Seattle’s New Restaurant Openings - Seattle - The Infatuation

"There’s a new all-day wine bar so close to Lake Union you might get a little lake spray in your prosecco. The Cove (officially opening June 14th) has lots of wine and bubbles, alongside snacky things like chips with crème fraîche, tinned fish, and truffle flatbread." - kayla sager riley, gabe guarente, aimee rizzo

Where To See & Be Seen In Seattle - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Mykonos beach club meets Wework conference room at this consistently crowded SLU wine bar on Lake Union near Google’s offices. The resulting scene? Perfect for a glass of pinot while watching fashionable groups pick at sweating cheese cubes or corporate types squint in the sun over laptops. Sure, it’s more style than substance, but it just makes sense here. So hell yeah, hand over the bottle of good-enough riesling and party right next to the water. Tech workers getting fresh air, kayakers who need to use the bathroom Expensive shades and the snazziest lanyards" - aimee rizzo, gabe guarente, kayla sager riley

The Spots Of The Summer, Seattle Edition - Seattle - The Infatuation

The Cove is one big corporate happy hour, only way more exciting - Review - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Mykonos beach club meets Wework conference room at The Cove, a consistently packed wine bar on Lake Union. The resulting scene? Perfect for a glass of pinot while watching fashionable groups pick at sweating cheese cubes. Sure, it’s more style than substance, as your snack options are limited to the likes of prosciutto-wrapped melon and sad truffle-oiled flatbread—and the wine’s coming from the same five or so corporate producers. But this stretch of SLU doesn't have a ton of casual all-day options for sipping a little something. So hell yeah, hand over the bottle of good-enough riesling and let’s party on a patio next to some water." - Aimee Rizzo

Came here on a sunny weekday and had a great time. The service was quick and attentive. The views & ambiance is what makes this place great. An outdoor table is worth it if the weather is good! Hoping the wine list will expand in the future. We got a few bottles but they weren’t as good as some of the other wine spots in Seattle

Google
Came here on Sunday with some of my girls and we had such a good time! The staff was welcoming, kind, and also provided us with really great wine and small bite recommendations. Thank you again to Amelia, Nathan, and Levi for taking care of us. Also the space is so beautiful. We will definitely be back ☺️

Google
New favorite spot is The Cove! We sat outside right on the water with unbeatable views you can boat right up to. The wine selection was top notch and the food was amazing. Burrata toast, hummus and feta, and sauvvy b highly recommend. Every detail felt thoughtful, and the service was warm and attentive. A true gem in Seattle right on lake union- we’ll definitely be back!!!

Google
Went with some friends last week & although the design & location of the space is pleasant, the service & food were below average! Staff was not warm or attentive (as someone who’s worked in the restaurant industry in wine countries) thus a poor rating.

Google
We were very impressed! The food was tasty (had melon and prosciutto and shrimp, along with desserts), wine was also good, and the atmosphere was lovely. Also had great customer service, particularly the hostess and Laura, who took care of us on a busy night. Worth a visit! Great to bring out of town guests to get a feel for Seattle.

Google
Really aesthetic place and awesome spot on the water but the food and service was lacking. We were told it would be an hour and a half wait, so started making other plans and we’re walking away when got the text in less then 10 min our table was ready, slow service but I know it’s a new place so that can improve over time. What really got me was the food, three tiny little bread buns with olive oil for ten dollars, and the 30 dollar charc board looked like a few things grabbed off hand from Safeway vs high quality meats n cheeses.. I think it’s a great idea and spot and such a cute venue but maybe some sound proofing/sound absorbing decor could help with the loud indoor area (we could barely hear each other talk) and the food could use an upgrade for the high quality atmosphere it presents! But I have high hopes!

Google
I have very mixed feelings of my experience today. On one hand, they have an amazing view over the water that’s perfect for sipping a glass of wine with friends. However, they are experiencing the growing pains of being a new restaurant. Service was very slow. We ordered 2 bottles of wine which took 20 minutes to arrive. There was no bucket of ice, so we had to take a bucket from a table that was recently vacated. We ordered food and then ended up canceling our food order after waiting over an hour. Overall, I expect the experience to improve as they get better as they get used to the rhythm of business. The bottles of wine were very reasonably priced, and the I would love to come back in a month of so to try again once they are more established. My experience today was 2 or 3 stars, but I could definitely see my review changing to 5 stars when I return.

Google
We had a great time here. Hospitality and wine was great! It was busy on a Tuesday afternoon but they found a way for us to stand outside which kept the party rolling. We got to enjoy some of the warm July Seattle sunshine. Eventually a group moved from a couch and they moved us into some welcome shade. Would recommend for groups and 2 party parties. We had shrimp cocktail and melon with prosciutto and both were delicious. Lauren was our server and was great! Rose was dry and very drinkable. Service checked in at all the right moments. Food was great. 5-stars, would recommend!

Yelp
We'd been meaning to stop by The Cove since they opened recently, as the location is perfect and it's been too long since that area has seen something new. We had originally made a reservation on opening night, but for better or worse they were so busy they were unable to accommodate us. Ultimately they made it right and invited us back to a VIP Night to truly get the experience. Their marketing manager Mary really took care of us! Our server Rana was amazing, super attentive, and really made us feel comfortable. The patio seating was awesome. The ambiance inside looked great too. We had some good small bites and really enjoyed the Orange wine. We will be back soon!

Yelp
We'd heard super mixed reviews about this place from friends, so we decided to check it out ourselves - and honestly, we were very pleasantly surprised! We stopped by on Saturday night (7/20) just to grab a drink and some snacks before heading to dinner. The weather was gorgeous and we were hoping to soak up some sun and enjoy a glass of wine with a lake view. It was busy (not shocking for a Saturday), and the outdoor area was totally full - but they gave us the option to stand outside, which worked perfectly for us. The biggest complaint we'd heard from others was slow or inattentive service, but that definitely wasn't our experience. Within 10 minutes of arriving, we had wine and some salty almonds in hand. Staff checked on us multiple times, and there were always a bunch of people running around making sure everyone had what they needed. It really seemed like something had changed behind the scenes?! We didn't try the full food menu, so can't speak to that part - but based on our visit, we'd say it's worth giving this place another shot. It felt like the team had regrouped, and the vibe was great! The location is just amazing and it has so much potential!!

Yelp
Summer is PEAK in Seattle and The Cove is clearly not prepared for it. And I'm so bummed! I've been wanting to try this place out since it opened but likely won't be back until they get their ish together. I hope they do soon, because there's so much potential here! The good: wine, location, views, interior decor, and vibe. CHEFS KISS! The bad: extremely limited food menu, no happy hour (c'mon!!), non-attentive (and possibly inexperienced) servers, pricey, and minimal outdoor seating/shade. They sat us inside alongside the window. It was nice at first, but the sun quickly impeded on us and there was no respite. Customers were even putting their napkins on their shoulders/arms to block the sun. Why didn't that alert staff to roll the shades down (or do they not have shades?)? It became uncomfortable really fast. The wine was chilled and tasty, but the minimal bites left us wanting more. On top of that, it took forever to get water refills, our order placed, and the check. In all, we couldn't wait to leave...

Yelp
I was really looking forward to checking out the newly renovated South Lake Union waterfront and its new restaurants, but my experience here was such a disappointment that I have no intention of coming back. As a long-time Yelper, I usually give restaurants a second chance before writing a review, but what happened here couldn't be brushed off as a typical "soft opening week" issue. From the start, our host was rude and unwelcoming. They forgot our order, and it took an unreasonably long time just to get someone's attention to check in. When we finally did, they brushed us off with a curt "it's on the way," without any apology for the delay. When our food finally arrived - Jamón and melon - it was incredibly underwhelming for the price. By the end of the meal, we were so neglected that we had to walk up to the front desk to ask to pay our bill. I understand that being out of stock on certain items happens during soft openings, but the staff's overall attitude made it clear they didn't care to help customers at all. The space itself, which I thought looked promising during construction, just felt like a generic hotel lobby with no atmosphere, no culture, no identity. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. Even if my friends decide to go, I won't be joining them.

Yelp
A wine bar on the water... who could ask for anything more?! I don't think they've even been open a week yet, but they're doing a great job figuring out the space quickly. My husband and I came in without a reservation on a Thursday afternoon just after 4pm and though the venue was bustling, we were quickly seated at the short bar. We ordered a prosecco rosé and a guava spritz, both perfect drinks for a sunny afternoon. For food, we shared olives, chips & crème fraîche, and a Greek salad with chicken. While we thought it was a little strange that they all came out at the same time about 20 minutes after ordering (I would've thought the olives and chips would be out first), we weren't really here for a meal, more so for wine and a little nosh, so this was perfectly fine. The snacks were yummy and great to accompany our drinks. Though I wouldn't consider this a place for dinner, it's a perfect wine bar that happens to have some very good snacks, and that's just what I need for lunch or between meals. I can't wait to come here with my girl friends and yap over a (well-priced) bottle of wine and a charcuterie board while looking at the boats!

Yelp
Opened about 4 weeks ago and it's packed, they've put a lot into the aesthetics of the restaurant and the location is amazing right in front of South Lake Union with the view of MOHAI and the Space Needle. They have a great patio space but it's limited and so they only take walk ins currently since they serve bottles of wine as well as per glass. This is probably the only thing that's great about this place which is disappointing since they are a newcomer to the restaurant scene but not new to the beverage and wine scene. Definitely understand that walk in policy since it's new and busy but the service here is lacking. After waiting 20 mins while the next table is getting their order of wine and food served to them. We went to order our bottle of brut cuvée at the bar. We did put our name down for a table and after the bar back came to serve our bottle we got seated. The server of the section did mention she would come around but never did. After getting seated we were waiting for the section server to come see if we wanted a food order but never came around. We had to wave one down so we could get our food and drink order in.

Yelp
Came by on Juneteenth and place was 75% full with a line. This place has amazing water views with a patio that's basically on the pier. It's the newly remodeled lake union pier, where the old Dukes was and has paid parking lot. Be sure to read the signs to ensure that your parking experience doesn't end poorly. They just opened and things are first come, first serve. I came by for the wine slurpies (Frosé) and was informed they aren't currently serving it. So, the online menu isn't accurate to the in person menu. We ordered; Guava Spritz MONTINORE ESTATE VIVACÉ PROSECCO Food CHIPS & CRÈME FRAÎCHE / 12 HUMMUS / 16 RADICCHIO CAESAR SALAD / 16 FLATBREAD mushrooms and chicken/ 18 Portions were tiny and drinks were nice. The chips and creme seemed like basic ruffles that you got charged $12 for. I would say that coming here after work, doing a business meal, and enjoying the weather and lake views are great and it's a lovely addition to our available.

Yelp
We had an outdoor reservation at The Cove on opening day at 1p. We had an excellent time sitting in the sun, sipping wine, and watching boats and seaplanes. Mikey was our server and did a great job. I had the MONTINORE ESTATE L'ORANGE first and then a glass off the BOREALIS VINTNERS WHITE BLEND. I enjoyed both but actually liked the white blend better. The Cove has a great vibe and location. I didn't get to try the food but it looked pretty good. Will come back.

Yelp
This place left so much to be desired. I was so excited to try this spot! They advertise moorage but there are No Mooring signs everywhere. We found transient moorage and went inside. We brought our dog with us because we assumed we could just sit on the patio. As soon as we walked in the front door, all of the servers standing around the server desk looked at us and started whispering. The hostess said "My manager said dogs are a hard "No", even on the patio". Even if we could've stayed, the patio with empty tables was a 2 hour wait. I'm pretty certain we won't try this place again. It would've been a great spot to bring friends visiting but there are so many other places that will get our service instead.

Yelp
The Cove is definitely not prepared at all for the seattle summer rush. I'm hoping they're able to turn it around asap - I also acknowledge that have been open a week so still working through the pain points on what works / what doesn't . ATM - I'd deem this spot a tourist trap, sadly. Everyone is all over the place and it's clear there has been either zero training or the D squad was hired but it's too large of a space to not have clear owners of a section. Wait times are absurd, I'm patient but asking for ONE glass of wine 3x and then arriving 45 min later is unacceptable. In addition, how does a wine bar run out wine...? Ironic...even beyond all of this, I can look past it bc overall the wine selection is decent and prices are reasonable for some QT gal pal time. What really sealed the deal for me is when our snacks came out to the table...for $12 you've ordered yourself ruffles' best and deans sour cream scallion dip along with $18 qfc shrimp cocktail. Don't get me wrong, I love ruffles and qfc shrimp Cocktail but at this price, I expect better considering at Terra platta their chip and dip platter is also $12 but is homemade chips with a real crème fraiche dip with a rooftop garden.
google avatar

Yelp
Wonderful space down by the water to watch seaplanes take off and enjoy a glass and a bite with friends. Staff are warm and inviting despite how many people were waiting for a table. Ended up waiting for an hour (expected) and found out you can make a reservation ahead of time. The wine list was a good size with a nice variation of cost. The only reasons why I knocked down my rating were because I had to pull a different staff member to pay my tab after waiting half an hour with no check in from our previous waiter. Also, there were empty tables open while people were waiting that could've been used, but this could be for a reason unknown to me. Overall, would recommend if you've got the time to wait.

Yelp
My sister and I came in on a Saturday around noon. We had great service from the staff and loved our drinks and snacks. It wasn't too busy since it was cloudy out. The vibe of the restaurant was great, it would be perfect for a bridal shower or something like that. Lots of space.
google avatar

Cyndi G.

Yelp
Service, views, atmosphere, food...ALL 10/10! I love the concept, the patio, the perfect bites, the design, the staff. For being brand new, it's clear they are passionate about listening to guests, and doing the Seattle waterfront right!
google avatar

Camille S.

Yelp
This place is all about style, trendy font, lots of plants, cute merch etc but has no substance. Wine menu was fine food incredibly mediocre. Got two drinks and two appetizers and was over $100. Not worth your money.

Alyssa J.

Yelp
Came in with a group of 6, there is an automatic 20% gratuity for big groups but we were not told that, so we accidentally tipped 40%! I would not say the service or the experience was worth 40%. We also were given a wine spritzer no one ordered, and we were told it would be on the house. Then, after I got the receipt, I saw we were charged for it. The food is also not that great, very very small portions for the cost. Be aware- sitting inside on a busy night is extremely loud. It's hard to even hear your friends talk. The location, vibe and wine was good, but pretty frustrated with the service, quality of food and overall cost.

K B.

Yelp
The wine is good the restaurant is not. We waited 60 minutes for a charcuterie board they forgot (which means they also didn't check on us during that time). The restaurant was so empty the staff were all hanging out. When we told the host we weren't happy it looked like we became their entertainment as they pointed and talked about us...and our waiter came over and said I heard about "your drama." We felt like we paid $100+ for the staff to gaslight us.

Yelp
Came in for a group happy hour on a Thursday afternoon to try The Cove. It is a very cute space with a good amount of seating both in and outdoors. Drinks and food were pretty standard Seattle pricing - nothing really stood out in terms of taste or uniqueness. It is right by the water and is a great ambiance, but a few cons to note: you have to pay for parking in the lot and dogs are NOT allowed on the patio. Yelp says they are, but that is incorrect. Overall, a pretty average experience - I wouldn't necessarily prioritize coming back, but worth checking out if you're in the area.

Yelp
I had really high hopes for this spot since the location is fabulous, the aesthetic and branding are super cute, and I love a wine bar. However, the service was unprofessional and the bar did not seem equipped to deal with the amount of customers that came in. I made a reservation in advance for a group of 10 people for a special occasion and after we were seated, it took at least 30 minutes to be helped, and even more of a wait to get the items we ordered. They were out of some of the bottles of wine we wanted and our server instead offered us opened bottles that would then add up to a bottle. We accepted that and our server brought 3 bottles of wine which added up to just over a bottle. However, around 20 minutes after dropping off the wine at our table, the server came back, and without giving us any explanation, took the bottles away. It was very confusing and the server was walking around the space ignoring us for a while afterwards. In general for food service, I have never experienced items being taken off the table without an explanation while we were still consuming them. Overall, this experience put a sour taste in my mouth for what I thought would be a great spot. I hope The Cove works out their kinks and hopefully has more consistent and professional service in the future.

Yelp
I came here on opening day and had a great experience, although service was a bit slow it was nothing out of the ordinary for a brand new spot. I was excited to bring friends back here because the bar is super cute. Unfortunately, I came back tonight and had a pretty bad experience. Firstly, the website says "walk ins only" which I thought was odd because last weekend they were only taking reservations. We walked in and were asked if we had a reservation, to which I responded that the website said no reservations or we would have made one. They said the wait would be 30 mins minimum or we could sit at the short bar, so we chose to sit at the bar. We waited upwards of 20 minutes for waters and menus. We ordered a bottle of wine and said we may be interested in food but needed a minute. Unfortunately our server never returned. We drank our bottle of wine and waited for someone to come and ask if we wanted something else to drink or food and nobody ever came. Eventually one member of our party got up and tracked down our server to ask for the bill and we had to wait an additional 15 mins for it to be brought over to us. Overall a super disappointing experience, especially after my last visit was great. We wanted to spend more money and support a new business but the service made that literally impossible. Probably won't be back for a while, at least until they work out these issues with service.

Yelp
The good things: the vibes, the views, quick seating on a holiday. That's about it. The bad things: the service was okay. Our waitress was very nice and ended up comping some items at the end. The wait for food was unbelievable. After waiting for about 20 minutes to order, we ordered 2 Cesar salads. It took over 45 minutes, until we couldn't stay any longer. In addition, another member of our table ordered side olives (the kind you dump from a jar to a plate) and that took 35 minutes. I'm not sure if it was poor communication between the wait staff and kitchen, or poor kitchen management. Whatever it was, it left a horrible taste in my mouth. (No pun intended, since we never actually ate.)

Yelp
Such a cute place!!!.... Everything was good! Wine was okay, food decent (for a wine bar not sure what people expect , other reviews bad?) and views amazing! Would be an excellent spot for a bachelorette, wedding shower, baby shower something that needs a beautiful atmosphere! Designed aspects of this place are so pretty! Could use some better vibey music, like Afro house or Keinemusik, something with a European flare sound really set it top notch! Ambience was slightly bland but thats my only negative. Will definitely be back!
google avatar

Tatiana K.

Yelp
It's new so kinks are still being worked out but the food/wine is great and ambience is great for a girls night but service is very slow. We ordered a bottle a wine and some apps and our server never came back with the check for an hour and hadnot checked on us. We had to walk up to someone for our bill and our water was never refilled. The servers were all drinking wine which is so fun but we did want to leave.

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere. Decent priced wine, with a beautiful interior and great patio. I also loved all the signage and branding, honestly i think the exterior is misleading but once you're inside it's a totally different environment. We sat both inside and outside and had an excellent time! We got one of their pizzas and the chips w/ créme fresh. Both were great, my only suggestion would be to add more chips because it felt like the portion was a bit small and they seemed like they weren't house made anyways. Otherwise, it's a beautiful location on the lake with great vibes once you get inside!

Niki A.

Yelp
Looking for a gorgeous view to enjoy a glass of wine--this is your spot. Some more bites to accompany the wine and view would be appreciated--and some happy hour pricing! Attentive service appreciated.

Yelp
If I could give this place a zero I would. Absolutely atrocious service very subpar food. The people who work here could not care less. I really wanted to like this place. It took 49 minutes for us to get one glass of wine we had to ask for it twice the value is unbelievably overpriced. The location I really wanted to like this place. I even wanted to give them a second chance because they've just opened But after telling the survey that we've been waiting 45 minutes for two glasses of wine, she actually gave me a dirty look and said that she was really busy. This is not how you open a restaurant I give this place six months to survive.

Jenna B.

Yelp
I rarely ever complain about service, but this was genuinely the worst restaurant experience I've had. My friends and I came here yesterday and were completely ignored for most of our visit. We ordered a charcuterie board and waited over an hour for it to arrive. When we finally got our server's attention, he casually told us, "Oh, looks like someone else got your order." No apology, just... oops. When the charcuterie board finally came out, it was missing the crackers. We flagged down another server who said, "Yeah, it's supposed to come with crackers," but then just walked away and never came back with them. At that point we gave up. To make things worse, while we were still waiting for our check, a woman came up to our table and asked if we were "almost done" because they wanted to seat another group. We felt rushed and totally dismissed the entire time. The only redeeming thing about this place is that it's cute inside and has a nice location by the water. This place is only good for overpriced drinks and Instagram photos.

Devon S.

Yelp
Would have loved a more knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating wait staff. And I would have loved at least one dessert wine option or at least some more aesthetically pleasing non alcoholic options. I was highly disappointed when I paid $5 for a bottle of iced tea.

Yelp
Dropped by in a boat on Friday evening and it was hopping! Managed to get a seat at the bar. Beautiful setting. Simple food menus and good beer and wine. Will return.

Yelp
The Cove has the worst manager I've ever dealt with. Completely rude, disrespectful, and embarrassing. Somethings gotta change or this restaurant won't be around much longer

Briana R.

Yelp
The food was great. We waited 30 mins for our first glass of wine when there were very few people in the restaurant. We also dealt with condescending staff. The wine was also very good, but everyone seemed to be aloof and not too worried about getting drinks/food. We asked to be seated outside when there were multiple open tables and were told they were being held for larger parties which never arrived for the three hours we were there, even thought there was no reservation on them. We would have happily sat on the couches or at a larger table with communal style dining but instead all larger tables remained empty for the entire three hours we were there. I would've hoped for a friendly staff, given we paid $35 for parking and the restaurant was pretty open. The wait in between and the vibes of the restaurant was also not kind. The ambience was really cute and welcoming, wish we didn't feel like such a nuisance.

Hanley C.

Yelp
The Cove is hot and happening! The atmosphere, decor, and music were divine--truly a stunning space overall. The location is unbeatable, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. That said, I do have some constructive feedback to help elevate the experience and make this place the best it can be: Food portions - The menu describes certain items as "large," but the actual portions didn't quite match that description, especially when dining with a group of four or more. It would be great if portion sizes were more aligned with how they're marketed. Also, attention to detail matters: our food took a while to arrive, only to be delivered to the wrong table. We had to wait all over again, which was disappointing--even though the food itself was tasty and one of our orders was comped. Service - The staff was super friendly and easy to talk to, which we appreciated. However, it took nearly 40 minutes for our bottle of wine to arrive, and then the wine opener was forgotten three times--delaying things by another 10 minutes or so. One suggestion: maybe equip servers with wine keychains or tools on hand to speed things up in the future. I know The Cove is still new, and I'm confident it's going to be a go-to spot. I'm sharing this feedback with love--hoping it helps this already-buzzing place reach its full potential!

Eunice Y.

Yelp
The ambiance is nice and the drinks were good, but we saw that we were waiting for our charcuterie board for quite a while and our server said that it accidentally got served to another party. When we did finally get our charcuterie board, we saw that it did not come with crackers which we thought was a little odd and when we asked someone about it, we never received crackers.

Annie B.

Yelp
Amazing service and food and of course a great atmosphere! The frosé was soo good. And you just can't beat that setting.

Dawn M.

Yelp
Beautiful view. nice aesthetics. The online menu does not match the current menu. "Bites" are highly priced and just meh. In my opinion they need to bump up the food. Service? They move slow. Waitress was unprofessional and seemed un informed. Only 2 weeks opened perhaps growing pains.? I will try again when they get it together:)

Yelp
So disappointing - every one of these reviews is spot on. Terrible service, I mean unbelievable. Staff not trained at all on food or wine or customer service. We ordered 3 things - everyone was wrong or took 40 plus minutes. 45 minutes for a bottle of wine is absurd. Worst part staff was not even apologetic. They did not say sorry for the wait. We even mentioned it several times as she walked by. My partners said he saw a staff member on Instagram while waiting for the drinks at bar. They rushed to open for the 4th of July summer rush and did not train staff or chefs or anything. Could have been great - portions not worth the cost very average food - nothing exciting or warranted for the $$. Great views and location - that is IT. Everything else very below average or poor. Bad service, really bad wine selection, bad value, bad food. Excellent location and vibe. Too many other better places to go. Sorry they bombed. I am in the hospitality business and I cant see how management let this happen. $12 for Ruffle potato chips and mediocre dip ridiculous. They have a lot of work to do -

Yelp
Went at 3 PM on a sunny Saturday in hopes of having a glass of wine outside. Only about half of the tables on the patio were filled, but we were told there was a 45 minute wait. Terrible service for a new establishment.

Yelp
I don't normally leave reviews but had to share my poor experience here. I was super excited to try this place but was highly disappointed. There was over an hour wait for 2 people on a Sunday around 3 to sit outside, but there was standing space which ended up being fine! We were told to order a drink from the bar and we could take it outside. The bartender working on 6/6 provided some of the worst service I've received. Incredibly dismissive, not helpful, and it took almost 15 minutes to get two drinks with only one other person who needed to order. When I couldn't pronounce a wine correctly her rudely corrected me as well. I tried to let this not ruin my experience but it unfortunately did and I won't be back.

Yelp
I rarely write reviews, but had to after my experience there a few minutes ago. We walked in and we were ignored for almost 10 minutes at the front of the restaurant. A person finally came over and said if we gave them a few minutes, they could seat us on the deck. We stood there and waited while this employee putzed around half heartedly attempting to refill waters at a few tables. A new customer walked without a reservation and was immediately seated at our table. This person realized they screwed up and proceeded to act busy and would not come back to the front. He was clearly embarrassed but wouldn't take accountability - instead just ignored making eye contact. It was bizarre. I'd avoid this place.

Yelp
I would like to start off by saying that I am not one to write any bad reviews about customer service because, as someone who works in F&B, I know how it's hard to see these. However, my experience here tonight at The Cove was one of the most humiliating experiences that I've ever had. I was on a walk when I spotted this restaurant and thought I'd grab something small to eat and it seemed like a nice place to do so. I was seated by the bar and was kindly waited on by my server who was very pleasant. However, after I had eaten my salad and was still finishing up my soda, this rude employee with brown hair wearing a black t-shirt and an unwelcoming attitude (who I am assuming was the manager since she was the only employee wearing this uniform) decided to rush me by pouring the rest of my drink into the glass and asked if I was going to get anything else. I declined and finished up my drink and asked the server for the check. I paid, tipped, and made my way out of the restaurant when out of nowhere the same rude person wearing the black t-shirt FOLLOWED me out of the restaurant and asked me "aren't you going to pay?" So I responded to her saying that I did and she replied to me saying that she didn't think so. I was APPALLED. So I told her that we will go back inside to find out whether or not I paid. I spotted the sever who waited on me and asked her in front of this rude person in the black t-shirt if I had paid and the server confirmed that I did in fact had paid for my meal. I was given ZERO apologies for this disturbing interaction and left. This restaurant has barely been open and this is how you want your restaurant to be viewed by your customers? The audacity of this person profiling me as a thief and as someone who would walk out on a bill. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a racially motivated move on her end since I am Latino. You should really reconsider her role at The Cove or it won't be open for much longer. Thank you, whoever you were, for ruining my night and ending my weekend with a terrible experience.
