to get in without one if you are dressed nicely. Cocktails are 27 euro each but include a welcome glass of Prosecco and a huge selection of appetizers.

Yelp
Please note reservations are required and their websites like many in Italy aren't very good. Highly recommend asking your hotel to make the reservation. Also times are not listed on website currently.

Yelp
We had a reservation but were treated disrespectfully from the moment we arrived. The hostess seating guests was haughty and dismissive. Only place in Europe I have ever felt unwelcomed. Michelin should take back their star!

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and make a booking at The Court if you're headed to or already in Roma. This places not only serves what are likely some of the best cocktails in the world, but it does so while giving one of the most picture-esque views of one of the ancient wonders of the world - The Colosseo. Upon arrival, we found ourselves whisked into the Palazzo Manfredi. It is one of the most beautiful 5 star property I've had the pleasure of coming across, while containing a Michelin star property on the roof. Passing through the hotel, we made our way to the back patio, which seems to overlook some ancient ruins, creating an unfettered, 270-degree sightline to The Colosseo. We just happened to be seated at the edge of the patio, providing us with likely the best view of the night. On another day, I'd prefer the couches and other seating on the patio, but for the first time here, I think the edge of the patio provided the best experience. We were quickly greeted by Paolo, who was going to be taking care of us for the night. Paolo expertly guided us through the menu, and, after taking our preferences and notes into consideration, recommended the first round (which did not fail to exceed expectations. While we waited for our drinks, we were bombarded with an excellent surprise - a picnic basket worth of snacks and finger food to munch on (that I could've mistaken to have come from the neighboring Michelin restaurant given it's taste and presentation). As we made our way through the night and got closer to the end of our reservation, we were courteously offered to move over to the bar to extend our experience as we finished our second round of the night. The highlight of the night was Paolo and his magnificent service and finding the right drinks to quench the taste we were yearning for that specific evening. This has to be one of the most romantic and stunning spots in all of Europe, not just Rome. We lost track of time as we sipped away on our drinks and admired the millennia old wonder that was calling for our attention our entire stay. Do whatever you can, hell or high water, to make your way to this place during your stay in Roma- whether you are here for a short stay or for a long time. And be sure to sit in Paolo's section to elevate your experience to the ultimate level.

Yelp
I was skeptical going here thinking it was a tourist trap. It ended up being absolutely amazing! The service, drinks and appetizers are all amazing! It is a little pricey but I think it's worth it. They truly care about your experience and do whatever they can to make it exceptional. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
The Court at the Palazzo Manfredi Hotel overlooks the Colosseum ruins in Rome. It is a large safisticated outdoor bar with several types of seating. They have a full bar as well as their own specialty cocktails. The drinks come with potato chips and a choice of either sweet or salty snacks. We decided on our new favorite Italian cocktail, the Aperol Spritzer. The cocktail was excellent. We chose the salty snacks which consisted of olives and salted almonds. We stayed about an hour marveling at the Colosseum, which was is lit up at night. The service was pleasant and attentive. The decor is modern and the bar has an upscale feel. I highly recommend this place to sip a cocktail and marvel at the history of this area in Rome.

Yelp
So happy my friend recommended we visit the Court while in Rome. Reservations were super easy on their website - which had an English option. Arrived 15 minutes early and waited with others in a line on the sidewalk until our reservation block was open. Spectacular view of the Colosseum and ancient Gymnasium ruins lit up at night. Drinks are classy. Complimentary olives, nuts and finger sandwiches. Very memorable experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely worth doing once in your life! If you get there on time (reservations are a must!) and are nice to the check in hostess, you can get seated at the rail and have an unobstructed view of the Colosseum. I highly recommend coming around sunset for the best ambiance. Cocktails run around $30 USD but are worth it for the experience! I had an interesting spin on a Negroni with a melting "pod" of liquor that slowly dissolved and made each sip of the drink taste a little different. They also bring you a big assortment of appetizers - finger sandwiches, olives, hummus, etc - and were able to change a few things to accommodate my vegetarian diet and my friend's seafood allergy.

Yelp
My husband and I came here while on our honeymoon, very good cocktails and one of the better aperitivo we had in Italy! The customer service was excellent as well. I will say though, some seats are better than others, some are so far back they wouldn't have a great view without having to walk to the railing for a quick picture. We got lucky but maybe you can request a seat along the railing when you make your reservation.
google avatar

Anita a.

Yelp
Beautiful view and good cocktails. Unfortunately, customer service was not good. We had reservations for the first time slot when they open. We got inside and I kindly asked if we could get seats closer to the view and they said those are for other reservations made earlier. That would make sense , until I saw them seating two people that had no reservations outside waiting in one of those sections 20-30 min after we were inside. They were very short with us when we had questions about the cocktails. Not very personable. It's unfortunate that such a wonderful location is ruined by such mediocre customer service.

Ricardo S.

Yelp
worst treat in Italy! You have to do an appointment for being in a line and if you're a men you cant use your hermes or lv sandals but woman can use them. Weird right?
google avatar

Eddie A.

Yelp
Please don't come here. You'll be judge as soon as you walk in. Drinks are ok but take for ever to get to you. Seriously, you can tour the Colosseum and your drinks will probably won't be ready.
google avatar

Naveen S.

Yelp
Excellent service, and excellent drinks! We got seated at a table facing the Colosseum for sunset, and the view didn't disappoint. Complementary snacks came with the drinks. 10/10 recommend!

Yelp
A MUST IN ROME!! Looking for an amazing view of the colosseum? Great drinks? Good music? Go to the court! I made a reservation online because it was a weekend however when we arrived they had lost our reservation. Regardless, we were able to enter the bar and enjoy a drink. They provide delicious appetizers with the drinks including small sandwiches, spiced almonds, olives and more! My drink came in a cabbage cup, very unique and fun.
google avatar

Kevin D.

Yelp
Great variety of high quality cocktails. Unbeatable views of the Roman Colosseum at night. Friendly staff. A little pricing at €27/drink but worth it for 1-2. Menu photos are as of June 2023.
google avatar

Kirsten A.

Yelp
Avoid at all costs. Will turn you away if you don't look the part, despite having very vague guidelines on what is acceptable (long pants and collars for men), which we followed. We also had a reservation. It's not a rooftop and not worth your money for such a snooty establishment. We went to another bar down the road for the same view and a fraction of the cost.
google avatar

Yelp
Great view of the colosseum while grabbing a drink, almost any drink is €27. Comes with chips and olives to snack on.

Yelp
This fabulous cocktail bar is located in The Manfredi Hotel. I had originally seen The Court on Instagram and I knew when I went to Italy I had to go here! I completely forgot to make reservations ahead of time. My husband and I were extremely lucky. We called the same day, in the afternoon and were able to get a reservation for two, for 9pm on our last day in Rome! What a ending to a fabulous vacation!! If you want an unbeatable view of the Colosseum in Rome, look no further than The Court. It has a completely unobstructed view of the Colosseum which is all lit up and gorgeous at night. We were lucky because we were seated at this long bar with bar stools that had a perfect view. As you sit there you are also overlooking ancient ruins that have been uncovered right below ground level. It's all pretty amazing! My husband and I both had our new favorite drink the Aperol Spritzer. It was pricey at $27 per drink but it comes with some snacks. I have to say it was a decent size drink for the price. We shared some snacks as well. The service was excellent, the drinks were delicious, the view was amazing as was the company I was with! All in all a perfect ending to our perfect Italian vacation! I highly recommend that you go to The Court Rome if you visit Italy. It's pricy but worth it! Have a cocktail and enjoy the view! It's very romantic!

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful gem in Rome with incredible views of the Colosseum. The cocktail menu is well thought out and plenty of non alcoholic options for those who don't drink. Came at 6:30pm and it was definitely a highlight of the trip. They serve a proper apertivo - olives, tartes, nuts, cheese. Staff is wonderful and the espresso martini is served clear - very cool and tasted delicious.
google avatar

Ebonee R.

Yelp
Get ready to spend almost $200 on 4 cocktails. The view 10/10 and the little apps are good as welll and drinks are well made! Just be sure to budget it in because prices are not on the menu.
google avatar

Angela Y.

Yelp
This was truly an experience of a lifetime. I still can't believe I was here casually sipping cocktails and munching on snacks to this 2000 year old magnificent thing. I recommend making a reservation around sunset time because nothing beats watching the sun slowly set behind the colosseum. For €25 per person you get a cocktail of your choice and an appetizer tower, which is not expensive at all comparing to bars in metro areas in the US. I got an old fashioned that was strong and delicious. The snack tower is a combination of desserts, tiny sandwiches, fruits and cheese. All of them were delicious. The ambiance is classy and trendy. The patrons looked sophisticated and well dressed. All the waiters were wearing suits. It's definitely touristy with American music playing in the background, but that doesn't take away from how wonderful this whole experience was.

Nicki E.

Yelp
Other than the view do not waste your time. The service is awful and for the price you pay, go somewhere else! Not impressed and the waiter stood in front of is blocking our view so he could flirt with 2 girls.

Andrew L.

Yelp
HORRIBLE customer service. My wife and I were highly anticipating visiting this bar on our trip to Rome. We got online right as reservations opened and booked a table for 8:00. When we arrived we were immediately turned away at the door. My wife had on a nice pair of sandals. We were told their policy was "no open toed shoes". On the website, this is not the case. We were then told "we are working to update the website. We know it's wrong." If it clearly states on your website "no open sport shoes" and someone is wearing a nice pair of sandals, that should be honored. Do not list one thing on your website and say another thing at the door. The staff was very rude and not accommodating. I can see if we showed up in jeans and flip flops or slides turning us away but I had on dress slacks and a button down and my wife had on a nice dress and nice, open toed sandals. Warning for all wanting to enjoy on their trip to Rome. The website is wrong and the staff is EXTREMELY rude. I do not recommend this bar to anyone.
google avatar

Lily N.

Yelp
Beautiful view but rude staff. Our group of 3 made a reservation weeks in advanced asking for a balcony seat and weren't offered one. When we saw other guests get seated on the balcony who were seated in the lounge like we were, we asked if we could get seated there as well or how it worked. We were prompted told "no. You can only sit there as a group of 2." That seemed reasonable until we saw someone get seat on the balcony seating by herself after she was seated at the bar & then asked if she could. This experience was very disappointing given that drinks are $27 each, we had reservations more than 3 weeks in advanced and that it wasn't even that busy. I would not come here again.

Yelp
My first time in Rome & we decided to spend our first night at The Court Cocktail Bar. The Hospitality in this beautiful bar is truly an amazing experience i've never had before! The waiters are extremely nice, attentive and not to mention the VIEW!! right in front of the Coliseum!! Along with our amazing drinks, we were also served a tower of cute little appetizers ranging from little bite size ham& cheese sandwiches to olives to fresh mozzarella!! Literally the best place i've been to here! If you ever visit, make sure to reserve at this rare location!!

Hendrik N.

Yelp
Unique cocktail bar with an amazing view of the Colosseum. Drinks are certainly creative and innovative. A little bit too much fuzz to let us in late on a Monday night when almost half the place was empty. Still, I would come back.
google avatar

Rach C.

Yelp
Unparalleled view, exquisite cocktails, and impressive service! Best to make reservations, although we were able to walk in since it was a weekday. Drinks are very pricey at 27€ but well worth it! Comes with unlimited, complimentary appetizers. Go and judge for yourself!

Yelp
Amazing views, great drinks, staff was incredible, management even gave us a free shots. I've traveled all over the world (NY, LA, Barcelona, Frankfurt, Miami) and this place competes with the best. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This is a gorgeous cocktail lounge with an unbelievable view and very high-end consistent styling and service. If you're looking for a place to catch a great cocktail... with the view being unparalleled this would be a great choice! it's located towards the back of the outstanding and gorgeous Palazzo manfredi. There's one main bar area with lots of little cozy private places to sit most of them feature that gorgeous view with a simple turn of your head. As you would expect this is a five-star hotel bar in a European capital city... so prices will be at the very top of the cocktail range... but if you're looking for a high-end, cool swanky spot for some quality time, this place is tough to beat!

Bella M.

Yelp
When we walked in the hostess was very rude. We walked in and she tried to tell us to go back to the end of the line when we already waited in line and had a reservation. Then when she was asking us our reservation name she tried telling us that two of our male guests couldn't come in because they were wearing shorts. On their website it states that men can wear shorts as long as they are wearing a polo, which both of them were. We also emailed them prior to our reservation and stated that our reservation was for 6, but we had 7 people and were wondering if they could squeeze one more in. They replied to our email and said that our extra person could sit at the bar. When we got there they denied our extra person, so two people in our group left. A very kind staff member did tell us there was a no show so the rest of our group was able to come back and sit at a different table. Next thing was that it took 12 minutes for a server to greet us and to ask us if we wanted water. I ended up having to ask for it myself. 3 different servers walked past us, served other people who walked in after us, AND refilled their drinks before even asking us if we wanted water. If you come here prepare to be ignored. The view is amazing though.

Yelp
The Court is second to none! This sexy cocktail bar, located at Palazzo Manfredi hotel, is a MUST for an aperitivo or digestivo while in Roma! Master mixologist Matteo Zed and his beautiful staff are phenomenal, with attention paid to every last detail. The cocktails are well crafted and deliciously made, with flair and exceptional technique! We enjoyed the Tinder Spritz, Yuniper Butterly and First Reaction.. Shock! Equally amazing, of course, is the view! Make a stop here - you will NOT be disappointed! And say ciao! to Matteo and Martina for me!

Leslie S.

Yelp
Complimentary Prosecco upon arrival. How can anyone see that as a negative??? Great view with a unique seating arrangement. I highly recommend making a reservation so that you can experience the open area of the rooftop if you choose. I tried to book a month in advance, which the website did not allow but had no issues booking my reservation within a 14-day window. A tower of snacks - nuts, olives, chips, mini paninis, bite-sized savory pastries - came with the cocktails we ordered. I was blown away by the presentation of the drinks. This bar is a little pricey; however, everything we ate and drank was very satisfying!

Yelp
Loved this place! Originally my wife and I were going to come to this hotel for dinner since it overlooks the Colosseum. We ate before, but decided to go to the bar here instead. We could not of been more impressed. We got great seats looking towards the Colosseum. I really wish we had not ate before we came because they give so many amazing snacks to go with your drinks. They literally give you four definitely trays of food complimentary to go with your drinks. We could not finish it all. It was so much! Seriously go hungry! Our waiter and the rest of the staff were great! They were extremely friendly and helpful with the menu. The bar is incredibly well taken care of as well. If you come to Rome you have to go The Court!

Yelp
showed up to my reservation. They charged my card for a cancellation fee even after showing up with my whole party when I paid with a different card. When I called the manager was very rude and blamed it on the reservation system. They won't refund me and refused to help me resolve the issue. I happily paid for multiple drinks for my party of 4 but don't appreciate random charges only used to make my reservation. Don't enter your card information unless you want unexpected charges and unprofessional service. Also they have one bathroom for the whole restaurant that's unkept.

Yelp
We made reservations online days before arriving to Rome and even though they were made, they were running behind and asked us to come back an hour later. A little frustrating but we decided to stroll around the area and once we circled back we were finally seated with the most amazing view of the colosseum. However the servers were not the most attentive; It took a while to get their attention throughout our experience there even though inside it was not crowded at all with maybe four other couples around the outside patio. The drinks and desserts were amazing. We will definitely come back again regardless of the OK service.

Yelp
This court is the Spot! Aperolspritz for the win! Our girl Frederica was so warm and welcoming! This place has the best view to the Colosseum, great drinks and appetizers! You got to make this one of the must stop places when in Rome!!!

Yelp
Truly rude staff, as has been noted in multiple other reviews. We decided to give the place a shot despite the repeated negative reviews on service given its location by the colosseum, but we were immediately met with hostility right in reception. We had been to many other establishments, bars, and restaurants before coming here, and we can say that this is the one and only establishment in Rome that was actively rude and hostile to guests. I would never recommend going here to anyone. There are many other fine establishments with good food and drinks, and servers that make guests feel welcome. This was the complete opposite. I would not waste your time or money.

Yelp
This is crazy! My husband and I arrived in Rome from ATL on October 22nd. We toured the coliseum and finished just before sunset. We decided to walk over to The Court to enjoy the sunset at 6:15 but we were turned away because my husband had jeans on(they were dark jeans)and a long sleeved pull over... We were so disappointed they turned us away!! Stupid Americans!! We didn't get a chance to go back on a different day while in Europe. SO, with that said, make sure you are dressed better than us!! Two stars because they could have let us up to the terrace since it was early in the evening and there were only two other people there at that time.

Yelp
Absolutely not worth the hype/ view- this place is the Italian equivalent of the Oyster bar in Mykonos (if you know you know) no prices on the menu and absolutely no idea what they'll bring out on the bill. I think the reviews have already put people off as we went on Saturday night at 10pm and it was dead. Had one cocktail - a clear espresso martini which tasted horrendous (like heartburn in a glass) we were charged 27 euros per drink, we paid without any questions or fuss as we already had our reservations on the place but as I went for the receipt, the short haired Italian waitress snatched the bill book out of my hand as if I couldn't take a look once my partner had already paid. AVOID AND DO NOT GO! If you want the Colosseum night pictures go up the hill opposite the Colloseum to a little platform on the road then go to a local bar nearby which will be much more reasonable and I'm sure much more friendly!

Yelp
We were the first to be seated but watched for 40 minutes while everyone else around us got served food and drinks. Our drinks came finally after 50 minutes. The food itself was cold and stale. Not sure if it was because we were Asian that we were treated this way. Drinks were overpriced about 27 for one.

Yelp
This bar is absolutely incredible! From the view, to the drinks to the staff. Everything is extraordinary. We were going through italy for two weeks and this bar was our favorite memory. We ended up coming here for drinks on numerous occasions. Such a special place and the hospitality is untouchable. I will miss this place until I return! Also ask for Mateo, he is the best!!!

Yelp
Fancy setting and a nice view. The drinks are very good but fairly pricey. Not strict dress code
