"There are a lot of sweet ways to enjoy ice cream at this creamery. Recently-remodeled and now partnered with local Moniker Coffee Co., the store sources its rotating flavors from independent creameries from across the nation, from San Diego’s own Mutual Friend to longstanding brands like Fosselman’s and Petersen’s Ice Cream, offering scoop flights, affogatos, and pints to-go." - Candice Woo

The Craft Creamery Scoops Up the Country’s Best Ice Creams - Eater San Diego

"A new breed of ice cream parlor has opened in Point Loma where customers can taste through a curated collection from some of the top ice cream makers in the United States. Co-owner and operator Alex Bock, who currently works as an aerospace engineer, first got the idea when he was traveling the country doing demos for his jetpack company; at every stop, he would make a point to visit the city’s best breweries and ice cream shops. Inspired by craft beer bars, whose taps reflect the finest talents throughout the brewing industry, Bock created The Craft Creamery, which serves the top-selling flavors from a range of creameries across the nation. Though some of the ice cream makers he works with are too small to have their own distribution, Bock says he’s solved the logistical issues by arranging to pick up two to four pallets of product directly from each company. With ice creams constantly coming into the Rosecrans shop, he uses his inventory to offer a rotating list that could include flavors from Petersen’s Ice Cream out of Chicago or Seattle’s Full Tilt Ice Cream. The Craft Creamery also offers specialty drinks to pair with the current menu, like a honey lavender latte inspired by Fosselman’s honey lavender ice cream. Though he’s currently featuring OB Beans, Bock tells Eater that he’s planning to apply the same model to his coffee program, featuring the best roasteries from around the country. As he continues to source ice cream, he says that he hopes to open more locations of The Craft Creamery and build a wholesale business to supply restaurants and hotels." - Candice Woo

Ice cream was good and well price. Didn't see any parking had to park far and walk over. Staff is friendly and polite. Will go back again soon.

Google
I absolutely loved the flavors! The deal—4 cups for $12—is perfect for families with kids. Coconut and mango are my personal favorites, and they’re simply amazing!

Alex Barone

Google
This is a favorite post-gym spot! I often order a kids scoop which is perfect to try all the flavors over time. I always love the seasonal flavors, but especially enjoy the blackberry chocolate. Sometimes they are out of flavors at the end of the day, but recently, they’ve been well-stocked. Service is always fast and I enjoy having my ice cream inside or on the patio with plenty of seating available. Parking can be a challenge.

Jeff Cooperhouse

Google
Delicious ice cream at The Craft Creamery! We got two double scoops of yeti and double chocolate and smore and peach cream and all was fantastic! The servers are really nice and helpful. Nice outdoor dog friendly patio. Also connected to a coffee shop. Recommend!

Google
Almost missed this place while driving past at night. It is attached to Moniker Coffee co, but the coffee shop was lit up much better than Craft Creamery. There was a nice little outside patio for sitting and also a large table inside to sit too. The place was very clean. I got the Dulce de Leche and it was delicious. Although I wouldn’t call this place a creamery because they don’t make their own ice cream, however the creamery’s they source from are fantastic. The prices were very good for the quantity too.

Sarah Cohen

Google
Lovely staff, lovely space, horrible ice cream. Idk how you can name a place craft anything, when it is simply store bought brands sold at normal ice cream store premium. Honestly if the ice cream was decent- and repackaged- fine- justified pricing. But for crappy ice cream at a premium price? No way. 5 of us got different flavors and we all threw it out after 3 bites. Poor flavor, icy, not creamy, artificial taste. Hate to be this person but thats justt the truth

Jerome Cooper

Google
This place has great coffee, pastries, and cream. There’s tons of outdoor space and there’s usually parking and it’s easy to walk too. Service was great. If you are hungry though just know only their main location provides more hearty options this location is pastries only.

Julia Bu

Google
WOW - shared this location with friends before we even finished the ice cream. Several things that impressed me - have the option of flights with incredible pricing. 4 different flavors for $10. And the portions for flights was so much better than competitors nearby. - Lots of outdoor patio seating - Well labeled menu including icons for contains nuts, vegan, coconut, etc. Will be back.

Yelp
I loveeeee this place! Such a fun concept to have rotating ice cream flavors from various places. Great amount for a single scoop - $5 My favorite is the Tillamook flavors or when they have anything from Molly Moons!

Yelp
A source and distributor for local ice cream that shares space with Moniker Coffee. Get your cold treats and hot drinks all at one place! This small shop accessed through street parking has a few stools and benches for dine in, however it was a bit dark with minimal interior lighting when the sun was setting. There weren't too many traditional seats typically seen in coffee shops but it seemed the espresso machine wasn't the main attraction; the ice cream was! Due to the variety of flavors, it was challenging to decide at first but because of the limited stock and the ability to sample flavors, we were able to make our choices and start devouring our cones. I ended up with the Exhausted Parent which has a coffee base with chocolate chips. The service was exceptional and they were extremely patient with us as we took some time to pick the flavors we wanted to purchase. They also have color changing spoons which the kids find super amazing. In addition to scoops and cones, they also sell the ice cream by the pint. Find a flavor you just absolutely must take home to enjoy later! Overall, The Craft Creamery is a decent option to get a taste of local ice cream without having to make the trek to each one of those locations and is typically quiet enough for you to get in and out quickly without much of a hassle. Street parking can be a bummer but the side streets in the neighborhood usually have space. If you're a local or out of towner, you may want to consider making your way to taste The Craft!

Yelp
yummy!! Got the cookie monster. Really sweet! Ambiance was great, outdoor patio is really nice.

Yelp
Cute little ice cream spot in Point Loma :) They feature a wide variety of different ice creams/gelato/sorbets from ice cream shops around the country. The two staff members were friendly, they were also working the Moniker coffee bar -- I have to try that next time, it was too late for coffee for me. My son got the Strawberry ice cream (Tillamook) and it was so good! We've never had Tillamook before -- super creamy. I got a scoop of the Mango Tangerine sorbet (I forgot where it came from) and it was to die for -- really refreshing. We'll def have to come back and get a flight. I wish I got the Cookie Monster ice cream, hopefully it'll be there next time.

Yelp
What a beautiful concept to open an ice cream & coffee shop all in one. I'm still thinking about this ice cream I had on Sunday. I tried the flight which comes with 4 kids sized scoops (that are equivalent to your avg sized scoop of ice cream). For flavors I got the London fog, pistachio, rich chocolate brownie, and a banana based ice cream with peanut butter & chocolate chips. I forgot the names of the last two! If you like pistachio, you must try their pistachio ice cream. They do not skimp on the pieces of pistachio in this ice cream and I think this may be the best pistachio ice cream I've ever had. I need to grab a whole pint next time I go The banana flavored one with peanut butter swirl was also a favorite! I mean we finished all 4 scoops and left very happy I'd love to go back to try some coffee through Moniker Co :)

Yelp
TL;DR: hidden shop that carries flavors from multiple craft creameries from around the country. Super fun tasting and generous scoops - excellent service! Wanted something sweet after lunch so stopped by Craft Creamery and weren't disappointed. They had 4 different creameries with multiple flavors for each available for any size bowl/cone all the way up to hand-packed pints! Ordered the Fat Elvis (Banana base + chocolate + peanuts/PB) originating from the Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream shop out of Madison, WI. SO GOOD Wish they made and carried some of their own flavors but doesn't seem like that's part of their business plan :/ The servers were very patient with all the samples and gave us very generous scoop sizes I'll be back next time in the area looking for my sugar fix Cheers, Craft Creamery!

Yelp
I was in the mood for ice cream after visiting the Cabrillo monument and was pleasantly surprised to see there was this highly rated place right along the route I was driving. The shop was clean and nice and the staff was very nice and pleasant but the ice cream itself was a huge disappointment. They were just selling ice cream brands like Tillamook that you can find in any big box store. And then the selection was very small and not enough out the ordinary flavors. Maybe its just me but I go to a ice cream shop looking for unique offerings that I cant just pick up in a grocery store.

Yelp
The ice cream flavors are awesome in this quaint and cute little shop. You have to turn into a side street to approach the shop and it's only street parking but so worth it! The person working in the shop was pleasant and helpful. Ice cream flavors we tried are all awesome and they do split scoops- score! Can't wait to be back. Fun tip- this is close to sunset cliffs so - ice cream and hike - perfect combo!

Yelp
This place is my top 3 ice cream shop in San Diego. Strawberry and Cream is tangy and creamy not overly sweet or heavy my favorite kind of strawberry flavor. Dark horse coffee is got nice kick of roasted coffee flavor. I get why they have long line cause it's so so good!
google avatar

Yelp
I was craving ice cream and I wanted to try some in Point Loma. I found The Craft Creamery in the neighborhood. The place is very cute and they have some really nice flavors. The single scoop is $5, double scoop is $8, and there is a four-flavor flight for $12. We chose the 4 flavor flight so that we could try some different types. We had: - Strawberry and cream - Ube - Horchata - Sweet cream All of the ice creams were creamy and delicious. The best flavors in my opinion were strawberry and cream and the horchata, followed by sweet cream then ube. The service was great and the employees were very nice. I can't wait to go back to try more of their flavors!

Yelp
One of our favorite stops in San Diego! My kids had vanilla bean and strawberry can't beat it for $4 kids cup each. I had pistachio nut and cookie monster, so yummy! Excellent service and clean, love the renovation! Will be back again!

Yelp
Came here on a whim because my husband and I were doing a date night and needed a quick dessert fix on shelter island. We actually got here the minute the restaurant was closing at 10:00 p.m. but they still took us in! Stuff was super nice and served as even though they were cleaning up back there. Buckeye Blitz (chocolate peanut butter ice cream +peanut butter cookie dough +dark chocolate chips) was so beautifully Rich! I don't usually like chocolate flavored ice cream but this one was actually rich and dark and had those dark chocolate chips in there which just took it to a whole other level! Cookie Monster (blue vanilla ice cream +Oreo cookies +graham crackers +cookie dough pieces) was the perfect pairing on the side. Another customer actually recommended this when I was trying to figure out a good vanilla-y flavor to go with the buckeye and this was perfect. Good vanilla flavor and the crunch of the mix-ins was perfect.

Yelp
Where has this ice cream shop been my whole life!? Simply the best! You want a flavor? Craft has it! Service is SO kind. They encouraged me to sample even more flavors and helped make tailored recommendations. The gentleman working were so personable. Plus the shop is very cute and trendy! When I was young, my cousin ordered ice cream from the East Coast (where we have many extended family members) to be delivered to my family during a tough season. The ice cream was delicious and such a sentimental taste of family roots. It brought such joy to walk into Craft and see the East Coast ice cream brand that I haven't seen since my childhood. I will definitely be visiting again!

Yelp
The vegan options here were incredible! This shop is adorable. I love how it shares a space with Moniker coffee so you can choose between a caffeine fix or something sweet. Service here was also great. Very friendly and helpful and they give you a HEAVY helping of ice cream. Also, they carry a variety of ice cream brands which was interesting. I got the vegan cinnamon churro on waffle cone and it was heavenly. Not too heavy or sweet and had nice little chunks of what tasted like snickerdoodle. We sat outside to eat on a lovely sunny day and it was just perfect! Highly recommend this place if you are in the Sunset Cliffs/OB area. Definitely a place to stop by after you go to the beach. I will definitely be coming back here.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place! The vibe and ambiance were amazing right in heart of Point Loma and the staff were incredible. They were very friendly and accommodating. They made us feel like we were home having visited here for the first time. The quality of the ice cream was amazing. Very rich and flavorful and they are often changing their menu. My favorite was the buckeye blitz! This place is highly recommended!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is great! The ice cream was delicious and the service was friendly and accommodating. The place was clean and quiet and there was outdoor seating. Their marionberry flavor was to die for. I had it in combination with their s'more flavor in a waffle cone and it was decadent. Will definitely return!
google avatar

Kristen E.

Yelp
Think of it like a library of ice cream. They host a rotating card catalog of frozen treat makers, and you can check out a number of different flavors before deciding upon what you want to buy. I sampled the pumpkin spice latte, exhausted parent (bourbon and chocolate), and Tillamook's marionberry pie before settling on tried and true mint chocolate chip from Graeter's in Cincinnati. The portions are generous and the staff friendly. While you can eat in or out, we walked and licked our cones. Single-stall, gender-neutral restroom that is wheelchair accessible.
google avatar

Kapo K.

Yelp
It depends on which ice cream. I couldn't wrap my head around their business model. So they purchase specifically crafted ice cream from big brand names and they sell them at the store? Cuz it's weird to be buying ice creams from the brand I already recognize, but not at Walmart but in a ice cream shop instead. And you know what, I had to try several different flavors but the one I ate was pretty good, so much so that I am considering going back again. Cuz I don't waste time in a restaurant that I give 4 stars to. I review it once and I move on to the next. But yeah. I would like to come back here again. It was that good.

Yelp
This was a good find! It was getting close to 9pm and my friend and I wanted Ice Cream after our Galentines dinner. We found this place through Yelp and we weren't disappointed. This is right off of one of the side streets on Rosecrans. It was easy to find granted there was no traffic at that time. They don't have a parking lot but there's plenty of street parking. I managed to get street parking right in front of the place. The facility itself was very nice and clean. There's not as much inside seating, but there is some! I was interested in the fact that they carried multiple different brands of ice cream versus their own. But hey I guess its a way to show off other people's craft! I got a single scoop of cotton caa ndy and my friend got a single scoop of the superman. The prices were not bad! I would definitely come back and try other flavors!

Yelp
My family and I came yesterday on a Saturday night (4/6/2024) looking for a sweet treat. Two girls were working that night that had helped out my family. I had received mediocre service and it felt like it was such a hassle for the girls to give us any service. Keep in mind we have never been here before and we were looking forward to trying some new possible ice cream flavors. My parents were unsure what to order and my dad ordered an ice cream cone with two flavors but my mom disagreed immediately so my father told the girl to cancel the cone politely (so they can rethink about their decision). The girl looked at my dad and gave him a confusedly annoyed look. My dad had to get her attention again and tell her they changed their mind. He told her before she had scooped any ice cream at all and she rolled her eyes and aggressively put her scooper away. Instantly all six of my family knew she was letting her anger and/or stress on us. My dad said they would like more time to think about their order, and she gave a horrible attitude to my parents just for simply not knowing what to order. My dad had told the other girl working that he did not appreciate the service he was receiving and she replied with "well what do you want me to do?" He said he didn't expect her to do anything, but being rude and giving attitude was very unprofessional and just gave all of us a bad experience. The first original rude girl stopped serving my parents and just left the building completely. We got our ice cream and all six of my family ate it anyways, and it was pretty good but the service just ruined the night. Overall, the place is clean and the ice cream is delicious, but the service was horrible and it ruined the vibes completely. We will not be returning

Yelp
I love coming to this place to try refreshing and unique flavors. The ambience is nice, calm, and pleasing to the eye. The staff is always super friendly and more than willing to allow you to test out flavors until you find the right on for you. The only thing to note is that parking in this area is not great but this is to be expected for a lot of places in san diego.
google avatar

Anne C.

Yelp
Been here a few times.. while parking can be tough (street parking).. this is an awesome place to go for ice cream! Lot's of selections from different brands. Service is quick and they do offer samples. Prices are fair and the place well decorated and clean. Some tables both inside and outside.. a nice spot to sit and talk w yummy dessert
google avatar

Rose L.

Yelp
So many unique flavors of ice cream, and they were all great! The service is super great! Everyone was super friendly and they're super kind about samples. It's soo good we came back the next day with 2 more friends. It may be a little out of the way if you're not near Point Loma, but if you're going to Liberty Station, make sure you stop here.
google avatar

Maggie C.

Yelp
It was ok. They don't make their own ice cream, we thought since it said "Craft Creamery" that they made their own ice cream. We were basically paying for someone to scoop out a scoop of Tillamook ice cream ( which we could have gotten at Ralph's down the street) for us. When we realized this we decided to try their affogatto which was good. Service: well....the lady helping us seemed annoyed with us. She didn't talk much we tried to be upbeat but she was not having it. Oh well. Parking was also a hassle so we probably won't be back. We will get our Tillamook at Ralph's or just go to Baskin Robbins.
google avatar

Daniza M.

Yelp
I love this place! The fact that they have so many options to pick from is wonderful! What's even better is they let you try samples of the flavors you might like. The second best part is the friendly & professional service. But the very best part is the ice cream itself! So delicious! You can tell it's made from quality ingredients. I love it & I can't wait to come back. Highly recommend
google avatar

Kyle V.

Yelp
Fantastic ice cream! Very friendly staff and has a really good vibe. Instagram worthy and we'll decorated. They have a rotating tap of ice creams from around the country, all high quality. It is expensive and I wouldn't go just for a normal ice cream, but I'd you want a next level ice cream, this is the place to go. Perfect for a date night dessert or to try something new. They really need a bigger cup for the double scoop, the ice cream towers over the cup and gets very messy.
google avatar

Paul A.

Yelp
Delicious coffee creamery in San Diego! My mom and I were tourists from KY, and this delighted us on a slightly warm sunny day. I recommend the ice cream flight, as you get 4 flavor choices. My favorites were, in order from best-to-least: 1) Ube 2) Fat Elvis (peanut butter banana) 3) Mario Berry 4) Exhausted Parent (coffee) The milk used here is high quality and creamy. Prices were fine, and there's good outdoor seating. Highly recommended!
google avatar

Juzenne C.

Yelp
Really cool concept! Being in San Diego there are so many people from outside of the state and they may have your favorite ice cream shops ice cream! They had great flavors and great service, super helpful for giving samples and suggestions
google avatar

Farnaz N.

Yelp
The ice cream here is pricey considering the fact that I can buy a gallon of Tillamook ice cream at the grocery store for the same price as a scoop of ice cream here, which is $6. The Nutella flavored one was delicious. They have a happy hour discount if you happen to be there during that time. We were eating at Sushi Lounge next door and stopped by here on our walk back to the car. The service was nice and friendly and we're glad we stopped by and tried it. It's a hip and cool spot in Point Loma.
google avatar

Reesa A.

Yelp
Super clean ice cream shop! Street parking! Try all the samples. They have a rotating ice cream list but today i tried green mint chocolate chip and WOW! So good!
google avatar

Sarah L.

Yelp
My husband and I are visiting from Utah and craving something sweet so we saw the amazing reviews and decided to give it a try. We tasted a few of their ice cream selections from different parts of the US and I chose a half scoop of black raspberry chip (from Ohio) and melted chocolate (from Seattle). Both were amazing! The chocolate chips in the black raspberry were big chunks (yum!) and the melted chocolate tasted so smooth and has a little caramel/butterscotch taste! My husband chose 1 scoop of dark chocolate brownie (from Ohio) and 1 scoop of peanut butter cookie dough (from Wisconsin). So good!
google avatar

Faith F.

Yelp
Oh my gosh let me tell you !! Get the four flavor flight it's so awesome because it's a good price with 4 different scoops of ice cream. The flavor is amazing they let you sample as well. The servers are nice and helpful on things you'd want to try. And the location is cool because there is indoor and outdoor seating. And it's a really nice more modern ice cream shop.
google avatar

Liz J.

Yelp
My friend and I were eating around the area and wanted to grab dessert. Since we weren't too familiar with the area itself, we did a quick Yelp search and ended up here. My friend had gone here before and said good things about it so I was excited to go. What we got: Ice Cream Flight ($10ish)- This was a great deal! The scoops were pretty big and this entire flight could definitely feed 3-4 people. My friend got the coconut and candy cane flavors while I got the Nutella and coffee ones. The ice creams here are a bit too sweet for me. The Nutella and coffee flavors were pretty good and had a robust Nutella and coffee flavor, respectively. I tried the candy cane flavor and it didn't really have much of a mint taste to it. I don't typically like coconut-flavored items so I didn't really like the coconut one (if you do like coconut-flavored stuff, you probably would like this). To sum up the flavors, they were good, but pretty standard. The staff there is super friendly and helped us by offering samples to us and recommending the flavors. I really appreciated that as it was my first time there and I was a bit lost amongst all the flavors. To my knowledge, these flavors rotate every day(?). TLDR: tons of rotating flavors, aesthetic environment, and decent ice cream
google avatar

KB G.

Yelp
We were having an urge for ice cream while we walked the area and surprisingly we came across The Craft Creamery. Beautiful turquoise and all's on the outside and inside there was a variety of choices of ice creams. Different flavors that I haven't had and the guy behind the counter was kind and cool letting us try a few samples and answering our questions for recommendations. I chose the Oregan dark cherry ice cream in one scoop on the big cone and it was delicious!
google avatar

Nicolette N.

Yelp
This place is what it's named: crafted ice cream - and it's always busy! We came the first time and they were sold out of much, but we found choices to make us happy -I chose the soy cherry chocolate chip last time and decided I would order the kids cup next time (I can't eat that much in sweets). My order this time was "The Exhausted Parent" in a kids cup... we were all dying laughing over the name! So good and the ambiance is light and comfy too!

Yelp
We found The Craft Creamery on Yelp while looking for highly rated ice cream places near Downtown. The shop is located in Point Loma next to a sushi restaurant and attached to a Moniker Coffee Co. The area only has street parking but we easily found a spot right in front on a weekday evening. We were surprised to learn that The Craft Creamery doesn't make their own ice cream but instead hosts a variety of rotating flavors from small-batch brands, including Fosselman's, Tillamook, and Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream. I was more hesitant to get flavors from Tillamook and Double Rainbow as they're easier to find in pints/quarts in stores, but those could be good options for someone looking for a small treat or wanting to sample a flavor. I had the Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream's superman flavor while my friend had the Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream's cotton candy flavor. We both got single scoops for $6 each. It was a good size and an average price for a local ice creamery. The ice cream was delicious and a great texture, and it even came with a fun color-changing spoon! Great for kids and adults alike, the regular-looking plastic spoons turned blue when exposed to the cold ice cream! The shop had a few seats at a bar area overlooking the counter with a view of the tubs of ice cream and more patio seating by the street. Moniker Coffee Co. - inside the same building - was closed when we went but shares a seating area with The Craft Creamery. I'm not sure if I'd go far out of my way to return to Craft Creamery, but I would recommend friends go if in the area, and I'd love to see what new flavors are available next.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, clean, friendly service . Prices are good . Nice selection of ice cream from different creameries . My favorite was matcha tea. Kids really liked the Zanzibar , chocolate peanut butter and moose tracks . All were fresh , creamy , delightful and generous serving for one scoop.
google avatar

Yelp
Kept doing a happy dance during each spoonful, everything was delicious. This creamery rotates flavors from different ice cream companies, like Tillamook. Many flavors to choose from. Line out the door during my weekend visit. Two employees manning the store and they did a good job, still offered nice service. You can ask for samples. The flight comes with four surprisingly big cups of ice cream for just $11, which felt like a steal; perfect to share between 2-4 people. These flavors may not always be around, but the Blue Moon, Peaches n Cream, White Pistachio, and Soy Churro were all great during my first visit.
google avatar

Liz Z.

Yelp
Stopped here after grabbing a bite and so glad we did! Joey was an absolute sweetheart and gave us great knowledge on the background of the Craft Creamery. The flavors were so overwhelming (in a good way) and my best friend and I got to try multiple flavors and decided on mudslide, strawberries and cream, and matcha green tea! This place was so cute and loved that it's connected to Moniker coffee! Def will be back when we're in the area! Also a plus for having color changing spoons! LOL

Yelp
I've been here twice now. Very down to earth ice cream shop that is right next to a coffee place. It has a good selection of ice cream from many different suppliers in San Diego and they are all listed on the board. They give a large amount of ice cream per scoop so 1 scoop almost seemed like it was 2. I've never got the two scoop one but I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to finish it haha. They also have a kids scoop for anyone that might want that.
google avatar

Jason B.

Yelp
When you hear "craft" and "creamery" you think local artisan ice cream...but NO! West coast ice cream joints imported to San Diego, and I was a bit disappointed because half of the options were tillamook, which you can get in the grocery store!I llike having rotating brands, but I think you need to have your own too. Had the huckleberry cheesecake on a waffle cone... thick rich ice cream on a great crisply crunchy cone. I'll recommend my hometown brand from the Midwest, but until that shows up I'm not sure I'll be a regular.

Yelp
I just don't understand the business concept of this place? They sell the lowest end of ice cream you can get in any grocery store... and scoop it for you at premium ice cream prices? A gallon of Tillamook which is extremely subpar is $5.00 at the grocery store! But don't worry if you come here you can buy 1 scoop for like $6 The reviews for this place just don't make sense. They have a sign that you get a discount for leaving a yelp so I would guess that is why it has such high ratings... just walk another block and go to Ralph's ... buy and entire gallon of the same ice cream for $5 and enjoy your evening

Yelp
Delicious ice cream! Had some original flavors. Our favorite was "exhausted parent," such a funny name and the flavor was even better (espresso and bourbon, lol). Their ube was actually pretty good as well, it's not a fake ube flavor either. The s'mores was pretty delicious as well. The service was fine, the guy who helped us was kind of just whatever lol, not really recommending anything just waiting there for us to ask for flavors to try. But there was one guy who was interacting with the customers and was very attentive. But what can you expect from teens, i probably acted the same way at their age lol. Ambiance is casual. It can get crowded, but there are seating outside. Parking is a pain though, better know how to parallel park.

Yelp
The two young ladies working behind the counter tonight were awesome! Offered samples to help our decision making with the flight we ordered. All the flavors were phenomenal: Mango Sorbet Oregon strawberry Dulce de Leche Cappuccino Break Flight cost $15, for me that's a "splurge" on ice cream that isn't made in-house but the flavors were delicious. The interior had a modern minimalistic plant vibe which was aesthetic. The color changing spoons were a fun addition! Small recommendation for management, may want to throw the counter cushions in the wash soon. I would give this place a 4.5/5 but Yelp doesn't allow half star ratings. :(

Yelp
LICKS OF CHOICE (5 stars) I Love This Place. 5 different rotating brands with 4-5 rotating flavors per brand changing every few days. That's a lot of different ice creams to try and tackle. It's the ice cream shop that keeps you on your toes and coming back for more. Check their website (daily) to see what is being offered. Pros, variety. Cons, variety. It's hard to come back if you ever crave a flavor because it might not be available yet you might stumble on a new flavor. They do offer tastings! I've tasted quite a handful of them. But the licks of choices that I've had... REED'S DAILY - BURNT ALMOND FUDGE served on regular waffle cone. So delicious. Reminds me of a creamy chocolate base ice cream with fudge and almonds. Highly Recommended. CEDAR CREST - BANANA served on a Chocolate waffle cone. It was a toss up of a different flavor but chose this one to because I love banana ice cream and it paired so well with the chocolate waffle cone. JABA APPROVED. Until the next review...

Yelp
The name sounds like a home made ice cream. Sorry it is just bought from other places. So, they can choose good ice cream but there is no guarantee of the quality. It is a bad location, hard to find. If I want a special ice cream I want it made there or at least local. I can think of 4 places that there ice cream selection and flavor are better. Two are just down the street. The place was clean. Staff was ok. It's not bad. It's just not exciting. I will not come back.

Yelp
This ice cream shop is a hidden gem. Inside is small, but they have a lot of outdoor seating. They also have a small area for coffee drinks, which is a plus. Service and ice cream is amazing! The mudslide is delicious and my favorite flavor so far. Don't know what took me so long to try this place out. Check them out if your in Point Loma.

Yelp
It's just store bought ice cream. One scoop costs the same as an entire tub at the local grocery store. Nothing special... the service was sub par as well

Yelp
Hands down my favorite ice cream spot in SD. So many fun, revolving flavors at consistently high quality and creaminess. While the vendors rotate monthly, the flavors can change on a daily basis in which you can call in to ask if your desired choice is there. Note they don't take cash. =MENU= Mini scoop ($4) Regular scoop ($5) Large scoop ($6) 4 flavor flight ($9) Personally I find the mini scoop to be more than enough for one person and a regular scoop is a nice sampler of two flavors. Their serving sizes are massive so I wouldn't get anything larger than a regular unless you're sharing with someone. When in doubt, ask the staff for clarification, samples and recommendations. They're super knowledgeable and helpful. 10/10 for the welcoming staff. =FAVORITES= *Sweet Ash: don't be scared of the dark color! An earthier version of vanilla *Madagascar Vanilla: thick and rich, recommended as an affogato pairing. *Superman *Marionberry *Birthday Cake *Police Academy: espresso and donut mix. Not too sweet and the dark coffee flavor rounded it out. =JUST OK= *Mango Sorbet: melted fast into a sugary goop. Too sweet and almost tasted like syrup. *Salted Caramel: weak in both salt and caramel flavoring somehow. Bland. Every time I come into Craft Creamery, I leave happy and with another flavor. Clean, bright decor and spoons that change color with the cold, Craft Creamery does the simple things so well. Never bored and unsatisfied, come on by and try a flavor--or four.
