I really enjoyed the headless shrimp and the king crab. The Cajun sauce was really good z I love extra spicy but we not wiling to pay extra $ for it so I just went with medium spicy. The hot was very attentive me kind. I recommend you trying this place and I hope you have good experience too.

First time here, and we're definitely coming back!! It's also BYOB!!! My friend and I both got the Lovers Cove (meant for 2 people). Perfectly seasoned, and delicious. There was so much food! We also ordered fries and their May special- Mussels Cioppio. They have a peach tea that we mixed our Kettle One botanical peach vodka with, yum. Great service too. Will definitely be back.

Stopped in for Happy Hour because of their sign outside and it was well worth a visit! We didn’t try the proper seafood boil this time, but look forward to returning. The garlic noodles were really good, as were the loaded tots! Definitely two appetizers worth trying and I appreciated the variety of apps and items they had on special. It’s BYOB, which is cool as well. I tried the Peach Tea/Lemonade and it was really nice. The service was friendly and they also have a whole area with delicious-looking popsicles, too!

First time at this place and been wanting to track down a good seafood boil place in Chicago for a while! Firstly, the absolute biggest surprise was definitely the fish tacos. Super flavourful and only $5 for 3! As for the seafood boil, I thought their prices were very reasonable and the seafood was very fresh. Overall a great experience but my only critique would be that they added more sauce to the boil bag itself. I found it a little bland and there wasn’t enough sauce in the bag and under the shells. Once I ordered extra sauce, it tasted much better and way more delectable! Would definitely come back but will continue to try some other seafood boil places as well

The food here was sensational. So fun and very nice staff. The lobster was amazing. Can’t wait to come back soon.

Service was top tier. Food was amazing! We weren't too familiar with seafood boil style and our server walked us through what would be good for us after some questions. Shrimp was fantastic. Fish tacos were AMAZING. Tea lemonade was a good compliment to our meal. We had the July Special Sweet Chicken Lollipop as well and it was delicious!

The paleta/popsicle station here is SO good. The flavor selection isnt huge but they are made very well. I got the mango with fruity pebbles and condensed milk drizzle and it was so good and creamy. My girlfriend had the ube popsicle with waffle cone bits and condensed milk drizzle! We had dined in originally for some of their seafood boil but unfortunately were not impressed with it. Their seasoning seems to be lacking flavor and overall nothing particularly special. Their ice cream station is a MUST though, so make sure to try it out if you are not dining in! Service was great! All the servers were very friendly and we had a great time :)

Brought my work team over for dinner! We had such an amazing experience. Food was delicious and the service was off the charts. We are definitely coming back! Highly recommended to anyone looking for a good seafood boil spot!

WOW?????? i'm honestly disappointed I don't see this place trending on tiktok or something. I ordered mac & cheese balls with the hot cheetos & the spicy mussels and it was fireeeee. it's a mixture of seafood with vietnamese culture infused but it's giving very modern tasty chicago food. I genuinely recommend this place & this place is BYOB so i'm typing this as i'm enjoying my highnoon and smacking on a wing. I can't describe the tastebuds i'm having rn but come here lol

So my lovely wife and I were bopping around town on a summery Saturday when she noticed a Happy Hour sign displayed on the sidewalk. It was stationed in front of The Crab Pad on Milwaukee Avenue. We were stoked, as this was a Saturday afternoon and we were about to come across some excellent Happy Hour deals! We did all HH specials, and they were all pretty good and reasonably filling too. The order of fish tacos is mind boggling - 6 little tacos for a buck each. Did I say I don't even like seafood? But I ate one of these fish tacos and it was pretty good (my love really liked 'em!). I went with the order of 4 wings - again a buck each. These are four entire wings, slathered in BBQ sauce (you can order other sauce options too), not just 4 pieces of wings. The order of nacho fries was good and messy, and a bit zingy with the jalapenos on top. Our server was enthusiastic and efficient. Our Happy Hour visit was fun, and we vow to check out The Crab Pad again when in the area.

Honestly, my favorite thing about this is place is the music haha. I was singing and eating. They were playing 90s-2000s r&b and hiphop which I love. We went on a Saturday, right when they opened. We made reservations for a party of 2, but it wasn't necessary. We did come at a weird time so that could be why. Most people don't eat at 3pm. The seafood was good, I'll have to save it is more flavorful than angry crab. It didn't "wow" us enough to come back again. There's a lot of seafood boil places in Chicago so we're hoping to try other restaurants. Again, this place didn't "wow" us but the food was still good. I wouldn't order the wings again. Nothing special about the wings. The garlic noodles were very good. I would recommend everyone to get the garlic noodles.

A group of us visiting from the Bay Area and the Crab Pad was amazing! It was so good and the customer service was phenomenal. If you're looking for a good Cajun place, this is the place. On a side note, the lemon juice in a bottle was a nice touch to my salt and pepper dipping sauce.

We got 1. Snow Crab Legs & Shrimp in Crab Pad style (house cajun) & Garlic Butter sauces. Added potatoes. 2. Garlic Butter Pasta 3. Peach/Mango/Strawberry Tea Lemonade 4. Customizable Popsicles Crab legs and shrimp were cooked properly and easy to de-shell. Sauces were flavorful but not as spicy as we anticipated. One was mild and the other we were told would be 7/10. Garlic butter pasta was delicious because it's garlic and butter and noodles. The tea lemonades were not sweet enough except the strawberry which was good. For Popsicles, I picked cereal milk popsicle, topped with fruity pebbles, and drizzled with dark chocolate and condensed milk. Freaking delicious. Tasted like the fruity pebbles cereal milk, was creamy, and the dark chocolate and condensed milk elevated the dessert. Overall , a very fun experience. Employees were very nice and I like the southern interior design.

Think your typical seafood boil type restaurant and mix that with some Asian inspired drinks, desserts, and dishes and you get this beautiful fusion of a restaurant here. This is quite possibly my favorite Seafood Boil restaurant in Chicago (and it's women minority owned!!). The service is quick and very helpful in deciding what to order and the overall restaurant ambiance is casual. Food value here is through the roof, especially if you have a larger party--they have great consistent deals depending on the day of the week. Food-wise I would 100% recommend the crab rangoons (they use actual crab meat here and it's so good), the garlic noodles, which you should dip into your seafood boil bag, and do whatever proteins you like for your seafood bag. Wash all that down with some boba or some Asian flavored ice cream.

Came in for their happy hour with the kids. They take reservations, so make them if you want to come and want to make sure you have a seat. Make sure you place your order before the happy hour time ends as they said their computer system is set up where the pricing for the happy hour changes to full price when time has passed. Metered parking, which can be difficult. There was a fair going on nearby so husband had to circle a few times before finding parking. Service was a bit slow considering how it wasn't that busy when we arrived. They provide aprons if needed. The happy hour price was good - but I'd avoid the wings. We were disappointed in the wings, it was so so so tiny. Kids loved the loaded tots and garlic noodle. I enjoyed the fish tacos. We did shrimp and mussel with butter sauce in case the kids wanted some. The shrimp wasn't fresh. Kids enjoyed the ice bar at the end. Maybe we'd enjoy if it we did snow crab or other seafood ‍ but I thought it was just ok.

Service was amazing and very attentive. This place has amazing seafood and had the snow crab, shrimp and crawfish. They were really tasty. They give you tools and aprons to make the work easier and to keep your clothes clean. They have a sink in the dining room when you want a good rinse off cause it is good but definitely messy. Definitely will be back to try some other items.

Not sure why seafood boil was on my mind for the past few weeks, but decided to give this place a shot since I enjoyed it with friends in person quite a few years back. Ordered delivery because...uh....lazy Sunday haha. Seafood delivery can always be a bit sketch, but I had high hopes. I ordered the 1lb snow crab+1/2 lb headless shrimp with the Crab Pad sauce medium spice. I would definitely do mild next time though because medium was super spicy for me! Sauce was great though and it was nice to be able to make a mess at home instead of in public. My husband got the crawfish+snow crab with mild garlic butter sauce and he said it was really good too. Might have over ordered, but got a side of rice, fries, AND garlic noodles but I'm looking forward to eating the leftovers tomorrow mixed with some of the extra sauce I had at the bottom of the bag. Food arrived HOT and no spills, so I was a very happy girl. Will definitely go in person again someday so we can hit up their popsicle bar at the end and try some of the yummy looking drinks on their menu!

This place was really disappointing considering the 4.5 star rating. If you've never been to a Cajun crab place then fine, it's good. But compared to other places I've been, this place was very mediocre. First off, the amount of sauce in the bag is minimal. We ordered two bowls of rice thinking we would have some sauce to sop up with it and there was nothing. The extra corn we ordered with our food was embarrassingly sad. It was toothless. Barely any kernels. The runt end of the corn. The clams special were smaller than littleneck clams. The garlic noodles for $8+ was pitiful. The amount was like a small cereal bowl size. We ordered a second bowl which ended up being larger. Really? No consistency? Overall, this place was very disappointing considering the high ratings and other similar restaurants.

My daughter has been wanting to try a seafood boil and the C tab Pad hit the spot! We had the garlic noodles which was phenomenal, flamin hot Mac and cheese, the Cajun bag with snow crab, crawfish, shrimp, sausage and corn and my daughter absolutely loved it all. We also had some of the topped popsicles which were also a nice treat! The staff is friendly and attentive and this was well worth the trip into the city!

This was my first time going to a boil restaurant and wasn't sure what to expect except that I would get pretty messy. I don't really have any complaints except the menu ordering system was a little confusing. There's a lot of information being thrown at you which was overwhelming for a first timer. Luckily I was there with a veteran that helped me order and all the flavours were delicious. Ordered the garlic butter noodles and fries on the side. In one of my boil bags I ordered potatoes as my add on which complaint the whole package. The restaurant was pretty slow that night so our food came pretty quick. Our server was very sweet and attentive. I'd come back and try some other combos for sure. I did see a very tempting ice cream bar when it was time to pay. I think I'll have to save some room next time in advance.

I just want to say...LEGIT the best garlic noodles in town. With out a doubt. The boba tea can be a little hit or miss. You know how sometimes the tapioca pearls can be a little mushy. Don't you hate that? But other times it's been totally fine.

My first seafood boil. Nice restaurant with a very pleasant wait staff. Rather noisy vibe, good radio music, not good if you are interested in a quiet meal. Order half lb snow crabs with headless shrimps in lots of mild Cajun sauce, nicely favored. Too much work to get the snow crab meat out. Overall, a nice fun place to go once in a while. My daughter in-law goes here a lot. She enjoys this restaurant much more.

One of the best seafood places I've ever been to! We made a reservation for 5 and got seated immediately when we walked in. The service was beyond amazing! All the servers were so friendly and made our experience unforgettable. Really loved how the restaurant's environment was very welcoming. We ordered a bag each and the crab was the best part. The garlic noodles were definitely worth it and don't forget to get the popsicle afterwards!!

The food drinks dessert service is great. I love the crab legs in crab pad style medium it's spicy but so worth it So glad the crab fries are back. The mango tea lemonade just slaps. Our server Gerardo was so attentive and friendly, made the already delicious meal even better. You have to leave space for their milk ice cream made in house. My favorite combo is chocolate MILK chocolate glaze fruity pebbles with a dash of condensed milk. I usually can't eat really sweet food but I will drive an hour to come just get this ice cream I swear. The music decor and vibes is immaculate. Honestly if you are still reading, how haven't haven't ordered yet! I'm getting hungry writing this review

Was looking for a boil spot and this place came up. It was helpful that it had an IG as well. We were there early, like exactly when the doors opened since we were sort of on a time crunch but within the hour it filled up. About the food b/c...duh that's what we're here for. Everything was yummy! && gave us the it's. Not bad on pricing either and it's a BYOB place. I had the shrimp and mussels in the Cajun sauce. Not the best picture of it but for the price of $30 pretty filling. Though everything was good and great customer service by the way ... the dessert was everythingggg I had the Thai Ice Tea with condensed milkndrizzled, dipped in oreos.

The only reason I am giving this spot 3 stars is because of our server Asia. To be honest, I have no idea how this pot has a near 5 star rating. The boil seasoning is flavorless and lacks the Cajun flavor and umami. The king crab was bad. It smelled horrible and was extremely heavily salted to try to make the rotting seafood smell. They charge an extra $1 for extra spicy... but I could not taste any spice... AT ALL... it was very frustrating. The rice smelled old and was seasoned with oil and lemons to get rid of the old rice smell. The elotes were flavorless... just some mayo concoction that didn't work well. I would not recommend this spot, nor would I bring my friends or guests. Food 1 (0 if I could) Service 5 Vibe/aura 2 (slow on a Friday night.. weird when everywhere else was busy) Price 4 (descent if quality was there)

I used to come here frequently few years back. Decided to have a small date night with my girlfriend last night. The food wasn't up to par like it used to be. They became cheap and not worth the value. The seafood boil wasn't flavor full enough, missing more salt, Cajun and butter. Also the clams were such a rip off, they were tiny as a nickel. With barely no meat enough meat. I probably won't come back again. Also why charge a 4% fee to customers? Add it your costs, sketchy for a restaurant to accept zelle. There's definitely much better spots out there like The Angry Crab!

We loved this place! The food was great and the service was amazing. We got the crab, shrimp and lobster in the house sauce and all were great.

They lied and said you get 6 jumbo wings for $13 and really you get three wings cut in half. When I called she said that's how we sell our wings but in all actuality that's not how you sell a wing because it's not even whole and y'all lying to customers paying their hard earned money for you to cheat them out of whole wings. The staff was nice though but unfortunately I will not be returning for them to play me again. Hopefully you don't get played too!!!

The crab meat was amazing!! Especially with the Cajun sauce! You just have to check this place out. The service was amazing. When I couldn't open the crab they got me every utensil they had to help me out. Get your hands dirty here don't be shy !!

WOW!! I'm a fan!! Being from the south, I know fresh and quality seafood... this place has it!! I've been wanting to give this place a try but never did until tonight when I was too tired to cook but was feeling "iffy" about having seafood delivered. Well YELPERS... no reason to be IFFY as everything arrived hot and delicious!! I'll be ordering from them again... shrimp and crab were cooked PERFECT!! Peeled super easy and wasn't overcook. Give them a try and you won't regret it!!

Ordered delivery from Grubhub - chose the Pick Any 2 and got 1 lb headless shrimp and 1/2 lb snow crab with potatoes. It was $31 but if you order through The Crab Pad's site and in restaurant, it should be $29. (We have the Grubhub+ membership) Crab legs are always a lot of work but I enjoyed it, and can't go wrong with the headless shrimp. All of which are nothing if it wasn't for the seasoning! We chose the CrabPad Style with mild/medium spice level. Truly the BEST I have ever had!! No shame but at the end, my husband and I literally used our hands as a shovel and ate ALL the seasoning...it was that good. I'm thinking we just order 2 lbs of shrimp next time, so it's more filling. For two people, it wasn't that much food. Will order again!!

The vibe is fine and the service was polite and informative. The challenge with this place is the food. There are now many places offering seafood boiled in a bag with spices, so the concept isn't novel. One issue is the seasoning. It's good, but it isn't nearly as good as most other seafood joints. I can't put my finger on why, it was just meh. Another issue is that I feel like the pound of shrimp here is less than a pound of shrimp at other boiled seafood places. The tiny clams were especially light on anything other than shells.

Garlic noodles are a must! Everything I've tried here is ridiculously tasty and flavorful. Shrimp boils are a little messy, but always worth it!

We been going to this seafood restaurant for a few years now . We loved it at the beginning, but recently the food does not taste as good as few years back , I guess when they get new cooks their recipe changes , flavor it's not the same , it's still okay Their sauce it's not as good as it used to be , when we order their shrimp crab pad style it's not buttery like before it's actually kind of dry Nos they put minced garlic on their noodles , they didn't use to put the garlic before , we liked it better before We will still keep eating there but I wished it was good like before

The food was so good I had the crawfish.it was seasoned perfectly.I had sausage on the side so good.The service was amazing are server was so nice.They had great ice cream as well highly recommend

The food here is absolutely delicious! I had the lover's cove boil with mild house seasoning and it was to die for. The tamarind really makes it. service was wonderful and the whole vibe is very cute. Will definitely be coming again.

Flavors are great. The Cajun option is delicious. Service was okay, our dump bucket was full and needed to ask a few times for it to be emptied. For the price I think it's a solid choice. Not super wowed but satisfied.

Food is great, waiter gave me ketchup instead of marinara sauce. Very decorated for recent holidays with music at a perfect volume. Would recommend making your own seafood bag and mozzarella sticks for cheese lovers.

Honesty and Neyra were great on our latest dinner at the Crab Pad. Few new changes but food and service still top of the line. Also, Neyra got us our crab fries back!!! Thank you!! Loved our night there as always. We will be back!

So delicious! We got the lovers cove in the house sauce, it was so flavorful. Our waitress Jackie was so accommodating and helped us pick exactly what we wanted!

My husband and I LOVED our first experience at The Crab Pad! The food was amazing everything was so flavorful. The Garlic Noodles are a must and Mac and Cheese Balls were sooo good. Ended the night with a yummy popsicle. Our server Isabella was so awesome and welcoming. Very attentive and she really gave us a great experience we really appreciated her a lot. Give her a raise LOL

Very very good... Went last night had a reservation and all was well.. Nena out waitress was very good at explaining things to us. W got a bunch of appetizers from hush puppies to crab ragoon to calamari and shrimp Very very good For our main dish we shared the pasta trio SO GOOD WOULD definitely come bck to this place!

We've been here twice so far, once in the restaurant and this time for takeout. We got the quarantine special. This came with 1lb headless shrimp and 1 lb of blue crab. We got it with a side of rice and medium spicy. This was the perfect amount of flavor and spicy. This is one of my favorite places for seafood in a bag. We also got a side of garlic noodles: at the restaurant; these were amazing! They were a little dry and harder but still worth eating. Crab Rangoon: these were a lot smaller than the pictures we saw online. They tasted just like crab Rangoon

WHEN you're looking to get your seafood boil on, this is THE spot! Mouth watering even talking about how great the snow crab and shrimp hit those tastebuds. Ask Mira or any of the other superstars that work there to throw the broccoli in the bag with all of the other goodness for the win. My wife and I went again last night and it had occurred to me that this could be one of our favorite spots here in Chicago. It's BYOB so bring it, open it and enjoy all of the incredible flavors that come out of that kitchen.

Our second time here, keeps getting better. The service is amazing, food arrives hot, fresh, and quickly. Auden has been lovely both times we've been in. I ordered the crab and shrimp bag lemon pepper butter sauce, shrimp was cooked perfectly. This is becoming our new date spot.

Been here many times and it never disappoints. Except this experience was different. In a good way. Our server Delilah was fantastic. She provided delicious recommendations and made sure that we had a great time during our dinner since we were celebrating my brothers birthday and he was delighted with everything!!! Place was really crowded, ambient not pleasant. The quantities were little for the price they had, the corn was decomposed so it was bitter, the potato tasted like nothing. If I could give the place 0 stars I would definitely do it. Service was OK.

I got a build your own bag. It was good a little heavy on the lemon other than that the flavors were on point. Service was great quick.

Our first time here and experience was great. Isabella was so nice and patient to help us in ordering what we like. The seafood and sauce tastes great. Will definitely come back and make space for their ice cream next time

Talk about a craving fulfilled! We've been meaning to go to The Crab Pad, but not living in the city and not knowing how parking would be usually deterred us from going. On a cold Friday night we just had to go. We're so glad we did. The Garlic Noodles were great, a little pricey for what you get. The seafood was cooked great, the flavors were spot on, the drinks were just as great, if not better.. i think I'd drive back to The Crab Pad just for their tea with chia seeds! The ice cream and the flavors were so hard to choose from but make sure you leave space in your belly for an ice cream with unlimited toppings! Expect to spend more, so good seafood, but it's so worth the visit!

The food here is DELICIOUS! Fresh, piping hot, and absolutely flavor full! The mango lemonade was A1. The best part was our server. Gerardo was AWESOME! Best service I've had in a while. He was attentive and I never had to look for him. I will definitely be back with family and friends!

$27 you pick two seafood. Came for the Monday special since we were in the neighborhood and we're not disappointed. Quality, flavor and price were all on point. We tried the headless shrimp & crab, and crab & mussels with the dry lemon rub and flavor was rich and decadent even without butter. The lobster was great as well for only a $15 add on. Sides of red potatoes, fries and corn were all delicious. Will be back with the whole family for sure.

We placed an order for delivery with 3 separate bags. 2 orders were for 1/2 lbs of snow crab, 1 lbs of crawfish. Both of those orders were so dry, they had almost no sauce at all in them. To the point where I had to melt my own butter and pour it into the bag. My bag has 12 tiny crawfish in it and about 3 handfuls of just arms and legs. Yes, 12 tiny crawfish total. The other bag had almost 20. What a rip off.

The food was phenomenal from This place and I do love my seafood. I just wanted to say that Luna was fantastic in handling the pickup and gave me a call to make sure that the driver was there and everything was being handled correctly Happy to order from here again
